Hands down the blandest and most mundane flavorless Restaraunt in the area?? Not to mention the fact that the one white guy behind the counter with no hair net (not working and drinking a Coke out of a bottle over the cook line ,health department violation) was cursing and threatening to hit someone in the forehead with his bottle. If this was my Restaraunt I would be embarrassed especially after I mentioned that his language was vulgar and we could hear him in the eating area and he was visibly upset that someone would speak up. Definitely not returning. What part of life do people not understand that we go have someone cook food for us and if it is unenjoyable or tasteless we will not spend our hard earned money at the establishment again? Your loss whoever owns this place. Save your money and eat elsewhere unless you are starving and can't go anywhere else. read more

It's the only thing remotely close to Mexican food in south San Diego.. my kids really enjoy it... I think it's a little overpriced in comparison but since they are the only ones near by I will indulge every once in a while.. locations clean and the kitchen works quickly! Downgrading my review. I went on a Taco Tuesday and the experience was different. Fish tacos were still good. I liked that there was a lot of fish on the tacos but the beef/chicken tacos were dry and greasy. I mean if you're just looking for a cheap taco that is okay, then you're probably going to the right place but I'd rather spend another 50 cents or so and get a not dry and not as greasy taco. Still on the lookout for our go to Mexican food restaurant I guess. read more

Their food tastes good, especially the menudo and huevos rancheros . My only complaint is when you call in an order for pickup they still don't fulfill your order until you get there (20 minute wait) , so the call in ahead option is really useless. read more

Only thing somewhat good is the taco tuesday...other then that food is bland, not authentic mexican food at all...also has very rude staff, I ordered for a family of five, 9 tacos and sides of rice and beans, she gave me 5 little salsa containers, I asked for 2 more she told me no I can only have 1 more, I then asked again for 2 she argued in front of other customers and told me "no I gave u 5 already, so I'm only giving u 1 more" wow!!! Guess it's 1 container per family member if u go there!!! Hope the 1 container was worth the loss of a customer, and a bad review!! read more

This place has been a menifee staple for 15 years. Unfortunately in the last two weeks it has gone from excellent to horrific. Not sure if they got a new cook or what happened but the quality has gone to hell in a hand basket. My whole family has become ill the last two times we have eaten there. The whole squad is down with nausea and severe diarrhea the last two times we've eaten here. I think someone might not be washing their hands after the bathroom. Either way we've become ill twice and there will not be a third. Unfortunately after all these years we will never eat here again. read more

So don't bother with this place especially if you call in an order to expedite waiting. This is the 2nd time we called our order in and they gave us a certain amount of time until it's ready then we get there and they take your payment then mark the order receipt for the cooks to make the food! Just got back from getting lunch here & I feel like shit. The carne asada burrito was barely edible and was a serious gut bomb. Half of it sits in my trash can right now. I feel sick, really. The salsa bar has 3 choices of salsa, watery hot, watery medium and chopped onion & tomatoes & they all suck. The chips are like artificial cardboard & lack any flavor at all. The tacos are really good, but the service is seriously lacking. You'd think with their raised prices, they could afford a second or third cash register so the line isn't out the damn door on Tuesdays. Also, don't even bother calling in your order. No matter what, they always say, "It should be ready in about 30 minutes." I guess they should clarify that your order will be ready 30 minutes after you arrive to pick it up. Wow, you know a place is going to bad when they only give you one small container for hot sauce per meal you buy. They should have given us more containers to get more hot sauce for when we got home because maybe the flavor of the hot sauce could cover up the terrible taste of the food. The food was terrible. I am not picky with my Mexican food, because really how could you go wrong?... but this place proved me wrong. Ordered 3 street tacos, 5 rolled tacos and carne asada fries. Out of the three of us and our 3 hot sauces, we hated the food and it was pretty expensive for a mexican food place. Never coming back. I got the vegetarian tacos and they were the best tacos that I've ever had! My daughter got the carnitas taco and there was a ton of carnitas packed into that taco -- she said it was delicious. The service was friendly and efficient and the place was very clean. The only negative was the chips -- they did not taste fresh & I like when places serve warm, fresh chips. What a disappointment. This place has great reviews so I thought it was a no brainer. Sadly..wrong. First the chips are very bland tasting. The salsa was a huge let down. The hot had some kick to it but it had no real flavor, the mild was the same way. However I gave them 1 extra star for the amount of carne asada that was on my small tacos. A lot...but again bland. Well, we moved to the menifee area from the harbor area so we had really authentic Mexican food there. This place is just very mediocre. I can't really recommend anything great. The tacos are basic, burritos are pretty basic. They use peruvian beans. Not real frijoles. Carne asada is flat, no flavor. Carnitas are just roasted pork. Chile rellenos taste frozen or like they were made with cheddar or American cheese, gross. The caldos are really the only thing I could recommend, the chicken pozole & albondigas are decent. I think they've lasted this long because there really is nothing else in menifee. You have to drive to the Barrio in perris to get real Mexican food. Best tacos nearby are at the California Ranch Market in homeland highway 74, GREAT came asada tacos on hand made as you order corn tortillas. read more

Great first impression, staff was friendly, food was delicious, and the owner Susana took the time to make us feel welcomed.
