    Brown sugar rice cakes
    Christyl J.

Ive been going to the San Gabriel location for years and decided to try their other location. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable if youre over a size 34in waist. So i had to sit in a booth. The service wasnt that great as the worker didnt seem to care ehat was going on and they messed up our order. The food itself was ok. The golden soup noodle and dumplings weren't good at all. Weird texture for the broth. I've had these dishes at the other location and they were way better. The century egg tofu was good though, as was the toothpick chicken. But the brown sugar rice cakes was the worst. Zero flavor! Not returning to this location, too far away for just the equivalent of popcorn chicken.

    Chengdu zajiang noodles

I visited again for some quick lunch and decided to order the Chengdu zajiang noodles, an entree with mala spice. I've only tried the numbing and spicy sensation from mala a few times. I thought the mild version was my limit as anything spicier would've been too much for me. The tingling sensation on my tastebuds was a little strong even with mild spice. I had a honey-flavored jasmine tea drink (Kang Shi Fu), which helped with the mala sensation. The Chengdu potato snack (fried) had a sweet, savory, and mala flavor that tasted delicious. The server was also attentive and provided napkins when he saw that I was running out. Like the first time I visited, the ambience was relaxed and fairly quiet.

I been here several times. I like their dry minced noodles (chengdu zhajiang noodles) , the chili wonton, and the spicy fries. U can adjust the spicy level too.

First time trying this Mian location and I think it does taste slightly different than the San Gabriel location. The sauce in the Chengdu Zajiang Noodles tastes a little bit saltier. Noodle texture is still good though! Self ordering from the phone and minimal waitress interaction. The food came out pretty fast. It's pretty spacious inside and there are a good amount of tables and seats.

Craving noodle soup in Rowland so we got beef noodle soups, mild spicy was bit too spicy to me but other than that it gave what it needed to give ‍ easy quick bite option

This is the perfect spot when you're craving noodles, whether it's soup noodles or dry noodles, they do an excellent job. The highlight for me was the cheesy tofu noodle. Honestly, I didn't think it would be good, but it actually blew me away. The sauce was flavorful and balanced out the richness of the cheese perfectly. Everything we tried was satisfying, and I can't wait to swing by again to try more of their menu.

    * Toothpick Chicken: not super dry. very small pieces. * Chili Oil Chaoshou: pork wontons in chili oil. * Chengdu Zajiang Noodles: noodles tastes eggier than rice noodles. generic zajiang sauce. kind of salty. *House Beef Noodle: sub rice noodle. springier texture. *Hot & Sour Glads Noodles (vegetarian): soggy noodles. one noted, vinegary sour.

Love this place! They do sichuan flavors very well and it tastes pretty authentic. The service was fast and speedy and they accommodated for our big party. The interior was clean, not too loud, and well decorated. Loved the experience here!

My friend and I were really craving noodles, and found this place in the area of where we want dessert. And what a great choice that was! The noodles were the most amazing texture, the most tastiest sauce, and overall the most delightful experience. Service was so fast and really kind, and the seating was so spacious. We really really enjoyed our dinner here, and will most definitely be back.

Got the pork rib noodle soup for pick up. Was ready by the time I arrived, around 20 minutes. Food was very delicious and not too spicy! Noodles had the perfect texture and the ribs were very tender. Love that they separate the noodles and soup so that you can add the fresh noodles in when you're ready.

Scratched the itch for some beef noodle soup. Broth is very flavorful and they give you a lot for food for the price - honestly enough for 2 people. Recommend getting it with the mung bean drink, surprisingly refreshing and paired well with the spicy appetizer we got.

    Fun animated place mat.

AMBIANCE - Located towards the end of a plaza, you enter a pretty luxurious feeling restaurant inside with wicker baskets on the wall, mesh light fixtures, warm lighting. There's plenty of parking but I can see it getting busy. FOOD - I ordered their House Beef Noodle Soup with a side of intestines. This was such a warming and hearty bowl of noodles that I loved! The braised beef was soft and perfectly cooked to my liking. The noodles were smooth and delicious, while the broth itself was the highlight for me. It was incredibly flavorful and spicy enough to get a nice kick. I would absolutely order this. The side of intestines was just a recommendation from a friend, and although I loved it, I could've gone without it. Still very tasty! SERVICE - Nice, decent service. No complaints!

Today my noodle-loving family tried a new place: Mian. Parking was not too hard, we came in and found the perfect table, and ordered 3 appetizers, and 2 noodle bowls. Speaking of ordering things: they have online ordering, FYI. The service is good, but you don't see them much, really. The dishes come faster than average, and I smelled the noodle sauce before I knew it. The first appetizer that came was the crispy cucumber. It was crunchy and satisfying, then I felt like Remy from Ratatouille tasting something he liked for the first time. They sure are right about calling it crispy. The second appetizer that came was the Steamed egg and minced pork in a mug. When I first saw it, I thought the egg was tofu because it looked so soft. It felt like this savory, tasty pudding. The third appetizer was the Chengdu style potato snack. It was spicy but I also felt the calm potato cooling down the spice. It had the right amount of everything. Not too far later, the noodles arrived! We got the house beef noodles, except I felt that if we got normal spicy level, I would not be able to handle it. It just had this irresistible smell and... Oops I think I ate it all! The other noodle was the Golden chicken soup noodle. It was like an Asian sichuan spicy version of chicken noodle soup! I would definitely come to Mian again. This place is highly recommended for fellow noodle lovers!

Friday and Saturday nights the parking can be very challenging. Once seated service was quick. But here is how it works. You order your broth selection an some premium proteins online. However, SLICED proteins such as sliced ribeye beef, sliced prime USDA beef, and sliced pork are restricted to 3 dishes per order, must be order by request, and are prepared in the kitchen. Portions are small and not sufficient for two or more people. When we tried to order a second round, only two dishes arrived out of the 3. On the third attempt, nothing arrived at all. On top of that, the wait time for sliced proteins was extremely long. While the menu is promoted as AYCE, the service appears to intentionally slow down and limit access to the main protein items, which is misleading and disappointing.
