The front office staff were kind and immediately attended to my needs. They were calm and professional, easing my own anxieties since this was my first time. Imram was an amazing and helpful man. My car was in the shop from Monday to Friday. It was a swift turn around despite the amount of cars in the lot. When I picked it up, the car was cleaned and detailed on the inside.The only thing was that my phone charger cord was not in the car when it was returned. Imram did look at the pictures to confirm that the charger was in the car. He went back inside and talked to the manager, who gave permission to buy a new charger and they would cover the cost. I just picked up my suv from Michael j's and it looks amazing. I went in for them to fix my bumper from a fender bender after getting it appraised there. I was going to need a ride home and they informed me that my insurance covered a rent a car to come and get me and take me to hertz and get one. The best part is when I picked up my car you get to leave the rent a car there and hertz will pick it up. From day one to pick up it was 5 stars all the way. I highly recommend Jeff and the entire team at Michael J's! They truly go above and beyond with the quality of their repairs and customer service. In 2021 I got into an accident and obtained quotes from multiple body shops. I decided to chose Michael Js as they had weekend hours, are a certified repair shop for my car AND they gave me the shortest estimated repair time given the national car part shortages. I appreciated the fact that Michael Js scheduled my car repair after they had the required parts in the shop, reducing the amount of repair time. Upon inspection, it turns out the damage to my car was much more extensive than initially anticipated. Jeff did a great job updating me every step of the way. Despite the extensive repairs required, I received my car in a reasonable amount of time. The repairs were fantastic, high quality and definitely a source of pride for Jeff and the shop. I also received a certificate of authentication meaning if my car had any problems after repairs, I could take the car back. I took my Honda 2017 for a repair. It was one of the shops suggested by the insurance. Had good reviews. I am actually very happy and glad I brought my car there. Since the first phone call to the last minute we were there I got no complains. People are very nice and professional. The ladies at the front desk were very polite, funny and helpful. Viví was in charge of my car. She is also very helpful and professional. The best park of the whole service was that my car looks great just like new. I wish the communication was a bit better but my experience was great and the Job they did on my car so far is amazing-pending a back ordered mirror I have to wait for- out of the shops hands. I called our dealership service rep asking if they have a body shop division within the dealership or a recommended body shop. They informed me Michael J's was the place to go and I couldn't be happier with the call. The entire process (claim handling with insurance, contacting and arranging a rental car (which came to the shop and picked me up and then came to the shop to pick up the rental car), walking through the necessary repairs ahead of time and again after the work was completed, etc were all handled transparently and professionally making the process very simple and relaxed. I had needed some body work done through insurance, and Michael J's Body Shop's Taylor location had done previous work, so we wanted to try their new San Jose location. Set up the appointment to drop off, Mike Goulart had met with me and gone over the vehicle. While we were having the insurance work done, we had some rear bumper work done as well from an altercation with a dumpster. This review is overdue. Our daughter's 2019 Honda Accord was recently struck by a huge, fallen tree branch. The damage was to the rear trunk area, rear taillights, rear bumper and right fender. A friend of ours recommended Michael J'S Body Shop on No. 4th St. in San Jose. We really did not search or receive estimates from other auto body shops. We trusted the friend's referral and he was spot on. We met with "John"(adjuster) and he was very attentive. We spoke about the damage. We explained to him that the owner of the home whose property the tree was on would pay for the damage. John did a complete inspection and told me what they would do . He assured me that it would be repaired and look like a factory paint job. I believe his estimate was fair and honest. We scheduled an appointment and then took the car in. After a week or so, they called us and told us the car was ready. I arrived at the shop and was shown the Honda Accord. My, was I impressed! There is no visible evidence of a dented trunk or damaged rear bumper. They deliver what they promise. I cannot say enough for the outstanding work they performed. The staff is friendly and easy to work with. We received a follow up call to explain the payment. No issues there. I would definitely recommend this place. They do excellent work. Once again this is the Disneyland of car repairs! Jeff (the owner) is incredible! Once again, I wish they could clone him or make it a mandate that everyone who owns a body shop must manage the way he manages his business and copy his every move. This review is long overdue! Michael J's Body Shop did an amazing job fixing my black 1997 BMW Z3 roadster and left it looking brand new!! The quality of their work on the car was outstanding and so was their customer service. They allowed me to drop the car off a day or so early and allowed me to pick it up a day or so after they were done because I was going on vacation. Since this fix was a redo, they found that the hood had not been replaced by the previous body shop even though the other body shop said they did.
