I came in for an oil change on my Subaru Impreza. When I got home, I noticed that they did not replace the one-time use washer on the drain plug. I called and they confirmed that they had not performed this step. On the phone they said that if I came back that they would throw on a new washer. However, when I came back they told me that they weren't going to replace the washer. The technician told me that he didn't know much about Subarus, I explained to him that the washer had to be replaced every oil change, but he did not believe me and told me that they would not be completing the oil change to the manufacturers recommendation. Not to mention that I had to take time off work to come back just so they can waste my time and insult my intelligence (I am an automotive engineer). I could not believe that they would waste my time by having me come back just to go back on their word and leave me with a leaky drain plug. I needed an oil change desperately I came here on recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. I was a walk in with no appointment and even though try were busy they made the time for my car. They were fast and efficient and the price was great. They went above and beyond, I knew that I had a headlight that was out but didn't mention it to them, the guy who changed my oil noticed and told me they could change it for me! I brought my Volskwagon Jetta in to get a tune up and to see why my check engine light was on, and they did the tune up and also let me know that my map sensor needed replacing because that was why the light was coming on. We allowed them to replace the sensor than they said that another part had to be replaced. So we paid them and left. A couple of days later the light comes on and we bring it in and they supposedly fixed the issue. A couple of days after that it came on AGAIN! and this time it was a "different problem." They were rude and did not want to fix it, but after I basically begged them they finally agreed to fix it. Once again the light came on and we brought it in today and they told us there was nothing they could do for us that we had to take it to the dealership. Feeling hopeless is not a great feeling. Their customer service was poor, and they will not fix your vehicle problems. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO MIDAS EVER AGAIN. read more

First off I would like to say that the staff here is very nice, regardless of whether or not they are pulling a fast one on you. Here was my experience today: About 2 months ago I was at the Mitsubishi dealer having a routine service done. On the final print out they list everything from their inspection and they listed the brake pads at 3/16 and the brake fluid as "low". Thats pretty standard for needing your brakes worked on soon, so I noted it and planned to have the work done at a later date. Come today...I head over to Midas in the morning and talk to the guy. I tell him about what the dealer inspection said and that I just wanted those two things serviced. I had brought my own brake pads in as I prefer a certain brand/material so I had those ready to go as well. He said that they have to do the typical inspection regardless of me having the dealer information before hand. I said thats fine, thinking to myself "good they can double check how bad it actually is." 4 hours later I come back to pick my car up. Service done and ready to go, the guy comes in and says "yeah funny thing is your old pads still have half their life! Oh and the brake fluid was fine and in great shape! Still clear!" I say "Seriously? the dealer is pretty dumb...wow." "Yeah...they do that to just get your money. Tell you its bad and do the work even if its good. Ok your total for pads and fluid is..." So you are ripping on dealers when you inspected my car, found everything to be fine, and serviced it anyways? Isn't that what you were just saying dealers do and why I shouldn't go there? I'm not the type who throws massive fits in public. I paid for the work they did and moved on with my life. Its a lesson learned with this Midas and their view of customers vs the bottom line. I wont be going back there ever again and I hope my experience will help you make a better decision than I did. read more

I've only recently starting going here, but believe my search for a new shop in the area is over! On my first visit I was prepared to spend over $1,000 for new struts, strut mounts, probably new coils too, etc. But the guys were able to just tighten everything up and after the recommended replacement of my swaybar links, I was outta there for just around $200. Very cool! This Midas's prices are fair and their work is solid, but most of all I have to commend John on his excellent customer service! I truly feel he puts his customers first, and he genuinely wants his customers to drive away feeling satisfied. This above all, is what I look for in a new shop! Great job guys! read more

I drive an 04 Honda Odyssey that needed to have the brakes done. The price at the dealer was ridiculous so I started shopping around and discovered that Midas offers a LIFETIME warranty on brake pads. That's more than the dealer offered so I called and talked to Kathy (I believe she is the general manager). She was very pleasant and gave me a good quote. I brought my van in for service the following saturday at 8am and was really surprised to see that there were several people waiting ahead of me! Yeah, at 8am... on saturday morning... that kinda says something about this place in my opinion. Once I got to the counter, I was helped by a guy named Paul. He was very helpful and broke down all the charges and gave me a few options and recommendations. Never tried to push me into doing that or that, just laid out the facts and let me decide. That's the kind of customer service that I like. Two hours later, my van was ready to go... no hassles, no problems. I left my car with Gabe the technician for a third evaluation. The brake pads look good in my opinion. But I wanted to be sure. Dropped my car off for a complete brake job cause I didn't have time to do it myself this weekend and it was my only free day. Everything seemed fine. They called a hour and half later. I paid and picked up my truck.drove home and got out found a huge scratch on my rear door so I did a walk around found grease on my passenger mirror so I checked the pads they replaced, brake grease was used in very sloppy in excess to the point it was bubbled over. I've done my fair share of brake jobs and never left it sloppy cause when grease heats up it runs. So I wiped all the excess off cause I didn't want it to get on my rotors they replace in front and the freshly cut rear rotors. So I drove back before they closed got there at 555pm. I spoke with John who handled my transaction and told him "this huge scratch was not here when I dropped it off" yes it's a 13 year old truck and does have some scratches and I don't need anyone adding more. John's reply was "bring it by tomorrow and ill try to get some thing to buff it out "and mentioned there are smudges on the scratch . I told him that I was feeling it with my finger and nail to see how deep it went. He said it was on a lift the whole time and I don't doubt that,but you still ha e to drive the truck in and out of the bay.i doubt he will follow up about it as it seemed like since the job was done and I paid I as customer was not a priority anymore I'm giving 2 stars cause it was done a hour and a half. read more

I was just going to do the conventional oil change so I googled the closest place to go since I was at work and this place popped up, when I saw the price on conventional oil change for $ 17. 76 iI immediately called to make an appointment. Carlos answered and he took me in the same day even though it was already tight schedule. I came in and he showed me the things I needed and replace them with a very good price but then he also showed me that other things that seriously need replacement, that is why my car was rattling hard. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Took my car in for a check engine light misfire on cylinder 1. Changed the spark plug and moved the coil cap. Engine light came back on. Took it back for a full diagnostic. John called me 3 hours later to tell me i had a leak in my intake and the repair would be about $1000. My car is a 2014 so an intake leak seemed questionable. I had a smog check place down the street smoke test my intake and of course there was no leak! Luckily i checked into the quote before I let him do the work. Dont go here! If you have a quote from John, get a 2nd opinion ASAP! read more
