If I could put a -0 I would. Took my car to get an oil change on 5-9-16 two weeks later my car cut off on the side of the road. I checked my oil stick and it was bone dry. An inspection was conducted by them when I took it in for an oil change, so I'm sure if it was a leak they would have caught it, no oil in my driveway either. I called them and the manager Ron immediately become defensive. He claimed it may have an oil leak or it may be burning oil. Long story short the owner called me an said he would have a look at it. When I expressed concern about them not actually being certified mechanics he became defensive as well said a few choice words and hung up. I'm dealing with corporate now, but don't take your car here. I no longer have a working car, no way to work or to pick my kids up from school. DON'T TAKE A CHANCE read more

HORRIBLE! I WAS a customer of this place for several years, until new management took over within the last couple years. Took my truck in for a coolant system issue, and was told I needed a BRAND NEW RADIATOR. After everything, and a "$100 great customer" discount, I was quoted $1,200. I went to the Big O across the street from this terrible Midas, and was quoted $500, and my radiator was JUST FINE. I will never go back to this Midas, as now they're just a bunch of con-men. They also informed me of the factory recommendations according to my mileage and left the decision up to me whether or not to add the additional service. Will certainly be back. read more

I was going to write a nice review with more stars as "a" for effort...but THAT ship has sailed. Came in for fluid changes. Showed them what the dealer recommended based on the dealer's inspection. They decide to do their own inspection - completely unnecessary, took extra time that I didn't have, I never asked for it and was not told that they were doing this. During their inspection they break a part and, of course, they don't have it in stock. I do admit, they were super nice and drove me home (although I couldn't very well sleep at the shop) - hence the 2 stars. The part did not come in until noon the next day, so I missed a half day of work. They paid for an Uber so I could go from home back to the shop. I get my car back....filthy! My beige leather interior is covered in black fingerprints. Beige floor mats have chunky black grease all over. On a whim, I opened the trunk - my engine covers were in the trunk!!! They forgot to put them back and stuck the filthy parts in my clean upholstered trunk!! I'm leaving on a road trip tomorrow and I just finished cleaning my car and reinstalling the engine covers (did I mention they lost 3 plugs that hold the covers down? and that it's past 11pm and here I am playing with the car!!). I'm seriously ticked off. I have to get my car mats and floor upholstery shampooed. In many years I've never taken my car anywhere but the dealer. I thought I'd save a few $ and try a mechanic's shop--never again!! read more

These guys did a great job for a great price! Originally took my car to the dealer who wanted $850 for a strut mount not including the $2000 labor charge over a three day period. The Midas manager, Corey was able to replace BOTH strut mounts plus new struts and shocks within a few hours and the whole job cost less than the dealer wanted for just the single strut mount installation. Great fast service for a great price. I definitely recommend these guys! read more

Just to warn everyone, this location does NOT TAKE GROUPONS, as so RUDELY yelled at me on the phone by the owner (yes, the owner, who has little to no patience for customer service...) On Groupon, this location is listed first, with the address and phone number being at the top of the list. I had called a few days ago, told them I had a Groupon, and scheduled an appointment for an A/C recharge for 11:00am today. My husband goes, and is promptly turned away, with the owner saying his name isn't even in the system as having an appointment. I double checked the number I called, and it was that one, so who knows what happened... anyway, he literally turned him away. Now I used to run a Groupon for my business. I know how much of a pain in the ass they can be. BUT. I also understand that they can help create customers when treated well, and can help business in some degree. Not with this guy. I called him to ask why he wouldn't accept it, and he got so frustrated at me through the phone, pretty much yelled at me that he won't take it, he takes them at ALL other locations, but not that one. I said I had made an appointment, he said I didn't tell him it was a Groupon. (I did... that was literally the first thing I said) He said "well why isn't his name in the system if you called?" ...um, you're the owner, you tell me... Apparently, he has tried to get that location off of Groupon for weeks. Okay, again, I understand that, I know how annoying it can be to deal with them. But at this point, when I'm honestly trying to just inform you that it's still listed first, maybe take a deep breath and try to work something out? Instead of interrupting and refusing service, earning you a 1 star Yelp review...? To top it all off, while he was yelling at me on the phone, he says "I have another Groupon customer right in front of me, and I can't do anything to help them either." ...wow. Just wow. Some owner, huh? My husband called the Sunset location, who said (very politely) "yes of course we can take care of it, come on down." No trouble, no yelling, no frustration. Me and my boyfriend dropped off a vehicle as they instructed and waited two days for service that we didn't end up receiving at all.They did not call to update me at all on the progress of my inspection/service but we took the initiative and called both days. The first day they could not get to it because they were busy which I understand but the second day we called since they never did and their response was they couldn't inspect it due to a technical issue which I also can understand but they did not at least check the brakes like I kindly asked them to. They even offered to leave my car key under their doormat for me to pick it up after hours, which I felt was extremely unprofessional. It's very dissapointing because we saw all these great reviews for this Midas location and we had hoped for great service but did not recieve such, we just felt turned away and overlooked. Only nice thing from this experience is that they didn't charge us but they didn't even bother to look at the vehicle anyways so it was actually the least they could do. read more

Robert and his team are AWESOME! I initially had to take my car in for a bad vacuum brake booster. It ended up that I really needed new brakes as well. I wasn't hassled or made to feel like I was going to be oversold. It was expensive (all four brakes w/rotors and a vacuum pump would be), but Robert went out of his way to help me out with a coupon. After the brakes were done the car drove great, only my battery was shot too! So, the next day when I discovered my battery was dead because lights were on all night (oops!) - they sent someone to my house to give me a battery jump and followed me back to the shop!!!! They replaced my battery and did a 10 min oil change all for another great price with a coupon. I won't take my car anywhere else! Thank you for making my car safe to drive again!!! read more

I recently went into this shop because of car problems I had on a business trip I took to Las Vegas. My car starting overheating and my check engine light came on. I had my car towed into their garage the next morning at 8:30am. To make a long story short after their so called evaluation, they gave me a quote for $1,250.00. They explained to me that the whole radiator system hoses, tubes and thermostat had to be changed.Plus they said I needed a brake oil job and both my belts had to be changed. They were going to be able to do all this for that $1,250.00. This is their so called "experts". I did not feel right with their evaluation and it was for good reason. What those Bozo's at Midas did not know is that I had my car towed to another shop in Las Vegas who told me all that was needed was a connector piece for one of the radiator hoses and changed my water pump belt, brake oil was fine. The whole job cost $218.00, that is all I had to pay. Those CLOWNS over at Midas are a rip off to say the least. It seems all 8 Midas shops in Las Vegas are owned by the same person. AVOID them at all cost, they are big time CROOKS!! read more

Very disappointing. Girlfriend went in for an oil change and they told her $800 dollars to change her timing belt - one problem, her car (corolla) has a timing chain, not belt. Called my best friend, a toyota mechanic for over ten years, he died laughing, says his shop charges 185 to change the serpentine belt, and that they are a rip off. So in conclusion, I would say stay away from these scam artists, especially if you're a woman. read more

Today, I regretfully need to pass on my experience at this Midas Location today. I have recently moved to the Henderson area from out of state, and needed someone to look at an AC fan that was making a high pitched squeal, This location is very close to my house, and thought this would be a good time to use the service. I drove the car to the location thinking I would drop it off, and even had my wife follow so we could leave it for repairs. I arrived, and the place was not very busy, and was immediately helped by one of the employees. I explained that my AC motor was making a high pitch squeal, and he proceeded with gathering my information. At this point he started putting the quote together for a repair! Please notice that he had not looked at the car, nor even heard the sound I was referring to, he had not even left the office. 15 minutes later, I receive a quoter for a repair of $437.26 which included a new motor for $266.96. As the economy is tough, I have also felt the pinch and made the decision not to pay this at this time, so I took the car home. Once home I did some of my own research, and this is what I found. Replacement AC motor if ordered on line $79, I also checked with Oreilly Auto Parts which is located in the same area, and they quoted me $140. I decided to take a look at the fan myself, and found a nice you-tube video on how to access the motor and filter so I did. I accessed the motor and found that the cabin filter had become misshaped, so I pulled it out and turned the fan on, and the fan worked correctly, and the sound was now gone. So I drove to Oreilly's and picked up a new air filter for $20.53 (including tax). Regretfully this experience, leaves a bitter taste with not desire to return and use these services, while also leaving me wondering if others could benefit from my experience. read more

I took my truck in because the check engine light was on and I saw an ad online for free diagnostics. Now I know why they have to advertise free services, there's no other way people would come in here otherwise. They told me that I needed a new thermostat (which they would $200 dollars for!) and that I need my cooling system flushed (another $150). I went to Auto Zone and I received a free diagnostic and they told my that my cooling system didn't need to be flushed and that I could buy a thermostat from them for $27 and replace it myself. Thank you Auto Zone from saving me $323 from the crooks at Midas. I don't recommend anyone go here EVER! I know I won't ever be going back. read more

I stopped at this place on the way to my mechanic and let me tell you I am happy I did. I needed my catalytic converter replaced (P0420) and I already had the part. Jimmy the Manager was very up front and transparent about the services and the price. He was very fair in the installation and made me feel as valued as all of his repeat customers. They even had to do a little welding at the muffler, something I was not expecting and something that was gonna be another 30-45 minutes in labor. Jimmy went over the pricing and timeline of the job was very thorough in explaining the procedure when it came to the welding. Now I am back up and running! I wish I would have popped in here 3 years ago but going forward I know this will be my place any time I need to get something fixed on my vehicles. The crew was also excellent and very professional. I was thrilled with the service I received at Midas Muffler on Windmill Parkway. I went in for an oil change. While doing the safety check the mechanic found a couple of other issues that required attention. They were happy to show me the areas that needed work and explained what they needed to do. They were also happy to prioritize the work, doing what was necessary immediately and allowing me to schedule the other work after the holidays when I could better afford it. Service was very reasonably priced and quick. Everyone was friendly, professional and courteous. The facility was clean and comfortable with free wifi, charging ports and refreshments. I'm pretty old school and used the same trusted mechanic for 25 years, until he died. This Midas gives old school service. I've been floating from mechanic to mechanic for a couple of years and am happy to say that I will be returning to this particular Midas, regularly. I'll also be sending friends and family their way. First, this location seemed to be the only one willing to be accommodating; the manager at the desk was beyond friendly, even at the end of the day on a Friday! I swear I should have listened to the reviews before I came here! They were nice at first .... I guess it's because I came in with a fitted skirt and top... But any who.... I came in on a Friday because my car had cut off on me I had to actually get my car towed because it wouldn't even start .... I already knew what was wrong with it before I brought it in so there was no need for a diagnostics as they put it! I knew I had blowed my engine because the tow truck man was also a mechanic and did everything Midas call themselves doing I was trying to get an estimate on how much it would cost to fix it and if it was worth it.... Ok so fast forward they said I could leave it over the weekend since the store was close to closing...... Which they said was free of charge because I already had a stressful day the man was trying to be nice ! Cool! I was very grateful! Great disappointment! The day after my wife had an oil change and tire rotation I noticed all four tires needed air. My expectation was that was part of the Midas Touch Courtesty Check. Under inflated tires is a safety issue that should have been corrected when I took my car there for service. It make me wonder what other services were not preformed on my wife's car. I take care of my car... regular oil changes (full synthetic only), fresh tires, soft driving, covered parking etc. Car has 40K miles on it and never had an issue... took it in to service a rear diff leak ($500 repair) and thought to myself "ok at least my car is dialed in and should be good for a while". NOPE, few days later my car is miraculously failing to hold coolant in the reservoir tank, which by the way can cause complete engine failure and render the car as useful as a popsicle in Antarctica in no time flat. I left work to get lunch and my temp gauge lit up like the 4th of July so I checked under the hood and my coolant tank was bone dry. filled it up on the spot and it was down to half full the next day (making it pretty obvious that issue occurred within the same time frame of taking it to this Midas). I'd like to add that I have checked my coolant regularly over the last 3 years and I've never had any issues with it, aside from a minimal top-off I gave it over a year ago. Will I ever be able to prove this Midas did something to my car? Of course I wont... However I find it be a coincidence and a half that this issue popped up within days of taking my car to this place. read more

Took my car here and was quoted $2500 to replace all 8 injectors as they had failed. I could not fathom how all 8 would fail so I took it to Towbin, a high end car dealership, and got the job done for $500. Only one injector had failed and some other small part. Terrible that I was going to get ripped off fro $2000 more by Midas! Not recommended at all. read more
