I called before going into the shop and Jimmy was so helpful and welcoming on the phone. When we arrived he pleasantly greeted us and checked us in. Carl inspected everything on the car and made sure we were ready for our road trip. They topped off the car on fluids and filled the air pressure in our tires at no additional cost! As a women and someone who isn't mechanically inclined, I'm often put in a position that leaves me vulnerable to such services... but this was NOT the case at Midas! They said the car was in great condition and inspected it at no cost! In addition to this, it was a hot summer day in Vegas and the waiting room was refreshingly clean, cool, had entertaining TV playing, a retro arcade machine, and a counter stocked with refreshments! To Chad the Service Manager for this location and the rest of the staff I owe a great amount of appreciation! From the start of what resulted in two month ordeal, I was treated with respect, professionalism through out the entire process of getting my car fixed. It took this long, not through fault of their own, but because the faulty parts they kept receiving through their part supplier. Non the less they did not give me the run around they simply apologize profusely and told me my car was going to be fixed as promised without me incurring any further expenses. At the end of it all I ended up all brand new parts from the original parts from VW (something they don't usually do) and practically brand new transmission system including all part related to a 5 speed manual transmission (clutch systems, pressure plate, starter, etc...) to say that I would happily return for all future repairs needed, would be a gross understatement. read more

Went to this location on Saturday 3/12 there was 2 people in the lobby. Guy at desk saw that I had a Groupon in my hand and goes instantly you need to make an appt. Ok no problem, FF to the Monday appt, I arrive early, with Groupon in hand, Steve the Mgr, says that he needs me to redeem the Groupon on the app, which is acting up on my phone, I say ok we'll get to that point, he basically yells at me that I need to redeem it, ok I said I will, mind you I also have the print out of the Groupon, then he says BYE, we're not servicing you!! WOW, really. He wouldn't give me contact info for his district or anyone above him, he was basically a jerk to me, I'll never spend a dime at this place! Of you can't accept a Groupon promotion, maybe not advertise the promotion on Groupon. I had visited this business as i needed to have some work done on my car and was greeted by Steve, a friendly, generous and eager to please gentlemen who scheduled an appointment for me after reviewing my wants and wishes. I arrived, they were waiting a very knowledgeable mechanic by the name David took over and did a fantastic job as it required a more advanced solution. He has many many years at the wheel and it shows within his work. I was very pleased with the results. I came back after a recommendation of new tires was expressed and had those replaced. I went to this location for an oil change the other day and I'm glad to report a positive experience. I grabbed a coupon off their website for a $19.99 oil change and the total after the disposal fee was something like $27 if I recall correctly. Not bad at all. They seem to do a very thorough inspection and spotted a couple legitimate issues but not urgent stuff. I have some background in auto mechanics so I know they were not trying to play me. These guys seem pretty knowledgeable and honest IMO. Only a little pressure on the upsell to fix the issues, but once I told them I'd take care of it there was no more upselling. Manager was courteous though a bit free with the word "brother" (I counted 22 individual uses in the over an hour and a half I was there to get my oil changed). Offered everyone a standard $20 off their service, in person and on the phone. I went there because of a proper Yelp offer, but he would not take my 20% off Yelp coupon nor the $50 for $100 Yelp offer. I didn't push the issue, but he said "I don't think we take that here." And seeing as how he was the manager, I would think he knows. Due to not having the proper filter, service took three times as long as promised. Other people were coming and going, getting their oil changes or whatnot done in reasonable amounts of time, while I was waiting for the part to be sent over. I asked if $20 off the best you can do and there was not so much as a suggestion for a higher discount this time or next visit. Pretty sure the price listed was 35% higher than the highest Edmunds competitors' rates, as I had plenty of time to search the internet, though I cant be sure without actually shopping around. Still 25% higher after my ubiquitously offered $20 off. Though they did a good job with the oil change, I think, there wont be a next visit here. read more

Came to this place because it had 4 stars. The service was bellow disappointing. The gentleman at the front told me to get a tire and oil change should take no longer than 45 minutes. An hour in he lets me know that 'they sent the tire to the wrong shop' and now i have to wait an extra 30 minutes for the tire to arrive and be installed. I was pretty happy on my first visit for only an oil change although they added an additional charge sixth quart from the Groupon coupon. Went back next day to have front suspension work done. Was told that the job would take about 1 1/2 hours. 3 1/2 hours work finally done. When the bill was presented it was $80.00 over original quote. Took my car for a brake estimate. I had just taken it to my regular shop and wanted a second opinion. Midas was gonna charge me twice what my regular shop was AND when I decided to take it back to my regular shop they immediately called me and said there was damage Midas had done to the wheel well/part of the brake. I called midas and they just pointed fingers at my regular shop but why did midas never call or mention the damage. They said my car showed up with that, so why did no one ever tell me until I took it back to my regular shop. They are money grabbers. And they offered me no solution. Money grabbers. I HATE getting my oil changed. Mostly because I hate being harassed to spend more money on stuff that I do not need. Yeah, I get that you need to make money, but I'd rather pay an extra few dollars on my oil change just so that people don't bug me multiple times while I wait. This place handled that pretty well. I came in here to get an oil change after receiving a coupon from Smith's when I went grocery shopping. It said 20 bucks for an oil change and tire rotation so I decided to give it a try. I pulled in and was greeted in the parking lot by the manager who was friendly and said he could get the oil change done in under an hour, so I agreed to go ahead. He looked up the oil my car needed, rang me up (it ended up requiring more expensive oil than most cars-even my dealer recommended this so I agreed), and I waited inside while they worked on my car. They had coffee, water and a vending machine for soda in addition to a small TV while you waited. The building was WAY too warm though and there was trash all over the floor which was not really appealing. I was sweating just sitting there. As I left the manager said "I guess it is getting a little too hot in here." After no more than 30 minutes he said my car was done and I was given a free air freshener (a nice touch), paid, and was on my way. One thing I didn't realize until later though was that they never actually did a tire rotation (you could see them working on your car through the window in the waiting area). I'm not super upset about that as it wasn't needed on my car technically, but given it was a part of the coupon I presented I wish it would have been addressed. Oh well. Overall, not a bad experience, but some little tweaks here and there would certainly make this place significantly better. read more

I had about $3500 worth of work done on my Excursion at the Midas in San Antonio, Texas about a week before moving to Vegas. The drive was going decent until about Arizona when the Excursion started shaking so hard the roof rack was rattling, and then died twice while reversing I tried to go to the Midas on St Rose Hwy and the guy there was soo unbelievably rude, so I called this Midas in tears and Jabar answered and told me to head right over. As soon as I got there, I showed him my receipts from San Antonio and they got it in right away. Giovanni made it possible for me to drive it again, so I could make it to my hotel that night. Lucking HPD was able to locate it and it was undamaged, but I can't imagine having so little respect for their customers' property to leave a vehicle unlocked, outside overnight. Additionally we requested some information that the "corporate office" needed to provide and after calling 5 times and stopping by their office personally, we have still not received it. After buying a groupon for a brake job I made an appt. here and had my car there at time of appt. the guy said to come back in an hour and a half. Drove back an hour and a half later to be told come back tomorrow. Fine.. come back the next day and was called later and told it would cost $455 on top of the $230 groupon. In no world should a brake job cost $685 even if the rotors were bad which I knew they weren't cause I couldn't hear any grinding. I told them take it down. Had to fight with groupon about a return cause I was one day past the date of return. (Wouldn't have been if the business kept my appt) had my boyfriend and his uncle take my car somewhere else today.. whole job cost $250 and the rotors just needed turned.. Midas are crooks!! They tried to take advantage of me because I'm a female and know nothing about cars. I will never take my car here again and will spread the word about this horrible experience. Complete price gouging on parts. Brought my car in for service front/rear brakes w/rotors. Rotors were bad and they wouldnt do the brakes w/out doing the rotors. RETAIL price of Bo$ch rotors at the MOST expensive place in the area is 240. charged me 392. He tried to act like I dont know they dont even pay retail, much less almost TWICE retail. Oh but according to the tech guy I shouldnt complain b/c I only paid groupon price (they confuse what groupon pays them as the price I paid....cuz they're smart like that) for the service or should have taken my car elsewhere..my pkg was location-specific and was paid for....Never again. Bait and switch and predatory tactics. My wife went here with a coupon for buy 1 get 1 free oil change valid till 2/31/18 (in what year does February have 31 days?). She drives a 12 year old bmw 3 Series. Even though the coupon has pricing for full synthetic oil change they told her they would not honor it. She asked for an estimate for the oil change and also the check engine light that was on. She was then given an estimate for $2100 for oil change, new air mass sensor, cooling system flush and replacing a 13 month old water pump they said was broken that 2 other mechanics yesterday verified was fine and functioning properly. They then handed her a bill for $73.13 for "engine diagnostics" which they said must be paid to get her keys back. She paid and left. This place is the poster child for bait and switch tactics, deceptive trade practices and taking advantage of women with limited mechanical knowledge. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB and the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles. Horrible to treat any customer this way. read more

Yes...national chains CAN be HONEST! Everyone else wanted $700-800 telling me I needed pads & rotors all the way around on my car. This shop did the inspection with me standing right there. Turns out I only need front pads. Midas gives LIFETIME warranty on their pads too. So in the end I have nearly new rear brakes (nothing needed) and only needed pads on the front. Got out the door for $181.00 Highly recommend these guys. If you stop by...ask for Jessica. She owns this franchise location. read more

Taking your vehicle to a repair shop is almost never a good thing because that means money. Although I spent a few hundred on this visit it was still a very nice experience. The guys were great from the moment I walked in. I was not sure if my vehicle needed brakes or not but they were making noise. They did an inspection and found the previous place (Not Midas) in Florida had put the incorrect size rotors on my vehicle. Chad the manager ordered the parts and the guys had it all put back together pretty quick. The waiting area was clean as was the restroom and I was in and out. Thank you for the great service!
