2025.09 First time at this location, made an appointment on their website and found coupons. Monday 3:30pm appt quite busy, took 2 hours (and a nap) but the lobby is nice and free water/coffee. Also next to a Starbucks if that's preferable. My cars are old with high mileage so I opt for full synthetic. $80 with coupon. Tire rotation and general inspection included. Brought my other vehicle the following day, Tuesday 11am, completed in about 45 minutes no nap needed. Staff is professional and friendly. read more

I thought I posted a review but I guess I forgot. :( But my transmission died in my Hyundai Kona (do NOT buy a Hyundai, their transmissions are almost always faulty) buuuuuut Hyundai quoted me over 5k for a refurbished transmission and Midas was able to get me the same for 3k. It sucked but I appreciate them getting it done promptly and the car has now been running great for 2 months! I live out of the way but I would definitely drive here if I need their services in the future. Also, for any women, all the men working there spoke to me with respect. I was never talked down to or jipped on my costs. Which I don't know about you, but for me, that's hard to find in LA. Check engine light was on, oxygen sensors code, so I did not drive it until it was fixed so not to damage the catalytic converter so it sat until I took it to them, so the battery died, I disconnected it and charged it when I reconnected the battery the check engine light was off. They called me and said that everything is good. The car runs fine and I ask him, did they let it go through the drive cycle? He said yes, when I went to pick it up, I asked him again. Did you let it go through The Drive cycle, he said yes.\n So I took it home and when I did end up driving it, guess what? The check engine light came on. They lied to me unprofessional, untrustworthy. Possibly causing more damage because of his Lies. They are, or he is untrustworthy. And that is the older guy at the counter. Where should I begin with this Midas location first formost I've been having my 03 tahoe AC system looked at by few people Before bringing it to Midas they all had no the slightest idea of the issues My truck was having I figured bring it in they'd have a accurate answer of the problem after running the diagnositic to pin point the issue the result showed only that the compressor was seized so that was replaced after 2 day of them having it in their shop they call saying that its ready I go in they told me they only replaced the compressor and the whole idea was for them to fix it they never handed me the actual results of the diagnostic they conducted no cold air coming out or nothing also told me day of that the employee that does the electrical work not working there .so pretty much got suckered into applying for the Midas credit with my mom as co singner till this day no call or email after I address it to that clown rueven that place needs to get audited asap sure I'm not the only one suckered into their fuckery read more

Had called for a quote for a clutch and when i went in they suddenly told me about other repairs that need to be done when doing that repair. They tried adding on prices so i had to decline most repairs. Got the clutch done and was barely able to drive home. Brought it back the next day and the mechanic seemed pissed i questioned his work he told me were going for a test drive i said "what" and he barked to get in. He couldnt put it in gear and quietly said it wasnt doing this to him the day before. Clutch was not in the right spot and wouldnt go in all the way. Liam changed my tires and gave me options on which tires to choose, always providing his recommendations and explaining why he suggests them, but ultimately letting me decide. There are certain shops that simply go through the motions, do your oil change do a quick inspection, charge you and send you on your way. This Midas couldn't be anything more different. The service is impeccable, very knowledgeable staff and employees, explaining all issues and mechanics related to your automobile. I would say they go above and beyond to make your experience well worth the time and money spent. I was told exactly what my vehicle needed urgently, and what issues I could delay based on my ability to pay. Turns out I needed to replace my spark plugs, flush my transmission fluid and to my surprise, I desperately needed a new battery. Reuven, the owner, was quick to give me a quote on the repairs. I am definitely someone who compares prices AND I must say that I was quoted by far the best price I could find, even online. So I pretty much only trust this Midas with my precious vehicle. After the maintenance I realized that my van has been getting at least 100 miles more per tank of gas. I'm guessing it was the fuel injection maintenance. Either way I highly recommend this shop. They are straight up con-artists, thieves, crooks and scammers. 1. Got my brakes done and I noticed the car has poor stopping power and the brake pedal was spongy. I paid for premium ceramic brake pads and they installed some cheap semi metallic pads. My wheels becomes covered in black ink-like brake dust and I have to clean it every day. They also put the wrong brake fluid which will damage my entire brake system and would be very dangerous and unsafe to drive. They put the cheap dot 3 and my car requires dot 4. The brakes also makes a loud squeaking sound and also a clicking sound. When I looked inside the brake fluid resovor there is black gunk inside. They were also supposed to machine the rotars but they didn't because the edges of the rotars was still caked with rust and you can feel the grooves with your finger. 2. Oil change. I noticed my car was getting very poor gas milage and when I checked the receipt, they put the wrong grade motor oil in. They put 5w-30 and my car requires 5w-20. I don't even think they changed the oil filter because it looks like the same filter I got from oilstop. Now I average 15 to 16mpg when it was 20 to 23mpg. 3. Wheel hub. When I first brought the car in, I asked them to charge the driver side axle because it was making a clicking and grinding sound. They said it needs new bearings so I said okay. When I picked up the car they also said they replace the hub and which I did not authorize and charge me for it. Later on when I check the wheel the old have was still there they did not even change it and charge me for it. There are also a few other major issues of fraud and predatory lending practices but I'm too upset to talk about it right now. For them to rip people off during a pandemic and very hard times is a new kind of low. There is a special place in hell for people like that. read more

They Get Zero Stars from Me Knowing I had to have repairs done in order to pass smog inspection, Midas did the work not telling me that the work to be done should have been performed by an authorized Smog-only repair station. In the conversation I had with Mike from the BAR referee program that should have been disclosed to me. After finishing the work the vehicle still did not pass smog. I'm out $5675.00 and still have not passed smog. The DMV doesn't issue extension, so now I have a car that had all of the repair done to it, but sits in the drive-way because of a sensor that won't register. I've asked at the DMV and they told me they don't give extensions, so I have to risk getting pulled over and getting a ticket to take the car to have additional work done so it will pass inspection. Midas should have been upfront about their inability to comply with the laws in the State of California, whereas the work to be should have been done by an authorized repair shop. Before I started work I came across the street to drop off my car so it would be done when I was on my break and I could pick it up. What a day lol...I used to take my old car to Midas all the time but when I got my new car (now 17yrs old) I have been going between the dealership and Sears for repairs/maintenance (I love the Sears points). After Sears locations constantly closing I didn't want to deal with hunting one down and decided to return to Midas. I took my car in for brake service and the staff went above and beyond. They were very inviting, offered coffee and snacks while I waiter for my car to be checked. They called me and showed me my brake pads as well as rotors, they educated me on brake wear and tare, their warranty on the brakes and how long it would take for them to complete the brakes. Ruben and Jack delivered the best service to me and my car. Ruben let me know right up front that it would take some time to complete the work on my brakes. But the entire job took about 2 hours from start to finish. He let me know about their warranty, finance options, etc. Jack is very knowledgeable and loves his job. He took the time to show me my brakes, education me and actually completed the work on my car. He is a shining star and has an amazing aura. I am thankful that he gave the utmost care to my car.
