I've been coming to these guys for years! I cannot say enough about how much I trust these guys in fixing my car. They truly give you the best deal around, easily beating prices any dealer could offer! I brought my Dodge Ram in today and had my water pump, brake pads, and rotors all changed out. I brought the truck in at 11:30 AM and Tim, who I find is extremely patient and kind, gave me his word that they would do everything in their power to get my truck done by the end of the day. When I arrived to the store near closing time, 6:00 PM, I asked Tim whether the truck was finished. He told me that they were just about done. Midas closes at 6:00 PM ! Tim and Jonathan continued to work on my truck even though it was past closing! These guys stayed true to their word and I couldn't be more thankful. Our Toyota Sienna needed the alternator replaced. I arrived after 4pm. They close at 6 on Saturdays. Steve and his crew offered to stay late even though it was a four hour job. If they wild t have fixed it, we would have had to wait at least a week worrying about the van not starting with three young kids in tow. Over the past 4 years, I have brought my cars here and have always recieved the same consistent quality service. The guys here (Steve, Henry, and Mike) know how to treat customers and are never out to take advantage to earn a higher profit. Recently, the brake system in one of my cars was not performing at an optimal level (making strange noises along with a grinding feeling, etc..) and I thought for sure I needed new brake pads and the rotors worked on. However, when I went in, I was told by Steve (after the mechanics inspected the car), the work needed to to return my car back to it's original state would cost a hefty amount. Without hesitation, he went on to inform me that I absolutely did not need to have the work done anytime soon and that there was no danger/safety hazard associated with the way my brakes were currently performing. I was surprised at first at the honesty and integrity the team of supervisors and mechanics all seem to share here, however I quickly remembered this was just a continuation of the service I have already been receiving over the last 4 years. Had a car brought in and every time I brought it in it magically left with another problems, went from the turning signals, got it fixed, left with the headlights flickering, got it fixed, left with my radio not working, took it back the same day for them to check it out and my drivers side window stopped working. Spent about 1450 buying the car, each time I got it repaired it added up to 1350, almost paying for the car all over again within a month. Lovely. Customer service front desk was nice as can be, but whenever I was told I would get a call back I never did, I always had to call back, was told I'd get a call when the car was done and I spent almost a whole day without knowing it was already done until I called and they said "it was done in the morning." When I took the car back after my last repair about the radio not working when it did when I dropped it off, a the electric guys fidgeted with it for less than 5 minutes, got out my car and said "I don't know what it is" when he was basically pressing buttons on the radio the whole time and not actually doing anything at all. After this situation I ended up getting upset and talking to them about it and they said "bring a mechanic who can prove that we're doing this and we'll give you the repair for free" which seemed sincere at the time, but now that I think about it, it should be free regardless because as long as the vehicle is in their care and I leave with another problem that wasn't there prior to dropping it off, it should be free. So I ended up leaving and I will never bring my business back to another Midas again, which is why I started working on my own car because the parts are far cheaper than labor in itself. $15 for a new light switch, cost 350 to install $25 for a new multi function switch, that's another 275 Ended up paying 45 for a whole new radio, installed for free, worked perfectly fine, same day. Window repaired for $50. Take your business somewhere else people. read more

Came in for a fuel pump repair on a 1990 BMW and although they fixed the fuel pump the ended up breaking the locking mechanism in the door. Before I brought the car in the driver side door worked perfectly. The door was unable to be opened upon pick up and Midas agreed to repair the door. We waited for 8 months with no updates from Midas. After 8 months they said they bypassed the locking mechanism which leaves the drivers door permanently unlocked. They now are refusing to return the car to the original state that it came in. This Midas is dishonest and has horrible service. read more

My wife used them for the first time last week had a horrible expeirence. She went there for an oil change and possible brakes. My wife was there their $20 oil change special. He tried to charge her $30 and then after my wifes complained, he finally said ..."ohhh, thats right...ok...I will only charge you $20! (it seemed like he was doing her a favor!) I called around searching for the best place to have tires mounted. $15 this place said. Great! What a steal. $5 cheaper than anywhere else. The guy over the phone was great and they got them mounted quickly. Wow, I was inclined to leave a good review! About a month later I called up to schedule the other 2 tires. $15 quoted again. A steal! Took it in, they told me to pull it up and wait 20 minutes. No sweat. And then I met... The GM. Out this guy marches and asks "How were you planning on paying for the mounting?" "Credit, same as last time." I replied. "That wont work, we need cash." Confused, I walked to the desk to ask why. Before I could, he began to explain how if I paid in cash he could avoid putting it in the computer and being charged for disposal fees and such. "Okay, but you understand how that inconveniences me because..." I began to explain about how I don't carry cash and would have needed to go to my bank which was nowhere near. "Then we'll have them put your old tires back on." He interrupted abruptly and rudely. Taken aback, I shook my head with a smile and said "Sure, that's fine." For the next 5 minutes he talked over me about just being honest while I attempted to explain that honesty is not changing a deal at the last minute to deceive the system. All of his unfortunate coworkers shook their heads and closed their eyes as if to say "Not this again". My tires never got rotated, the air pressure was wrong, and my cabin filter was missing! How did I find this out? Bc I took my car in after I saw the light on for my tire pressure on. Came here for an oil change because it was closer than going to a Honda dealer. *thank you fellow yelpers in my area! * Every review has said the oil change is 19.99 but it is only for conventional oil** If you have synthetic oil the cost is 49.99 (that's the sale price) but is usually 69.99 but it does come with a free tire rotation and a courtesy check. The location is on a mini auto plaza next to the Tustin metrolink. It's kinda tucked in the back but not hard to see. Marco, who I assume is the owner, was very friendly and provided great service. He made conversation with each customer. One of my windshield wiper sprays had stopped working and Marco glad to check on it for me even though my oil change was done and I had already paid. i came here about 6 months ago for oil change a tire rotation. While there they claimed that you are not supposed to rotate your tires if the front ones are in better shape than your rear. I took their advise and opted to not have them rotated. Wrong decision. You are supposed to rotate them regularly so they dont wear unevenly. This weekend I took the car back for an oil change and requested to have the tires rotated. Aside from waiting almost 3 hours for them to finish I received my car with oil spills on the hood, oil marks on the door, oil spills on the engine and a lose battery cable. I am glad I checked under the hood while still there. I made them clean up the mess and reattach the cable. This place is a rip off with sub standard repair and customer service. I spent over $600 dollars getting new front rotors, new front brake pads, and new back brakes at this Midas location. Less than 10,000 miles later (around 6 months) I hear a grinding noise when I drive. I take it to the mechanic next to midas and they measured BOTH front rotors and found them to be under spec. When I told this to Allan the manager, he said that the guy made a mistake, even though I stood there with him while he measured my rotor, and kept telling me the rotors where new. He then called me paranoid and was upset at me for telling the mechanic next door what he said about him. Allan's own employee told me that the rotors where undersized!! I care about getting an honest job done on my car. I can no longer trust this location..even though I have been going here for years to take care of my vehicle. Allan did apologize for getting upset with me but the damage is done. I will no longer be going back to this location and I strongly recommend people stay away. The sketch factor with this Midas is too high for you to risk your money. If you value your time, money, and most importantly safety! STAY AWAY. They have a lifetime guarantee on parts that they include for you. It's a scam. It's a lifetime guarantee of you going back every few months to get the same stuff fixed because you feel like you are saving money by not getting charged for parts. They make most of their money on labor. Do your research, and find a good mechanic that doesn't have to answer to a corporation. I recommend Ronnie at Irvine Auto Repair.
