Honestly, it took me about 20 minutes of driving back and forth around the area to find this place.. it's located in such a hidden area next to the train station, and if you pass it, you have to drive a while to get back to it. That aside, I had a great experience here. A guy from O'Reilly's recommended someone here (I forgot the name) to change my car's headlights for me, so I came in and explained to the front desk guy and even gave him the name. But instead of getting the guy to come out, he did it himself. He came out from his seat and serviced my car right away. I only stayed there for about 10 minutes, tops. This location in Irvine is AMAZING! I had gone to the Midas in Long Beach and had such a horrible experience there, they were over pricing everything and were charging 30 dollars for a break inspection which is actually free here in Irvine. Here in Irvine they only charged me $69.99 for a synthetic oil change when Long Beach was trying to charge me $79.99 AND they even gave me a 30 dollar discount for the fee that Midas long beach charged me for the "Break Inspection" I was was helped by Henry and another guy whose name I can't remember and they were very helpful here. It's a franchise company so that's why the prices are different but this company is definitely the BEST Midas around. This morning when I discovered a nail was in my tire, I was so bummed. Thought my day was doomed, lol a bit dramatic but seriously I thought it was going to be a pain to have this fixed. I told him what I needed, showed him a phone picture, and a few hours later (I didn't need it right away) he had the pipe welded and bent to a perfect fit for my car with just the mediocre picture of my car and my description. Had a car brought in and every time I brought it in it magically left with another problems, went from the turning signals, got it fixed, left with the headlights flickering, got it fixed, left with my radio not working, took it back the same day for them to check it out and my drivers side window stopped working. Spent about 1450 buying the car, each time I got it repaired it added up to 1350, almost paying for the car all over again within a month. Lovely. Customer service front desk was nice as can be, but whenever I was told I would get a call back I never did, I always had to call back, was told I'd get a call when the car was done and I spent almost a whole day without knowing it was already done until I called and they said "it was done in the morning." When I took the car back after my last repair about the radio not working when it did when I dropped it off, a the electric guys fidgeted with it for less than 5 minutes, got out my car and said "I don't know what it is" when he was basically pressing buttons on the radio the whole time and not actually doing anything at all. After this situation I ended up getting upset and talking to them about it and they said "bring a mechanic who can prove that we're doing this and we'll give you the repair for free" which seemed sincere at the time, but now that I think about it, it should be free regardless because as long as the vehicle is in their care and I leave with another problem that wasn't there prior to dropping it off, it should be free. So I ended up leaving and I will never bring my business back to another Midas again, which is why I started working on my own car because the parts are far cheaper than labor in itself. $15 for a new light switch, cost 350 to install $25 for a new multi function switch, that's another 275 Ended up paying 45 for a whole new radio, installed for free, worked perfectly fine, same day. Window repaired for $50. Take your business somewhere else people. read more

I don't need that kind of attitude or unwillingness to EARN business. You are Jiffy Lube not a neurosurgeon and I don't have a tumor. GO TO MIDAS. Same parking lot. Save 40% and get better service. Came in the car for Oil Change before going to vegas. Standard Stuff. Oil change went off without a hitch and they rotated my tires with it. Total was $21.xx. All in all, great service, staff we're friendly, time estimates were pretty close. I would definitely come here again for my next oil change especially since it so close to my house. Came in for a fuel pump repair on a 1990 BMW and although they fixed the fuel pump the ended up breaking the locking mechanism in the door. Before I brought the car in the driver side door worked perfectly. The door was unable to be opened upon pick up and Midas agreed to repair the door. We waited for 8 months with no updates from Midas. After 8 months they said they bypassed the locking mechanism which leaves the drivers door permanently unlocked. They now are refusing to return the car to the original state that it came in. This Midas is dishonest and has horrible service. read more

He suggested we pick up the part from the dealer and come back to him. The repair was done in no time at all and... David didn't charge us for it... What a great service. I've done my last few oil changes at Midas and had some extensive brake work done a while back. Two oil changes at this location, one on Bristol in santa ana, brake work on Beach in Westminster. Oil changes cost around $150 at the Lexus stealership and around $60 at Midas. The stealerships always push as much unneeded service on me as one could imagine and Midas has only done a small upsale attempt once (which might have been legit). The Westminster guys replaced the brakes on my Mercedes CLS-500 for less than half what the stealerships wanted AND they didn't break anything or create any new problems in the process. This location takes appointments/reservations and has always been able to get the work done over my lunch hour. Much better option than the speed lube places where they don't let the oil fully drain, cross thread your drain plug, then air wrench everything back together. read more

I'm not usually happy enough with car repair service that I would bother writing a review. Today, I went to Midas for the second time this month. Both times were related to issues I had with my tires. Allen (the store manager) took care of me on both occasions and had me in and out very quickly as promised. His rates were VERY reasonable, the wait was short, and the service was great. What else can you really ask for? I highly recommend this place. I know I will be back when I have any service or maintenance issues. I've over heard Allen on the phone and he tends to beat the best price in town...he cares about making sure you get a fair deal! Took my car in for tires, alignment and oil change. I told Allen I was thinking about getting tires at Costco and he offered to match their price. Got hooked up with a set of Goodyears for less than what I would have paid at Costco. Allen has always taken care of my wife and I in the past and he didn't fail to do so this time. I am very picky about who I bring my vehicle to and usually only go on personal recommendation. I stumbled across this shop as I was looking for a place to have my 15,000 miles service taken care of and tires rotated. I chose this location (despite the fact there were 3 other companies near by) a. their hours are super convenient and b. they had an awesome special posted outside the shop. I was extra surprised to have received such great service (from Alan, I think) and felt so welcome. He was straight forward and ensured I was taking care of all the manufacturer requirements for my car. I ended up getting a phone call later that day letting me know that my car requires synthetic oil and it would be an additional fee. I have NEVER gotten a call like that before! Usually the shop will just surprise me at pick up with a different fee than what I was quoted. I was so pleased! I got my windshield wipers replaced and was happy to see that the pricing was fair and not the crazy exorbitant costs that most places try to tack on to convience purchases. So of course I went back at my 20,000 miles service and met Russ who was just as warm and friendly as Alan. I continue to be blown away by the level of professionalism, attention to detail, and overall great customer service I have been receiving from Allan, Marco and the whole crew. My wife and I (as well as her parents) have been bringing our cars here for the last 4 or 5 years, and I would not even think of going anywhere else. At the time I was due for an oil change, I also started to hear a disturbing noise coming from the brakes. I was fearing this would cost me several hundred dollars. After Allan and a mechanic inspected it, they recognized that the necessary part was covered under warranty, saving me hundreds of dollars. All of this was done relatively quickly. Besides, I would rather it take a little longer and all aspects of the car are addressed than have someone else rush though it and leave more repairs to be made in the future. I have been going to Midas for several years now and the service has always been exemplary. A couple weeks back I had some major maintenance done to my vehicle and had a new battery installed as well. However, recently (after returning from a week long vacation) my car battery completely died. I had AAA come check it out and it seemed that I left the light on in my car while I was gone. I took the car in to get the battery charged, but the store manager Allan did a full battery test and was kind enough to just replace my battery with a completely new battery for no charge. I feel sad to give a low rating to Midas. I've been through several states. Each time when I had the need for brake or suspension service, Midas always came to my mind first. Now I've moved to California. When my Sienna needed new brakes, I brought my car into Midas at Tustin. They told me that my car needed a transmission fluid flush. I trusted them. So in addition to the payment to brake service, I also paid for the transmission fluid flush. Later I went through my service records and found that I had the transmission fluid flush done by the Toyota dealer within one year prior to my visit to Midas at Tustin. This is clearly a rip off. Anyway, I was nice enough not to go back to them for any argument. After they installed the new brakes, my car has the squeeze sound when I brake. I thought it was because of the new brake pads and hopefully it would go away after a while. It never does. So I finally found some time and brought my car back to them. Midas is famous for their brake job. The job they did on my car just doesn't fit into Midas reputation. I thought I was giving them an opportunity to fix their bad job. Had I have done a bad job and the customer gives me an opportunity to fix, I would jump on it right away. However, they didn't appreciate the opportunity. The guy at the front desk blamed me not to bring the car back sooner, and he insisted that they only had time to check it out later. I left without having my car checked. I will drive this car with squeezing brake and with every opportunity to let others know that this is the outcome from a Midas brake service. I will also let this squeeze brake to remind me not to visit another Midas, ever. If you think about bringing your car into this Midas for service, I strongly suggest that you think again. read more

That has never been my experience here in the years I've been coming here. Allan, the general manager, makes sure he does everything to make sure you understand what's going on with your car in simple to understand language and gives you the fairest price you can find. The work is thorough and they take extreme pride in getting the work done right the first time so you won't have to come back. I've even seen Allan ask his workers redo work because he wasn't quite satisfied with how it was done the first time. What's also amazing is he remembers you by name when you walk in the door and will continue a conversation you may have been having with him from months higher. This Midas is awesome. Each time I come here to have my car's oil changed, brake pads looked at, or other misc issues they are amazing. For example and in my experience, I bring in my car for one issue and they inform me of a few other. Why is that good? Because this location doesn't only tell you something else is recommended but they show you, or take a test trip sample to show you, and even provide a pamphlet. These little things go a long way in building trust. My fiancée was there yesterday and was given a very fair estimate to have some engine work done. Marco, in particular, is great. He seems to be the guy I deal with when I go here and he's welcoming, cordial, and willing to go the extra distance for the customers. As I sat in the waiting room, 5-10 people walked up each with several requests (and a little more back story that may be needed) but Marco remained patient and abiding. Lastly, the pricing is great. Synthetic oil change, tire rotation, and inspection cost $49 for my Lexus (needs 6 quarts of synthetic). If I went across the parking lot to a competitor it was going to cost $89 and no tire rotation nor an inspection. I come here for all my vehicle needs. Got here right when they opened 730 am, on a Monday I waited 7 hours for an alignment and the car was NEVER touched it was still where I left it, I understood 2 hours, 3 hours heck maybe even 4 or 5 hours but 7 hours?? And I was actually very patient but when It was 230 and the car was still there from where I left it and they said they were gonna bring it in an hour ago and once it was 230 they still hadn't brought it in I realized it was time to go, whole day was gone and time wasted, nothing personal but I'll just go to Santa Ana or Long Beach... Stopped into this location as a battery terminal in my car had been replaced by a roadside tech and the tech urged me to have a mechanic check the wiring and be sure there were no other problems. When my car died in the middle of traffic, my Uncle Chuck suggested an auto shop that he's taken all of his cars to for the past 10 years. I'd only ever taken my car to the dealership that I bought it from. I spoke to the dealership about the possible issue and it was going to be way too expensive for me. My Uncle then spoke to his Midas shop in Tustin and we agreed to bring my car in. So glad I did! They were top notch, Tim, David, Steven (who worked on my car) and Johnathan, who answered my endless car questions.
