I called ahead of time to make an appointment for my synthetic oil change, and Henry helped me make an appointment for later on in the week. When I arrived, they took my car right away. I came for the $49.99 promotion, and after waiting a little over an hour on a rainy day, my car was ready to go. Henry even took off some money because he said I "waited a little too long". WHAT GREAT SERVICE!! I was really pleased with the service I received and I can really tell that this location has a great customer following because the mechanics are so friendly! Henry also mentioned other things that I would eventually need to fix on my car and to call whenever I was ready to schedule another appointment for those other repairs. Great service, quick and professional! They are fair too, my AC broke and they recharged it, noting they couldn't find a crack, but if it leaked again I could bring it back and they wouldn't charge me for the same service again (great warranty). Well unfortunately for me, we had to go back... And actually needed a new condenser. They ordered the part and let me know my car would not be able to be done until the following day because the part wouldn't be there in time to get it done the same day, fair enough. That didn't work for me so they were super flexible and let me pick up my car and bring it back the next day that did work for me, and they finished the job in a matter of two hours. And as promised didn't charge me for the recharge! I've also brought my other car here for other repairs in the past and it's always been a good experience. read more

I totally forgot about this place till my Dad recommended I come here. I have a 2012 car and I keep up on my oil changes and tires but haven't really had a whole diagnostic on my car since I've had it. I was planning a trip from SoCal up to the Bay so I needed to make sure the car was good to make that trip. I called the day before to make an appointment. I showed up at my appointment time and was able to get my car checked right away. After about 45 minutes they were able to update me on my car. Everything was good, but I needed my front brakes done( which I was expecting). They took care of it and were very accommodating, I'm coming back for an oil change and my back brakes soon. First time taking my car to Midas and unfortunately the last. I went in to have my fuel pump fixed. The next day, when I went to start it, the fuel exploded out of my car and all over the street. I called Midas right away and was told 'is there anyway you can get it here'. I was put on hold to talk to a manager and then the line went dead. I came into Midas desperate for an oil change. I was so frustrated my windshield wiper fluid hose had a hole and the dealership quoted me $300 to replace (ummmmm, have you seen the cost of living? I can't afford that). Midas not only did my oil change, but they heard my frustration and were able to cut the damaged part of the hose, and fix it for no charge. NO CHARGE. I was shocked to hear they were able to fix it, without having to replace the hose completely (and saved me $300). I didn't realize how dangerous it was driving without fluid to clean the windshield until it caused me to pull off to a gas station because I couldn't see. No one likes to deal with car maintenance, let alone being taken advantage of. I'm just happy I can trust the people here at Midas. The struggle can be real as a young professional, getting by with bills and living expenses, let alone having car issues. Midas for the win again!! We had our car next door at Purrfect Auto for an oil change and were told we needed new brake pads and rotors for $1,200. We dropped the car off the next day at Midas to see what they thought we needed and were happy to find out that our rotors were fine and we only needed front pads. Shout out to the guys at Midas Tustin for bailing me out yet again. We've been bringing all five of our cars to them for everything from oil changes to repairs and they've never let us down. For this latest one, my grandson had given me a set of metal tire valve caps in the shape of hand grenades. I thought they were pretty cool, so I put them on. Turns out the metal in the valve caps reacted in a bad way with the metal on the valve stem and they fused on. All my tires were low on air and I couldn't get them off even with a vice grips. The guys took care of it for me, installed new valve-stems, and did not charge me a penny. read more

Highly recommend not going to this location for any type of auto repair. My car was having driving issues, so I took it here for an inspection. They "inspected" it and said the engine block was loose and needed a repair of the motor mount ($600$) I drop my car off for the entire day, and when I picked it up and started it up, the entire car was shaking and vibrating. My civic sounded like a mustang and the contents of my glove box were rattling....this was how much my car was shaking. Not only that, my driving issue was NOT fixed. Instead of apologizing and trying to fix it, they were all stumped and told me they fixed my motor mount, and maybe I have a transmission problem....but they didn't know and offered zero solution. I refused to pay since obviously there was no service provided and I was concerned they actually damaged my car. The next day I took my car to an actual mechanic, who diagnosed the problem in 30mins and it was an easy $200 repair. This mechanic also told me the parts that Midas had put in my car were NOT factory grade, and things you can buy on Amazon for cheap. And they were also installed incorrectly. THEN, the next day, I had to return to Midas for them to take back the bogus parts they had unnecessarily put into my car. Also, with no apology for the 3 full days of inconvenience this caused me. Instead of just owning up to the mistake, the manager tried to back track and play games. The manager also told me when he "inspected" my car, he did not check the transmission, spark plugs, etc....they only checked the motors because "that was the issue" (obviously not) I would not recommend this location. read more

2006 Lexus IS250, got the car and bring for service. They offered me a tune up and one of them was power steering fluid. Year later I found out that my car is electronic power steering. This is outrageous and absolutely unacceptable. Will never go to that place again. read more

DECEMBER 2021. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST. THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU. In October of 2021, I towed my truck to them for a no crank/no start issue. I could not figure out what was wrong with my 2004 Ford Ranger. It would not take a jump or from research, fuel pump could've failed. The store manager, David, stated they would look at it and do a fuel pressure test. David called me less than an hour later and stated that the test found zero pressure. He never mentioned anything electrical or that I may have a bad battery. After a new fuel pump was installed, and I took the truck home, as it started like normal when I got it back. And which I believe they used a trickle charger to charge up the battery, I continued to have no crank/no start issues. I ended up figuring out that the battery had failed. It only had 8 volts max charge after testing it myself with a multimeter. And to this day, I have had no issues with my truck since installing a new battery. I feel David and his team failed at diagnosing the actual problem with my truck and a job was completed that didn't need to be done. Instead of being truthful and looking out for their customers, they decided to overlook a miniscule issue and overcharge me for a job that I didn't even need. I spent close to $700 overall when I should have only spent about $300, if I had their team replace the battery and labor only. I am very upset about my experience with David and his team. This had been my third job I had taken to them and they have lost all of my trust. I went directly to David about resolving this issue and offered to meet him halfway, but he never really wanted to resolve my concerns. It's basic common sense, if your starter motor and fuel pump are built for 12 volts, and your battery not meeting that amount from the get go, both of these systems will not work or engage. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

Their Customer Service needs work! I called to get a new set of tires and was told that they only work by appointments and to go online to make an appointment. I went online at 4pm and made an appointment for the next day based on the times on the website. I received an email right away stating that I will get notified in the next 30 minutes to confirm the appointment but I didn't hear back. The next day I called the shop and spoke with Marco and inquired about the appointment. He just said he didn't contact me because they were fully booked and that I should have made the appointment a week in advance. He didn't have the courtesy to call me to tell me that and to rebook? Was that too much trouble to pick up the phone? I ended up taking my business to another shop and got set up with new tires. read more

Thought I give Midas a chance to do both and provided car info and Sean said he would call me back with new tire pricing. No call back and tried again on Friday and spoke to Sean again who said sorry it's been busy and put me on hold for 10 mins and I decided to hang up. It's not often I give a five star review, but these guys will have my business forever. I took my car here because it was having some problems with the AC going out and they charged me once to recharge it and they put dye in it to find the leak, then they recharged it for me three more times till they found the leak. When they did find the leak, it was gonna cost me about $700 to fix, but I let them know I was struggling to save up I only had $600 and he told me he would do it for $600, it may not be a big deal to everyone but to me this meant so much, my kids didn't have to sit in a baking hot car for the rest of the summer. especially during these hard times with inflation it means so much to have caring people running businesses and it's hard to come by these days! It was so nice, makes you feel like you're from a small town with people that really care about you. I never thought I would get that from a chain business, but these guys are great I would recommend their business to anyone. read more

I had a few error codes on my car and I talked to David from Midas.To my surprise David listened to everything I had to say and diagnosed my car. He zeroed in on the one part that had failed without having to do trial and error replacing various parts. Technically he is *extremely* sound and knows his job. He explained in technical details (I am an engineer too) how the part failed and how it caused the error code to get generated. I have often seen mechanics doing guess work for the most part, but this guy thoroughly understands cars. There was **NO** price gouging or trying to fix more than what the customer wanted. 1. To most customers, their biggest fear is the mechanic would keep replacing parts doing guess work till the faulty one gets replaced. This creates an inflated labor and parts, service bill. 2. The second worry is, even if the mechanic knew exactly what had failed, they would expand the scope of work. With David diagnosing your car, you don't have to worry about any of these things. Yes I know, such mechanics don't exist but David is clearly an exception. I am writing this review primarily for David since I interacted with him and he took me by complete surprise ! George and his team by no small measure positively impact the Licea of the people they help everyday in an immeasurable way. I have used Midas for 20 some odd years and most recently moved to this area and have used this midas 3-4 times bow for my 2007 Mercedes E350 which is seemingly on its last leg every 6 months or so and this team of experienced Mechanics perform miracles to save my car from its age and my driving. My car was fuming (overheating) at the Costco Gas Station in Tustin and the gas attendant insisted I take it to the auto shop right away. My normal mechanic is in Westminster and the gas attendant said it was not a good idea to drive that far. The Costco gas attendant recommended this Midas location which was just a few minutes away. I called the shop and Manager Steve picked up the phone and said they would be able to look at it. Right when I got in, all the stations were full so I was freaking out a bit because it was just about an hour before the shop closed. But I pulled in anyhow stopped by the office with my little Yorkie-Chi under my arm and met the other manager, Henry. He was super friendly and even pet my dog. No worries there's stations on the other side of the shop. Phew! My technician Manolo/Manny was incredibly hospitable! The Midas team were able to diagnose and fix my car in about an hour. The Tustin Midas team are like the Avengers, man! Do not hesitate to come here! As a girl, I am always weary of auto shops overcharging me or ripping me off. These guys at Midas are the honest auto mechanics you need. I highly recommend and will be coming back in the future. read more
