I had a 9am appointment for an oil change, but called to say I was running late. When I got there 30 minutes later, Dar, who was super friendly, checked me in. He told me the mechanics should be able to take my car in right away vs the walk in customers, since I had an appointment. It was Saturday and looked pretty busy. The oil change also comes with tire (balance?)rotation and an all over basic engine inspection. An hour and 1/2 later my car was done. Went to pick up it was even busier, with more people waiting inside and also outside. The wait room is really small, that would be my only dislike. Checked out, paid my price, and he told me a few recommendations I could do for my car. Overall I would for sure be back. read more

I just redid the front suspension on my 02 Ford Ranger. Control arms and inner and out tierods. Needed alignment. Stopped in early Monday morning and was greeted by Thomas. Gave me a quote 168 which I thought was fine since it's a 4x4. When I went to pickup, Thomas apologized for taking so long. It wasn't like I was in a rush and I didn't have an appointment, but he still took me which I appreciated. Thomas handed me the bill which was 128. I was happy I was able to get my alignment, but 128 was a bonus. Thomas was very professional. I would go back for future alignment work. read more

My son's car tire got screwed........ He called all the other tire guys around town, they all were too busy or not answering the phone.......Seriously, both me and my son were calling at the same time, and no answer....Mahalo......mililani good year He called these guy's up and their answer was," no problem bring your car down we will check it out for you"......So with a screw stuck in his tire and the tire low on air, but still drive safe, we drove it up to wahiawa, to Midas.... Located in central wahiawa town, if you dont know where to look you could drive right by this place.....If your driving through wahiawa town, north bound right after you pass jack in the box, on your left side the second building is Midas, but I think its much safer to go around the block and enter through the back street, thats a very busy intersection....... Service was great, and we lucked out, when we got there they were not that busy so within ten minutes they were working on our car, our total stay, around thirty minutes.....Pretty good in my books...... Waiting room was okay, a big screen tv, coffee machine, soda machine and water dispenser , air conditioned room was a plus too.... Lady at the counter was cool, very talkative.....Hahaha.....She read somebody off as they went speeding through their driveway, I was like yeah you go girl...lol All in all......good place, friendly staff and service, if needed will not hesitate to use these guy's again.....Mahalo Midas read more

Very poor customer service with CERTAIN Midas employees. My husband walks in the office to get his final safety check done on the car and he was told "I'll be with you in one second." Meanwhile he waits for 15 min in the tiniest office to finally even tell them what he's there for, employees are having a blast talking about casinos, favorite hiking spots with the worlds most cutest squirrels. Seriously like wtf... waste of our gas to get there and back home + our time just for him to leave and not get any help at all. Thanks for nothing. Once agian that time of the year rolled around for a oil and tire change. I scheduled my appointment for ealry morn,showed up 15 minutes early and I was promptly taken care of. They had my oil changed and my two tires replaced within the hour!I was able to grab a bite to eat at Jack n the Box and come back to enjoy a quick massage in their talking chair.The guys working behind the counter were very friendly too,joking and talk story with me! We always come here to get our safety checks done. I think they offer appointment times to do so, but we usually just walk in to get it done. Usually on a weekend morning, we walk in, check in, and then walk down the street to get some lemonade or something, and by the time we are done our car is ready. Quick and easy! We originally came here because we needed to go to the dmv right after, but after the quick service, we just started coming here all the time for both our cars. Sometimes there is a line to be serviced, as no one is at the desk for whatever reason. Even so, the wait is worth it as the staff there gets through the cars quickly. read more

Overpriced and dishonest. I took a flat tire there for repair. They called and said that the tire was not able to be repaired as there was damage to the sidewall and that they would replace it. I wanted a second opinion and took the tire. I went somewhere else. It turned out to be a simple problem that was fixed elsewhere for a very low cost. THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE TO GO! These guys are crooked!! I'm reporting them to the BBB! Went in for a routine safety check and they tried to tell me they were going to fail my car due to absolutely no break fluid in my car. The fluid just so happened to be between the min and max marks on the reservoir. NOT EMPTY! I quickly drove to NAPA to purchase brake fluid and topped it off and went back to Midas. Upon their second "inspection" they proclaimed that my exhaust was "too loud" (it's a stock 4 cylinder car it is anything but LOUD). They told me they wouldn't pass my car unless I agreed for them to replace my exhaust. DON'T GO THERE FOR ANY SERVICE WHATSOEVER! They will corner you and try to make you fix something that IS NOT BROKEN in hopes of getting a simple safety check done. After that I went to Chevron Mililani and they passed it with no problems. read more

I originally stopped by to have my tires balanced but ended up having my whole car looked over. AJ let me know that my car was looking good except that it was well overdue for an oil change. She said that there was one car ahead of me but, if I was willing to wait a bit, she could take care of the oil change along with the balancing. I was then shown a quote of the services to be rendered beforehand and made aware of my options. AJ was straight up with no gimmicks and I could tell she just really wanted to get my car running at its best. Excellent customer service! On 2/8/21, I brought my 2008 Honda Civic in for diagnosis (intermittent difficulty starting). The girl at the front desk was very helpful and courteous and the technicians were very efficient and honest. Basically they diagnosed it honestly and told me it was the battery at fault (I had previously thot it was something else since the battery was relatively new). But I was very relieved that it wasn't going to be a very expensive repair. read more

Came in for a safety inspection and needed new wipers blades. The guys knew I had been in before and were quick to help get me out of there faster because I had my daughter with me. When I was told the price with the replacement of the blades I decided I'd get them cheaper at Walmart and come back. They didn't want me to have to come back so they price matched for me and got me all set up and ready to go. Couldn't have asked for better customer service. read more

I called this morning to see if I could make an appointment for an oil change. The girl said "as long as you are here by 3pm, we can get you in." So I get there at 2:45pm and she tells me "we can't get you in, I already sent all the oil guys home." There we're still at least 5 guys working and I'm super bummed that she didn't stick to her word or even offer an apology when I brought up what she said on the phone. I drove an hour from my house on the north shore and just ended up going to jiffy lube in pearl city where they took care of me in 15 minutes. You shouldn't tell someone one thing on the phone then not follow through with your promise, that's like customer service 101 lol read more

As a pre op trans I felt not only unsafe but demoralized by the males in this work place. For I was treated poorly and stared at like a freak of nature. To top things all off they did a sloppy oil change on my vehicle and left cigarette aroma in the front seat, the oil residue was left spilt on my engine case for I could smell the oil burning as soon as I turned on my vehicle. I do not recommend this place to any person. Please think about another job. read more

I have had my PT Cruiser in for service for a few things since I got it and I can't say enough good things about this Midas shop. Ron (the manager, I think...) and Craig (the front office guy) are always courteous, professional and helpful. They always seem to be really busy but have always found the time to work on my vehicle or to set up a better time and day for the service. I know a little about cars and their prices and services are fair and honest. You get what you pay for and they don't do anything unnecessary or without consulting you first. HIGHLY recommended! I hate to give out five stars but this place deserves it. I am very thankful for the service I received today. My car did not pass the Hawaii inspection and I was upset about what had to be done (breaks, tires, etc) I was almost in tears. Chester was very compassionate and worked with my emotions and explaining the work that was needed in terms I could understand. He worked on getting me the most cost effective path. My car runs great now and I would put my trust into their work! They completed the work within 2 hours. The lady at the front desk was awesome too! I would like to start this review giving thanks to AJ. She went far above and beyond our expectations. I have had multiple strokes and now am disabled because of them. There aren't enough words to express the difference AJ's warm and empathetic attitude made for me. Having a working vehicle is immense for someone like me. When it breaks and you're struggling to figure out the next step it can be daunting. Having someone like AJ walk me through this difficult process was so important for someone like me. -My mom has a hard time typing so I've written her experience to the best of my abilities. I would also like to thank AJ. I have seen people try and take advantage of my mom because of her disabilities. This place tried to rip us off. Went in with an estimate from a local dealership for new breaks and they wanted to do the job for the same price without warranty and it wouldn't include draining and replacing break fluid or smoothing down the rotors...everything that should be included in a break job. They said outside of the break shoes/pads everything would be ala carte. In other words their price was going to be more than the dealersip.....unheard of. Needless to say we walked out. read more

I didn't make an appointment but thought I'd try and see if they would be able to do my car. The girl behind the counter said they could do it but the wait time would be about an hour. They say to get a 10 percent military discount only got 5 percent funny math at midas. Next they charge 231 for a part on the internet 57 thru 69 dollars. O'Reilly and napa 105 average price. Very nice mark up. Over 100 percent mark up. They also charge 165 dollars per hour to install a rubber hose the part that cost 231 dollars. Three quick hose clamps to install the rubber hose. And the add on. So if possible go somewhere else other then this midas in Wahiawa. read more

Over two weeks in the shop and waiting for parts I was very patient and was told a few dates that my vehicle would be available. After calling on the first day my vehicle was possibly ready I recieved no answer, so I went in to the store right at closing and they said it would not be ready until monday, but no later than Tuesday. No big deal. I just asked for updates on status and I would be a happy camper. Monday closing time rolls around no phone call to me for updates so then I go to the store and they told me it would not be ready until thursday. I was pretty upset and all i asked for was requests for updates, i had booked a few events that i was going to show up to and have lost money due to my vehicle still being in the shop. So finally after multiple requests i get a phone call saying my vehicle would be ready, and went to go pick up my vehicle.vehicle was complete, but the store lost my caps for my tires. They assistant manager said they would call the mechanic working on my car to let me know when he found it. Still no phone call. After 4800 worth of repairs in this one visit I had expected better service. Not the case at this store. I still haven't recieved a phone call for my hubcaps or my lug screws. I am driving around with only two of them on my car.... read more

As a current Military serviceman myself, I was very confused to see these reviews on Midas giving bad customer service to my fellow brothers and sisters because every time I have gone to Midas in Wahiawa, they have treated me with so much respect. One time I brought my jeep there to have the oil change done and they told me that my brake pads were really low. The technician brought me to my car and show me how bad they were. I was shocked because if I didn't bring my jeep to have it serviced, I would of never known. I told them to please changed it. And a big surprise to me, they gave me a discount because im in the military. I highly recommend Midas in Wahiawa to everyone who is in the military. They really care. read more

This place has horrible customer service. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change. One of the employers quoted me $34 over the phone after I gave him the exact make model and year of my vehicle. He said they were currently having a special for oil changes. When I came in the next day for my appointment the woman at the counter told me it was $45. Even after I told her that I was not told this price she refused to honor the price I was quoted saying that I needed to have a coupon (which she pulled out in front of me) to be given that price. I was never told about a coupon and I had driven 30mins out of my way so I was definitely enraged and aggravated. I chose not to receive their services. read more

I am giving this a 2 star because I called about availability of safety inspections and was told it would be about 20 minute wait time, so I drove over and was quoted a 20-45 minute wait time...After waiting 45 minutes, I was called up to ask about my registration and was told the current paper I had was not acceptable(coming from Germany there is certain papers you need)..so after all that time waiting I left without an inspection. Maybe they should double check the paperwork to make sure it's all correct before wasting people's time! Come to find out, I would be failed anyhow without the paper because it doesn't have the HI registration to begin with. read more

Came here to have my tires changed and when I came for my appointment, I waited for more than an hour and 30 minutes til they told me that they needed the wheel lock key so they can take out my old tires. I wasn't sure what it looked like so I just opened my trunk where my spare tire and other tools are for the mechanic to look if it was there. He just took a quick look, didn't seem like he was actually looking for it and said I didn't have one. Then they told me to just come back when I acquire the wheel lock key. When I got home, I immediately googled what it was supposed to look like and found it where the mechanic "looked" for it. I called and told them it was there the whole time and they just told me to come back the next day. After I got my new tires from them and everything, I was cleaning my car and realized I didn't remember seeing my wheel lock key after I got my car back from them. So I called and informed them and he put me on hold for 2 minutes and just told me that they looked everywhere and can't do anything for me and I have to basically just buy myself a new one. They didn't want to take responsibility when they were the one who used it last. read more

MILITARY BEWARE!!!! This Midas is not like the others. There are unprofessional. I've gone there for the past two years getting a safety inspection. I had no work some on my truck, this time they tell me I need a recon inspection. I went to another place told them the situation they looked at my truck and laughed when I told them they said it was leveled. If you are military seek your business else where.
