Miller's Ale House -- Southwest Chicken Nachos -- "The Star Nacho" I only review nachos. Not the wings, not the beer, not the room. One plate, one standard, every time. And I walked into Miller's fully intending to bury it. Here's the bias I came in with: it's a chain. Chains have marketing departments and focus groups and menu engineers whose entire job is to build something that offends nobody, excites nobody, and keeps you coming back anyway. Chain nachos are bad. That's a pattern. That's most of the reason Florida Nacho Man exists. I sat down at the bar with both eyes already rolling. It didn't help that the place smelled off when I walked in -- raw seafood and raw beef having a cage fight somewhere near the kitchen. My nostrils were ready to file for a restraining order. I almost became Gandalf at the door. You shall not pass. Then the server mentioned they'd just retooled the nachos. I am still not entirely over what came out. Smoked chicken. Chorizo roasted-corn queso. Monterey Jack and cheddar on fresh corn tortilla chips, thin ones, the kind that usually collapse, except these stayed crispy to the very last chip. The toppings went all the way to the bottom of the plate. No bare-chip desert underneath. No dry corner where the kitchen gave up. Every chip was a full chip. And the sour cream -- for the first time in this entire series -- committed no crimes. It wasn't a cold dollop sitting on top doing nothing. It was placed like someone had thought about it. They served it on a ceramic plate that held heat like it had something to prove. (Some places could learn from that. You know who you are Tin Star lovers.) The Fork Rule was never invoked. Not once. I ate the entire thing with my hands, the way the nacho gods intended. No collapse, no scaffolding, no excavation. Structural integrity from first chip to last. 9.5 out of 10 -- The Star Nacho. The highest score I've given. From a chain I walked in ready to destroy. So to every other chain out there: Buffalo Wild Wings, I am looking directly at you. Every rare for me to give a negative review but how hard is it to serve cold beer and bring a to go container the place wasn't even filled with customers, very slow for a football Sunday... all 3 beers were room temp because I could see them just sitting at the bar pick up area with the foam already gone but what they do it top of off right before bringing it to table to make it seem like it's fresh... all 3 times same thing and the first time I asked the server who was just standing around talking to another guy in a not very crowded area "hey can you get the beer"... lucky food was good but your only as good as your service and they need to do something at this location. Was still about to leave a little more than 20% tip as I always do but ended up removing 1/4 of the tip since it took us asking our server and a second server after waiting around for more than 5 mins to get a togo container and never got one from either guy. Very disappointed in the service today. read more

I come here every Friday night with my friends. First of all, I haven't ordered anything but the Zingers for about a year. They are terrific. I recommend them in Medium or Hot. The mozzarella sticks are actually quite good, along with their shrimp appetizer. I had their captain jack's buried treasure dessert once but personally it was too rich for me, and it was split between 3 people. The service is generally good. Depending on who you get. I always recommend either the bar or the high top tables if you want good service. The managers are very nice as well and sometimes come to the table to check up on everything. It gets packed on game nights, so I recommend getting their early. Great sports bar! read more

Yuck!! Avoid at all cost! Was heading to a concert and saw this placed so stopped in and tried some apps and flat bread pizza and nothing was good or even looked good. Our 'deep fried' potstickers were steamed and then just stuck under a broiler. Only side even get broiled and they were soggy and sad messes. The spinach deep was gritty and the chips were stale. The margherita flat bread was so sad looking I just told them to take it away. The server was great but unfortunate for them the food is horrible at their restaurant. We will never return to this abomination. I just dont understand how a restaurant can serve such crappy food and still stay in business. read more

I can't count how many times I come to this restaurant. Love coming here with my boyfriend and when my co-workers and I have outings. The servers are wonderful. The one who stood out was name Melissa not only because I have the same name but she was so attentive and funny! I was having a rough day and she made me laugh. The zingers are absolutely FANTASTIC especially with bleu cheese. The mojitos...I wish my body could handle more than 2!! They are put together perfectly. A fun and great atmosphere. Sadly this place has gone downhill in a big way. The menu is the same as it has been for years and the food preparation is sub-par. My last visit I got a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and onion rings. The onion rings and my tea were fine but the Philly was bland. My friend got the rib eye and could not even eat it because of how saturated in pepper and seasonings it was. Worst service ever ! Do NOT come here on a Monday night, I came here with some friends and my food took over an hour to come and our server Taylor was horrible ! Worst service I've ever received. If you come on a Monday make sure you don't get Taylor. read more

Came in with some friends. The rib special on Mondays is really awesome! The staff is always friendly and look happy to be there, which makes me excited as well. We threw back some beers and our server was very attentive. I will be back. read more
