I live right down the street from this place so I've been coming here for years. You can't beat the liquor and beer specials. I also think their buffalo sauce is unbeatable. Otherwise, it's pretty basic bar food! Love their medium buffalo sauce. Thursdays they do prime rib as their special for a great price. We wish they would bring back the pool tables. :) read more

I love Miller's Ale House! This place is a go to for good wings and a nice cold beer, and their selection of beer is outstanding! I'm personally a big beer fan, so seeing their huge selection of beers on tap was a big turn on for me! Now I can't lie, I already knew about this place before I decided to post a review on it. I have been here numerous times, and I was turned on to it by my friend Mike. He's in love with this place, and I can't blame him. Usually, I get the same thing every time when I come here, because it's so good! The Zinger Mountain Melt. They call their boneless wings "Zingers" and you can get them in any sauce you'd like. I personally prefer the honey barbecue sauce, but that's just me. I took my grandparents here once, and usually this isn't a place for grandparents, but they loved it! My grandpa got the Ossobuco, and said it was absolutely outstanding. My grandma got the lobster special, and she loved it. She's a huge fan of lobster, so she knows what she's talking about. Recently, I decided to try their shrimp special. I believe it was called 36 shrimp, but don't quote me exactly on that. Anyways, it's a massive shrimp dish with somewhat generously sized shrimp (not jumbo shrimp, who could eat 36 of those in one sitting?) tossed in any sauce you want. I tried the Sweet Thai Chili sauce, and I was NOT disappointed! This place is great. We were seated quickly but had a long wait after we ordered our food. I paid an upcharge for onion rings and only received four (but they were good.) The ribs were tender but the sauce is very sweet. I don't like it. (ordered ribs without sauce but they made a mistake.) Other people like the sauce a lot, so I guess it's me! I eat there a lot. It's normally okay. Ever waited so long for someone to take your drink order that it makes you unhappy for the rest of the night? Well that's exactly how I felt the first time I ate at this particular location. My boyfriend and our friends have always gone to the location in Coral Springs to eat and watch the UFC fights. But 2 months ago we ended up at the Boca Raton location. I was expecting the restaurant to be packed as it always is during the UFC fights, however this night it was nearly empty. I was glad! I thought my food would get to me sooner and that my waitress/waiter would be happy to take our orders. Boy was I wrong! It took nearly 15 minutes for our drink orders to be place, and then another 10 minutes for the drinks to actually get to our table. And our waiter didn't bother to check back in with us until 20 minutes later to take our food orders. I mean, the lack of work ethic was so apparent. Not once did he come to offer refills on our drinks nor did he offer desserts afterwards. I was in complete disbelief with the entire ordeal. I didn't even enjoy watching the fight like I normally do when I'm with good company. The total experience was aggravating... Then a few weeks ago we go back to the same Boca Raton location in hopes of better service and clearly that's just the way they operate. Never again will you see us at that location. We will strictly go to the Coral Springs location. Even when they're fully packed we still get great service there! read more

We frequently dine at this location, which can be a hit or miss. We have eaten during lunch time and received food that could have passed for a frozen dinner and then other times was outstanding. Really feel it all comes down to who is cooking in the kitchen. Wait staff for the most part is always friendly. Worst experience we ever had here was during lunch we found a piece of metal from the brush they use to clean the grill in our chicken sandwich. As far as your typical "sport's bars" are concerned, this one hits a bit above average. I must be honest, I'm simple when it comes to eating out. Simple burgers, french fries, and zingers meet my standards just fine. The zingers are essentially chicken fingers that can manifest themselves in different forms. You can get regular zingers, bbq zingers, or even honey mustard zingers (which come highly recommended). You can always come in and catch a game on one of their TV's or just check out the myriads of decorations on the walls. It's simple and sexy. read more

I ate at the Boca Ale House last week. I wasn't really impressed. I know it's a sports bar but it just felt really old and not very clean. The food did come fast but it was just ok. I would much rather go to Duffy's. I had a burger and it was kind of dry. The waiter was nice but I doubt I will go back there. read more

This was one of the worst places I've gone to. The place looks nice but the food was not good at all! I had the mahi mahi and it had no flavor and when I got it, it was cold. Painfully slow service, super greasy food, won't be back. Went there a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon. Server "A___a" took about 10+ minutes to get to our table for a drink order, and it was not slammed busy. When she finally arrived I asked if they had brewed ice tea....and she didn't know. Looked like a deer caught in the headlights and mumbled that she'd have to ask the bartender. I mean, you either know or you don't know that as a server. I used to be a waitress years ago, and trust me, nobody would be allowed out onto the floor if they didn't even know something as basic as that. Ordered our food, but then that took about 25+ minutes to finally arrive. So by the time we were finally eating it was at least 40 minutes after arriving, for only two people, when it wasn't busy. The food itself seemed to have been sitting under a heat lamp probably for half that wait time based on how hot the plates were and the textures of the food, so who knows where our clueless newbie server even was while our food sat...and sat...and sat....not being delivered to the table. Where was management to make sure the food was being run? Where were any of the other servers jumping in to help? Meanwhile my boyfriend's fish and chips were soaked in grease. I actually thought he'd poured vinegar on them, that's how much light brown liquid surrounded them on the plate, but uh, no, that was grease. He picked up a piece and held it up over the plate and it was dripping. He ended up having to remove half the fried coating in order to be able to eat it, because it was making him queasy. The fried coating is the whole point of fish and chips, so to have to remove it in order to make it edible is pretty bad. The clueless newb server never even bothered to check on us once while we ate, just dropped the food and disappeared. Sorry, that's not what waitressing is. Yet nowadays this is unfortunately the experience in so many restaurants....but of course they expect tips. For doing pretty much nothing. :/ After we were done eating we waited, and waited, and waited for the check, with dirty dishes on our table. She finally quickly darted up to us and dropped the check on the table and bolted before even waiting to see if I had my card or cash ready. So we had to wait about another 5+ minutes for her to finally come back around and collect the credit card and complete the transactions. I will say that my hamburger and sweet potato fries were very tasty though. But it wasn't enough to make us ever go back. Terrible service, too much grease on the other food. So, wouldn't recommend, won't be back. I regret that I left a tip, and again, that's coming from a former server. UPDATE: I see that management responded with "This definitely doesn't sound like a typical trip to our House....." Oh, but it is apparently, according to all the 1 and 2 star reviews citing issues with the food and terrible and/or inexperienced servers. Time to up your game and start doing better. read more

Jason was my server. He was poor and the food was not the best. This place used to be to go to.. it's not anymore. Most likely will never show my face here again. Our waiter told us he would bring us back food that we sent back because they got the order wrong. He never brought it back. He acknowledged it and never came back. Had to contact the manager. That's where the one star comes in. The manager brought us the food (a hefty wait time later). The waiter gave my friends and my ID a look as if he was a CIA agent... literally didn't feel like ordering but because this was the go to we stook it out. This place is filled with senile people. Great place to go to with my family. Big booths so there is plenty of space. The service is usually really good, I haven't had a bad experience yet. The food is great and their fries are always so good. Some of the pasta dishes aren't that good though so I would suggest getting something else if you love pasta. The deserts are great and I wish i could get them all the time. the parking is a little difficult even when it's not too busy so when it is busy parking is a nightmare. read more

I'm always a fan of Miller's Ale Houses, where ever they are. However, the West Boca one is the best one I've been to. The consistantly great food is the kicker. The wings, sweet potato fries, french dip and of course zingers are the best I've had anywhere. The drinks at all of the alehouses are always good, and the prices are always amazing. West Boca shines with a great staff, but by far the best bartender that I've ever been served by is Melissa Albrecht. She is always smiling, and running and hustling, and knows how to make any drink (even ones not on the menu), and always makes sure your food is perfectly ordered, prepared and presented. My favorite server is Flip Wilson, no not the comic, even though this guy is hilarious as well. Very attentive and just a great person. West Boca Alehouse reminds me a bit of the bar in Cheers where every one knows your name. Sitting at the tables, or high tops or bar are all equally comfortable. You definitely should check out the specials as well, they have different daily specials for lunch & dinner, my personal favorites are both on Thursday: meat loaf for lunch and prime rib for dinner, however the crowd favorite seems to be Wednesday night lobster. It's also (obviously) a great place to watch any sport. read more

If you're going to offer to-go service, then you should give it the same amount of attention as you give to dine-in customers. I've ordered to-go from here before and it's been good, but the past 2 or 3 have not been acceptable. Little mistakes like a forgotten sauce, to this most recent time where the whole order was messed up. First, I called and they said 10 minutes. As I live 10 minutes away I immediately left my house to go there, then proceeded to wait another 30. I saw my husband's burger come out and sit on the counter for 15 while waiting for the rest of the food. And they out broccoli with it when we had ordered fries. Fries were undercooked too. And the burger was missing the bacon. My daughter's chicken tenders and fries were cold. My steak sandwich was chewy, but at least the onion rings were crispy. Oh and the wings? Yeah... No bueno. 2 drops of blue cheese in the cup for 10 wings. read more

The service here is lovely. And the atmosphere is about what you would expect in a sports bar, lots of tvs and people with families sitting around eating burgers and watching the game. I would say that it was just not my scene. Too many televisions, too much noise, and the food sucked. I mean, I just got a burger, my sweet potato fries were sweet like candy, not to mention they were tepid bordering on cold and kind of oily and limp. The burger was meh. I'd probably have gotten a better burger at TGIFridays. I also expected some interesting and good microbrews on draught. Nothing interesting or new there. We also ordered spinach dip which seems like they defrosted something from Trader Joes and then used tortilla chips (from Trader Joes) for dipping. The food sucked. Seriously sucked. Atmosphere and service was fine. The servers and bartenders were very nice. Also the margarita I got was good. I won't go back though, never. read more

We visit this location quite frequently. We have never had a problem until last night. My friends and I who are servers and managers that work at a local restaurant had the worst experience we have ever had at a restaurant. The server from the beginning looked unhappy to be at her job and had an attitude with me specifically. This location doesn't close until 2am. We were there for about 2 hours drinking and having a good time. This server took forever to come and take some of the rest of the orders that had showed up. Then around 1:25.. it may have been a little earlier, she said "last call". As a server when everyone is drinking and no one is really eating a lot of there food, "last call" means drinks. She didn't specify what she was talking about. So I chased her to the kitchen not even 2 minutes later to ask if she could grab us a Captain Jacks. But she told us no way, I already said last call.... mind this is 30 minutes before the restaurant closes and there are still people in the restaurant. She gave me plenty of attitude with someone that asks in the group and me who had asked as well. A Captain Jacks is an ice cream cake. It's not like I was asking them to make me something on the grill or something that takes time in the kitchen. To me anything to make my guests happy is what I'm going to be doing. So then I was very irritated the way she had told us everything and told us there was no way we were getting any dessert. I then called for the manager to explain what was going on and say how rudely we were being treated and he said he would get the Captain jacks right away. It took him less than 2 minutes to grab it. At the end as we are leaving the server hands someone at the table all of our checks and said you can handle this. So then we are figuring everything out and tipping and every worker that was working that night was standing in the bar staring at us. They were talking about us, as guests were sitting at the bar. We then asked for the managers name because everything going on was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The managers name on duty was Greg. He allowed his servers and bartenders to basically argue and talk back to my group of friends as he sat there and kinda laughed about the situation. He then proceeded to walk with us until we were out the door and continue to go on and argue. WE WILL NOT BE VISITING THIS LOCATION EVER AGIAN. And this also isn't the first problem I've had with this exact manager!!!!!!!! read more

Basically a quieter Flanniganns, with bad food. Mashed potatoes were cold, sent them back, new ones were still cold. Chicken Tenders were ok, French fries were also cold. Burger and fries were cold. Fish tasted like it was going bad, couldn't even eat it (and to clarify, we are not very picky people) Salad was mediocre. Service was very slow. Only good thing here was the water. I've had overall good experiences every time I've come to this location. The food is good and the fact that they play almost every sporting event and have a large selection of TVs is an added plus. I recently came to watch the UFC fights here, and although it was completely packed, the waitress was very attentive. Food wise, anything that includes their famous "zingers", is delicious. I was not a fan of their black bean burger or fish tacos, however their salads are pretty good. staff greeting us with smiles..great start..Kitty was our waitress..yes she called us sweetie a number of times.but it brought a smile to my face..all of our 8 people loved the food they ordered and my petite filet was the best I ever had anywhere..Kitty was efficient ,fast and friendly and was there enough times to make us feel taken care of.I am going there this Thursday and taking friends for the prime rib special. For anyone who is disappointed in the friendliness of staff...It might be nice to smile and say something nice to them first..I always have friendly waiters because I am friendly. Won't be going back due to incredibly rude hostess. Waited 10 minutes for a table when there were quite a few available. She seated a party of 8 as soon as they walked in the door, they did not have reservations and 4 of them weren't even there yet. When I asked why she had us waiting she said I'm not going to give you a big table. I said we didn't want the big table, but what about all the other tables? She replied they got a big table. When I went for the door she said I'll seat you now in a booth. Not going to stick around to be ignored and then spoken to so rudely. We went to Pizza place instead - service and food was great there! I recommend Steve's Pizza, Mr Shen's, Sushi place or Wendy's if you need to eat in the strip mall. read more
