I have been coming to Millions for years! I have seen many changes through that time. I know many of us have some crazy fun memories coming here late at night. It was a huge bummer when Millions changed their hours to no long be open super late. However, I have noticed they are slowly staying open later and later. One of my favorite Korean restaurants! They're open late, they're nice to non-Koreans (if you have been to other Korean restaurants, you should know what I mean), and the food is good. Likes: I said some above. They also give a lot of banchan (sides) and they refill them if you ask. The food is good in general and the service is usually good too. Dislikes: It has gotten pricier since I've been going here (I'd say about $15-25 a person depending on what you get). As long as the sides keep rolling in, I'll keep coming back though. Parking can be tight at peak dinner time too. But I like going here at off times anyway when everything else is closed. Million's deserve an award for the best side dishes ever! It varies everytime you go, but whatever it is, it's always delicious! You can never go wrong with their sauces as well. This place used to my favorite go to Korean spots for yakiniku but until recently their prices has gone up enormously and portions also cut down by a lot. Top 6 specific dishes we only order at Millions: 1) yakiniku sets 2) Cow tongue 3) outside skirt 4) soondobu 5) buckwheat noodle served with cucumber (chilled broth) 6) seafood pancake It's never disappointing if you stick with these 6 dishes. Although, their prices went up, their portions also went down. For a party of 3 or 4 we normally just order one set and a side, but now we end up ordering two sets. Other than that, their quality of the meats are very fresh and it's not chewy like some other places. Service: friendly and sweet. don't worry, their employees speak English and they're able to understand you! They're very prompt on refilling your water and side dishes! Parking: street parking is available if the stalls in back of the restaurant is full. Usually it's full and street parking is free after 6pm! One last thing, expect to smell like yakiniku for the rest of the night. The smell of grease and yakiniku will bug you after you leave the restaurant. So sad I didn't discover this place sooner! The ban-chan here is awesome. It could've made my meal but alas I was dying to order the soondoobu. And I wasn't disappointed! Tofu was perfectly soft, vegetables were cooked well, meat was tasty and the soup was so delicious and spicy. The price ($10) made it all the better! Service was great and they were always sure to refill our waters and check up on us. Not to mention we barely had to wait for our food to come. I am definitely going to be coming back because everything on their menu is just asking to be tried. Quick tip though, for you future first timers parking is located in back of the restaurant which is on the other side of the whole building so if you're passing the store front you need to go down a side street to get to the back. Millions is a very well known korean bbq joint with a good reputation. Maybe things have changed over recent years, and I remember coming here back when I was in high school with no complaints. I would now much rather spend my money elsewhere. Like next door. The quality of food is decent and prices are comparable to other korean bbq places. The ban chan selection is good (cucumber and cabbage kimchee, bean sprouts, seaweed, onion, egg, potato salad, lettuce, pancake and salad). The meals also come with seaweed soup, rice and sweet ginger soup for dessert. Although this seems normal and expected, I've never had to pay $5 for extra lettuce or salad. Nor have I ever not been given refills on banchan. I love banchan just about as much as I love bbq meat. I was appalled that halfway though our meal, the waitress came to take away all our banchan dishes instead of refilling them. I guess if our party had all sat separately, on different tables, we could have each had our own set of banchan like a customer sitting by himself had. Smh. The service here is also not that great. We only were checked on once I addition to when our banchan dishes were cleared. The whole experience can be improved a lot. As soon as you walk in, there are countless posters about where not to park because YOU WILL GET TOWED. Awesome, even though I know I parked in a stall marked million, I now second guess myself and worry about my car through the entire meal. When we ordered, the waiter asked us to turn on the fan/vent above the grill. It's disgusting. The switch is sticky and covered in grease. The table was also a little sticky, with remnants of the last meal still stuck to the table. Really? Clean up a little bit so I don't have to think about disinfecting my fingers after I touch anything in your restaurant. Save yourself the sticky fingers and eat your fill in banchans somewhere else. Craving Korean food? Like yakiniku style? This is the place for you! I have dined at Millions for over six years and have never been disappointed. On my most recent visit, I had the Bi Bim Bap and Soon Du Bu. Both were delicous. I like the variety of vegetable side dishes that they give. It seems to be a little different from other Korean restaurants, such as the egg custard. One thing I personally don't care for is that the tables seem to be bunched close together, especially in the back room. Hands down, Millions is my favorite go to Yakiniku. I know there's Sikdorak, 678, and so many more places, but Millions is my go to. Yeah, the decor is outdated, the parking can be hard at times, and there is a language barrier. But I don't care! They have a special place on my plate. The Yakiniku sets are the best! Option B! I can easily split the set amongst 3-4. The meat is always fresh and tender. That beef tongue. Mmmmm. Kimchee pancake is also jaw dropping. Literally. It's the size of a medium pizza! I love the edge pieces, so crispy and good. The ban chan also never disappoints! Yes, it isn't as diverse or as plentiful as 678, but it is a lot better than other joints around town. The potato salad and steamed egg are so good. Also, I think Millions kimchee is my favorite (in terms of eating kimchee in a restaurant). It's never too sour or salty. Located in town, millions is a great choice if you're looking for some great yakiniku at a reasonable price. Walking inside the restaurant you first notice the hanging vacuums that are unique to the restaurant. These vacuums help to minimize the smoke that can get stuck in your clothes. Very cool! Once seated, you are given six to seven different sides that differ every day. The first time I went Million we had Taegu and crab side dishes. The next time we had totally different sides. It's nice to have different side dishes every time you go there. You have the choice of ordering the food precooked or raw. When we come here we always order the food raw so we can have a little fun with the stove. The food selection here is great. You are able to order food sets that range from chicken and beef to seafood that can easily feed three to four people. The sets cost $45, which are not bad considering the amounts of sides and meat you get. We highly recommend this place if you're itching to cook food and have a good time. We ordered Set B, which I noticed went up in price since the last time I ate here. But we substituted kal-bi for the bulgogi. I'm not much of a bulgogi fan, and neither is the husband. There's also pork belly, beef skirt (or was it brisket?), and beef tongue. We also ordered a meat jun for the daughter, since she insists they have the best meat jun. And she's eaten a lot of meat jun from all over. Hite beer and canned ice tea were our drinks. I prefer Hite to OB, because OB makes me think of tampons. We didn't have to wait long for our food, which was good, because I was starving! The cuts of meat are generous and the food always tastes great. Just have to see which side dish things we get. Sometimes there are one or two that I don't really care for, but all the others make up for it. And the server who used to always rush us out, has relaxed a bit and doesn't push us out. A bit of a warning, there was a party of 7 or 8 and they had reservations, but there wasn't any room for them. They even tried to fit at our table, which is made for 4, but the hostess told them no, they would have to wait with everyone else for a table to open up. I didn't like this place the first time I went. It was presented to me as a cheaper and better place than Sorabol that time. It was not. I only came here the second time because I had gone to Walmart in the morning and just came from paying the Blue Cross bill for Sphinx and his feline spa day. So, I was strapped for cash and Dar was hungry. When we got there, we got seated pretty quickly and the kim chi came out just as. I remembered the crab from last time and started to give it a go. Ouch! Would you give a baby a straw with thorns on it? I guess you would if you worked at Millions. My poor lip got pierced by one of the five tiny spines on the leg of the crab. I threw it down and said, "Damn, that hurt". I moved on to the other kim chi plates. A couple minutes into it, I began to feel part of my lip rub against my teeth. I get worried about these kinds of things because I have a nasty overbite that causes me to bite my lip quite often. My lip began to swell as the seconds went by. I could only think about the time I had an allergic reaction to some Dungeoness crab where I lay on the floor with an uncontrollable waterfall coming out of my topside orifice. It swelled up so much that I began to feel much like Rocky. I turned to Darcie and in my best Sylvester Stallone imitation, said, "AAAAdriennnnnne"! I posted a picture in my profile and in the Business Photos so y'all can have a look. See how noticeably swollen the left is from the right. The best "mom and pops" restaurant to go for Korean BBQ. I usually come here for late dinner and order the barbecue combo sets (A, B or C). Each combo set has a variety of selected meats. I usually select "A" because it also has whole shrimp. The dipping sauces are very tasty and they give a fair amount of side dishes to go along with your meal. The soft tofu soup is total winner especially when you're not feeling well.The wait staff are very nice and very attentive when it comes to checking on you. If you saw my quick tip, I was not lying when I said that I had not eaten at Million until two weeks ago when i decided to grab lunch there. Similar to Cory M., I also work on the same block as Millions. I've heard so much about the food here that it was the perfect afternoon to try it. I ordered a take out meat jun and bbq meat. The plate, which did run me in the range of $10 (kinda expensive), did not disappoint in amount of food and taste. Having no memory of the OLD Million, I guess it was a amateur/naive move, but ignorance is bliss I guess. Both the meat jun and the bbq meat were so soft. The taste was also on point, as the flavor just hit with every bite. I did make a mistake in ordering the two entrees that I did as the meat jun was essentially bbq meat in egg, but oh well...I also enjoyed the sides that they gave (isn't that what makes a korean plate?). I LOVE how they give teagu...you know the true korean food places give teagu. Overall experience of that lunch, 4 stars! Million is reasonably priced, and they have side dishes that can be switched out for other side dishes that you'd better prefer at no cost. Though it doesn't have as many side dishes as other yakiniku places I've been to, they are all still really good! The service isn't particularly friendly, but they are really good. They keep coming back to refill your drink as soon as you get low, and are very attentive to you. Personally, I really like the meat jun here. It tastes better than most meat jun that I've had. I also like the beef stone hot pot. It comes to the table sizzling! My boyfriend and I got the beef stone hot pot, and the meat jun/kalbi plate to share with each other. We still had leftovers and we're not light eaters, so they gave a pretty good amount of food. The inside isn't particularly pretty or huge, but it's comfy, and clean. Love Million! Have been coming to this restaurant for over five years! It's been always great as a after club restaurant. Prices are still reasonable (even though the gradual increase in prices over the years). Staff is always warm & friendly. Side dishes are always tasty! One option to avoid wasting food, pick out which side you want once to deliver it to your table & give back the sides you don't want. You could swap it for another side or just give it back. (it's free side dishes) portions are always big (especially the soup) and you can share it for two people. When ordering Yakiniku, always look at the four options (a/b/c/d). The options are a set group & you could always swap out one & replace for another type of meat for for $3 more. It's a lot cheaper than ordering side dishes. Parking is a hassle. There is meter parking in front of restaurant (free in the evening). Parking is also available in the back. It's assign parking for restaurant & apartment tenants. The stone pot, kal bi, bi bim bop is the best i've had. Throw in some of the fanciest banchan I have seen (raw spicy kona crab for example) and this is a spot on dinner destination. This is your typical korean place with a menu ranging from tofu soup to meat jun plates to cook it yourself yakiniku. The yakiniku can get a bit expensive here and I havent had enough of it to review it, but I will say the tofu soup and bi bim bap are perhaps my favorite on island with a great mix of veggies, meat, sauce, and that awesome slightly crunchy rice that sticks to the pot! Lunch has a lower grade of ban chan but 2 bucks off all their plates which makes it quite affordable for the quantity of food. They keep the place clean, with a combination of large booths that could easily seat 10 down to cosy 4 person get to know your neighbor type seating. Their kim chee seafood pancake is delicious, has that nice crisp without being too oily. I was a little disappointed in their meat jun. I think I read the reviews and hyped up that egg wrapped deliciousness to be extraterrestrial. My verdict: It is above average but nothing to rave about. Long time customer but first time I thought about giving an overdue review. Food is always good! This used to be our "Yakiniku Go To" spot when friends visited from Japan. Now, my wife and I enjoy it for their Kim Chee Chige (Stew), almost weekly. I suggest the Beef Brisket Kim Chee Chige, it has a decent serving of beef in the stew. Million Restaurant is located behind the Keeamoku Walmart, and there is a small parking lot. I only posted a four-star because I didn't get a chance to eat in. My takeout order was wrapped with care and the service was five-star. Sorry no pics too hungry. Their fish jun was delicious and a very good alternative to katsu which is breaded and fried. Seafood pancake was also delicious. I am grateful for a very patient and hospitable staff especially since I chose their busy lunch time to place such a large order. My favorite place for takeout now. read more

Set C! All meat!!! Side dishes are bomb and they bring a wide assortment. Sometimes they even give kim chee crab as side dish oooooh! All meats are ono. I especially like the kalbi and bulgogi, but nonetheless all meats are delicious. Their stone pot bibimbap is good too. Meat jun is amazing, its crispy and not greasy. I can't stand greasy meat jun and really dislike it when the batter/egg is soft, falling off the meat and mushy. The meat jun here passes my test with flying colors! Whatever that rice and ginger tea is called that they serve at the end of your meal is one of a kind! Its a refreshing/light drink and makes you feel like a million bucks after grinding all the ono food! Do not shower before you go here because like at any yakiniku place you are gonna reeek when u leave! read more

A Million stars! Spicy short rib soup is always my FAVORITE. I LOVE that they always serve Korean appetizers (Kimchi, pickled veggies, egg custard) before I get too upset/irritable from being extremely hungry. I've tried the Bibimbap and other meats, but always end up with the spicy short rib soup if I had to choose only one dish. Service is fast, servers are friendly, food is HOT. They always give that cold ginger water/soup thing at the end, which was at first weird, but I'm starting to like it. Might ask for a bigger cup of that next time jeje :) read more

Millions restaurant isn't like how it used to be when I used to come here as a child. It's been YEARS since I've come here and a lot has changed since then. They now charge $5 for more lettuce? but the side dishes are free upon request. Parking: this location is located on Sheridan st. behind Walmart on Keamouku. You have to park in the back of Millions restaurant. but make sure you read the signs, it says you have to park where it says Lenders. Service: the service was okay. they occasionally checked up on us but did not refill our waters. they didn't even come by enough for us to ask to refill our sides (kimchee, long rice, etc.) I give the service three stars out of five. Drinks: we ordered the Asahi Pitcher for $14. it was alright. honestly the restaurant is way too hot to enjoy beer because you're just constantly sweating. not sure if the AC was broken or its just always hot there. the beer went warm fast and our water cups were pretty much empty 3/4 of the time we were there. Food: $60 for each set of food. each set of food is different and honestly it's good enough for two people. we ordered two sets -- we had seven people, but only six people ate. five were adults and one child and yet it was barely enough food. they used to give us waaay more in the sets but this time I feel like we got skimped. we ordered set one: which had kalbi, beef outside skirt, brisket and shrimp. as well as set two: bulgogi beef, beef outside skirts, beef tongue, brisket & pork belly. each set came with onion and one lemon. each set of rice got a soup that came with it. the seaweed soup was pretty bland compared to how I remembered it couple years ago. Overall Experience: Millions used to be such a good restaurant, but over time the place got run down and it's not as great anymore. they raised the prices on everything, the food isn't as flavorful and the restaurant is so hot and uncomfortable to eat in. I think I'm just really over millions, even Gyukaku is better... unfortunate that my parents can only think of this place as the only yakiniku place to go to. read more

I love coming here for lunch because they have good lunch specials. My go to would be the Kalbi and Chicken plate. It comes with all the banchan, seaweed soup and a good serving of each. When I'm not starving, I usually have enough leftover for a second meal. You can park on the street or in their lot behind on Makaloa. read more
