At the suggestion of Reddit, I came here with my boyfriend and friend during our Waikiki trip and we loved it! We ordered spicy cold noodles, brisket, and japchae. The meat here is excellent quality and very well marbled, and the banchan sides are to die for. We had to top up on ours a couple times! Japchae is a bit on the oily side, but that's to be expected. I found the mul naengmyun to be delicious and icy cold, it really hit the spot after a heated day of hiking and beach going on the island. Three items was honestly more than enough for three people, but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and everything here smelled amazing. The seasoning and brisket dipping sauce were so authentic, the noodle broth had that wonderful fragrant gochugaru scent. Parking situation is a bit weird! The lot was full and they suggest you to visit an alternate location that's a five minute walk away, but the lot is pay to park. We decided to street park since it was free during the time period we visited for dinner! This could be a bit of a deterrent if you're someone who wants a frictionless experience dining or if you're in a time crunch, but this was no object to me in the pursuit of an authentic Korean meal. Service was also quick, I am absolutely in love with this spot!

    tteok guk

Since Sorabol closed, we had to find another place for our New Year's Day tteok guk (Korean rice cake soup). Fairly close to our new home, the Yakiniku Korea House menu lists tteok mandu guk, which is the same soup with mandu added. We invited a friend, and the three of us arrived in time for an early lunch. My wife asked the server in Korean if they had tteok guk, and she replied without hesitation that they did. In addition to the guk, I ordered galbi jjim (a Korean braised short-rib dish). After they brought the banchan, it wasn't long before three big bowls of tteok guk arrived. We all enjoyed it, but my wife was especially impressed with its taste. A while later, the galbi jjim was served, still boiling in its pot. I eagerly tasted it. It was a bit on the sweet side, but tasted quite savory, and the meat was almost fall-off-the-bone tender. This was an especially enjoyable, filling lunch. The place was clean and the service good.

I went here today for lunch and ordered their lunch specials. They have options where meats already cooked or you can cook it yourself on the grill. We ordered combo lunch special that comes with bulgogi, bbq chicken, and Kalbi. We also ordered their meat chun, grilled yellow corvina, tofu soondubu, and their Korean purple rice with beans and pumpkin. Everything was delish and it was a lot of food!

The meat quality here is really solid. We got the combo for two, and it was the perfect amount. Usually at other places the portions feel small, but here it was just right. The brisket was tender and flavorful, and the marinades on all the meats were perfectly balanced. You can tell they really care about their cuts and seasoning. The only area that could use some improvement is the banchan and service. The side dishes were average, and getting a server's attention was a bit of a challenge. Still, the food itself definitely makes this spot worth coming back to. If you're here for the meat, you'll leave happy.

My partner has been wanting to try this spot out for a while, he said has visited for their yakiniku a long time ago but haven't gone back since. We finally got the chance to try it out so we made our way here before their dinner rush. They have a pretty large parking lot just to themselves but it does fill up pretty quickly when it gets to dinner time. Upon arrival we were seated quickly and given menus. After we ordered the LARGE variety of banchan's arrived at the table, I was literally marveling at it when the waitress wheeled it all out. We ordered: - Hot stone bibimbap: 8/10 My partner really wanted to try this and it was very fun to eat and flavorful. It also came with seaweed soup which I happily gulped up. - Seafood Pancake: 10/10 probably the best seafood pancake I've had. Perfectly crispy and packed with ingredients (so not doughy at all). - Meat Jun: 9/10 Solid meat jun. It came with rice as well. It didn't come with the typical meat jun sauce so it wasn't hitting as much as it could've. The portion was also on the smaller side especially compared to the seafood pancake or other spots I've been to. Overall, I would really recommend this spot. I'm not sure how worth it is their yakiniku as we didn't get any but plenty of people were grilling up meats. The yakiniku seems to be a bit on the pricier side so order at your own discretion. I would definitely recommend their seafood pancake and I would love to come back again to try other dishes and experience banchan heaven again.

Good quality food served here with very friendly staff. We had a meal set which included a stone pot rice with many treasures, bulgogi and tofu soup, along with some individual orders of meat jun and stone pot bi bim bap. We did not have yakiniku, but that looked popular many of the other tables. There is a smoke sucker at each table to remove the grease and cooked food smell. Parking is available in their lot, but was quite full the evening we were there.

This is one of my favorite KBBQ on the island! Mostly locals eat here and the meat quality are better than majority of the KBBQ restaurants in the area. Best kimchi as well and spicy! The grill hot plates always fresh since they're being replaced several times for the duration of our time ate there. I love the short ribs. The place was snug and cozy, service was efficient hence little bit slow. I would recommend.

Food is standard restaurant quality Korean fare but when there is left over dish detergent in the tea cups and soup bowls - yuck- therefore 3 stars my pet peeve is when dishes are not properly rinsed or when restaurants smell like pine sol or when tortillas are wrapped in suaveltel scent towels -

This places deserves more stars. Food is delicious and relatively affordable for how much you get. Our entire meal was about $150 for 5 people. Super reasonable. Food: SO GOOD! My favorite is their seafood pancake. I love seafood pancake and have had it at many restaurants, but theirs is the best. It's tasty, crispy, chewy and packed with green onions and other things. Get their marinated kalbi... thst was really Yummy too though a little chewy. Bibimbap was solid. The only thing I wouldn't get again is the kimchee stew. It was too salty. Instead, I suggest ordering their seaweed soup. It's AMAZING! Best seaweed soup I've ever had. So flavorful. Service: decent, not amazing. Our serve was good but sometimes forgot about us/didn't check on us enough. Though he didn't offer to bring my toddler a small seaweed soup, which was super nice. There are a ton of tables here and they even have a back area. The restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks from the street.

Food was great, service was fantastic! We ended up meeting friends that were already there so they ordered a bunch of food for us ahead of time. The whole set up was waiting for us when we arrived.

Still absolutely love this place! One of the best spots with reasonable prices. I came here for a friend's birthday, and they were able to accommodate our big party since we reserved in advance. We ordered the skirt steak, beef tongue, and brisket--everything was delicious! The meal comes with a variety of side dishes, salad, and rice, and the best part? You can always ask for refills. We also got the seafood and kimchi pancake, which was amazing! Service was excellent--super attentive and always making sure our water glasses were full. Overall, a fantastic spot to enjoy great food and a fun time with friends. Highly recommended!

This is our favorite Korean food spot!! We tell all our friends and family about this place too. Service is always fast and the food fresh and delicious. No matter how busy they are (they get busy) the wait is never more than a 20 min. Wait. The only thing I can think of that needs improvement is parking. Parking is very tight especially if you have a bigger vehicle.

Best Korean bbq on the island. Idk why it has such low ratings... They give you a variety of banchan and have an extensive menu of traditional Korean food. I always order the outside skirt meat and marinated kalbi. If you order 2 meats, you get a free soup and I always opt for the soft tofu soup. I always get their hot stone bibimbap and seafood pancake as well. This is the only kbbq I go to!

But we were so disappointed with the quality of the food we couldn't even finish everything. So I got 2 lunch orders: rice with char siu and roast pork, and rice with roast duck and chicken. I also ordered half pound of beef trip to try. So this way we got to sample everything. At the end the only thing we enjoyed was the roast pork. The skin was crispy and meat had good flavor. The duck had too much fat. There was not much meat left after getting rid of the bones and the fat. The chicken was quite mushy. The texture just was not right probably because it wasn't too fresh? The char siu was probably one of the worst I have even had. It had so much tendon that there was not a single piece that we could even chew through it. And the beef tripe was soooooo salty. It was just very disappointing. It was relatively cheap though compared to other restaurants and they gave us a very big portion but I don't think I will go back given that there are places that sell better roast duck and char siu.

GET THE CORN BREAD!…read more Okay, now that the most important information is there...we loved this spot! The brisket plate was perfect for two meals. It falls apart as you're eating it in all the best ways. I regret not ordering it by the pound. The potato salad was a bit too mustardy for me but the cream corn was 10/10 I should've asked for it in a cup. My favorite part was the corn bread. I'm used to corn bread being dry and not my choice of a bbq side but I took a chance thanks to the employee hyping up all my food choices and tried it. The texture was more of a bread budding and was unbelievably delicious. I regret only getting one piece and not another one for the following day. I guess what I'm trying to say is, swing on by, order a little bit of everything and you'll leave a few pounds heavier and very happy.
