Mostly eaten Corned beef hash. Very good.

First off... was it exceptional in any particular way? Not really. The Decor is dated. The Service was friendly and professional, but nothing exceptional. The food was enjoyable, Tasty. We had no complaints. We also were not wowed by anything. If you need a solid breakfast/brunch/lunch location, you cannot go wrong with Mimis. It may not be the newest or trendiest spot, but its consistent, good, very reliable.

One thing I forgot to mention in my original review: the French Toast Monte Cristo is no longer on the menu, but when my husband asked about it, Tawny went above and beyond and checked with the kitchen. The chef remembered how to make it and was happy to prepare it for him. That extra effort and willingness to accommodate a guest really stood out. Thank you to Tawny, the chef, and the entire team for making our visit so enjoyable!

I have lived and shopped in the same area as this restaurant for many years but never stopped in. After having breakfast here recently I am wondering why I never stopped in. The breakfast here was AMAZING! The hash actually had chunks of meat in it instead of just being straight up mashed meat. The croissant was warm and buttery. Didn't even need the butter it came with. The potatoes were cooked to perfection and the eggs were spot on to my requested preparation style. The restaurant interior was nice and quiet (we were the only ones there on a Sunday morning that early). The decor is beautiful! Our waitstaff was on top of it and very polite. We didn't have to wait for anything!!! We will certainly be back

Service was amazing, we loved our server Fernando. The food portions were big, delicious and felt very homey. Loved the bread pudding as always and tried the brownies for the first time and they were delicious

Late-morning brunch at Mimi's Cafe was exactly what we needed. This casual spot blends French and American favorites in a rustic, welcoming setting, always clean with friendly service and comforting food. After a late night, we rolled in around noon for breakfast and I ordered the Bacon, Ham & Sausage Omelet: packed with hickory-smoked bacon, ham, pork sausage, andouille sausage, tomato, and melted cheddar cheese, served with roasted potatoes and a bran muffin. Hearty, flavorful, and the perfect brunch pick-me-up!

Not usually a fan of chains. Service was top notch (great job Alma!). Great coffee and omelette. I was very surprised and impressed.

I've driven by this place so many times and finally decided to stop in on a Saturday afternoon. The decor is very cute and gives fall vibes, which I loved. We typically don't do appetizers anymore but decided to give the wings a shot since we didn't expect to see them on the menu. They were cooked to perfection and the sauce wasn't super spicy so I was able to enjoy a couple as well. My partner had the turkey club, he loved it paired with the fries & honey mustard sauce. I had the sandwich trio with the Tuna melt and caesar salad. The sandwich was more than I expected, the toast itself was cooked with parmesan cheese and that added to the melty warmth of the tuna. Exceptional, It was so good I didn't have any left to take home! They're doing holiday dinner pre orders and I'm thinking of ordering the ham dinner.

I've already been to their quiche and pies bakery a few times now - I'm over 30 minutes away, but just try to find excuses to get there! Anyway, the wife and I were looking around for a different steak experience - something a step up for a special evening. Obviously, Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Chandler have some swanky places - dress up and all. But figured if Quiches and Pies is great, Cuisine and Wine can't be worse, and it didn't disappoint. The dining room is a cross between casual and formal - you can dress up, or you can be casual. Excellent wine selection and viewable as you walk in. Friendly, unassuming but professional service. You don't feel like you have to pronounce everything with a French accent. I had a French Pinot, and the wife a glass of white (forgot the name.) Appetizer de jour: stracciatella. The cheese is called cheese described is burrata (I researched it) and its the outer casing fresh mozzarella with a creamy cottage cheese like consistency. Very mild. Served with bruschetta and prosciutto. Main course: Wife - Filet mignon wellington - absolutely excellent. The filet was tender and juicy. The pastry - light and flaky and delicious! Serviced with Gratin potatoes. Excellent. I had duck with a cherry sauce. Served with very thinly sliced fried potatoes. Excellent - my only critique, duck was just a little tough. Desert: I had Pain pardu - bread pudding with carnalized apples. Light, soft, not too rich. Wife had a chocolate lava cake - like eating a chocolate mousse truffle. Excellent. Nice change of pace. Looking forward to going back maybe around Christmas to try something else on the menu. Its not cheap. Was it worth the price? Yes - nice atmosphere, excellent food, great wine selection. Nice place for a special occasion.

The ambiance of the place overall is so nice. It's located inside Global Ambassador Hotel. It offers indoor and outdoor seating. No misters outside so plan on that. They also validate parking, as well as having valet out front. Before I talk about how yummy the food is, I want to give a huge shout out to Shamitt, I believe it was the manager of the evening. He checked on tables to make sure everyone was satisfied. Even when our table had a minor hiccup, he made sure to turn the whole evening around and top it off (which wasn't needed but that's how they are, always going above and beyond). Every waitress or waiter I've had is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Just this alone makes me want to come back every time. Now about the food. Words don't do it justice. You have to come by and try it for yourself! I always order the escargot they did recently change it from a savory version back in May, to now it's a lemony, breadcrumb, light version. Both versions are delicious (maybe offer both?). This particular evening I was there for the steak frites dinning menu....WORTH IT! It's silly not to order this. The steak is a decent size and you get lots of fries. My table and I split the steak frites menu and order a few things from the appetizers and we were stuffed. Not a lot of places have a good dessert menu...but this place does! Everything on the dessert menu I've had, and I would get them all again. Overall, you can't go wrong here! Everything checks the boxes. They will be seeing me again, and again!

My friends thought it was a little salty, but I love salt, so it was perfect for me. The truffle fries were delicious, and both the mashed potatoes and asparagus were cooked perfectly. We had a reservation and were seated right away. I selected the main dining room when making our reservation, although they also have new upstairs seating, which you can choose when booking. They have outdoor seating on the porch, but it's too hot for us this time of year. Would love to come back and dine outside when the weather cools down. The main dining room is rustic chic with exposed brick and a really fun energy. There are mostly two-top tables with a few four-tops in the center, plus a small bar with about four seats. One of my favorite details was the vinyl record player, which almost acts as the centerpiece of the room. The hostess would switch out the records throughout the evening and place the current album on the windowsill, so you knew exactly what you were listening to. We really enjoyed the music selections! One thing to note is that the main dining room is loud. I'm not sure if it's the acoustics of the old house, but it took us a little while to get used to the noise. Once we settled in, it wasn't as noticeable, but it was definitely hard to ignore at first. If you're looking for a quieter, more intimate experience, I'd recommend reserving a table upstairs. The wine list is very small, which actually made choosing a bottle really easy. We went with a Sauvignon Blanc. I've been to French restaurants like Zinc where, because of the small two-top tables, they bring your wine in a standing bucket. Sottise does something different, they have a wall of shelves where they keep your bottle. It serves almost as another centerpiece in the room. Our server and hostess were both great about keeping our glasses filled, so we didn't miss having the bottle at the table. The menu is definitely a modern take on French cuisine, and everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the Escargot de Bourgogne, and I loved that they were served in shells rather than in a traditional escargot dish. They had just the right amount of garlic, butter and light herbs. Of course, we had to order the Fresh Country Loaf with butter so we could soak up all that delicious escargot sauce. So good! Next came the Pistou Pasta and the Le Grand Loup de Mer. The pistou sauce is made with basil, garlic and olive oil, but unlike pesto, it doesn't contain cheese or pine nuts. The flavor was incredibly fresh, and the color of the noodles from the sauce was so vibrant. But the Le Grand Loup de Mer was absolutely the star of the show! The presentation was beautiful, and the sea bass was cooked perfectly with wonderfully crisp skin. It came with a light white wine beurre blanc-style sauce, and the trout roe added the perfect amount of saltiness. Definitely get this dish! We loved it so much that we ordered a second country loaf just so we could have more bread for dipping into that incredible sauce. Instead of dessert, we finished with an espresso martini. It didn't come with any coffee beans on top, so I'm guessing they may use a Nespresso-style setup and don't have whole beans on hand. It was still really good and a nice way to end the evening. Our server was great and attentive without hovering and gave us plenty of time to enjoy our meal and each other. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Sottise. Between the unique old-house setting, vinyl records, exposed brick, modern French food and service, it's a really memorable spot. I'd definitely come back, especially when the weather cools down so we can experience the porch or try the upstairs dining area for a quieter evening.

For those familiar with Kevin Binkley's former projects, there are hints of what we used to experience at his restaurants but this takes it over the top. We used to eat at Christopher's at the Biltmore and it was wonderful to see this playful and stylish iteration. The food was phenomenal, interesting, well-excuted and so very enjoyable. There were a few service hiccups. We were served the same course twice (which was promptly removed when we notified our server). There was a significant gap between two of the courses (maybe 20 minutes or so) and it felt odd.
