Eggs Benedict with a boiled (not poached) egg.
    Angela T.

Do. Not. Eat. Here. I'm not kidding. Just don't even bother. We were a party of five that had a 10:30 reservation for Mother's Day. We arrived five minutes early, which means we were on time. Our party included two mothers that were being celebrated. Even with reservations, we waited 35 minutes to be seated. What is the point of having reservations if you don't seat the guests on time? Somehow, another group of five that came in after us got seated before us. Even other parties without reservations got seated before us. We complained, and the hostess rushed to seat us at a table that they were still in the middle of cleaning. The table wasn't ready. We had no silverware, napkins or server. Just two tables pushed together, one of which had screws loose such that the top kept wobbling around. The aforementioned family of five that was seated before us was actually next to us, and in a similar predicament. The mom in that family went and scouted out paper cocktail napkins, and the grandmother went and found silverware for 8 people. They were kind enough to share what they had with us. My husband went to look for more silverware, but was told that they were out. How does a restaurant run of silverware? And why are the guests having to go hunt it down? On Mother's Day? Really?! I got up to look for a manager, but our server finally showed up to take our order. I told her we needed more silverware and asked her to send the manager over. The manager just so happened to be the woman cosplaying hostess at the door. Now you know there is something amiss when the hostess is also the manager. She acknowledged that things were busy but seemed clueless about how to fix it, so all she did was apologize profusely. In terms of the food, my Salomon Eggs Benedict, was fine. A bit too salty with both smoked salmon and capers, but otherwise decent, and the egg was appropriately poached. My husband and daughter (who ordered the same thing) had hard boiled eggs on theirs Eggs Benedict . HARD. BOILED. My father ordered an Avocado Bacon Omelette that came out without avocado. I ordered a half waffle on the side and it didn't come out either. I had to hunt down the server about these issues. She apologized and had them brought out about 10 minutes after our meals arrived. The waffle was cold and soggy. My father's avocado slices were fine but at this point his omelette was also cold. While all this was going on we noticed that other people around us received fancy black cloth napkins while we (and the table of five who were seated before us) were still rocking paper napkins. The five of us requested two separate tabs, but the bill came out on one tab with some random boxed muffins we didn't order. I guess they were the consolation prize for our Hunger Games like experience. As the bill was being sorted out, the five at the other table got up to leave, wished us luck and hoped our day got better. To sum it up, three mothers divided between two tables had to bus their own table on our "special" day. And oh yeah, no one at the restaurant wished anyone a Happy Mother's Day. We definitely won't be going back for Father's Day or any other day for that matter.

Decided to try on a whim back from a trip. We were looking for a soft food to eat on our hangover stomach. The service was ok, not bad but not amazing, very neutral. The atmosphere was quiet and slow so that helped with the headache. My partners food was good, the turkey royal was not what we were expecting but the tomato basil soup was phenomenal plus the fries! My potatoe egg Benedict was not that great in my opinion. I ordered it base in the description of crispy potatoe cakes and it was just mushy. Partner gives 7/10 I give 5/10

We had a wonderful Valentine's lunch at Mimi's. They were not busy so we got extra attention. Our server Keenan always makes us feel at home and he is very attentive. Mimi's is a quaint French restaurant that's nicely decorated. We got the 3 course meal: I ordered Tomato Basil soup which was rich and velvety, Spinach Artichoke dip which tasted fresh with Parmesan cheese and for the main course; Turkey, dressing, broccoli and rice pilaf; it was delicious. My Valentine had Onion soup which was very tasty, Chicken Parmesan; the chicken was nicely breaded and crispy, the pasta was tender with a rich tomato sauce then for dessert chocolate lava cake, Butter rum bread pudding with is addictive and chocolate covered strawberries ( we took the dessert home) Mimi's is a great place for a date night or friends night.

Everything on the menu looked wonderful and we had no complaints about what we settled on to eat. Service was very personable and attentive, though the restaurant was largely empty on a Saturday afternoon aside from my party and one other. It's very quiet but the decor was quaint and homey. My only real drawback is that I find it a little pricey.

Great girl style breakfast food. Their muffins are great but I can't eat them anymore. They need gluten free options.

This place sucks. Their steaks taste like a cheap, chewy, nasty slab of foreign meat. I don't care for their food nor their servers.

We started with the complimentary bread, and the butter served with it was so delicious I wanted to buy some--unfortunately, they don't sell it. For appetizers, my husband ordered the French onion soup, and I chose the escargot. He thoroughly enjoyed the soup. The escargot was enjoyable, though not my personal favorite. I especially liked the foie gras pâté, which was rich, creamy, and flavorful. For the mains, my husband had the beef tenderloin with cognac-black peppercorn sauce and thin French fries. He said the steak was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was exceptional. I ordered the duck breast, which was tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. For dessert, we shared the brandy ice, which was refreshing and similar to a smoothie, and I had the classic crème brûlée, which was a wonderful way to end the meal.

We spent about 2 hours enjoying the offerings of the restaurant. They advertise a minimum of $59 per guest, but unless you frugally navigate the menu and order water I would plan to spend $100-150 per diner to get the full experience . Location: the restaurant is in a very small cottage style "house", which was PERFECT. It had so much character and really was a unique dining experience. We loved the restaurant - and had zero issues with parking. Food (and wine): the food was very good and honestly you get a lot of it. We did French onion soup, scallops, tartare, steak frites, duck, the included salad, and two desserts. Everything was genuinely very well prepared. The only thing we did not enjoy were the scallops, they were seared on one side and honestly just seemed underdone - but we're not scallop experts by any means so take that with a grain of salt. Everything else was very very good. I would highly recommend the steak frites and the duck. We will 100% come back just for the food alone. We let our waitress and the wine expert guide us with a tailored wine paring with each grouping of our dishes. This experience was very well executed - and don't skip the wine room, take a look. Service: the service was good, not amazing. The staff to table ratio felt overwhelmingly in favor of the staff, but the service didn't necessarily directly reflect that. We were celebrating a birthday which was articulated in our reservation but unfortunately that was overlooked but happily accommodated when mentioned. This was prime time on a Saturday and we were in no hurry, so not really a major impact for us. Someone who was a stickler for perfect service on a rather expensive meal might say otherwise. Overall we had a great time, and will certainly be back. Thanks for providing Fort Worth with a taste of France!

Pros: Peter, the owner and chef, greeted our table and told us his sushi specials, which are flown in special from Tokyo every Friday so they change weekly. We had the o-toro, chu-toro, aji, and fluke, and all were amazing quality and you got a lot of fish for the price. They have a lot of sushi combos and platters to service a variety of sizes of parties. We had the sushi combo which was plenty of fish, especially with the cut sizes. Wait staff was very attentive and helpful with the menu. Cons: the entrance is a little off putting but you shouldn't let that deter you. the french menu was lacking in my opinion. There is only one page of options, and we ended up not ordering anything french since the japanese was so appealing. I would've liked to see some seafood or more small plates. As you can see from posted pics here on Yelp the restaurant is classy with a brasserie ambiance and vibe. We elected to be seated in one of the very comfortable booths across from the attractive bar with its red, upholstered swivel stools. My wife opted for a glass of Pinot Grigio and I a Sazerac. The Sazarac was OK, but overpowered in this pour by the bitters (and I'm one who loves both Angostura and Peychaud bitters. I drink them both straight whenever I have a slightly queasy stomach and enjoy them straight). For starters we shared a bowl of French onion soup which on this chilly early winter morning was a comforting and savory start to our brunch meal. My wife went with the eggs Benedict and I decided to try the Oeufs en Cocotte, a dish I encountered here for the first time ever. The eggs Benedict, my wife reports, was excellent. Perfectly poached eggs, large slices of a tender and flavorful ham over a croissant-like puff pastry that had been split and grilled to perfection in butter on the flat top, topped with a nicely done Hollandaise sauce. Happily for me, she left a half of the butter grilled pastry. It was divine. Likewise the Oeufs en Cocotte, eggs poached in a shallot cream sauce, was heavenly. Cannot wait to enjoy this again! Perfectly cooked eggs in a flavorful, steaming hot, shallot and cream sauce. So good. Our server was perfectly attentive and very helpful, answering clearly our questions about the preparations of the dishes. So looking forward to our next visit.

My dad had the eggs in cream... when he gets quiet and doesn't say anything about his food, it means it's really good and he doesn't want to share it... when I stuck my knife in it and tasted it, that was confirmed, it was deliciously creamy and garlicy.
