I'm extremely upset with this location. I came here almost 2 months ago with a big party, received a separate check, & paid for my food (tipped as well), and left. About a week later I notice my charged was changed from $79 to $179! I call to ask why this occurred, and apparently other people in the party (who left well after I left) forgot to pay. So they updated my charge to reflect their items! I called and complained, stated this was VERY illegal, and they claimed they issued a refund and it should reflect in my account in 3-5 business days. Did I see a refund? No! I even called and followed up not once, not twice, but three different times with the manager Steven and he said he would call me back. Now it's been a couple months and I have very much said goodbye to the refund, but it is very sad that this is the system you use at this location. read more

What a nightmare! Had an 11:30 reservation today, Mother's Day. Got seated at 12:30. At 1:40 my adult children wanted to leave as we were told it could be another 30 minutes for our food. The employee I spoke with said management was too busy to talk to me. Told her my adult children wanted to walk out. Employee said she had other people who wanted to walk out and she would talk to manager and asked where we were seated. Told her they mismanaged their reservations and we should have never been put through this. It's one thing to wait a long time if we had no reservation. We waited a while longer, no one came to speak with us. We finally walked out. Saw the employee on the way out and let her know we were leaving. She said flippantly with attitude, "That's fine." Actually it's NOT fine. To speak to a customer like that who had already waited over two hours and couldn't wait any longer is NOT ok. Mimi's had always been my favorite place to eat and meet for breakfast or lunch with friends or family coming into town. That was my Mothers Day, waiting in an over crowded, loud, unpleasant atmosphere for food that never came and then being disrespected by a staff person. At some point you just have to leave. So I have been going here for a while over past few years. I don't go a lot but when I go the food has been good. I know they have an all day breakfast but I personally have not had breakfast there. What we do always end up eating is dinner. For some reason I am not able to drag myself away from specific items on their menu because they are so delicious. Every time we go the staff is always smiling and wonderful and the environment is always peaceful and clean. We have always had good food at Mimi's Moreno Valley but on Mother's Day we both got sick after dinner on our way home. The kitchen was backed up. I think it could have been the gravy with the turkey dinner that was bad because that is what my husband threw up in a parking lot on the way home. I had my gravy on the side so I didn't have as much as he did so I just felt a little nauseous. Very disappointed. Service was good considering the wait time was long even with reservations. The other people at our table didn't get sick because they didn't order the turkey. I won't go there on a holiday again. read more

We came in on Mother's Day for breakfast we were told 35 min wait we waited 1hr and 40 min without complaining . Had been previously told only 2 people in front of us . When we went up to ask for an update was told it would be at least another hour! I understand we had no reservation but it became your problem when your 35 min became an over 3 hour wait with no warning . Totally unacceptable will never come back . It's the customers that keep you a float next time try being honest from the beginning.. needless to say we left . Also didn't help when your GM sarcastically says happy Mother's Day as I'm leaving . 3.5 stars solid but you can't half review on here. My service here is always a 10/10. The ambiance is chill vibes. I enjoy coming here in the morning to hang out. My servers have always been attentive and kind every single time. I've been coming to this location in particular since 2018. I am leaving about 3 stars just because the food is so mid. We dined here this past Wednesday night around 7 pm, it was empty as I expected it to be, since most people come here for breakfast or brunch. We weren't that hungry, so we each had a bowl of corn chowder soup. The soup could have been warmer, it seemed lukewarm. The waitress gave us a very tiny bread basket and I didn't eat any of it because I didn't want white bread & that was the only choice. I used to eat here regularly, but they have removed many of the menu items I enjoy. We made a reservation for Mother's Day, which at first they couldn't find. That was stressful. We were finally sat down after a long wait. We both ordered coffee and muffins and only one person got them. Waitress seemed annoyed to be reminded. We waited close to two hours for the rest of the food. The food was not good. Potatos not cooked well, onions and peppers on them a barely cooked messed. Bacon barely cooked. When the waitresses asked, I had to be honest it was not good. The waitress said she was summoning the manager with the air and tone of a teacher sending you to the principals office. We just paid our bill and left. Who would have thought that you should make a reservation for Sunday brunch at Mimi's in Moreno Valley? Turns out, it's very popular and I'm so glad my friends (locals) made a reservation! The place was packed. We did wait a few minutes at the bar and my friend and I each ordered one of the very big Bloody Marys. They're large and surprisingly pricey - I think the prices are much better on Mimosas if that's your brunch drink of choice. We had a couple of egg dishes and some muffins - it was all pretty standard stuff. Decent portion size. Friendly service. And the Bloodys... while a little pricey were definitely good and are great photo fodder. Not the most spectacular brunch ever, but seems to be THE place to go in Mo Valley. Surprisingly the tartar sauce was so good and made the salmon taste refreshing. The pasta was cooked perfectly and had a good texture. It was served with broccoli and cherry tomatoes, giving diversity to the plate. The best part was the dessert. The bread pudding was huge and tasted delicious. The marmalade they put on top was a good pair with the texture big the bread pudding. The lava cake was so moist, delicious, sweet but not sweet. The chocolaty taste and sponginess of the cake paired well with the vanilla ice cream. The steaming warmth of the cake in combo with the cold ice cream was really delightful. read more

My sister and I went to Mimi's in Moreno Valley. It was about a 20 minute drive from Sun City where we live however, it was definitely worth the drive the service was beyond excellent and the food was scrumptious. Mimi's Cafe... I've been coming to Mimi's for 35 Years and it's always been one of my favorite restaurants to dine at. Everything here is good and always made fresh. The menu speaks for itself and has excellent choices for one's liking today the least, ever time I come here to have a meal it's always made fresh. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner is made perfectly well to say the least and the serums always great, the staff is respectful and the menu choice are great. Mimi's is a classic restaurant in Southern California and has always been one of my favorite restaurants to dine, the food is delicious and especially the deserts are amazing. We came at this location to celebrate Veterans Day with my husband. I called previously to make sure that they offer something for veterans. The man on the phone said they do, that they offer a meal up to $20. Which I had seen online. We came to the cafe, got seated right away, and had to wait for a server 20 mins later. Our waitress stated they were short staffed and will be right with us. 5 mins later that same waitress came back to take our order, my husband asked if they do veterans discount, just to make sure they did. Our waitress stated we needed a code to show her from the Mimi's app to show that we were going to get the veteran discount? And wasn't sure ?? But will offer 10% for our meal...? My husband was pretty upset at this. We told the host that we wanted to cancel our order and we left. That was disappointing... no respect for the veterans. read more

If I were reviewing on my experience of 2 days ago, I'd rate it a 2-star, at best. Waiter did not greet us, at all. After sitting for a while he said he'd be right back. After sitting a while longer he finally took our orders. Food took exceptionally long to be delivered. It was all cold: French toast; eggs. I ate the eggs anyway but decided to let him know, when he finally returned to check if all was well, everything was cold. He offered to get more eggs and replace French toast. I declined the more eggs offer and gave him my French toast. He stuck it in the microwave to reheat. Never refilled our waters. Sadly disappointed with a facility I always looked forward to going back to for breakfast. Not so much now. read more

We came in today at 9:35 am... we were told the wait was 20 minutes, they sat us down at 10 am.. no biggie. Now it's 10:27 and no one has even approached us to take our order... another server asked if we had been helped and sent the waiter over here. We placed our order at 10:30.. the eggs and omelette came at 10:58 am. We had to ask another waitress for our check because our waiter just never came back... we waited another 20 min to get the check., and that's because another waitress had to ask us again if we had gotten our check.
