There should have been a better description of how little the plates were and that the advertisement of the whole turkey was totally over advertised. I am rating this one star for management attention. The star rating may change if management acknowledge this staff training issue. I paid with a credit card but the waitress decided to throw away the customer copy of the credit card receipt without asking me first. I waited for another customer copy before I signed the merchant copy. Unfortunately no manager was available to print out another customer copy. When paying with a credit card I expect to get a customer copy of credit card transaction because sometimes erroneously charges take place and I can resolve the issue with my credit card company with the customer copy of the credit card transaction receipt which shows the transaction date and time, the charges including tip, the location, etc. We are frequent regulars to this restaurant. We go to this location at least 1 to 2 times a week for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We enjoy the food and ambience. read more

I am soo disappointed in the service. The guests that came in before AND after us had received their and the one after ate and left. No, napkins or utensils on the table. My sister ordered a Bloody Mary and was NOT told that they didn't have all the ingredients but still served it. We waited a LONG time for our order. The waiter came and said he'll be with us in a moment. The person that seated us came and took our order. After that person took our order...then minutes later the waiter came to us to take our order, than suddenly he said he'll be back and went to the table NEXT to us AND NEVER RETURNED. I had ordered the Brie, when it was brought to the table, it was a melted glob of cheese...it was over microwaved and the plate was hot, I refused it. The person that seated us AND took our order said, let him replace it. I said ok...but ZI thought about and when he returned I asked, for a PUMPKIN muffin instead. A female waitress was passing by and I said, excuse me may I speak with the manager and she stated that she was the Lead. I explained to her what I am explaining to you...I told her how upsetting and disappointed I was and so was the rest of the party with me. She apologized and wanted to replace the Brie but I declined. I told her I ordered a PUMPKIN MUFFIN instead. In returning, I was given a Spice muffin. I told "our" waiter and he wanted to replace it. I said, no...because in my head I said, I'm NOT comfortable in having things replaced after complaining. I ate some of the Spice and told "our" waiter that it was Spice NOT pumpkin...I ordered Pumpkin. He apologized. I ate my food and drank my triple berry iced tea without getting a refill (because I wasn't comfortable). The Lead came back to see how things were, I mention I ordered a PUMPKIN muffin and received the Spice one. She apologized, and said, I'll bring you a pumpkin muffin...that I need to taste it. At that time my mom ordered a Pumpkin loaf. So, the main reason for this review. I didn't eat the Pumpkin muffin there, I took it to go. I work nights and I took it to work last night (9/12/22). As I was eating the muffin, I noticed how bitter it was, thinking it was me I drank my water. But it was getting more and more bitter. I NEVER tasted any Pumpkin...I lost my taste the ONLY taste was bitterness. I went to throw it away but decided to keep it. I had a headache and a bad taste in my mouth. I told my mom what happened and asked her to taste it and she refused. I called my sister and told her what happened....quote, I WILL NEVER GO TO THAT MIMIS AGAIN. We stopped at Mimis normally they are great, this seemed to be a bad time , for this Mimi's (about 1pm. ) The restaurant was extremely stuffy. I ordered the turkey royal, it was so full I could never have eaten, I thought I had ordered a normal turkey sandwich but it was like a Waldorf salad piled on so thick the bread fell and the bread was really hard so it took a lot. The french fries were over cooked. The worst part was getting the delightful bread basket, however either you don't do the bread basket anymore or you were out of the breads. It had a few pieces of burnt French bread that I could not even bite. We usually eat at the Mimi's in La Quinta. This was all thumbs down. Wooowww! Used to go to Mimi's all the time. Haven't been for a long time and certainly won't be coming back. "Bread Basket" is now thin small slices of bread. Although pot roast dinner being one of their signature dinners, and being on their menu online, they don't have it anymore. They have "French pot roast" on a small pile of mashed potatoes. Half was vegetables. Service was horrible dispute there being literally 4 tables of people in the entire place (10 people). $100 for 3 people. Never again! read more

He was on the ball with everything, my mother in law has numerous food allergies, and Tommy double-checked her order to make sure there was nothing that she couldn't have in her meal. I don't know how this pace is still in business. They have raised their prices astronomically, yet their food is still well below par My wife sent back her entire tuna melt sandwich because it was burnt and nasty. The server didn't even ask what the problem was, or if anything could be done to rectify the matter. I ordered a Pasta with 2 tiny pieces of chicken on it (about $20 alone for that mean & the pasta was dried out). My daughter didn't want to finish her chicken tenders as they too were dried out. When someone doesn't eat the meal they ordered you make it right; but not here at Mimis. Not only did my wife not eat the meal, they did not take it off of the bill. The restaurant is not kept up to clean standards either. The bathrooms were atrocious before we came in and they stayed that way through our entire meal. The restaurant only had a few tables open inside so the place was not packed, but it's clear none of the employees are checking the cleanliness of the bathrooms; let alone cleaning them. This will be the last time we dine at Mimis. It's a shame as they used to be pretty decent. read more

Oh my goodness! I called eight restaurants looking for a place to hold my grandmother's surprise 90th birthday celebration for 14 people. Mimi's café was the only place that met all of my requirements. The main one being that they allowed us to book a reservation! The second being more of the request was that they had a private room. Sierra was absolutely amazing on the phone and in person. Not only was she the person I spoke with to book the room and ask my 101 questions to make sure I was making the right choice, but she also was our waitress. She was sweet and courteous and professional the whole time. Did I mention we had a couple of small children? She made the 74 mile trip a pleasure. And let's not forget about the food. Oh the food! I have not eaten in a Mimi's café for quite some years due to negative experiences. So I was not really looking forward to this experience. But I was proven wrong again, and again today! The salmon was cooked to perfection. The garlic spinach was absolutely divine. And the potatoes au gratin were so good even my smallest niece couldn't stop eating them off my plate. We were blessed with such care that someone on staff , I believe the GM, even cut the cake that we brought to celebrate my grandmother's birthday! They took such good care of us.
