My first visit here, and the food was okay. Asked for my eggs over easy, however they were more medium/hard. Also, the potatoes were warm, but lacked much taste. Just plain potatoes. You can add peppers/onions for a fee, which is annoying. My "toast" was not very toasted and cool. The coffee and service was really good. I personally would not go back, nor was it my first choice. I was with a small group and I went with the flow. I'll be more vocal in the future. read more

We had an amazing visit at the Mimi's in California so gave this one a chance. At this location, the server and food was good. We had the avocado chicken ciabatta and hamburger. The hamburger's bottom bread piece was soggy from grease but the rest of it was tasty. Also, had two muffins as appetizer. We had the pumpkin and pineapple upside down muffin. So delish! I was sad to see they went away with the bread and muffin basket they used to give to patrons. The last thing I'd like to point out are the bathrooms. There was a terrible sewer smell in the bathrooms. The toilet handles and facets need a desperate renovation as they were green and bubbling with fluids. That smell made me nauseous as I hurried out of there. Not sure I'd ever return unless the bathroom sewage situation was resolved. read more

2nd time at Mimi's. This time I get to experience the full experience cause last time it was at a baby shower. You can book events here like baby, bridal showers and etc. We ordered the trio appetizers it comes with 4 pieces of fried chicken strips, 4 or so pieces of zucchini sticks, and tortilla chips with spinach artichoke dip. Everything is good. They bring you complementary french bread & banana bread with butter. I ordered the Mimi's ribeye steak, it comes with 2 sides. I chose mash potatoes & broccoli. It was really good & flavorful. My brother ordered the roasted turkey club. It was like a blt sandwich. With 3 pieces of toast & tukey, bacon & cheese(cheese is extra.) Inside it's a big place. We walked in at 830 am for breakfast hadn't been to a Mimi's for years. 1 person working and manager sitting in the corner eating breakfast. Place was dead and we weren't acknowledged for 15 minutes. Server running around trying to help everyone and waiting on manager for breakfast. All the tables were dirty so they sat us in an empty place right next to a family with little kids. Hands down the best breakfast I have had in ages! The eggs were cooked perfect, my husband's omelet was filled to the brim with vegetables, and the cappuccino was better than Starbucks. Both kids had chocolate chip pancakes there were made into the shape of a puppy face. Best all around place to eat and great service. This will def be our go to place from here on forward. read more

Good social distancing at tables and servers are wearing masks. The food is still going ok. The turkey club used real turkey (maybe too thick),but the lettuce was dark green style with no crunch. I am so sad to leave this review. For most of my life, Mimi's Cafe has always been a delicious place to eat. No matter the location, I knew the name & reputation of the restaurant meant it was going to be good fare and kind and warm restaurant staff. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience today. I gave 2 stars due to the place being clean. However, our server did not want to be at work today. She was cold, and I just don't know why she came into work. Lived down the street from this location for years and hadn't stopped in until recently with the family. With two toddlers, the kids menu is important to us and they seemed to have a good one. My two daughters enjoyed the waffles and mac n' cheese selections, which came with a fun "dirt cup" dessert. My soup and sandwich lunch combo was great, and my wife enjoyed her omelette. Service was friendly and attentive. Decor was cozy, with fun paintings and a pleasant ambiance. My wife commented that we will need to return and add this place to our rotation. We stopped here for breakfast on a whim since we were at Desert Ridge. I ordered ham and eggs, my husband got chicken and waffles. He also ordered an iced mocha. He said the mocha was horrible. I thought my eggs were runny and had a weird texture to them. The ham wasn't that stellar, potatoes were ok. I had a chocolate chip muffin that was delicious! Sorry to leave a bad review, but just very disappointed. Ordered an omelet yesterday morning for breakfast. The egg was scorched, and all the ingredients were served on top of the omelet, rather than used as the filling. It was very, very bland and eggy. The first thing that kind of stunned us were the big signs requesting that you pay in cash which is all fine and good however it appeared very desperate as they were everywhere. It appeared that the interior had not been cleaned or vacuumed in sometime and everything looked old and uncared for. Then we received our food and that too was not the quality we used to receive at Mimi's restaurant. To say it was disappointing is truly an understatement. I ordered quiche which I used to get there every time but this appeared to have come from the frozen food section of the grocery store. I used to come here years ago for a Sunday brunch which was very good. We were in the neighborhood around dinner time on a weekday and dropped in. They had 1 guy who was the host/waiter/busboy/bartender - everything but the cook. But, the place only had 3 tables occupied and I had to wonder why. Then I got our food and I found out why. I got a chicken parm pasta dish. The chicken was a bit overcooked, the sauce on the chicken and the pasta was bland and the pasta was overcooked. My dining partner got the French Pot Roast. I think it arrived fresh out of the microwave. It's not that it was bad, it was just blah. and the veggies were overcooked. For dessert we got the bread pudding which was cold in the middle - I mean like it didn't defrost enough kinda cold and we got the lava cake. Not much lava and the chocolate was really bitter. I would have complained but I felt sorry for the poor guy doing damn near everything so I paid the bill, left a tip and left knowing I'd never be back. read more

Yeah, please do not waste your money. Remember the day when Mimi's was moderately priced decent chain restaurant to go with grandma? It's not that. This morning's visit was my first in 5 years. It will be my very last. Tables are sticky and bunched up rug almost took out my server and the oil and vinegar went flying. (It was a slo-mo scene) I ordered (see photo) Mimi's attempt offering at modern choices on their "French" menu. I subbed the grain for greens (gluten sensitive and Keto friendly). It looked like someone threw stuff in a bowl. It was poorly cooked and 10 bucks for a small portion it had zero flavor and could have been made at home for a buck-fifty. I ordered a side of bacon. It was decent. I ordered a 4-shot decaf whole-milk latte. I stated three times that it must be decaf. It arrived miraculously caffeinated. It took another 10 minutes. I ordered a soda water. This meal was just north of $26.00. For the same price I could have received so much more and better at Oink, OHSO, Flower Child or other rival mid-chain restaurants. I complained and it was was glazed over. Another family was going to complain but was tired of waiting. It was a fiasco. Lesson learned. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The wife and I have a special place in our heart for this company and how far it has fallen. We originally opened the metrocenter location and meet there as servers, fell in love and have been married for 20 years. When u first walk in, they have a orange sign asking if ypu could pay cash but still accept card, not a good start. Then we literally waited 20 minutes for service to which we got none. We walked out and told the manager our concerns and he frankly could care less and sent us on our way. This place is breaking down, is dingy, tables on their last leg, carpet was horrible and the bathrooms had pee on the floor in multiple places, just an overall dirty place. This place has 6 months tops and they are gone, don't bother going. read more
