    Seafood Tofu Soup, $23
    Calvin C.

We were disappointed to see a $1.98 "Administration Fee" appear on our bill. Restaurants should be up front about how much they will be charging, even if the additional charges will be small. They also charged $1 for two to go boxes. We recognize that it's a tough time for restaurants but feel that transparency on pricing is very important. Our visit to Minari was around 5pm on a Friday. There was ample seating, and we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly and made recommendations about the menu. The food was good. They served us six different types of banchan. We ordered a seafood tofu soup ($23), chicken bibimbap ($24) and chicken wings ($18). The seafood tofu had a wide variety of seafood and included a small piece of crab and a small raw egg. We also liked the chicken wings, which we ordered with the sweet chili sauce. There's street parking in front of the restaurant for $1.50 per hour. But if you walk around the block to El Camino, the parking is free.

I came here as a party of two with my friend and ordered the cheese corn, spicy bulgogi, and the sundubu jjigae with beef here. I would say the bulgogi is sufficiently spicy and has a massive portion that makes it great for sharing family style! This was my favorite out of the three we ordered! I liked my sundubu, but the broth didn't have much of a anchovy/seafood taste to it? That seems like a minor nitpick, but the flavor adds a lot of depth that you can't really replicate otherwise with any other kind of broth or just water! The corn cheese was decent, this place will scratch the itch of Korean food if you've been craving it.

Pretty decent Korean food for the peninsula, I think there's places in the South Bay that are better value, but not bad at all! The banchan was pretty good - the daikon one was our favorite and had a really aromatic sesame oil flavor. The doenjang jiggae had really interesting maybe homemade tofu, but was a little too salty at the end.

We went to Minari for a family dinner and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance, service, and most importantly the food were fantastic. I honestly ended up eating more than I planned because everything was just that good. After a few bites of each dish, I already knew we'd be coming back. The restaurant is very kid-friendly our 3-year-old happily ate almost everything we ordered. The doenjang jjigae was bold and deeply flavorful, the chicken kimchi fried rice was subtle yet delicious, and the pancakes were perfectly crispy. Portions are generous and served family-style, which made sharing easy. They also offer several vegetarian-friendly options, and our server was extremely attentive, making sure our dietary restrictions were well taken care of. Highly recommend Minari for a relaxed, family-friendly meal with excellent food.

We came again for a birthday dinner and found out they just started opening up Sundays the last 2 weeks. We over ordered for the 6 of us but most of the dishes were good. The short rib (galbi), bibimbap, and chicken wings were all good. We all thought the 2 tofu soups - veggie and seafood were excessively spicy, very difficult to eat because they were so hot as well as the pork dish. The cheese corn was OK but not something I'd order again. We received 4 bowls of rice with the order and asked for 2 bowls more and the charge was $3 a bowl. Service was iffy. I had to ask for an extra plate, serving spoons and no one refilled our water container. The wait staff checked on us a couple of times and she was friendly. We had lots of leftovers and asked for 3 boxes and a small container for the soup and was charged 50 cents per container. They close early around 8 PM so come early.

One of the best Korean restaurants I've been to. The staff is really nice and welcoming! The place is very clean and spacious! Really good feng shui! Had kpop music popping, but not too loud that interrupted our conversation. The food was really good! We got galbi (very tasty), tofu soup, mackerel and Kim chee fried rice. All delicious!!! Highly recommend this place! Will def be back!

Was craving Korean food but K Grill wasn't open yet, and I hadn't had Minari in a couple of years so wanted to give it another try. The food isn't amazing but it's passable. Not sure what it is but K Grill is definitely better. The service was excellent though! I probably wouldn't go back again anytime soon as it's not my taste for Korean food.

My last meal before I go back on my diet and it did not disappoint at all. Had a craving for korean food, and Minari had everything we were looking for. We ordered the Tteok-bokki, kimchi fried rice, 6 piece wings with the spicy sauce and the plain scallion pancake. The plain pancakes were my favorite! They were really thick, and had a nice crisp! Paired with the sauce, it was amazing. The Tteok-bokki was also really delicious! Perfect balance of sweet and spicy, and the mandu dipped in the sauce was elite! The kinchi fried rice was just okay. Our egg was cooked over hard, and I wish it was on the runnier side. It lacked any kimchi flavor, but still decent paired with our other dishes. The chicken was also just okay. The spicy sauce wasn't too spicy, and was also pretty sweet which I enjoyed. The wings were a really small, but they did give us extra, I'm assuming go compensate, which I appreciated. The fries were surprisingly also really good!! The workers were really kind and checked in on us throughout our meal. My only gripe with this place as someone that drinks abnormally large amounts of water when eating is that the water was self serve, and the cups are super small. I found myself having to constantly get up to refill my water, which wasn't a huge deal, just slightly inconvenient. I wish they provided a pitcher for each table, or a bigger cup. This is a great spot for Korean food, and I will be back!

Came into this place on a Friday and was seated right away. I love the family vibes of this restaurant. Our food was delicious. We honestly ordered anything on the menu that looked good, and it was! One note: they make their spicy dishes ACTUALLY spicy which I loved! But beware if this would be a problem for some. Overall a great meal, we left very satisfied!

First time visit, and I admit I hesitated to go because of the higher than typical prices of the items. With that being said, the portion sizes are massive and makes the prices almost justifiable. The flavors were fairly good and authentically korean, but the flavor of the soups felt a bit dull, the texture of the corn cheese wasn't appetizing, and the japchae lacked proteins and comparative size to justify the price. The galbi also wasn't the grade to justify the $38 price point, albeit there were tons of pieces. The servers were very nice and frequently checked on us to refill water/banchan. Very clean and open interior, and had no issue getting our table of six seated right away. Not a bad spot for Korean, especially if local. But there are quite a few other places I may opt for more for prices, quality, and menu options.

Was in the neighborhood and didn't know what to eat so my family and I decided on Asian food and this was the spot that came up upon looking up for a food spot to try. We've had Korean food before and we are BIG fans of Korean food. This place gives off a home like feeling. Service took a while, buy the staff were friendly. We loved the food as it tasted fresh and delicious. Only downside is for the portion and price point it seems to be a bit rather expensive for small portions. My family and I we made it work. We all picked something and decided to share everything. Place of establishment is clean and well kept. Would I come back maybe if I was in the area and I was craving Korean food.

Sweet chili chicken wings with french fries

My daughter asked for Korean chicken wings for lunch. Since I needed to run an errand in Millbrae, I looked up Korean restaurants nearby and stumbled upon Minari. It was highly rated on Yelp, so we drove to San Bruno to check it out. We were the only patrons initially, but our server greeted us with a smile and was very friendly. My daughter opted for the sweet chili chicken wings while I ordered a kimchi tofu stew. Our server forewarned me that the stew was spicy, which I appreciated. Our food came out quickly and was surprised to see that the chicken wings came with fries. We were served 6 different banchan, along with a raw egg for my tofu stew. Both my daughter and I were pleased with our meals! The food was good, the portions were generous, and the prices were appropriate with friendly service. Our server even asked if we wanted a refill on our banchan, but we were stuffed so I declined.

I always come here when the cravings hit, and it always delivers. Food is consistently delicious and comforting every single time. I usually come on weekday evenings, this time was a Tuesday around 6:30pm. We got seated right away - no crowd stress. We ordered japchae (honestly, Minari has the best Japchae I've had anywhere and love how veggie-packed it is), spicy pork, and kimchi fried rice. All hits. The pork was served with thin slices of semi-raw carrots which added a delicious crunch to every bite. The fried rice was on the oilier side, but I liked it, though my husband would've preferred less oil. I've also had the seafood pancake and kimchi jjigae before, both dishes I strongly recommend. The jjigae especially has perfectly fermented kimchi that gives it great depth. As always, service was warm, attentive, and quick with the banchan refills. Parking can be a little tough on the street, but I always find a spot in the lot behind Kuya's on Cypress and Mastick. I recommend this place to all my friends, and it's never let me down! 10/10. Can't wait to come back again and again.

One thing I love about any dining experience is getting a lot of different flavors and textures in one meal. The banchan here had seven different dishes! Of course you get your kimchee, bean sprouts, fish cakes and then some other pickled fruits and veggies. They also gave me what seemed like a roasted sardine? In any case, it was delicious! The Dolsot Bibimbap was a hit! Crispy rice, vegetables, beef and a fried egg on top. Plus, some gochujang sauce to go on it! So yummy! I feel like the prices here are pretty standard for the area, but I do think it's 100% worth the money. Check them out if you're in the area!

We were seated right away, and the restaurant itself is clean, nice, and spacious. I can imagine it getting packed during peak hours--and honestly, it should. I'm going straight to the point: Han Sang has the best Galbi Jjim I've ever had. I've been to other places (which shall remain unnamed) that proudly claim they have the best Galbi Jjim, but I'm happy to say I've finally found the one. At the same time, I'm a little sad because I live in SoCal, which means I can't just come here whenever the craving hits. This dish checked every box imaginable. The beef was incredibly flavorful, fall-apart tender, and they gave a generous amount of meat. And when I say meat, I mean actual meat--not a pile of bones disguised as a serving. (Yes, that's coming from past restaurant trauma.) You definitely get your money's worth here. The rice cakes were cooked perfectly and soaked up all that rich, savory sauce. Then came the surprise waiting at the bottom: glass noodles. Not the usual thin ones either--these were thicker, chewier, and absolutely delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor. The entire dish was so satisfying it genuinely made me happy. We also ordered the Chadol and Yangji Suyuk, a beef brisket soup that was exactly what we needed on a cold evening. The brisket was tender, and as expected, the broth arrived lightly seasoned so you can adjust it to your liking. After adding a little salt, pepper, and some ssamjang, it became the perfect comforting bowl of soup. Warm, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try their Bossam because the portions were huge and we could barely finish what we ordered. That's not a complaint--if anything, it's the perfect excuse to come back. Leek Pancake - This was made so well, it was thin yet crispy and held together well. Yangji Chadol Sul Long Tang - At first glance, this setup is so nice with the assortment of sides at the top to the different items you can add into the soup. Customary at most Vietnamese restaurants, you get your food with minimal check ins and not even a plate clearing until the bill comes. This was NOT the case here. There service was definitely in the A/A+ range! I ordered on my phone via QR code, but there was an option to order in person from a server. I ordered many items to try out. I ordered spring rolls, crispy salt and pepper wings, grilled pork banh mi, beef dac beit pho, and a Thai iced tea. Thai Iced Tea was pretty good. Grade: A I thought the Spring Rolls were decent, but what made them even better was the peanut sauce! I always hate when the peanut sauce is watery and this was far from that! An excellent gooey peanut sauce and maybe one of the best I've had fpr consistency. Grade: A- Crispy salt and pepper wings definitely had an incredible crunch. They were up there in crunchiness. The drumettes were meaty which I appreciated. They were well seasoned also. I think I need to try their other wings before crowning these, but some of the cruncheist wings I've had for sure. Grade: A- Beef Dac Biet Pho had some real high quality meat in it. I had options in noodle and my go-to for any pho spot is the egg noodles. I wish it had more bo vien in it, but I appreciated the combo of meats. The broth seemed authentic, but I wanted a tad more flavor out of it without adding sauces. Overall, the pho grade was a B+ bordering an A-. The star of the show was the grilled pork banh mi. The meat was tender and saucy. In fairness I asked for extra pickles and mayo, but I was very impressed. The bread had the crispy crunch we all look for but minus the stale bread. The breads soft yet crispness made it seem as if it just came out of the oven! I'm going to dub this as the best I've had in the Bay Area! There I said it! Grade: A+ Everyone who ordered the sampler seemed very pleased at other tables, I would definitely try that. Also, want to try the other banh mis and noodle options for the pho. There was a nice vibe at this place. I didn't feel rushed although they do close fairly early at 8pm. The server's mom is the one cooking in the kitchen and I appreciated the family feeling at this place. They do have a newer location in San Francisco that has a DJ Friday nights that I may check out. I believe the server said that they are open til 2am on most nights, but I may have misheard her. Feel free to Yelp that location. My only disappointment was that I really love papaya salad and it was not an option. I may make this my go-to spot from now on, but as a Yelper, we all know we will keep trying new places. This will be the one I continue to frequent. Well done Pho de Nguyen!

I ordered the Pho Tai Gau (rare steak and brisket) with thin pho noodles, split bowl with extra noodles to share with my toddler. The meat is super thin and tender! Although we ordered "extra" noodles, it didn't feel like extra compared to a normal bowl, but my toddler wanted more soup than noodles so it worked out. We also got the imperial rolls appetizer. The restaurant was clean and quiet when we arrived, and then a lot of people showed up and made it very lively in a nice way. I got the spicy pork ramen and it was VERY good and flavorful. I got added the spicy option and it definitely was spicy which I enjoyed. Only small complaint was that it seemed like the others in my party got more noodles to their ramen dishes, but that was something we joked about and didn't ruin my dinner. Would definitely go back here to try out different food options, unless I'm in the mood again for that great ramen.

Overall: 3.6/5 Got bulgogi stone pot bibimbap. Heavy on the veggies and good portion size. However, there wasn't much flavor on the bulgogi and the stone pot added no crispiness to the rice or veggies that were touching it. Felt like it was missing something texturally. Overall it was fine, but for the price I wouldn't get it again. The other item ordered was the spicy pork with tofu soup combo. Tofu soup was fine, but again lacked depth or a different flavor note. Spicy pork was good, flavored and marinated well, and cooked great. Banchan given was good. Service was good and food was out prompt.

We usually go to the South San Francisco location, but since we were in the area, we decided to…read moregive this one a try. I asked the owner if it was the same ownership as the South San Francisco restaurant, and he told me that location belongs to his brother. One thing I noticed right away was that everything came out at once. Most Korean restaurants serve tea and banchan (side dishes) first, followed by the main dishes later. Personally, I loved that everything arrived together because it made for a beautiful presentation and allowed me to take great photos of the entire meal. The meal came with eight side dishes: fresh greens, soybean sprouts, potatoes, fried tofu, fish cake, kimchi radish, kimchi cabbage, and seaweed. The variety was impressive, and each dish was well prepared. For our main dishes, we ordered the Galbi (L), Bulgogi (L), Seafood & Green Onion Pancake, and Cold Noodles. The galbi and bulgogi were both perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. They were well balanced, not too salty and not too sweet. The seafood pancake was a standout. It was wonderfully crispy with plenty of seafood. My only suggestion would be for the dipping sauce. It tasted a little too light for my preference. A sauce with more spice and a touch of sweetness and savoriness would make it even better. The cold noodles were decent, but the broth portion was a bit small, and the flavor was somewhat bland compared to the other dishes. As for the side dishes, the fried tofu was my favorite. The potatoes were delicious with a tasty sauce, and the greens were fresh and crisp. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the presentation was great. :)

Coincidentally, some of my friends were also thinking of coming here so we made it happen on Sunday evening. We pre-ordered the big duck and shared the rainbow salad, bok choy with morel mushrooms, sweet and sour shrimp and sweet and sour whole fish. The Peking Duck was indeed the best I've had in the Bay Area (it's crispy, rich but somehow not greasy). You get the traditional crepes (as opposed to the Bao in most places) and accompaniments. They also made a great broth with the duck bones that served as an excellent consommé. The rest of the dishes were also good - I would order that shrimp and rainbow salad again for sure. Service was OK and the restaurant looks recently remodeled. There were five of us and we spent about $55 each - an incredible value for the meal. Highly recommended!!!

The bad news: this place is a war zone on weekends, even with a reservation, get ready to wait. We waited 30 mins. The service was fairly decent but they are extremely busy. Reserving makes it a bit better and you can order a duck
