We shared a "small" mango snow with mango popping boba, strawberries and condensed milk. We paid over $8, which might sound pricey, but it was VERY big, tasty and perfect for sharing. We actually took some home since we couldn't finish it. The atmosphere is cool, minimal, and pretty hip. The souvenir glasses they offer are unique too. We timed it about right and only waited 5-10 minutes (and got a nice table outside), but the line got about 3x bigger after we ordered. Not sure I would've waited as long as some of those folks. This location is right in the heart of Belmont Shore - perfect for foot traffic - so expect even longer Summer lines. They were quite busy and doing the best they could to handle the crowd. The young man who took our order was super friendly and eager to help, but he also had to leave the front a few times to help fulfill orders. Give em some time, they'll work out the kinks. read more

So much fun! Cotton candy!! My daughter loves this place and as gross as it sounds macaroons with fruity pebbles are a taste explosion in the mouth. HOWEVER, the brown butter ice cream was divine. My day started off great until I walked into the store and found out they removed the shaved ice from the menu. I was devastated, that's the main reason I came. The cashier saw the disappointment in my eyes. So I said myself, "Stay calm buddy, let's try something new today". So I took a deep breathe and recollected myself and ordered a Fruity Pebbles ice cream sandwich and the Sunset lemonade. I picked up my order and sat down. What a delight! We stumbled upon these with our friends on an evening out. It was the perfect dessert to round out our dinner! My hubby and I shared a bowl of the taro shaved ice with Jamoca almond fudge ice cream and Mochi topping!! The portion was huge and I'm glad we shared! So absolutely delicious! This place could have had so much potential. Unfortunately, it fell below expectation. Mind you, this was my first time here & I told the girl behind the counter that. She in no way tried to make any suggestions on items to order or explain the menu. I proceeded to order a regular size shaved snow. She asked what flavor & I told her mango. I get my order to find out that it should have come with a topping and ice cream after I had already finished my shaved snow. Basically ate mango flavored ice for $6.50! When I went to clarify this mishap, the boy behind the counter said, "well I can offer you a scoop of ice cream." The purpose of ordering what I did was to have it all together. I wouldn't have a burger and just be brought the meat and later offered the buns after I had already finished. Wouldn't come here again. Bad customer service! read more

The quality of their Thai Iced Tea and Matcha Green Tea at this branch is inferior from the Koreatown branch. For a popular place like this, they should have a strict quality standard. My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVE this place, discovered it a few months ago and haven't stopped coming since. Shaved snow is our favorite, it has always been served on a nice good size plate.This last time we went they served us in a, what i call it, a frozen yogurt sized disposable tub. HATE IT! Takes away the unique look of the shaved snow topped of with toppings. You also get much less, before we could finish one regular size shaved snow in between both of us. Now it seems like we each finish one. Can't even take nice pictures of our plate anymore since its all crammed into this tub. Should forsure bring back the plates!! read more

Me and my boyfriend shared a larger shaved ice and boy was it huge. Good thing we did not order anything extra. We got taro and mango shaved ice with a Columbian coffee+oreos ice-cream and mochi on top (they either give you the option of picking 2 toppings or getting an ice-cream with 1 topping with your shaved ice, which I thought was bomb.com) drizzled with condensed milk (you have an option of choosing either that, caramel, or a chocolate drizzle). The mango was on point, and the shaved ice was creamy and not too icy like other places. The Columbian coffee was the best in my opinion. The wait was a little long but the line was huge so it was understandable. For $8 it was worth getting because me and my boyfriend were both hungover from sugar by the time we finished. read more

YES!!!! The hubby & I love this place..... almost too much.... We used to drive drive all the way to the Westminster & HB location just for a ice cream sammich! (that's dedication) What's there not to love about this place? They're known for their large macaroon ice cream sandwiches, variety of teas/boba teas, and their late hours. I love the churro Macaroon with horchata ice cream!! The combination is definitely made for cinnamon toast crunch lovers! There is usually a line here on weekends, but during the weekday it's not so bad. I love that the company offers mason jars or limited edition light bulb shaped jars to bring back and get refilled for the price of the regular teas. It's amazing when businesses try to be earth friendly!!! I typically get the thai tea which is sweet and creamy. I highly recommend ordering at least 2, yes 2 of their oreo cookie stuffed chocolate chip cookies. It's the "human centipede" of the cookie world!!! read more

First time here and the service was really poor. I've had shaved snow at other places and they were helpful in suggesting toppings. We didn't know how this place worked and told the staff (short hair dark girl who looked like a guy) it was our first time there. The person up front just stared at us. So we got a mango shaved ice with nothing on it. The toppings were free but they never asked what we wanted on the shaved snow. After finishing the shaved snow we realized it came with a scoop of ice cream that they failed to mention. So there remedy was to give us a free scoop of ice cream. So you tell me if you were to order a pepperoni pizza but you only got cheese I'll just give you a side of pepperoni later? Way to treat a first time customer. First time here and although the line was long, the employees, especially Emma and Anjane took extra time with us to explain everything. They allowed us to sample ice cream flavors while we waited for our Jasmine tea with Boba, which was excellent. We will definitely be back over and over and hope Emma and Anjane are working to show us different fun products and make sure our tea is sweetened exactly how we like it. Saw my sister's IG post and had to visit. VERY popular spot and the line was pretty long. The hubs staked out a table on the tiny patio area while we placed our order. I had the churro macaron with vanilla ice cream, the kid got the oreo cookie ice cream cloud with rainbow sprinkles and hubs got the oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. SO GOOD and very reasonably priced. We love Creamistry but it's so expensive! The macaron was perfection (the family loved their desserts too). Parking can be tough to find; we lucked out and found a great spot a block away. read more

I hate to leave bad reviews, but I'm using Yelp as an outlet for the business owner to take feedback about changing their processes. There is always a line out the door ( good thing for a business owner, right? Well, not exactly). Legitimately every time we've come up until tonight we've stood in line and after 10 mins of no movement, left. With that said, I have also witnessed others do the same. Actually as I'm sitting here writing this, a family of 4 just left. They believe in this one cash register policy to keep costs low which is perfectly fine, but then the efficiency level and production line MUST be on point to keep people moving! For the amount of $ each person I've seen walked out of this place would have spent if they ever felt like they would get to order at some point in this century, that would have covered the hourly rate of the employee who stands in the lobby and passes out samples to keep customers around. Or, have someone offering samples prior to when they get to the 1 cash register so by that point they are ready to order and on to the next. I think this place likes the idea of long lines (hence why they even have a sign apologizing for it) or else they would have brainstormed and figured out a way to make it better. Let's be honest here, an ice cream sandwich is an ice cream sandwich and what keeps customers coming to specific locations is the experience...now, I don't know about you but there is nothing appealing about the experience of waiting and waiting and waiting as if we were at Disneyland! Yea maybe long lines get people in the door, but I can guarantee they are loosing a large % of their customer base because the line does not move quick enough. Take note from Diddy Reise the godfather of ice cream sandwiches in Westwood. The line is around the block, and you are sinking your teeth in a yummy dessert within 5 mins! read more

This star is just based on the experience. Went in there with my boyfriend on Sunday Evening around 6:30 and it was a hot day, line to the door......we expected it. There is a sign mid way through, saying they apologize for the wait but they are SLOW. We waited almost 45 min. The frustrating thing is that when you get to the front, they have the signs tucked on the sides with the flavors blanked out of what they are out of. I get that they do not want to deter customers from leaving with all the flavors they are out of but they should really make them more visible to everyone in line. It sucks to get to the front after 45 minutes and see what they DO NOT have. How is a place called snow monster when they only have 3 choices of snow flavors and only 5 to begin with! They do not even have fruity flavors when they were down to 3, they had green tea, thai tea and milk. I wanted mango but they were out. I got green tea, it was good but why not just get one of the green teas to drink. Then I was excited about cotton candy as a topping but guess what!?! After 45 min. of waiting, I get told the cotton candy machine was broken. Such a fail. My boyfriend got horchata ice cream on an oreo cookie, which was good. The cookie had the right texture of chewiness and crunch but he was in line for a shaved snow as well and was not feeling milk and tea flavors. I work on 2nd St and will definitely late my coworkers know to enter at their own risk and just to be prepared, that the long line means a very long wait, plus possible disappointment. read more
