    Hot Chicken Flavor $14.99
    Cathrin P C.

Mini Potstickers is a tiny place that seems to be super on trend so be prepared ride a wait. Service was nice. They try their best to get everyone served quickly. We ordered a list of items to try and I will skip to the bottom line -- everything tastes the same except to the mini potstickers, which was very flavorful and too easy to pop all 12 in your mouth without sharing. The hot chicken flavor "burrito" is also good but you need to eat this immediately, otherwise it'll get soggy. Price point is a little high for what you get so I this is more just hype: Hot Chicken Flavor $14.99 Chongqing Spicy noodle $15.99 Mini pan fried pork bun $13.99 Sichuan Dan Dan noodle $15.99 Three Flavor Dumpling(12) $11.99 Mushroom and Fish Dumpling Soup(10) $11.99 Pork - Mushroom & Shepherd's Purse Wonton (12) $12.99

Was really excited to try this place after seeing Chef Melissa King post about it on IG but i thought it was just ok. The restaurant itself is pretty small inside and there are two tiny tables outside but you have to order to-go. They have a self service kiosk for to-go orders too. We tried the mini pan fried pork buns, the beef noodle soup, and a jianbing with chicken and beef (you get to pick two meat options). The mini pork buns were pretty oily but did have a good amount of soup inside them. The beef noodle soup had a really strong star anise flavor that i personally am not a fan of but my mom liked it. The jianbing was pretty soggy and hard to eat. The chicken and beef were sort of like lunch meat slices with shredded lettuce and some hot sauce. Wouldn't order it again but if there's a next time i'd try the burrito instead

Love coming here for a quick lunch. It was super crowded even at 2pm on a Friday afternoon. Biggest complaint was that our table was too small. It's fun to eat the mini potstickers (aka shang jeen bao) and the xiao loong bao was decent. Juicy and the filling tender not dry. Sorry forgot to take a pic of the Shanghai beef noodle

We came by Mini Potstickers to try their signature dish and got an order of mini potstickers and jianbing (Chinese burrito) with sausage and chicken. I also wanted the Shanghai style tofu pudding but they they were sold out for the day. The mini potstickers were yummy with a good amount of soup inside considering how small they are. It's fun to eat in one bite and I can see why this would be a great to-go snack. I do think they're on the oily side and would still prefer regular shengjianbao. The jianbing was pretty good as well - I like the thin crispy cracker layered inside for crunch and it had a good kick from the chili sauce. It felt a bit odd that the chicken they use is a thinly sliced deli meat chicken but I surprisingly liked the inclusion of lettuce and one is large enough to share between 2 people. Overall solid meal, we were full from just sharing the 2 items as they're pretty carb heavy and while it didn't quite live up to the expectations of the snack foods I love in China, it still hit the spot. We did experience couple of small mishaps like our server accidently added on an item that we then got corrected once the order slip came and we asked for no cilantro in the jianbing but still got cilantro. They're busy for sure but the service felt pretty messy even for a casual spot.

Newish addition to Irving and very yummy. I liked that the spicy noodle soup dish was actually spicy, and the dumplings and potstickers were very juicy with great texture. 5/5 would eat again - very friendly service too.

San Francisco resident and Top Chef alum and All-Star winner, Melissa King, popped up on my IG feed recommending this place a couple of weeks ago. I quickly bookmarked the place and on Monday, March 16th, after walking the dogs at Golden Gate Park, I decided that this would be a nice birthday treat for myself and the wifey. Of course, I had to get the Mini Potstickers (12 pieces for $12.99). I also ordered the Chinese Burrito ($13.99) and Three Flavor Dumpling (12 pieces of pork, shrimp and chives for $10.99). And yes, these three items were all featured on King's IG account. I wasn't dining in, so I ordered from their kiosk conveniently located at the main entrance. Even though it was a Monday, and almost an hour before closing time, it was still packed and busy. My anticipation for the food was slowly intensifying as I overheard a lady leaving and uttered, "That was delicious." Luckily, I was able to entertain myself by watching the auntie in front of the restaurant creating the Chinese Burritos on a crepe maker. The process was mesmerizing as she would spread the batter to make the base until it gets to the right consistency. Then she added the egg, meat, onions, cilantro, pork floss, layers of crispy wonton and some hoisin sauce to balance everything together. Yes, I was very entertained and further intensified my anticipation. Once I received them, I skipped (I imagined it in my mind skipping) to the car to show the wifey the goodies. Drove to a shaded parking (cause it was hot) and enjoyed another fine car dining experience. We started with the Chinese Burrito and boy oh boy...it did not disappoint. Nice crispy, crunchy exterior and layers and layers of delicious textures and flavors. But it was also surprisingly light yet fulfilling. Then I popped a Mini Potsticker into my mouth and this thing literally was bursting inside full of flavor. Biting into this golden piece of nugget released an explosion so magnificent and unexpected that it filled my tastebuds with joy. We're all grown adults here, get your mind out of the gutter. You were expecting me to mention something else? Yes, I was thinking it. Wink Wink. And last but not least, the Three Flavor Dumpling was also legit. The light texture with the perfect combination of pork, shrimp and chives worked harmoniously like a waltz on ice being performed by Alysa Liu. It came with some vinegar and chili oil, which just elevated the whole thing together. I felt like poppin' my collar and dancin' to LaRussell's "I'm from Da Bay" anthem. Chef Melissa King's recommendation did not disappoint as there were no misses, but all hits. And BTW...they've had that "Grand Opening" sign for 3 years and counting. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Came here for lunch on a weekday and there was no wait, which made it a super easy stop. Parking was a bit tricky at first, but if you look around the nearby residential streets it's manageable. The mini sheng jian bao were the highlight -- really juicy on the inside with a nice crispy bottom. I also tried a few of their other dumplings and they were all very tasty, with good flavor and texture overall. Everything felt freshly made and consistent. Overall a solid spot if you're craving dumplings, and I'd definitely come back to get the sheng jian bao again.

Solid dumpling spot that definitely filled the satisfaction! Will definitely come back here again for the mini pot stickers (Literally to DIE for!) it's so good that I'll be ordering from here just for this to go!! The wait is definitely worth it but on the weekends, it'll probably be a longer wait for a table as it's almost like a newer hole in the wall vibe. The only thing that barred my experience was the service; while the food was divine and delicious, we were served the wrong dishes two times and were missing an order. Part of the reasoning could be that they sat us with another party in the same table?... Eventually it got emptier later on so the other party moved. we were patient and didn't mind the mix ups but there was no assurance on their end. On to the foodie reviews.... -Mini potstickers: come here for this and this alone wowwwwwwww! Juicier than a xiao long bao, the scallion butter garnishings made for a perfect combination. -Chicken & corn dumplings Pretty tender, sweet notes from corn with the salty bouncy bite of ground chicken! -jiang bong (Chinese burrito) with pork floss, lettuce egg, chicken / sausage. Good as an appetizer but there is definitely a place on Taraval street known for pancakes and rolls like these! Good flavor profile from sweet, crunchy, nutty, and savory. -braised beef noodle soup Hearty, sweet, savory, and bouncy noodle to pair with! Pretty fair for its price point!

We walked by and saw some people waiting outside so we thought we would give a try even though on a full stomach! We have been looking for Jian Bing in Bay Area after trying the best one in Portland. It was a little different but still tasted good. The portion is big with lots of fillings. It takes a skilled person to eat without making a mess. They also have a similar one called Chinese Burrito. I will try it next time to see if it's easier to eat. The mini potstickers is bite size and everyone seems to order it. It's not as crispy probably because it was in a Togo container. But the flavor was good. I think it will be even better to dine in store. They have other items on menu that I would want to come back for next time!

I am always looking for an easy potsticker dumpling location that I can pop into off 19th. I had seen pictures of the really cute dumplings that I would call "gyoza" and this place calls them mini bao. They are mini dumplings. You can see them making them fresh as you walk up. There is a digital ordering menu on the right hand wall, but that is only for to go orders. I accidentally ordered there, but was wanting to eat there so they quickly found me a table in the back, which was great & super comfortable. They offer you tea or water even though I ordered a soda plus my dumplings. The table has soy, vinegar and chili oil to add to your dumplings. There are many pictures in the back for the noodles and other things they offer and specials on the higher wall. I will definitely be back to try the noodles and get these dumplings again they arrived promptly nicely charred yet soft & delicious. These were like a mood lifter and came with fresh minced green onions or garlic chives. These people working there are very friendly and attentive. If you are nearby definitely get these to go! Such a great "late-forgot to eat lunch meal" or "can't wait for dinner meal!" I believe you can order frozen to take home. Ask!

Came here for a weekend lunch when Yuanbao Jiaozi was too full and was sadly disappointed with the meal. The best thing here is definitely the mini pan fried pork buns, which have a good crisp and flavor. Then it kind of was downhill from there. The wontons were so-so and the celery appetizer we got was disastrous -- it was full of clumps of salt and actually inedible. This almost never happens but had to send it back to wash the salt off to make it edible :( The shandong pancake 煎饼 was also very mushy and flavorless. I'm now convinced there's no good jianbings in SF (go to Flushing for good ones!). Probably won't be back sadly.

We ordered the beef noodle soup, scallion pancakes, and mini potstickers. The beef noodle soup has a nice strong and herbal flavor, noodles were chewy, and beef was tender and flavorful. The scallion pancakes are a bit thicker than normal with a nice crispy outer shell. The mini potstickers were slightly crispy on the outside and soupy on the inside. The restaurant is a bit small but pretty busy. Staff is nice and attentive.

Came here at 11:30 on a weekday and it was packed. We waited a few min for someone to leave. By 12pm the first rush had cleared. Asian locals were the majority of the customers. We got two mini dumplings, the Chinese burrito, and the Shanghai wonton. I would rate the dumplings and burrito a 5 and the wontons a 3. Service was efficient. Wontons were a bit too thick skinned for my liking. I was debating if we wanted to get the soup dumplings, but decided against it. Maybe next time. They also have a variety of boiled dumplings.

We ordered the kumquat umeshu highball and the lemon oolong highball and really enjoyed, quite refreshing. We ended up getting the small squab, lamb skewer, Mapo spaghetti, and eggplant. I liked that they had a small squab option which was perfect for two people. The meal started with complimentary cucumbers and peanuts snacks perfect paired with a drink. Everything was delicious but if I pick a favorite, I think it would be the eggplant. The lamb was very tender and flavorful. It's a small restaurant so I would probably only come with 2-4 people. Servers were friendly and accommodating. Food came quickly and dishes had beautiful presentation. We shared the chili crisp pig head, clay pot rice with Chinese sausage and bacon, scallop vermicelli, and XO escargot with milk bread. I enjoyed the free bites of roasted peanuts and smashed cucumbers. Chili crisp pig head was good but got a little too oily immediately. The slices were really thin and there were a bunch of good textures from the chili crisp and the veggies but was a little heavy due to sitting in plate of oil. Clay pot rice didn't stand out to me that much, the tong ho on top helped cut the heaviness at first but there were only ~5 leaves so it ended up being a little too saucy and heavy. I also would've appreciated more toppings in the clay pot rice and rice also didn't get scorched despite leaving it there for most of the meal. Scallop vermicelli wasn't bad, but definitely felt overpriced for essentially 1 piece of scallop and 3-5 bites of vermicelli. Last, the XO escargot with milk bread was unique but also ultimately too oily. The escargot sat in a pool of oil/butter/fats which got a bit too much too. I will say the flavor was definitely there though and the texture of escargot was good. The milk bread was great, smelled fresh and sweet with a soft crunch. Overall I think it was a fun experience to dine here and no regrets, but none of the dishes stood out to me too much in particular to where I'd be running back.

Stopped by Palette Tea House with The Kid after FoodieLand thinking we were just coming for tea... and ended up having a full experience. We sat at the communal high-top table in the center of the restaurant, which has a small pond built into it with little goldfish and even a tiny rubber duck sitting on the rock formation -- such a cute detail and definitely adds to the ambiance. Our server Ken was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended the Iron Goddess tea, which ended up being excellent. The Kid ordered the Milk Aroma Oolong, which surprisingly tasted almost like milk tea even though it's just brewed tea. Each tea comes with its own kettle, and Ken even came back to refill the hot water for us. For food, we ordered the Wagyu Beef Fried Rice, which was a huge portion and easily shareable. Very flavorful and well prepared. We also tried the Sichuan Seafood Dumplings and the Iberico Pork Dumplings, both of which were delicious. One order is definitely enough to share. The dumplings come with several dipping sauces including soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, hot mustard, and a cilantro-based sauce that had a slightly sweet, horseradish-like flavor that really stood out. Service throughout the meal was amazing. Even without a reservation, we were seated immediately. I order my item, the chicken wings and item to share: the pan-fried dumplings, while my partner ordered one of the noodle soups. She comes back later and points out that the noodle soup has soy - much apperciated because people sometimes share, etc. And I said it was just for my partner. -- The chicken wings were plump, crispy, the first two were 'heathly', didn't taste the salt, and the rest were packed with flavor. If you're looking for consistency there is a #1 spot in Chinatown for chicken wings which I will not disclose in this review. But, otherwise, for flavor - I like it here. My partner said he didn't find the ones here oily but I said the bottom ones were a little and I did enjoy it. The panfried dumplings - the meat was succulent and delicious, I didn't think there was enough soup, these ones are smaller than other places, but the meat is massive. They were good, not my favorite ever, but I think the meat was the best hands-down anywhere. - It was very busy with perhaps locals and tourists. The table on our left were these two white men in the architeture field - super vulgar and sexist talking about people they don't like, it would defintely be an HR red flag. And then to the corner on the right, there was this little family who hadn't had soup dumplings before - the grown kids ate with their hands and the parents with forks (I love to see people trying new things), I didn't see all of this going on but I asked my partner who kept looking over.. Yes, my partner was judging you but kudos to trying new things however it is. - For large parties - you'll have to wait awhile.
