The yummiest meat patties! Jerk chicken and spicy beef
    Shayla B.

Every time I stop by this Minto's, I'm always like "Damn, I need to review this place!" So, here I am...FINALLY getting to it. Love, love, looove me some Minto's! I've been to one other location on Franklin street, but this location has actually been my go-to. I come here for the meat patties and the Big Bamboo canned Sea Moss. When I'm having a craving, I'll often drive to this market on my lunch break to get my fix. The only thing is, they don't always have the patties. It's best to call beforehand but... sometimes they don't even answer the phone. I like to just show up there anyways because I love perusing the market and grabbing random snacks. They've got all kinds of Caribbean snacks and spices. They also sell frozen patties in bulk that you can heat up for later. They switch up the meat patty flavors pretty often, so don't come here expecting to get one specific flavor. Also, this location is a market and not a juice bar or restaurant like their other locations. But, it still has a lot to offer. Service is hit or miss and really depends on who's working that day. Grateful that this market is so close to my job because it always hits the spot when I'm having a craving for meat patties.

This is a great little find! The only place I have seen that sells scotch bonnet peppers! They have so many sauces, marinades, and spices. Plus they sell frozen and fresh beef patties. I got the chicken, beef, and vegetable. The chicken was curry flavored and was so good. It was my first time having one other than beef. The vegetable one was not my favorite and I think I will try the spinach one instead next time. The beef was excellent and I will definitely go back for more. They sell a ton of these fresh patties so if you need a lot I would call ahead of time.

I moved to the Bay Area from Miami Beach. I miss being able to grab Jamaican food and condiments from almost anywhere. Really love this place, they carry frozen meats (ox tail, fish, goat), veggies, and they also carry frozen patties they sell in bulk. The highlight is they also cook the patties in store and serve them daily. They usually have a few options chicken, beef, and veggie. I would arrive early 11-12 so there variety to chose from. This is a family owned business and they've been in the area for some time. Please support local businesses like this so that I may enjoy patties through the week!!!

I fell in love with Jamaican patties many years ago and haven't found anywhere near by that sold them. Found this little hole in the wall gem on yelp and man was it worth the side trip to find them! They don't have a lot on hand so we bought some beef patties frozen to go. 30 minutes at 350 and these were absolutely amazing. The crust was fluffy, the filling was flavorful with a nice kick. I will definitely be coming back. $2.25 per patty! The store had lots of interesting spices but the line grew pretty quick and I wanted to try the patties so I didn't buy any thing else. Next time!

The food hits the spot especially after being away from the East Coast. The place is costly, but what isn't these days.

No patties, no scotch bonnet peppers = wasted trip. It looked like everything else was stocked though. Just wish it had those two items.

I had prepared red envelopes to express appreciation for your hardworking staff, reflecting our long-standing business relationship. Upon arrival, I was pleased to see that your company had arranged a small buffet for employees. The warehouse staff were polite and exchanged festive greetings, creating a positive atmosphere. This reflected well on management and is worth acknowledging. However, an incident that followed severely disrupted what had been a pleasant morning. I must clearly identify that the staff member involved is the senior female employee from the back department responsible for vegetables senior lady ! This day she was standing their cut pork for customer and employee! she refused to provide proper portions to my employee, who was waiting in line appropriately. Instead, she directed her to take leftover scraps filled with excessive bone fragments. When I calmly asked for clarification, this staff member responded with a cold, impatient, and hostile attitude, demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism and basic respect. My employee feels like homeless need get her food ! As long-term customers and fellow business owners who consistently support your company, we expect fairness and respect, particularly during a festive occasion meant to reflect goodwill. As business operators ourselves, we understand that management culture directly affects reputation. What we witnessed today raises serious concerns regarding internal service standards and supervision. I respectfully request that management review this matter seriously and reinforce professional training to ensure equal and respectful treatment for all customers moving forward.

We shop there occasionally (three-four times a year). Can't say much about owner(s) or employees as I never interacted much other than "in out, bing bang" and that's it. I didn't notice or experience any rude or "strange" behavior, neither from customers nor employees, otherwise it would've been one star just like all those other reviews (I rarely give five stars to businesses). Also I noticed during my brief shopping visits that other patrons at that moment were from different cultures, speaking different languages, and from different ethnic backgrounds. Truly a diverse and multicultural environment. Finally to Abigail C.: Maybe you should take your rowdy, sugar hopped-up kids to the park to play or spend more time teaching them good manners. Don't be shifting your shortcomings as a parent to others around you. *I am not related to this business owner(s) and am not an everyday/"regular" visitor but reviewers with low self-esteem and an inferiority complex should consider some kind of therapy or even learning a thing or two about different cultures, or perhaps learning a different language before labeling people as racist, bigots, homophobes or any kind of "phobes".

The pistachio cream cake and ricotta and pistachio cake sound good too, so many desserts. They also have Mitchell's ice cream. Although there is a sound effect that goes off when you step in the door so the owner or staff must've known when I came in, and they also looked up when a few other people went in and out of the store, I was standing at the counter for about 5 mins before they realized I was waiting to order, so that was awkward. I realized the register is set up for grocery store and not like a restaurant so there wasn't a way to enter a tip for the drink order when paying with credit card; they only have a jar for cash tips. It says minimum $5 for credit or debit or they will charge you $0.50. The owner/employee is pretty no nonsense in demeanor. I ordered a $5 hot mocha for 16 oz. The prices are pretty good for hot drinks. For some reason, for iced drinks, which have a smaller selection, the price jumps up significantly between the 12oz and 16oz size. You can get up to 20oz size for the hot drinks. The coffee itself was pretty good, though, and I liked the amount of chocolate in it. Not bad for drinks, you just might have to try to speak up to get the owner's attention if they are busy washing dishes or not looking your way / not at the register.
