Thisi place has only been open for 2 weeks, so don't mistake the 4 stars. I'm sure all kinks will be worked out in a few weeks. The restaurant, bar and lounge are decorated cool and hip. The menu has a good variety of options, but isn't to overly "foodie". You need to take the elevator to the penthouse to access Mirador. The 3 floors below are wonderful high end shopping for all. upon arriving on the 4th floor, the lounge is to the right, check-in for restaurant around corner to left. The restaurant itself is quite loud during peak hours, but if looking for that, it's fun and great people watching. You can also eat in the lounge and bar, which are much more quaint and quiet. Great tomato soup, and faro bowl. The apple pie dessert is to die for, even if your full. My only complaint was the service could've been a bit quicker. But the managers are trying hard and teaching the wait staff how to serve well with great attention to detail. If in a rush, go somewhere else anyway, this is a great place to hangout, and enjoy. One Star for Service, Anselmo was great, knew the menu, very gracious server. Food was OK, we were there on a Saturday Night and they had run out of the Seafood Entrees, so all they had was chicken and pork, and they also had run out of the Cabernet bottle, very strange for a new restaurant to NOT have these items on a Saturday night, felt like i was grabbing bbq at 4pm when all they have is leftovers! A modern, upscale setting for lunch. A similar experience to what you would expect from the Zodiac, but with a more airy ambiance and less selection on the menu. The restaurant is newly opened, popular, and not terribly large, so reservations are necessary. I went for lunch with a couple girlfriends and we had reservations for 12:30 p.m. We were seated promptly and all ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. Very tasty, and also very messy thanks to the avocado and coleslaw. It comes with fries or a side salad. The fries are DELISH--a must try. The side salad had a great assortment of exquisite greens and was equally tasty. I should note that I ordered an iced tea with my meal and it was a whopping $5! Won't make that mistake again. Atmosphere and service were nearly flawless but had some issues with the food. The whipped ricotta was amazing (WOW!), eggs were good, super fresh and soft, but a little overpriced i felt. The steak was a huge letdown and looked nothing like the steaks photos i saw posted on google maps by other people. It was undercooked (asked for medium rare) and did not have much flavor. The giant uncooked leaf on the plate only made it worse and did not like the mole sauce at all. The beef tartare was mostly good but the shredded lettuce on top was terrible and only took away from the dish. The cocktails were good but not great, most needed a bit more sugar (and we are a zero carb/sugar pople all but 1 day a week). Your version of the old fashioned was impressive and the green pepper drink was good but needed more sugar and more heat to balance. The dessert was the meringue berry dish which was disappointing as well. We only consume sugar/carbs one day a week and are super sensitive to it, so the fact that we found them lacking sugar is highly significant. read more

Went with the intentions of just having some fancy champagne for a friends birthday, but stayed for dinner because of the incredibly friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. Definitely sit on the patio if it's a nice day! Great downtown views. Deviled eggs (came with 4) were amazing- some of the best I've had in Dallas. Tator tots were also delicious but different than your typical tator tot- in the best way! Orecchiette was super fresh and tasty. Junior, one of the chefs, even came out to serve it to us! First CBD, then Americano and now Mirador. Mr. Headington has hit all the balls out of park. The restaurant decor is eclectic, the food is delicious and the staff is extremely courteous. In our case the staff members Martha and Rebecca went above and beyond their duty to keep the guests happy. One of the guests at our table wanted herbal tea and they did not have it at the restaurant so they thought outside the box and got it from CBD which is across the street. This is what you call great service and this is what makes dinners and events memorable. I want to thank the entire team at this restaurant for a great job. At lunch time their servers do a great job as well. This is why I frequent these establishments. read more

Took a long time to get a waiter and they got orders wrong and brought the wrong plates to us and also charged us for the wrong bottle of wine (they promptly fixed the tab though). We went for early Valentine's dinner on Saturday. As soon as we were seated, overheard the other table next to us also complain they had to wait forever for drinks they ordered. First of all they brought two lunch menus and one dinner menu. Courses came out with awful timing, some people in my (party of 3) got their entrees 5 minutes after the other two. Just phenomenal. The Mirador treated the three of us (Mom, Dad, me) like gold on Mother's Day for brunch! From even before the moment we walked in the door... the valet, the hosts, the waiter, the rest of the staff, and even the patrons around us were kind, friendly, funny and helpful. The location is great. We sat inside but the outside looks perfect for a date night. All the cocktails we had were pretty good. We had the tuna crudo and whipped ricotta for appetizers which we all loved. For our entrees, we got the orecchiette, gnocchi, and shrimp and grits. We were disappointed with the orecchiette. The sauce had an amazing tangy taste, but there was barely any sauce on the noodles... because there is no sausage or ragu added, it came out pretty bland. If they added, more sauce and meat on top - I would get it again. We were all kinda split on the gnocchi. A couple of us also thought it was a little bland just because of the texture of the rye gnocchi. The other half loved it and thought it was extreme full tasteful. Weird. Lastly, we got the shrimp and grits. Wow - that is amazing. I personally don't like shrimp so I just got the grits and they were some of the best I've ever had. Overall, the atmosphere and service is great and some of the dishes were really yummy so it makes me think that maybe we just ordered wrong on some. I think it's really overpriced, so if I went back again, it would have to be a special occasion and I would try a different dish. read more

Our waiter, Chad was great. He set us at ease in a very formal atmosphere that we were less then used to. The food was delicious, but of course expensive. As the restaurant's name suggests, the view was great. Mirador was a great place to have an anniversary, if you're willing to spend a bit (our bill was $145 with ~25% tip, and we did not even go all-out on food and drinks). 4 stars because even the sparkling water was wildly expensive ($8 a bottle!). read more

The decor is la la la.It was a special occasion and Mirador was a great place to celebrate.We sat and waited for 15 minutes for someone to come greet us and take our drink order.Finally the hostess came over to take our drink order!She was a team player! .We waited another 15 minutes for our drinks?The food was fantastic. We started with a crab dip and ceasar salads.(the best!) The entrees were top notch.Needless to say, we waited another 15 minutes for our second cocktail.Alcohol is their money maker and they need to step it up a notch.Our server, Allie was great but seemed clueless about delay of our cocktails.I would definitely come to Mirador.But they need to work out the cocktail thing..is the bar too far from the restaurant? Wonderful fine dining establishment. Not only are the food and cocktails delicious but the service is seamless - doesn't matter who your server is because everyone there has an eye on the tables, your beverages, food etc. I've been here for cocktails and for lunch. Probably one of the worse dining experience I have had in Dallas. Sunday brunch and no crowd. Waited for waiter to acknowledge us; waited a longer time between appetizers and entree. Food was average and some even sub-par. The restaurant is contemporary and beautiful but food is not much and certainly there's better in Dallas - probably even in Wichita Falls. We went to celebrate a special occasion but we will definitely be back on a more regular basis. Not only is the food outstanding but the entire staff is the best we've ever encountered - knowledgeable, friendly, unobtrusive and very hip. Each of our party of 4 ordered something different - fish, chicken, salad, different sides, different appetizers, different desserts so we shared samples of them all. The preparation for each dish is unique with complex flavors unlike anything anywhere else in the Metroplex. Absolutely amazing dining experience! The space is so wonderful-- airy, bright, and fresh. It's perfect for a girls' brunch with it's colorful décor and delicious menu. Based on the reviews here, I ordered the deviled eggs. It was probably the most amazing deviled egg I've had in my life! We also ordered the cod cake (which is like a crab cake, but with cod). The burgers and fries were also legit. The fries were piping hot and crispy on the outside. My boyfriend had a bloody mary, which must've been good because he ordered two in the one hour we were there. I definitely come again! read more

What a wonderful addition to Dallas! The decor is modern chic, vibrant and exceptionally curated, just like FortyFiveTen which surrounds it. The food is a culinary experience for those who appreciate incredible attention to detail in every dish. The Tomato Soup was one of the best I've had, the Panko topping on the Oriechette elevated already delightful pasta and the Apple Tart was a delicious finale. Our server, Chad, made the experience even more enjoyable. His knowledge and passion for food were evident in his enthusiasm for discussing each dish with us. When I inquired about the garnish in the Botanist cocktail, Chad brought us several Holy Basil leafs on a dish to taste. He is fantastic at what he does. Love this restaurant. Had a vendor lunch Friday (my fourth visit) and every detail has been attended to on each visit. Deviled eggs are excellent, and as a matter of fact, all food is wonderful. The dining room is bright and artwork interesting. The wrap around patio is really fun - to sit and watch passers by. Everyone is super nice, from the bartender to the hostess, to the servers. Excellent location for folks downtown who don't have time for an "off campus" lunch and have been to Zodiac one too many times. A little pricey but well worth it to be pampered and have such fine cuisine. Not the place for a private convo as tables are very close together, but the noise level is tolerable considering... Great new restaurant in downtown Dallas. Cool vibe, super service and top notch food. Ate dinner last night on the patio overlooking Main Street. Downtown Dallas has grown up over the last decade and Mirador may be the crown jewel. Creamy deviled eggs, unique Caesar Salad, solid mains, and incredible Tater Tots (a personal favorite). Save room for the Lemon Pavlova for dessert - possibly the best ending to a meal (not involving chocolate) in the city. The people watching was an added bonus.
