Miss Cafe is an adorable little eatery in downtown Seattle, right on 1st Street between Pike & Pine Street (part of Pike Market), serving delicious Turkish food & drink! I am not 100% certain, but it certainly seemed and felt like a loving family-run restaurant. The service, care, knowledge (needed assistance chosing gluten-free), and quality were all memorable. There is limited seating inside, so would recommend their cozy outdoor patio if you need more room. We definitely enjoyed the lamb plate and Turkish delights-- can't recommend the lamb plate more! We stopped by this cute Turkish cafe late afternoon and we were greeted warmly. We ordered a mozzarella and veggie pides. They made it to order and served it piping hot right from the oven. They were big and the base was thinner than flat bread and was soft but crispy enough to hold the veggies and cheese. There were mushrooms, broccoli, onions, parsley veggies. The mozzarella was more cheesy with some tomatoes. No tomato sauce on base. The pides came with tzatiki sauce which went well together. I wish there was some chilli pepper that I could have used. They had tabasco and sriracha sauce but it was odd combination. Hubby had Turkish coffee and it was strong and tasted great. The cafe is small and it is mostly self serve but the staff is friendly. Seattle is a melting pot through and through. And when it comes to food let me just tell you they're keeping up with other big cities and I'm loving it. Miss Cafe offers authentic Turkish bites that leave you longing for more. This is definitely a gem among the Seattle scene. Miss Cafe is a simple, small establishment with just a few tables and if you're not familiar with the downtown area ( which I don't even know how locals are because there are so many food places) it's easy to miss. The service is friendly and the menu is simple and straight forward but something for meat lovers as well as vegans alike. For lunch we ordered the Döner Pide and Manti to share and let me just tell you I had flashbacks from some of the Turkish food I've had in Germany over the years. Simple put, amazing and dance worthy. Turkish food is so delicious and with the help of Yelp I'm happy I was able to stumble upon this place. I'm Armenian and our food is similar. I grew up eating Turkish. Not only is this not authentic but it's low quality and overpriced. The owner wrote a response on my review. I saw the same response to other people on other sites. This is a lie and I challenge the owner to post the video. I am contacting the board of health. I'd LOVE TO SEE THIS VIDEO, LOL!!!! The only thing it'll show is the vile disgusting unsanitary habits of the cooks. Also I say patiently withy mother and daughter waiting after the food had to be remade since they did it wrong. We were just walking around nearby and happened to stop by Miss cafe since they were open at the time and had outdoor eating. The woman was taking orders and making them. She was so sweet and gave us good insight on what are the popular menu items. I went with the manti which was good but the donner kabob pizza was amazing. And since my friend loves pizza she was excited to try pide, a Turkish flatbread with toppings. After recommendations from the friendly employee, my friend ordered the Super Mixed Pide, which had ground beef, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and mushrooms. I ordered the Meatballs Plate. While we sat down until our orders were ready, we could see that everything was freshly made. And it smelled so good, which made us even hungrier! Since there was only one other party dining inside, it didn't take long for the food to be ready. I'm really glad I went with the Meatballs Plate because it was delicious! I loved that the meatballs were cooked in a light tomato base sauce, and some roasted veggies with, as all of the flavors together were hearty yet wasn't heavy. Sides for the meatballs were rice and salad. Everything just tasted so fresh. I really liked the roasted veggies with the meatballs, so wished there was more of that instead of the salad. As for my friend, she didn't like her pide as much as she hoped. After taking a slice of her pide I could see why. It wasn't anything I'd crave again. Therefore, I recommend the Meatballs Plate, which was a fantastic dinner! Glad to have Miss Cafe in Pike Place Market. Extra star to start off because they stayed open late for so we could grab a Turkish coffee, technically after closing time! This little gem is located just down from Pike Place Market on 1st Ave and is serving up some really good coffee. We walked by after grabbing dinner and decided to stop in. They were technically closed, but invited us right in and hooked us up - We didn't try the food, though now have plans to! They serve Pides - effectively a cross between a Greek pita and a pizza. They have 7 or 8 options, all do which looked excellent. The coffee was done up just right. Deep, chocolatey and with a nice layer of coffee silt on the bottom of the cup. It was a lovely way to end the evening! The place has plenty of seating including some outdoor space and a nice bar like area against the outer window. Made for some perfect people watching! Miss Cafe was one of the few places still open when we arrived late at the Pike Place area and I suppose it was a blessing in disguise! We didn't know that Seattle closes early with most businesses done for the day at 8 pm or earlier. This quaint little cafe near the Pike Public Market serves authentic Turkish dishes and although our knowledge about the cuisine is limited to 'hrm sounds good let's try that', we were guided by our friendly order taker (presumably the restaurant owner) on which to try and how to eat it. We went ahead and ordered the Lahmacun, which is baked flatbread topped with minced beef, minced vegetables, and herbs on the side that includes onions, garlic, tomatoes, red peppers, and parsley. I can best describe it as very similar to a thin and delicate pizza topped with delicious meat and seasoned well. We were also told after our server saw us eating the Lahmacun like pizza that we should top the dish with the side garnish and roll the entire "pizza" and eat it like a burrito to enjoy the flavors fully. It was a very satisfying meal and we plan on coming back the next day to try other menu items like the kebabs, pide, manti, fresh Turkish delights, and of course Turkish coffee! read more

Cute little Turkish cafe near pike place. There's not much seating inside or out for large parties. You order at the front then take a seat. The guy working there didn't really know a lot about the menu and unfortunately had a hard time understanding us. Two other parties ordered at the same time as us and all our orders got mixed up. Our vegan pide was given to the wrong table and we had to wait an extra few minutes for our food. The lady was pretty nice and caught the mistake and was very apologetic. The place seems understaffed or maybe just needs more competent workers for when they get a rush of people. She did give us a free Turkish coffee because of the mix up. The only reason this place gets a fourth star is because the food is dang good. A slightly fluffier flatbread topped with cheese mushrooms tomatoes bell peppers and potato. The flavors were good and it came with hot sauce and yogurt dip. I would come back here in hopes that I get better service to try other pides. read more

We tried the veggie pide and chicken pide and I must say they were delish. This was the first time I had pide and loved it absolutely. It was so light and filling with decent amount of filling in it. When you take a bite of pide the cheese along with veggies of veggie pide burst inside your mouth. I loved the chicken pide too. The chicken pieces were not too big and the edgy crust and crispness of the pide along with the smooth tahini is to die for. I am a big fan of this place for pides and love it absolutely. We had the Lamachu which reminded me of a thin crust pizza, but with a very crunchy crust. Served right out of the oven, it was perfectly hot and surprisingly light given there's no cheese/marinara sauce so you're getting a lot of the flavor from the seasoned ground beef and other spices on the "pizza".
