Not as many toppings or yogurt options as other Froyo places, but I think it's cheaper and the service from the cashier was good. Atmosphere if very hole in the wall vibes, but overall an okay place for a last minute froyo craving. Came here this month and got 2 croissants and 1 donut and threw them all away after take my first bite of my croissant there was a literal piece of METAL INSIDE. The back must be kept extremely dirty and unorganized if they're this incompetent. Always see this place and unfortunately decided to try it for the first time and only time because I am never going back and wouldn't recommend anyone coming here. I called ahead and ordered 7 dozen assorted donuts. When I arrived she put the boxes together so fast! The donuts were a really good selection of assortment and they were so fresh! I got them on a Tuesday and the donuts were still fresh on Thursday. She even included Apple fritters and bear claws! Also, she threw in 5 bags of donut holes. We are so grateful! They have places to sit so it's a popular hangout for the local Mexican community, and they family that owns and runs this speak Spanish. it's funny when they look at me. Once the mom asked me what I wanted in Spanish, and I spoke back in English, though I know enough Spanish to get into trouble. I like that they have a lottery reading machine since I don't trust convenience store workers telling you if you won or not...not after that 60 Minutes segment on how lots of them habitually lie. Anyway, it's near some of my favorite places to hang out, so I am a regular. And my favorite donut, when they have it...is Red Velvet. It's not as evenly textured as a cake, but delicious anyway. We are regulars there and every time we go and the older lady is working there, she either OVERCHARGES you, gives you the WRONG items or BOTH. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt...until today. I watched her grab each donut we ordered as i asked for each one to make sure. She started taking a while after we completed the order so i double checked the bag. She PURPOSELY grabbed the donut we asked for (i watched her grab it and add it to the order) and pretended to put it in the bag, and then switched it with another donut! Basic variety of donuts, done averagely for the most part. Nothing fancy, nothing unique. One that is done well, their Maple Bar -- savory dough meets sweet, extra-mapley glaze, not heavy or oily. Old-Fashioned is too sweet, light on the buttermilk. Ham-Cheese Croissant is flat, greasy, thin on ingredients. They have a regular group of middle-aged clientele that come here for cheap coffee and and scratcher lottery tickets. It's kind of depressing. Service is adequate, but the owners are definitely not chatty folks. Dining room is dimly lit at night, very basic, even a little sketchy looking. It has a lone flat screen with the news on. It's just not the cheery place I prefer go to for froyo. In fact, I've never seen anyone getting froyo here. It's not a bad donut place, if you're in the area. Best Yeast Raised Donut hands down in Costa Mesa. I don't need to say much more...but I will. I love this is a family business. I would much rather come here than go to an overpriced chain. I've watched the children grow up and now they help run this cute shop. It's always clean. Even when it's packed on a weekend. The donuts are picked up with tongs which I appreciate. I always get a smile and a big "hello, hello" from "Mama" when stepping up to the case. It's nice to be recognized even when it's been a month or more between visits. best donut shop for classic raised donuts and regular coffee in the 92626 area. the coffee is like a cup of diner brewed joe, fresh and strong, with a nice roasty bitterness. all of their raised donuts are moist and fluffy. they do a great job of balancing out the ingredients that goes into the dough. there is a mild yeast flavor that gives the donuts a nice taste as it goes down... really tasty with their coffee. also, the spot is really inexpensive. chain shops in the area don't come close and cost more. read more

Well worth dealing with the semi-aggressive customer service. Miss Donuts is a cheap, tasty place to get some quick (if unhealthy) breakfast, and they serve up a damn fine doughnut as well. I like the Maple Bars and the Chocolate w/ Chocolate Icing & Sprinkles. Nothing extraordinary here, just a good local bakery serving tasty foods. As mentioned before, the Ham & Cheese Croissant (with or without Jalapenos) is my favorite, but there are other fruity options that are quite good as well. Expect a line when you get here during the morning rush. There's so many items to choose from but I like the apple fritters covered in chocolate the most. One bite and I had to get at least 2 more. The droves of people can really mean only one of two things 1. it is some crazy sort of cult that has its weekly meetings in something that resembles a donut shop or 2. these are some really tasty donuts.
