I didnt like what the other place quoted me so decided to shop around. Found Stress free which is a ten minute walk from my house. I started with fluid flush and replacement services. My first appointment was for my transmission fluid. They were performing their free routine inspection and found two problems I didn't even know I had. My battery was on its last legs and they caught the low voltage. The week prior, I thought it was my key fob and just replaced the battery in my key fob. They saved me from being stranded with a dead battery. Then they noticed a giant nail in the inner sidewall if one of my rear tires. I always inspect my tires before I commute every day but never check the inside since I cant see it. Again, saved me from a blow out on the bridge. I agreed to have them replace the tire. They tracked one down from a place in San Jose. Installed same day. The tech did scratch my rim when mounting the tire, as seen in photo. Not to worry. George immediately pointed it out and offered to fix it by outsourcing to have it repainted asap. Oni worked tirelessly with me and around my schedule to complete this task. Even offered me a loaner so I wouldnt be without a car. Very happy with the result and youd never know it was scratched. I brought it back for both coolant flush and brake fluid flush services, as well as my oil change. All three visits had service promotion coupons available. Very happy with the transparency of price, convenience of being open Saturday AND SUNDAY, cleanliness of location and comfortable waiting room if you choose to wait while repairs are being done. This is an honest review to help others who require auto repair. This was my experience at TL…read moreAuto... I walked in and asked for a quote for my WRX, a clutch and hydraulic replacement, and was given an estimate of over $6,000! After doing some research and checking with local Subaru specialists such as PM Autoworks, I found that TL's pricing was nearly double the market rate for both parts and labor. Unfortunately, TL Auto quoted $4,242.99 just for the clutch replacement, WITHOUT a flywheel resurface or a flywheel. PM Autoworks quoted $2,058.09 for the same job WITH an OEM flywheel. In my case, TL Auto is applying HUGE markups on basic OEM hardware. For example, TL auto charges $942.87 JUST for a "Genuine" clutch flywheel, AND $948.94 for a clutch kit, which comes out to $1,891.81 for BOTH. Fortunately, PM Autoworks charges $921.68 for BOTH the OEM clutch and OEM flywheel, and other parts that make up a clutch kit are also included in the price. TL quoted over $1,700 for the replacement of the master/slave cylinders. I was able to source the high-quality Japanese OEM parts (Seiken/Nabtesco) from PartsGeek for $280.10, and PM Autoworks charges 2 hours of labor (inquired after the quote) instead of the 4+ hours implied by TL's quote. By going to PM Autoworks instead of TL Auto, I am saving an HONEST $4,000 for the same work!! In my case, the price difference isn't just a few hundred dollars--it's thousands! If you work hard for your money, I strongly recommend that anyone, especially Subaru owners, AVOID the "general repair" markups at TL Auto. (See attached photos for proof of the price gap.) *** UPDATE*** Just got the work done (and then some) on my WRX by PM Auto. For all the work performed, the total was UNDER $3k! (Invoice in picture). It only took them 6 hours--straight up skills. TL Auto claims their pricing "reflects the quality of parts we use and the confidence we have in the work performed." That's fine, but high quality shouldn't be an excuse to charge an absurd markup for "exceptional service." They also claim their pricing includes complimentary rideshare and free loaner vehicles, yet a friend of mine who had work done there was never offered those services. Let's get one thing straight, PartsGeek is one of the BEST places to get OEM parts at a respectable price. Just because they are a "discount website" doesn't mean they aren't an equivalent comparison. They sell the exact same parts without the massive markup. Some businesses, like TL Auto, clearly don't like it when customers do their research and shop smart. Even more telling: TL Auto failed to admit they overcharged on their estimate for the SAME OEM parts that PM Auto sourced directly from the dealership. I'm sharing this to be transparent about my experience. I don't want others to be robbed by shops like this. I will never take my cars back there, and I'll be advising everyone I know to stay away as well. (Final invoice in the pictures)

He walked me through what the process would involve and initially quoted just over $500. After I mentioned that was a bit outside my budget, he adjusted the price to $450 and explained clearly why he couldn't go lower given the labor involved. No pressure, just transparency. I dropped the car off at 8:15 AM and it was completed around 1 PM. When I returned, Perry again personally inspected the vehicle with me and showed me the results. The paint looks dramatically better -- smooth, uniform, and restored. The heavy spotting is gone and the finish has great clarity. What really impressed me was the integrity beyond the paint correction. Perry noticed uneven wear on my front right tire. Instead of trying to sell me new tires, he explained tire rotation intervals (about every 5,000 miles) and recommended simply swapping the rear right to the front right for now. Given that I replaced all four tires at the same time a few years ago, his recommendation made sense. They completed the swap in about 15 minutes for $39.99. No upselling. No scare tactics. Just practical advice. Overall, I left feeling that I was treated fairly, educated properly, and given honest service. That combination is rare. Highly recommend.
