First of all let me clarify that this place is decorated with a lot of police and fire badges and memorabilia. Police officers, firefighters, or anybody in the emergency life-saving career is likely to go in here and eat. So don't go if you got anxiety against cops, firefighters, and stuff. Now that that is out of the way let's get down to it. As far as the service goes, this is a place that you just walk up to the counter, order, and pay. This barbecue place has some excellent brisket. Of all of the barbecue sauces they offer, the Memphis barbecue sauce is the best one for me. It compliments the smokiness of the brisket. The mac and cheese is a take it or leave it situation because I've had better mac and cheese from other places. Their french fries are top tier. Like Jim Carrey said in Bruce Almighty, "It's good. It's Gooooood." 5 Stars.

Probably the most tender and moist Brisket I have ever had! The ambiance is really nice and the service is quick and friendly. Highly recommend. Everything is made in house. The cornbread is

Everything was packed on a Friday evening while in town for a track meet so we ended up here. We were greeted warmly and the cashier was kind to us newcomers. I've never ordered brisket before but it caught my eye for some reason so I ordered it as a sandwich. I asked if the macaroni and cheese was good and was told emphatically "yes". So I got it. Details in a bit. There were no lids or straws which was a tad strange. You seat yourself and they call your name when your order is ready. And our food was prepared quickly. My "tray" looked good; the three slices of brisket were hanging off of the bun! It had a great smoky flavor, but it wasn't hot, just warm. Sauces are on the table. I chose the Tupelo which was more hot than sweet. The macaroni and cheese was 'meh. It had a breadcrumb topping and macaroni and cheese just isn't supposed to have any topping other than CHEESE!

Came here for the first time and the place was packed for weekday lunch! Ordering was very easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Ordered the Pork Platter and I was pleasantly surprised how fresh and warm it was! The beans and coleslaw were on point! I encourage you to try this place out! It is every bit your incredible American Barbecue! I hope to be back very soon! I highly recommend this place!

Deserves 13 stars :) One of the best BBQ restaurants I have tried! Just amazing. Ribs, pulled pork, briskets, burger, all very good. Best coleslaw, hands down.

It was such a friendly place; we went there with the kids and took my mother there for the 1st time. The staff where friendly. It's a really clean place and well kept wasn't loud which is great. Kids loved looking at all the memorabilia that was there. The food never disappoints.

Great atmosphere, quick service. Food was okay. I ordered the meat sampler with brisket and short ribs. My sides were collard greens and green beans. They have an good selection of sauces right at the table or you can opt for vinegar (also at the table). I chose the Tupelo Honey Heat, which was amazing! The first bite was heavenly and I was certain I would be writing a five-star review. However, as the meal went on, I noticed how salty the beans, brisket, and green beans were. I think someone got carried away with the salt shaker! It was probably the same person who made the lemonade, which was waaaaaaayyy to sweet and reminiscent of diabetes in a cup. I needed to add 40% water to make it just right. The texture of the brisket was almost optimal and though slightly overcooked, it was still tasty and moist. The short rib was mostly cooked well with the exception of one section that was overdone to the point it was burnt, dry, and unfit for consumption. My overall rating is more like 3.7/5. With a few small tweaks and the whole experience would have been 5/5. I would try this place again and hope for more moderation on the salt, time on the grill, and sugar in the lemonade. For now I will attribute this misstep to an overzealous cook and lemonade maker.

Lean brisket, Mac-n-cheese, cornbread, and a trademark Dr. Pepper for the wash down. Many sauce options behind.

YeeHaw! I found myself some good BBQ in Lynchburg. The environment is fantastic. I also love how they openly show their support of Police, Fire, and Military alike with many amazing pictures and patches on the walls. Now on to the good stuff, the food. I got the lean brisket with a side of Mac-n-Cheese. DELICIOUS! They have many sauces to choose from, to which I discovered, mixing is the best policy. You also get a nice slice of corn bread! FINAL VERDICT: A must visit if you love BBQ!

All the sauces are good! Zoom in to see names.

Great to see representation for Korean food where we would least likely expect it…read more The banchan was tasty but weirdly limited (we were only given four for a whole family), teeny tiny portions (each normal-sized banchan dish was not even 1/3 full...come ON!) , and they never got refilled either. The Caucasian waitress did not seem at all familiar with the menu, so that was weird. The food was very good for the most part but could be better. So many options--nice offering! Strangely, the bibimbaps (we had 3 different ones) do NOT include fried egg on top. You have to ask for it and pay extra for it, which is ridiculous. If the cost of eggs hurts you that much, just raise the price. The menu even LISTS egg as an ingredient which makes it more confusing, but that apparently refers to the scrambled eggs that is chopped up inside the dish. Those scrambled eggs were kinda dry. Also, the veggie bibimbop was missing any flavor..had to add some banchan in there to get it up to par. Chicken katsu over rice was decent. Side of cream soup was ok. Waitress had absolutely no idea what ingredients were in it when we asked, AND she did not even offer to find out for us. We asked her to ask in the back and she never did come back with an answer. The beef kimbap/gimbap was really dry somehow. Like maybe the scrambled egg in it or the meat or both were overcooked and the rice not so fresh. Also it was missing flavor...it did not come with sauce or the pictured fish cakes. No sauces were available on the table. I had to steal some sauce from the banchan bowls to help choke it down. Also they're made just HUGE so it takes two bites to eat each and then of course that makes them fall apart. Really pretty to look at though. The miso soup sides were really good--usually at our local place they give us mild egg drop type soup so it was a welcome change. Would we eat lunch here again? Probably, since we just absolutely love Korean food...but we will learn from this experience and order differently next time. The mochi donuts on the way out..the cinnamon sugar ones were hard and dry and much smaller than the other flavors...so that was super weird. We ordered via the kiosk but when we got home we realized the humans got our order wrong so that sucked (the order is printed right there ON THE BOX, come on people) soooo...check the box before you leave!! The donuts could be way better...we usually get them in Newport News and those are bigger, fluffier, and chewier, but this was a decent attempt anyway. Oh, and the bible verse on the insides of the boxes was off putting. Because of that, we will not buy from the donuts/boba shop again. I feel like this place could do better but they're just not striving to, because they have no competition in the area.

Our waitress, I believe her name was Emily, was so sweet and very helpful when it came to deciding what to order. They have a great happy hour menu, which we ordered from. Do not miss the truffle popcorn. I am still dreaming of this! Truffle oil and parmesan cheese on perfectly popped and salted popcorn. We also had the hot honey and Parmesan chicken wings which were crisp and delicious, and a harvest salad. So good. We would be here all the time if we lived close. Do not miss this place if you are in town!

One person in our party said her salad had the best dressing she's ever had. The fried pickles were good. The shrimp was good. One bartender was good. Cons - We walked in and basically weren't sure what to do. There was a woman at we thought was a hostess stand, but she never said anything to us. We finally asked if we needed to check in with her to get seated. We did. But it was kind of weird. One bartender was awful. Never made eye contact. Wouldn't take any orders. Acted like she wanted to be anywhere else. I thought the Caesar salad was ok. It came with lacquered salmon. I would have loved the salmon, but not lacquered. It couldn't be made to order. Ok fine. I ordered it the way it was described. There was nothing lacquered about that salmon. It also was shredded on top of the salad and was maybe two ounces. That's ridiculous. Our server wasn't very helpful and not very attentive. I'm sure many people have had great experiences there, but I'm not sure I would take the time to go back.
