Just so you know: At noon they play the National Anthem, and naturally there is a pause. On to the food: The brisket sandwich was really good. One thing I like about them is they ask if you want the lean cut or moist cut. Basically asking which side of the brisket you want. My opinion, go with moist, which is generally called the fatty side. The fat is actually flavor and let's face facts here, fat isn't as evil as it was a decade. So I get why they don't call it "fatty side", but going with the word "moist" isn't necessary an improvement. Really fast and efficient service. Mac and Cheese is solid too. read more

Consistently good food and service. Very efficient and speedy transactions. I wish they had more side options like fried okra or jalapeños, but maybe that'll come in time. Tonight I had brisket and my wife had chicken. They were both tasty and had good portion sizes. They forgot our potato salad during takeout and we came back for it. Not only did they give us the potato salad but a gift card as well. That was very kind of them! I like that the restaurant supports police, military, and veterans. read more

Solid solid food!! Did I mention the customer service was delightful. Everyone seemed so enthusiastic to serve us, as the place was close to closing and very empty:) I landed on some ribs. That's all I ate and I was super pleased. To add on to some of ten best ribs I have ever had the gentleman behind the counter brought us over some more ribs because he said he didn't like the way the ones we had looked! SCORE. I enjoyed the corn bread as well, I only wish that I had been a little more hungry. My cousins who I was visiting do a couple of dinners apparently and the burger we had earlier was dinner one lol. So I LOVE Mission BBQ, but when we were in Kissimmee Florida over Thanksgiving we decided since we were on vacation, we would get a smoked turkey from them. I want to point out that the actual meat of the turkey was very moist and yummy, but the skin and the rub they used to smoke the turkey was WAY TOO peppery and WAY TOO spicy. Ick! It ruined my pallet. They need to change the rub recipe for this turkey because it was such a big disappointment. I just want to make this clear, this is just a review of the turkey. Had a great dine-in experience! Opted for the 2-meat combo and got the pulled chicken and brisket with fries and cole slaw sides. Chicken was really tender and tasty! Brisket was good (maybe a little dry). Husband also got the jalapeño sausage and it was so good. Food tastes a lot better there than when you take out (I guess this could be true for a lot of places!) It's a quick service restaurant so you order first, grab a seat and food gets delivered to you. I was in the area for lunch when I stopped in at this restaurant based solely on a few yelp reviews. I will say that I am glad that I did. The food is absolutely phenomenal. While everybody has their own personal opinion of barbecue I feel that it was magnificently done. The set up of the restaurant is similar to that of a chipotle. You walk up to the front desk with the menus hanging above them place your order, find a seat and they bring it to you. The only downside I see is that they do not have more local beer. Disclaimer: I am about to compare the bbq to Texas and it isn't necessarily what people like. With that said, I ordered burnt end brisket and it was not good to me. It was dry and kept wet with sauce (which I didn't know what the norm). I normally get mine straight with an option of sauce on the side. The jalapeño cheese sausage was good though.
