Literally some of the best BBQ I have ever had by far. Raised on Smokey, Texas BBQ, and found this place on a whim. 10/10. Super fast service, food was beyond incredible. Staff is so friendly, and we even ended up ordering more because it was so delicious. Definitely going to be coming here at least once a week. The first time was here, I had the brisket and cheddar jalapeno sausage. Both were very moist and yummy. I stopped by again and the brisket was dry, my jaw was hurting after the meal. When the heck are they going to open one of these closer to where I call home? This place is great. I love the theme, the purpose, the mission, and best of all it seems to really live it all. The food is awesome and the pit master is herald is as high as a place as the manager (or maybe he is the manager). I had a brisket sandwich which rivaled anything I have had anywhere else when it comes to brisket. The fountain drink machine allowed for the hand crafting with my own Arnold Palmer with sweet tea. Though it is a "fast food" style place where you order and pickup at the main counter they still actually seem to care about your satisfaction throughout your stay. A quick Yelp search spotted a few potential establishments, but as one of my favorites in the area is a BBQ spot, we opted to come here. What an amazing find. Plenty of parking makes this a breeze, too. The service was prompt, polite, professional, and FAST. The food selection was great - and it tastes even better. I felt like I was being unfaithful to my favorite BBQ place as this really does rival it. The beer selection is a bit small for my taste, but that's probably more a reflection on myself than the restaurant. Before we finished we even had someone come check that everything had gone well. This is excellent BBQ. All I can speak for is the brisket, baby backs, fresh fries and complimentary cornbread, but it was all delicious. There are 6 different BBQ sauces at the table. All are delicious and unique in flavor. I left not knowing which I liked best. The service was fast and friendly. We must have been checked up on 3 different times by the same lady. I happened to be here on the 18th anniversary of 9/11. First responders packed the place, one of whom sang the National Anthem and said a few words of remembrance. This establishment goes above and beyond for their customers and the Military and First Responders, especially. They are there to serve their customers and it is evident! For example, if u order a brisket for $8.79 it also allows you to select a combo XL for $3 more, which comes with a side and a drink; or XXL for $4-2 sides and a drink. I was excited to try this place but very disappointed. I ordered the brisket sandwich and it was not tender. It was somewhat dry and served on a dry, cold bun with nothing on it. My son was at quantico for training so we went up to see him for a couple days and one day he wanted to eat here. He said they had done something on base and they were good people. BBQ has become very expensive over the years and this place was moderately priced but it was worth it. As with all Mission BBQ locations, the Stafford restaurant has excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The brisket is sliced just right, and has very little fat. Just how I like it. The sauces have a good range, though my palate leaned towards the sweeter end. The sides are to die for, with the Mac and Cheese being almost as good as my home made. Gotta have a Bog Red soda with dinner, since Mission seems to be the only place in the area that carries it. The sweet tea is also very good. Always fresh and not all sugar.
