I haven't had any bbq since moving to Maryland and was in the area today (6/03/25) and was really hungry. So I finally got something I have never tried is the half chicken which was so extremely moist when I finally tried it after I got home. I got my usual moist brisket, those slamming greens and cornbread, Mac and cheese, and added a desert to round it all off. I will have yummy leftovers for my lunch for work tomorrow and later tonight. Service is always great. Glad to see young people who actual like their job. Can't wait to be back on that side of town to get my bbq fix!

Today I went with turkey, brisket, and classic sausage along side some potato salad and greens. Turkey- with KC Classic sauce was great. I could actually taste the smoke and it was juicy. Classic sausage- with Tupelo honey heat sauce. Had a nice snap and just enough heat. This was really good. Brisket- with Texas Twang sauce. This is an outstanding combination! Moist brisket with a tangy sauce is some Damm good eatin'! lol Greens- just a capful of NC Vinegar was exactly what I needed. These are good greens alone, but with vinegar they reminded me of home! I'll ALWAYS eat these Potato Salad- was very good. Potatoes were properly cooked, not hard at all, and seasoned well. Mission BBQ has completed another mission!

Fast casual. Very large portion for the pulled chicken sandwich. Lots of flavors for the bbq sauces. Cornbread was a little dry but nice flavor. Friendly service and quick. The smoky sauces were my favorite

Brisket, Mac and cheese, collard greens & pulled chicken.

The bad was the corn bread and potato salad. Not doing it for me. Now the good, 3.5 but I will give them the star for outstanding service and samples. The staff really made this experience special. From TX so bbq is lifeblood for me. The brisket go for the fat. I wish they offered whole chickens. Their sauce was smoky, tasty and smooth. That bottle was awesome! It was to go and they provided me everything I needed to serve and eat. Open kitchen I like that style. The turkey, links and brisket would be the protein of choice. Ribs did not taste so maybe next time.

One of the best places for BBQ and service. They treat every customer special. The place is clean and you get great quality and portions of what you order. I love the sides, macaroni and cheese, greens, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes.. you get seasonal choices along with desserts like bread pudding, etc. So delicious, I always have to return to try something new. + clean + hospitality is top notch + plenty of parking + meat is good quality + prices are reasonable

Tasty brisket sandwich lunch with fries prepared correctly by caring people, especially Bernadette. We were fortunate to be there at noon for the singing of our country's National Anthem. The manager checked on us and answered questions about some of the memorabilia. Price was reasonable for the quality and quantity. We will be back!

6/13/21: We ordered online & called in to see if they were doing curbside. The rude young lady that answered the phone told us to just come inside. If they aren't doing curbside anymore, they need to take down the signs. Anyway, we ordered pulled pork sandwiches & fries. The pork was yummy, but the fries were soggy. We literally ordered from outside the restaurant & it gave us the pickup time. So, why package our food early and have our fries soggy?? That makes no sense & that's why I'm taking away a star. Other than that, there was plenty of parking & I could See that Covid guidelines aren't strictly being followed because there were customers going in and coming out without masks. If we are in the area, we may go back. We were just passing through.

    Order and pickup area.

Mission BBQ [MB]. (1.875 stars). Smoke Ring. Smoked meats. Seasoning and dry rub. Sauces (for those who like it saucy). Those are some of the items that I mentally make a checklist of when I eat any America BBQ meal!! I'm a hardcore Texas BBQ dry rub lover. I can eat my bbq with sauce especially if it is needed to bring moisture & some flavor to the meat. I've been to a few of MB's locations and this is probably the best location thus far. That isn't saying much since my meal was dismal. First off, the price didn't bother me. Even for the "small portions". BBQ is a tough craft that requires HOURS of love just to put anything on a plate! I actually thought the prices were on the cheaper end even though the execution was severely lacking. Black label steak. (2 stars). Drrrryyyyyyyy & flavorless. Tough to chew. No redeeming qualities that would ever make me order this any time soon. Pulled pork. (2 stars). Very oily and lacking any seasoning. Stringy & dry in some areas. Jalapeño sausage. (2 stars). Very tough to chew. Jalapeño is evident but nothing exceptional about this sausage. Lean brisket. (1 star). Worst lean cut of brisket I've had in a long time. Extremely dry & almost jerky like. Impossible to chew. No flavor. Top was burnt. Moist brisket. (3 stars). Moist. Tender. No flavor or seasoning evident. The only thing I would order if I came back. Cornbread. (2 stars). Very dense. Edible but not great. Slightly sweet. Kickin' collard greens. (2 stars). Average. Lots of onions which I didn't care for but didn't take away from my rating. Not enough vinegar to cut through the oily watery "broth". Meh. Mac & cheese. (1 star). Watery. Mushy. Taste like boxed Mac & cheese. Few macaroni were still undercooked. Most were dissolving before my eyes (overcooked). While I don't rate service, I had one dismal experience & one great experience here. The cashier was very unsure of the entire menu as far as what was in each offering & had a very "I don't give a F$&k I just work here" attitude. The manager was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Friendly & engaging. MB, please take the time to have your staff learn your menu properly by tasting & being able to explain what makes your food worth trying!!?? I realize MB is a chain, but it's pretty close to where I live & I really wanted to give them another chance. They also have a lot of military motif & provide veterans with discounts which is awesome! But after trying 3 separate locations on 4 occasions, I think I'll pass. I wish MB well.

3 meat sampler: Baby back ribs, beef brisket (moist & lean), pulled chicken, Mac-n-cheese, cole-slaw, corn bread and blueberry cobbler.

A monkey-pigeon with a renewed heart would understand the level of happiness a meal like this would bring to a soul like mine. I mean considering the amount of high protein and savory carbs that is in this meal, Mission BBQ stands righteously behind their well-cooked, and grilled choices of meat by delivering an exquisite taste of options on their menu. Can't go wrong with the 3 meat sampler: Baby back ribs, beef brisket (moist & lean), pulled chicken, Mac-n-cheese, cole-slaw and corn bread. That in the center is a blueberry cobbler .... Definitely a meal worth taking to the moon and back. Who's with me?

Love the bbq! Awesome flavors of meat and sauces. Wish they had better cornbread. Fairly expensive, but we pay it. :)

On about three occasions, I've received the wrong sandwich or salad, so I've learned to double-check my order before leaving. To their credit, whenever I've pointed out the mistake, they've been happy to correct it without any issues. While I appreciate that, it can still be a bit frustrating to have to catch the error yourself. Other than that, it's your standard Potbelly with the same menu and quality you'd expect. My go-to order is the Grilled Chicken & Cheddar sandwich, and I also highly recommend the Apple Walnut Salad with the nonfat vinaigrette--it really elevates the salad.

Coffee Shop No. 355…read more I drive past Hahu Cafe lat least twice a week. I never stop because I thought it was a market. I had some extra time on my hands yesterday, was hanging out with one of my coffee buddies, and so we decided to explore the cafe. Hahu Cafe is on the corner of a little strip mall; so two sides of the shop are all windows which allows a ton of natural light to enter the cafe. I mention this because it adds to the warm and inviting environment. The young ladies running the shop were kind and friendly. The shop is impeccably clean. The most important part is the coffee of course; which was delicious. The milk ratio in the cortado was off (too much milk...I think my cortado had more milk than my friend's latte). However, the coffee bean Hahu Cafe uses is bold and flavorful. I am guessing it's some sort of dark roast. I forgot to ask. I actually enjoyed the "cortado". This is definitely a cafe worth visiting. I couldn't find Hahu Cafe's social media; so here is their website. Enjoy! https://www.hahu-cafe.com/

I ordered the fetira, which is scrambled eggs in a thin flatbread drizzled with honey. I have to imagine making this is what took so long, but 40min to wait seems unreasonable. Neither the signage nor the woman behind the counter indicated that fetira would require extra time to prepare. The family behind us got their whole meals before we even got our coffees, and multiple others came in after us, ordered, got their food, and left before we got ours. After about 30min, we asked if our food could be prepared to go instead of dining in because it was taking too long. I googled fetira recipes after we left, and they all said it takes 25min to prep and cook from scratch, so I can't imagine what took 40min. The food was pretty good, but it definitely wasn't worth a 40min wait.
