Yum! I got the Beetnik + chicken and loved it. Fresh ingredients and lots of combos to choose from. Salad (ironically) did not come mixed, all the ingredients were laid on top in different sections and created quite a visually appetizing effect. I've had the Mixt in SF before and was very happy to see them open up in LA. With the opening of Sweetgreen on Sunset and Sanborn a few months ago and now Mixt, the salad wars have officially come to Silverlake. Who's better? Sweetgreen's menu changes with the seasons...I liked their summer but am not feeling the fall's...so I'll be coming back to Mixt soon I'm sure. Online ordering: very easy to order through their website. One downside, when I came to pick up my order, the Salad Valet™ service was "out of service"/not outside, so I had to park and go inside. So we're trying to keep it healthy. Have visited this establishment a few times now. Earned a free lemonade so I tried their Turmeric lemonade. BOMB DIGGITY! So delish. Updating my review because after my review about food poisoning, customer service messaged me through here on Yelp. They proceeded to take 0 responsibility and told me the mandarin salad I ordered was a popular item, they had no other food outbreaks and that in most cases of food poisoning, it takes a day to weeks to settle in so I must have gotten it from some previous meal before Mixt. I told them I had read their reviews. There were at least two other people who complained about getting food poisoning from here-one was just a week and a half before my review. So all of us must have ate something before we got food at Mixt and we all happened to get food poisoning? I think the more likely answer is that the common thread between us strangers was eating food from here. There were also other reviews about hair and a caterpillar in people's food. Maybe this place used to be cleaner but I think it's the cleanliness of the actual venue that's causing people to get sick, not a specific dish. I hope this will serve as a PSA as a warning about this place. read more

I used to really like this place when I started ordering stuff here they had a hot plate option with mashed cauliflower as a side. I would order that every day for 2 weeks until one day it disappeared off the menu. I was heartbroken. I found out that it's "seasonal" how ever that makes sense. So since I've been been trying their grain bowls. I've had them for like 3-4 days straight. I've gained a few pandemic pounds. I'm looking for a healthier alternative. It's unfair how delicious this place is. Their dressings are nuanced and unique, their ingredients fresh and lively, and their menu caters to the whole gambit of food lifestyles from vegan to your yuppie, steak-needing husband. Here's how delicious: I ordered a DYO bowl online through their somewhat limited online ordering platform for curbside pickup, got there but realized after 12 minutes of waiting that my food was inside instead, there learned that they had run out of kale and used mixed greens instead: "I tried to call you - is that okay?" (it was, how sweet to call), had to go in again because they also forgot the bread, drove home only to find that they had also not added the cauliflower I paid extra for, and I STILL SAT DOWN IMMEDIATELY TO WRITE THIS 5-STAR REVIEW because I might have found my new favorite restaurant. And to be honest, the mixed greens made it better. (Also of course they were out of kale. This is silver lake, for chrissake.) I got a DYO bowl with purple barley and non-kale/mixt greens, golden beets, mango, non-cauliflower, marinated tofu (soft like civilized folk, not baked into leather!), jicama, avocado, and falafel crumbles (brought things together amazingly! A must!), along with tamarind vinagrette and lemon tahini dressings. It was all-told $17.47. Both dressings are phenomenal - creamy but not too heavy when on the side and tangy without, in the case of the tamarind, sugary excess (so def pair with mango for bliss). Or at least that's what the name tag on his shirt said the day I came in to this location. When I stand in line to order there are two women in front of me so I wait my turn to be helped. When the server named Vidal was free, he asks me "What can I get you Boss?" ... Boss??? Is this how the training manager is training the servers? To greet customers as Boss?? I doubt it. In fact I highly DOUBT he greeted the two ladies in front of me as boss. I'm a 40 year old man. I'm not your Boss, bro, dude, or chief. Address me as SIR. Like you should. DONT DO IT, RUDE RUDE RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE--- I am a pescatarian so I ordered a fish dish with a couple sides. My friend, who can't eat tomatoes, ordered impossible meatballs. (nothing on the menu indicated meatballs had tomato sauce). It was a Saturday night we popped in and grabbed our food to go. Drove all the way home to realize they gave us the complete wrong order. They gave me chicken instead of fish and my sides were wrong. My friend had her meatballs smothered in her allergen along with the incorrect sides as well. I am a pretty low maintenance (never send your food back) kinda girl but neither one of us could eat a single morsel of the incorrect orders. I called their customer service line immediately and no one answered so I left a vm. When you order, you have no way to contact the location should any thing happen. I was unable to reach the store location or any one on the phone to make it right. My only option would have been to physically drive back to Silverlake to get my correct food. After driving a half hour back home on a Saturday night, that was not an option. All of the 'MIXT UP' aside, had the company just done the right thing following, this bad review would never be happening. The guy that answered the phone was rude and defensive from the start. I told him the situation above and asked for a refund. Instead, he said he would send me coupons. I told him thank you for the coupons but when would my refund be processed? He told me they would not be refunding my meal despite their error because they had no way to process the refund because they don't store credit card information. I then advised him that I'd be MORE THAN HAPPY to provide my cc number to him in order to process the refund. The man on the phone took the entire credit card number and ensured me that he processed the refund. He advised this while providing lots of condescending attitude that did not go unnoticed. Needless to say, he did not process the refund. I then called back two other times and left a vm asking him to follow through with refund before I dispute the charge with my bank.... Well over a month later, no refund was made so off to my bank I go and this yelp review is born. Hey dude who is the voice of MIXT (your voice is on the voicemail) and answers CUSTOMER SERVICE CALLS, you are TERRIBLE at your job and I don't appreciate the fact that you would not do the right thing and refund me for the ERROR MIXT CREATED. read more

Came here today for the first time and got the beet salad, steak sandwich and tofu sandwich. All so good! You can also custom build your own salad or do a plate with protein and 2 sides. I used to go to Wilshire location all the time when I worked there it was excellent. Walked over 2 miles to get dinner here after my exercise...only to find at 8:45 the employee didn't want to make a salad. I told him you should close at 8:45 if you don't want to serve until 9....granted it looked like he was making delivery/post mate orders. Anyway, I ordered the "be well" salad with light dressing. He started making the salad and almost halfway thru he scrapped the salad and threw it away. I assumed he put a wrong ingredient in the salad but without mentioning anything he threw it away and went into the back kitchen. He arrived almost a minute later with a new salad almost fully prepared in the bowl, he just added carrots and dressing from the back. Normally I wouldn't mind or question that but when I seemed to have agitated him by coming in 15 minutes before closing I was grossed out by this. I thought about just leaving because it seemed so strange but I was starving so I paid. Anyway I just walked a couple blocks away to eat the salad and not be on their tables while closing and found the salad to have heavy dressing and no cucumber or quinoa making the salad taste completely terrible. Was just lettuce chickpea lentil and carrot. Really lame experience. During this quarantine it's been hard to find good & CLEAN restaurants & MIXT delivered on that aspect 100%. When picking up my order i was greeted by an amazing staff and friendly owner. They were all very grateful for me stopping by. Not to mention they were taking safety precautions very seriously & all wearing gloves and masks. Not only is this place a very friendly & chill atmosphere but they also have REALLY tasty food! I was recommended to try this place by a couple friends in the area and I'm super glad I did. I got the Falaf salad which consist of avocado, mixed greens, house baked falafel crumbles, grapes, cucumbers, fresh herbs, roasted cauliflower, chickpeas, & tahini vinaigrette! Best salads ever. I've had a few of their salads here and the steak sandwich and they are all so good. I dropped in for the first time in person and Jazz was SO full of energy and fun as well. She was able to make recommendations and even let us know we can make substitutions for any of the ingredients for any of their salads. The meat options for the salad are so juicy and flavorful. There are so many different salad toppings and ingredients and dressing. What else can you ask for? The prices are pretty steep for a salad but health is wealth. definitely give this place a try and don't forget to tip for awesome service! read more

I love this place! The prices are a little higher than other similar places like sweet greens but the recipes are tastier and their portions are generous. I often can't even finish their salad in one sitting. I really like the fish as well here in the dinner plate.
