I came here to try out their food using the Yelp voucher I received. Parking is hard to find in Silver Lake area but MIXT has their own personal lot which is a huge plus. I placed an order for take out and was told to simply pull up to the "salet" area in 20 minutes. I arrived 5 minutes early and waited in the car at the salet area for 10 minutes. There were few employees sitting in the corner socializing while 2 were behind the counter working. All of them clearly saw me wait in the assigned area for 10 minutes but nobody brought out the food like the website stated. After realizing nobody was going to come outside, I went inside and picked up my food which had been sitting on the counter for quite sometime. The packaging and labeling of the containers are very neat and well designed. Visually, the food looked decent too. My kaleo salad was a bit underwhelming. The brussels sprouts were a bit too hard to chew due to it being undercooked and the chicken was quite dry. For the price of $14, I didn't think it was worth it in taste and in portions. There are some positive things to like about MIXT but also a few things that fell short. I might give them a try again and try a sandwich only if I'm in the area.. read more

I hate to do this publicly, but sadly they don't have a phone number. On 8/15/21 around 4:15pm I ordered a peachy salad. A couple hours after eating, I started to experience symptoms of food poisoning. The pain got so bad, I thought about going to the hospital. I noticed that this seems to be an ongoing trend at this location as I've seen other reviews bring up food poisoning, as well as finding a caterpillar in their salad. A healthy mix of good for you and some not so good for you foods. Mostly healthy though. The salads are amazing and the variety of ingredients to choose from is overwhelming (in a good way). Parking is a bit tight but there is also a lot of street parking. They dress the salads unless you ask them to put it on the side so if taking out, I'd suggest you tell them ahead. read more

I work in the neighborhood and decided to give MIXT a go being that one sometimes grows tired of the same restaurants in the area so why not? I ordered the mandarin salad and for $16 I thought it wasn't very well made in comparison to Sweet Green and Mendocino Farms. The main thing for me was the dressing to salad ratio. I was only given one sauce cup worth of dressing so only the top part of my salad was covered in it and the rest was just spring mix. Great place to grab healthy, fresh food. We ordered the Falafel salad and the Steak and Blue cheese salad to go. The falafel bits in the first salad were a little TOO crunchy. Not sure if that's how they always are or if we got the bottom of the barrel crumbs. Still, it tasted good and everything was very fresh. The steak and blue cheese salad was full of intense flavor. We used to get the best salads from Mixt, then they started forcing you to beg for bread only to fail to put it in your pickup order, and stop micro portions of your selections making your salad a $15 bag of lettuce if your choice. Today we forgot how badly they had slipped, picked up food, asked for bread, got home to a $15 plate of arugula with barely anything on it and still no freaking bread. Came here with a yelp voucher. So this review might be influenced. Visited on a Wednesday evening, an hour before it closed. There were not many people. And yes it was nice to be able to park in a lot on Sunset Blvd. BUT, the entrance to the lot was super low, and it almost scratched the bottom of my car front. If your car has a low front, make sure you enter and exit VERY SLOWLY!!! There were two servers that night, they were not particularly friendly nor rude, just your typical LA neutral. I ordered a build your own salad with a mix of kale and arugula. I like that they use organic greens, it is very fresh. Then I was able to add 5 toppings including cooked veggies and nuts. I skipped the extra proteins as I did not feel like it. I chose the lemon tahini dressing and had it lite. It came out like $11. A bit pricey for having a salad, especially if you have a kitchen and can go to grocery to get salad. Maybe the dressing was too lite? But I didn't taste it at all! My salad was very dry and plain. So my opinion is that I would not come here for a salad while I can get everything with 1/3 of the price. But I really like that they use quality ingredients. Happened up on this place We were doing a pop up shop and needed lunch and decided to try it for it's healthy choices. You can have a custom salad and choose all of your fixings or choose on from the menu. They also have wraps and sandwiches. The cucumber type drink was super refreshing and tasty. I had a feeling I'd be into MIXT as salad is one of my favorite food groups, but being able to park my car right out front in their lot (on a drizzly night in LA, no less) totally had me on cloud nine before I'd even checked out the menu. Throw some friendly staff members and a swoon-worthy slew of ingredients into the mix, and the deal is signed, sealed, delivered. I'm yours! MIXT has a pretty robust menu of salads, bowls, and sandwiches--you can with either go with one of their options or build your own. I went the BYO route and got a big old salad with tons of greens, roasted veggies, vegan furikake, tahini lemon dressing, and steak. You guys, this was so good. Poor Hayley H (the newest Yelp OC CM) had to watch me scarf this thing down like a mad woman. I loved it! This location has their first ever "Salad Valet" where you can pre-order your salad online and someone is there to hand it to you when you arrive. That's right, you don't even have to get out of your car (and I think they hand you a fresh watermelon slice which is literally so darling). I didn't use this option this time, but I think it's brilliant and totally a fit for the area. Only downside at MIXT is your meal can get pricey pretty quickly. My salad ended up being a little over $18, mostly because of the steak which is $6. It was filling and awesome and I really enjoyed it, but it's not something I could do every week. Mixt was really great, although fairly expensive for a salad, the flavors were DELICIOUS. I actually ended up ordering the grilled flat iron steak (was trying to get more bang for my buck, and I figured if they can satisfy a $16 steak dinner that is a win!). I ordered this with the mashed cauliflower and brussel sprouts....OKAY WOW the sides were OUT of this world. I ordered for pickup at the "Salet" (BTW super fun idea and loved how easy this was to just pick up my to go order) - I preset my order at 6pm to pick up at 7:30...I arrived at 7:25 ish and my order was sitting on the counter and actually already cold. The food still tasted delicious BUT just a warning that it may be a risk to order super far in advance as they may make it early and the timing could be off. Regardless, I ordered the ginger miso glaze sauce with my steak and, man, it was delicious! If you are EVER craving a cheap steak dinner, I really think this needs to be your go to! Super fresh and flavorful sides, the steak was tender and not too chewy, and they provided a really good amount for the price point. I will definitely be back to enjoy their market plates, not sure about the salads here since I already have a hard time justifying a $15 salad, but it may be worth it if you are a lover of loaded salads. The convenience of the Salet could really make this place worth it if you are looking for a meal in a crunch, they make online ordering easy, I am sure they will start getting in their flow so the food is still hot when you arrive (or just stick to ordering salad to go since that doesn't need to be hot)! Given that this was so delicious and the meal was ready when I arrived in the first week that Mixt was open makes me so hopeful that any small issues will be resolved! Just finished the vegan Be Well Salad and LOVED it! Great combination of edamame, quinoa, lentils, scallions and avocado. My daughter had the chicken Cobb. She substituted the champagne dressing for the Siracha Ranch instead and really enjoyed it. Since we ordered online we didn't see the preparation of the meat.
