Yum YUM YUM! Had the pleasure of having the steak with a side salad! Didn't know the sandwhich would be cold, but the blue cheese and the balsamic onions made it come together. The fact that the parking is HUGE for silverlake and if you order online you just park, hop out and there's a person right in front with your order in a cool little ice cream cart. So when I try to make it a a bit more fulfilling of a dinner and add double chicken, the pay they crazy up charge, and get this pittance of protein! Salad Valet (Curbside Pick Up) love it! I arrived at MIXT to find two valets waiting for me. Yes, me! I placed my order online and it was pretty simple. You can dine in or pick it up curbside. While I waited for them to bring my order out, I was offered a free sample of a vegan meatball and it was very tasty. I was given all of the ingredients and honestly it didn't taste like anything she said, it taste like real meat - with a kick. I enjoyed it. At check in I was offered a free lemonade and since I was there I decided to use it. The lemonade was FRESH and tart. My salad was huge and it was everything! I chose my own ingredients. I chose quinoa and kale as my greens, cauliflower, sweet potato, feta, chicken and applewood smoked bacon with balsamic vinaigrette and chipotle honey drizzle. Just found this little gem that just opened in Silver lake area. I guess there are other locations. The location is gorgeous with its bright open design.The food is excellent. Great quick healthy options. It has the line of ordering foods right in front of you so it's a quick process. I had their grilled flat iron steak Market Plate with chimichurri and parmesan cauliflower mash. Their cauliflower mash was great! and it was even better knowing that it's a healthier option from mashed potatoes (lower glycemic index, lower carbs/calories, etc.) My fiance had the roasted steelhead and she loved it! I had a few bites and it wasn't dry and it tasted fresh. She ordered the grilled broccoli side. We generally don't like spicy food, but she still managed to enjoy a good portion of it. We also ordered a couple salads. I ordered the Orchard salad and she had the Be Well salad with added chicken. I was shocked by the size of their bowls! They were huge! If you are vegan, instead of ordering chicken, you can substitute with Impossible crumbles. They also have impossible meatballs with their Market Plate options. Their Turmeric Ginger lemonade was refreshing! They also have Healthade Kombucha on tap. The place also caters to families!
