Yum YUM YUM! Had the pleasure of having the steak with a side salad! Didn't know the sandwhich would be cold, but the blue cheese and the balsamic onions made it come together. I came here to try out their food using the Yelp voucher I received. Parking is hard to find in Silver Lake area but MIXT has their own personal lot which is a huge plus. I placed an order for take out and was told to simply pull up to the "salet" area in 20 minutes. I arrived 5 minutes early and waited in the car at the salet area for 10 minutes. There were few employees sitting in the corner socializing while 2 were behind the counter working. All of them clearly saw me wait in the assigned area for 10 minutes but nobody brought out the food like the website stated. After realizing nobody was going to come outside, I went inside and picked up my food which had been sitting on the counter for quite sometime. The packaging and labeling of the containers are very neat and well designed. Visually, the food looked decent too. My kaleo salad was a bit underwhelming. The brussels sprouts were a bit too hard to chew due to it being undercooked and the chicken was quite dry. For the price of $14, I didn't think it was worth it in taste and in portions. There are some positive things to like about MIXT but also a few things that fell short. I might give them a try again and try a sandwich only if I'm in the area.. read more

The salad I got from here is probably in the top 3 salads I've ever had in my life. The other two are from Cafe Mezzo in Berkeley, CA and Real Food Daily in Pasadena, CA. I did the BYO salad and got arugula/spring mix and all the grilled veggies -- mushrooms, butternut squash, caramelized onions, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, red pepper-- the crumbled falafel, and avocado. I got the lemon tahini dressing and it was amazing. Any toppings over the first five are extra charge, FYI. My salad came out to about $15. I highly recommend this combo, with tofu if you want a vegan salad with protein. It is a bit pricey, but you're paying for the convenience when you can't make your own healthy meal. You can order online and have the salad valet hand you your salad in your car at your designated pick up time. Everyone working here is super upbeat and friendly, everywhere is clean and pristine. While I waited for them to bring my order out, I was offered a free sample of a vegan meatball and it was very tasty. I was given all of the ingredients and honestly it didn't taste like anything she said, it taste like real meat - with a kick. I enjoyed it. At check in I was offered a free lemonade and since I was there I decided to use it. The lemonade was FRESH and tart. My salad was huge and it was everything! I chose my own ingredients. I chose quinoa and kale as my greens, cauliflower, sweet potato, feta, chicken and applewood smoked bacon with balsamic vinaigrette and chipotle honey drizzle. I ordered the steelhead with a side of roasted Brussels sprouts, which were both insanely delicious! I also built my own salad with butternut squash, cauliflower, chicken, avocado and spinach... Which was also good. I'm sure if you added a dressing, it would have been even better but I'm the type that doesn't like her food soaking in sauces and such. Instead I mixed the Brussels sprouts and steelhead into my salad to make one MONSTER of a meal that completely satisfied! I highly recommend Mixt if you're looking for a fast and healthy meal option. Just found this little gem that just opened in Silver lake area. I guess there are other locations. The location is gorgeous with its bright open design.The food is excellent. Great quick healthy options. It has the line of ordering foods right in front of you so it's a quick process.
