Went for the first time with the fam to celebrate my wife's last day as a working girl and celebrate retirement. Since it was a Tuesday we thought it might be a bit slow, but on the contrary it was very busy at 7 PM. When you walk in you immediately notice the bright decor and great uniforms on all the employees. Our server's name was Adam and he offered some suggestions and recommendations for us. He was also helping behind the bar. The music mix was fun and we were all kind of dancing in our seats as we ate as they played a variety of disco, 80's-90's dance music throughout the evening. I ordered the The China Town special and Adam warned it was a lot of food, but I told him I skpped lunch...so it was all gone. Have been wanting to try this place for a long time. Finally got to try and was so impressed with my experience. Food was amazing and our server was the best. Someone in our party ordered chicken fried rice, when it came out, our server, Sophia noticed they brought out the kids size rather than the normal size and she took care of this right away. I feel like normally something like this would go unnoticed at other places, so I appreciated it very much. Overall the noodles are a standout, and the pork soup dumplings are delectable. New restaurant in the neighborhood so thought we'd try it. Not too many vegetarian options but they do exist, but none on the lunch menu. My friend had chicken lo mein and I had vegetarian hand noodles. They looked like same just different noodles so I am sure the flavor was similar. Added hot sauce to mine fir a bit of kick. They dishes were good but they did not come out hot, rather luke warm. My flat noodles were chewy almost like they nuked it. When the next table got their food, it was steaming hot. Hmmmm. The food is always delicious, their dumpling choices are plentiful as they are great tasting. Noodles are made fresh in restaurants. Service has always been A++. The ambiance of Miya is incredible. Disco music and amazing food smells, and friendly staff. Very colorful beautiful decor. For drinks they have Coke products which is already a win. Amazing Cocktails: the Smoky Rita, Lychee Martini, and Old Fashioned. My server BLAKE was very attentive and friendly. He recommended the Spicy Beef Noodles, Crispy Beef, and Duck Fried Rice!! Super fresh Chinese food made to order in a casual, but upscale environment. What else do you want? Our server was warm and engaging and responded to all of our little requests for condiments and sauces. The dumplings disappeared before I could take a picture. MiYa was a great experience overall. Immediately, the open layout of the restaurant created a very unique and welcoming feeling, and the staff was very friendly. The food was great, and the soup dumplings were some of the best I've had in Dallas. What's not to like? Super easy website to order from. Pulled up and went in and the place was packed. My order was ready when I arrived in a great tote that won't fall over in my car. Drove the 10 minutes home and the dumplings were still warm. Did I say they were amazing ? The food is always fresh! I've gone a total of four times in about a month to say the least. I cannot get enough of it! The service is spectacular every time! The owner is super sweet and is always on the go. The last time I went was for Lunar New Year and it was slammed, I do think the crowd control could have been better because it is so small. People were not wanting to get up from their seats nor try to sit elsewhere for the people getting there to eat, which was very frustrating since I was so hungry. We tried this tonight since we were excited to see a new restaurant at the old pei Wei location. Initial impressions were good until we sat down. Our waiter never checked on slus to order, we had to get a different server to order for us. Appetizers came within 5 minutes which was great. Then began the 40 minute wait for 2 entrees, general tsaos chicken and chicken fried rice. Most likely will not return until they've worked out the kinks on their service speed. I got an order through uber eats. The food was hot and the sauce on the orange chicken was actually tasty. The problem was the consistency; the chicken chunks were similar to play dough when chewing and the crust wasn't crispy as you would expect from deep fried food. Dinner with my wife for the first time at MiYa. Always looking, but not really finding a good Chinese restaurant within the city limits and not the burbs. Finally found it! Food was excellent. Egg rolls were kind of meh, but everything else was great - hot & sour soup, northern spicy dumplings, and mu shu chicken. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere and the music (1980's). Service also was outstanding - a well oiled machine. My only real complaint and keeping it from 5 stars is the outrageous price of a beer. We enjoy having a couple of beers with dinner and they all priced at $8 for a 12 ounce bottle. So, with tax and tip, our four beers added about $40 to the bill. That's gouging, but we'll definitely be back for the food - maybe takeout next time and a few brews at home. read more

Today, I stopped by here to try a new restaurant. I was so excited that our area finally had a Chinese restaurant. This is a lovely place with great staff. Everyone was very attentive and welcoming. We had sake, and it was nice and cold. The edamame was great. We had hot and sour soup, dim sum, and Kung pa chicken, and everything was delicious. This a great place to have a date night.
