    Ribeye Minute Steak Pita
    Mark G.

My wife and I were noticing there was some local viral attention being put on to Miznon, and being middle eastern, and Israeli, food enthusiasts, we knew we had to check it out. Upon entering the restaurant, the only thing I found truly distracting was the insanely loud techno music their DJ was playing at noon on a Saturday. I know it sounds like I'm old, but we couldn't even have a conversation with how loud it was in there. I will say that our server was very patient with us while we browsed the menu and provided excellent customer service. The Hummus and Pita plate was exceptional. It was truly some of the best pita we ever had. Warm, fluffy, and pillowy. It was a real treat. The hummus was pretty good too, kinda felt like they put a little too much olive oil on it that made the hummus turn kinda soupy. Not sure if that's traditional or not, but the flavor was spot on. The Roasted Cauliflower was also magnificent. It ate kind of the salty side but I was here for it because a vegetable as bland as cauliflower needs that extra salt punch. However they seasoned it besides the salt truly elevated the humble cauliflower into something very special. It was cooked perfectly fork tender without being mushy too. My wife ordered the Run Over Potato, which is literally a flattened baked potato topped with more of their amazing seasoning and their unique sour cream. Though it tasted pretty good, it was kind of a bizarre eating experience. That one was kind of a one and done. My Ribeye Minute Steak Pita was pretty dang good. Pretty hard to find anything wrong with it. The steak had this gamey flavor to it that made it taste more like lamb, but still, all around pretty delicious. We will definitely come back and try many more of their interesting menu offerings.

If you like Mediterranean food, this is your spot. The interior is cute and I love that it's open late. I cannot rave enough about the ribeye pita!!! I've come here a few times since and have ordered that alone. Unfortunately, I didn't like the hummus much as it didn't have a lot of flavor. Regardless, this spot gets a 5 star from me for that ribeye pita alone. The lamb one was delicious as well, but that steak just hits different.

Food. The best pita bread I have ever had. Portions were reasonable and filling. Really delicious! We recommend the falafel and green beans...super yum!! The mint and strawberry lemonades were super refreshing on a sunny day. Ambiance. Cute porch w open bar to enjoy a sunny day. Service. Service was VERY friendly and created a very welcoming environment. Everyone truly wanted us to have the BEST experience! A must check out!

Beautiful establishment! The vibe was good and the playlist was even better. Prior to going I did a little research and saw this place was pretty popular on certain days and they also offer a reverse happy hour, which I love because not many places offer this. Let me say, the owner was simply amazing! He thoroughly explained all the menu items, as well as offering suggestions. I also loved that everything on the menu is fresh, never frozen and they get most ingredients from a local market. The first item we tried wad the hummus plate. Simply delicious!! The pita that is served with it literally melts in your mouth! It was fluffy and fresh! You can tell it's homemade. I originally ordered the lamb kabob pita, but I like my lamb a certain way so I replaced it with another pita. I'm very picky when it comes to lamb so I won't say anything bad about it because it was not distasteful, just not of my liking. The present was good!! The second pita I tried was bomb, 10 out of 10 would recommend! It was the ribeye minute steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and the slices of meat were a good size. This pita was filled with so much flavor and it had a slight kick to it. I really enjoyed this one. The drinks were pretty good, I wasn't a fan of the rosemary in my margaritas though. I only like rosemary on my food. All in all, I would return because not only was the owner attentive, but our waiter was as well. Great experience!

Sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon. Place wasn't too busy and the staff was very polite and helpful. The only knock is that they served very little bread with the hummus. Def will be back someday.

Went here for dinner and it was great ambiance. They have nice music with tvs on in the back ground. Food was pretty good. The owner let us try multiple items so that we were able to taste the variety they had in their menu. He was very attentive and friendly which was very nice. The food however came out a little slow but it was good.

Restaurant was very cute and had a vintage, eclectic, mediterranean aesthetic. The food was very delicious and everything was tasty. A little pricey but the food is good! The Pita is so fluffy and everything from the meat to the veggies was flavorful

Visited Miznon on Saturday night with some friends. The place itself is pretty large, there is a good amount of seating inside and outside. The bar is aesthetic. The interior is interesting, they've thrown green chilies all over the place. No really, these peppers are EVERYWHERE. Miznon is an order in the front, grab your own table/water/cups type of place. That being said, we were very surprised to see an automatic 18% gratuity added to our bill. When one of our friends asked why this was the case, they said "we only do this on the weekends." Mind you, you are grabbing your own table, ordering in the front, getting your own water and napkins, similar to a chipotle or cava, seems a little silly to tip 18% for that. At minimum, they should have a sign or something that transparently disclosed this versus having customers discover this on their bill after the fact. Disappointing. But moving on to the food. Between the 6 of us, we got 6 pita pockets, 2 baked potato's, 1 cauliflower and 1 hummus. Long story short, we don't recommend any of the appetizers. They were tasteless and honestly went to waste. The baked potato's and cauliflower were especially flavorless and overpriced for about $9-12 starter. The pita pockets on the other hand were decent in taste. At around $18-22 a pop, you'd think they have more meat or were created with more sauce. The end of my chicken pocket was pretty dry/flavorless. All in all, likely won't be back at Miznon. These NYC prices for mediocre food will be hard to compete with smaller more affordable places in Dallas.

After a long drive and being a little hangry this placed seemed to have decent food. In my opinion the service was 5/5 and the food was okay. I'm particular when it comes to a Mediterranean meal so this wasn't quite a hit for me but everyone in my group seemed to enjoy theirs. ‍

First let me say this review is for 1 appetizer and 2 drinks. Sunday was a nice day, so my husband and I decided to to enjoy a patio. Miznon came across our IG feed, so we decided to stop by it's in the old spot of that wine bar that was across from Vidorra. The patio was small, but could still seat a lot of people. The inside is spacious. They were a bit busy when we got there, and the server let me know that when I walked in the door. He also told me I could order at the counter or bar if he took too long to come by our table. We ordered the hummus, an old fashioned and the sumagarita. Let's talk about the hummus. I would return just for the hummus. I am a hummus snob, and this is the best hummus I have ever had. It was super creamy and flavorful. The pita was soft and fluffy. I want to go back right now. They have a lot of veggie dishes also. The drinks were good, but nothing to rave about. The bathroom was clean and the toilet paper was thick. If you enjoy hummus, I definitely recommend you go here. I plan to return soon. The hummus is 10/10!

Knocked it out of the park! Visiting from NC and had a phenomenal experience. Started with great music (live DJ) and a warm introduction from Cas and the bartender. They shared a few things to sample, helped me pick out items on the menu, and I was blown away. Great job to the team at Miznon!

MUST TRY THIS PLACE. I don't give 5 stars often at all. But I'm a measure of Quality/Tase, Vibes/Ambience and Service?? This place is the only of its kind. I ordered the Candy Steak Pita. it didn't take long at all to come out. But In the short time I waited my server, Noble, was attentive and kind. I really enjoyed the peppers and tomatoes on the table, it really gave me foreign country ambience as if I wasn't in the heart of Dallas lol The best part needless to say was the Pita itself.. after my second bite I instantly regretted not ordering more items just to know if everything was as good as this.. all in all I will 100% be back to try the Hummus Noble was bragging about to me !

We arrived early so the restaurant was not too busy but it started to fill by the time we left. The ambience remains upscale casual with a gracious greeting as you enter. We were given one of the half moon booths that faced outward to the restaurant. I ordered the hummus as a starter and it was very good. It's a mild hummus without a strong garlic element. It was very enjoyable. The wife started with babaganoush and loved it. The dip was smoky and very flavorful. For entrees, the kid had the Caesar salad and ate everything except the croutons. The wife had the spiced meatballs and loved them. The meat was tender and the sauce was very rich. I had the chicken kabob and I was in heaven. The kabob took quite a while to prepare, but it was worth the wait. The chicken was well marinated and very flavorful. Best of all, it had a smoky flavor from the char, but the chicken remained tender and moist. It was phenomenal. I wish I could have that every night. It came with sautéed vegetables that were prepared perfectly. And it included a white rice that had a rich buttery flavor. We all enjoyed our meal very much and we were happy to return to this restaurant. I need to put it in the rotation more often.

I visited this restaraunt for the first time and genuinely enjoyed everything I ordered. Starting off with appetizers, my friend and I ordered the pan shared halloumi cheese. This is paired with tomatoes and fig jam and is a wonderful accompaniment to the complimentary bread and olives served for the table. I'm a big fan of halloumi in general but this one was particularly cooked well and a must order for next time. For main entree I ordered Hunkar Begendi, which is sautéed marinated lamb tenderloin with red and green bell peppers over creamy eggplant puree. The lamb was in fact tender and perfectly seasoned and the eggplant puree went very well with the slight gaminess of the meat. I enjoyed this dish overall and it didn't feel too heavy, which sometimes is the case when I eat lamb. The pieces of meat were cut small enough while not being super tough, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this restaraunt if you enjoy trying Mediterranean fusion spots!

Fortunately, they had some space on the patio. It was a hot night however they had couple fans to blow away some heat. Food: Started with a salad which was fresh, flavorful and with large chunks of beets, watermelon, and feta cheese. Great appetizer. My wife and I wanted to try a couple of items to share for the main entree, I had branzino. The whole fish, filleted, and grilled. The flavor was rich, without being overly salty nor too oily. The sides 1. Grilled Branzino - Served with quinoa arugula salad 2. Ali Nazik- Chargrilled lamb shish over smoked eggplant puree served with bean salad on the side Both were fantastic. The lamb was cooked just right and turned out moist and tender. The eggplant puree was a great texture; neither too smooth to lose its integrity nor too chunky. The staff was attentive and helpful. Verdict: 9/10: Would definitely go back but with a reservation or in a mindset to sit in the heat on the patio. The good : flavors were delicious. Our server was attentive and the entire staff seemed happy to have us.The flat bread pide (at another table) looked sumptuous . Chicken shish kebab chunks were cooked well and seasoned nicely and were juicy. The complementary bread is superb. The yogurt dip that went with though was not enough for us to have more than a few bites. Needs improvement: there was no reason why the accompanying (delicious) bean and cucumber salad was 24 to 48 hours old with Limp cucumbers and parsley and flavorless tomatoes. Needs to be fresh daily and use cherry tomatoes or Campari tomatoes for flavor and crispness. Turkish Rice was meh. It was cooked properly but not a whole lot of flavor and perhaps I was expecting more of a Lebanese style pilaf with butter, nuts, spices, onions, etc. to brighten it up. Beyti minced beef had good flavor, but why did they have gristle in it? My dinner companion complains was that this was a cheap cut. The butcher supplier is not paying attention. It also could've used a little bit more sauce on the bread wrap pieces for added juiciness. We ordered the.Tzatziki yogurt dip which helped add juiciness . There was no reason why the Turkish red wine came out warm. I realize that we were in a Dallas summer at 95° at 9 PM and the restaurant was slightly warm but still. Lastly, the owners might think about mitigating the hard surfaces that reflect sound in the restaurant. It's a lively place, but we were subjected to the group of six women who were drinking enough to be loud and screechy across the room - all too common across the city -and I did not need to hear them yukking it up. The place was full on a Saturday night, which bodes well for this restaurant. The staff attitude is good, but I'm afraid this will not be a repeat for me and my companions. .
