Little Gem Caesar chicken with fries

A fav! Caesar salad with chicken always hits and I love the fries with the olive aioli so good! Kind staff and a quick place to grab a bite!

I was shopping at Nordstroms with my mom and we were getting our dresses tailored there for a wedding in August since I was a Bridesmaid. We booked a table at Bistro Verde. My mother and I both ordered steak Caesar salads and diet cokes. Our food came quickly and it was delicious. Our waitress was really kind, attentive, and answered all of our questions. They put a lot of steak on our salads and the salad was pretty big so the portions were beyond perfect. The steak was also cooked exactly the way I liked it. I love my steak bloody and they really cooked it with that in mind. I was also beyond impressed with how beautiful it was out on the terrace. I had many photo opportunities on the roof. Even though some of the other patrons were kind of unpleasant. (At no fault of the restaurant), we still had a great time. I would give my dining experience at Bistro Verde a 10 out of 10, but unfortunately I can only leave five stars.

The Pappardelle Bolognese & Meatballs with Gluten Free Pasta

The food here is amazing. I've eaten here a few times while visiting the store to do some shopping or visiting a friend who works in the store. The staff is always super nice and accommodating. When we got there is was slightly crowded but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Once seated in a preferred booth, the server came to take our orders promptly. I particularly like that they can do their pasta dishes with gluten free noodles as an option. When I was there on my most recent visit for lunch with friends we split the Ginger Sesame Salad and I ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese & Meatballs with gluten free noodles. One friend had the Crab Mac & Cheese which was good and rich with nice chunks of crab. We also ordered drinks and a dessert since one friend wasn't able to drink. For cocktails we got the Amelia which was very tasty and festive. For dessert my friend ordered the brownie with ice cream. I tried it and almost cried lol. It was very rich and melted in your mouth and the ice cream was the best compliment. I look forward to my next visit and exploring more of the menu.

Who would have thought there was good food, great service, and an amazing view inside of women's Nordstrom on the 5th floor? All the dishes were equally delicious. The most unique one for me is the roast French dip. Actually I tried the shrimp pasta. It was good by very greasy. And for $25 that's a bit much.

First of all, the outdoor ambience on the rooftop was incredible. Our waiters were super friendly and accommodating, even switching my friend's drink when it wasn't what she anticipated which was wonderful. The drinks were strong and for happy hour the prices couldn't be beat for legit cocktails with a kick. The calamari and spinach artichoke dip were also delicious. I loved the aperol theme, they even gave us props to take pictures with! I can't wait to come back, I couldn't recommend it enough.

Conveniently located on Level 5 of Nordstrom's flagship in NYC! We stopped by for their summer pop-up on their outdoor patio which has an Aperol inspired theme. It's so cute with all the orange accents and diff aperol and summer themed cocktails. We also had some small bites. Staff was so friendly and the food was delicious. Perfect spot to stop for lunch between shopping. Enjoy!

French 75 and Amelia. I didn't take a pic of the food because the drinks were amazing. You have to find Jose!!!

I go here at least once a month. The service is fantastic. The wait staff, the manager and especially my favorite bartender Jose make it worth the visit. It is a great atmosphere and it makes visiting the store worthwhile. I usually purchase online for pick up in store so that I could drop by. We discovered the Shoe Bar in 2020 and found out about Bistro Verde later. I get my usual, the Nordstrom burger with the Beyond patty, no cheese and French fries and a French 75 (2 ) on the side. I have brought my sister, mother, aunt and best friends here on various occasions. It is worth visiting and oh yeah Nordstrom is also worth the visit.

Superb service and delicious food. Had no idea what I was walking into for a Wednesday dinner but it turned out to be perfect.

    Lobster bisque bowl

Surprisingly the food here is very tasteful. I came here with one of my friends for lunch after shopping (loved that there is a restaurant within Nordstrom, makes it very convenient). We ordered lobster bisque bowl, wild salmon oscar, crab mac & cheese and crisp calamari. Everything was so good and hearty. The one thing I regretted not ordering is a bowl of salad or vegetable to balance out our meal. The service was quick and pleasant. The time we went which was a weekday wasn't so crowded.

I hate giving 3 stars, but there were 3 too many things wrong. Pros *Artichoke and Spinach dip: savory and flavorful. By far the highlight of the meal. Drizzle some olive oil over the break for a little more richness. *The blueberry almond with ice cream was slamming. Fantastic like a nice light crunch while maintaining moistness. *Nelson, our waiter, was FANTASTIC!!! We love him! Cons *The fry on the halibut was great, but the chips were just ok. What was truly disappointing on the plate were the pickles. They didn't know if they wanted to be sweet or sour. Essentially they were some soggy cucumber slices. *Seared Steak and Bleu Cheese It sounded so good on the menu, but this really misses the mark. Everything needed a smaller dice to match the size of the barley, especially the pears. The kale was too tough and could have benefitted from a smaller slice. The barley should have been cooked till softer. And when you say steak and blue cheese, your expect something richer, which is because could have been achieved with more bleu cheese. I would come back again for a quick bite/coffee while shopping but if you are looking for an exceptional dining experience, in my opinion, this ain't it.

Was working a week long job at Nordstrom's and dined at Bistro Verde everyday for lunch out of convenience since it was located in the same building. To my surprise, the food is really great! The French dip, chicken tacos, burger, and fish and chips really hit the spot! It's a bit on the pricey side... but what made the experience the absolute best was the bartender Jose!!! HE IS THE MAN!!! BEST SERVICE EVER! THANKS SOO MUCH JOSE!

    Erin L.

An unsuspected surprise when a gem of a restaurant is nestled in a department store. Our waitress wasn't the most helpful or friendliest, but we may have caught her in a bad night. We headed here after my daughter finished running the NYC Marathon and it was the perfect selection for all of us being hungry after a long day. The burger had to be cut in half to eat it and although I ate to much, there were zero regrets. It was the burger (3 of 8 8 of us ordered and finished it) you seriously get a handful of times in a lifetime- serious golf clap to the chef! My daughter and three others went with the French Dip that was toasted and seasoned to perfection. And the fries matched both sandwiches perfectly. I'm not in the city often, but this is worth a second visit.

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

It's better than it needs to be, which in this neighborhood counts for a lot. The room is the star. Brass, smoked mirrors, marble, wallpaper with burlesque dancers, very Gatsby cosplay but done with actual money. Think the Campbell at Grand Central, minus the $28 martini attitude. It's also LOUD downstairs. Ask for upstairs if you want to hear your date. Gin is the program here and they take it seriously, house-infused bottles paired with specific tonics, not an afterthought. My G&T was legitimately well built. Food from chef JC Colón is better than cocktail-bar standard: truffle fries in duck fat are worth it, the lobster mac at $31 is rich and fine but you've had it before. Skip dessert. The steak frites at $48 is where I'd tap out, that's real-restaurant money for bar food execution. Here's the move though: weekday happy hour, 4 to 7. Dollar oysters and $13 cocktails in a room this pretty is one of the best deals in Midtown, full stop. Service was warm and fast even slammed. Not a destination, but if you're near Bryant Park or seeing a show, this beats everything else within five blocks. Book ahead, walk-ins were getting turned away by 5:30.

The bread was fluffy and not dry, which I had seen previous reviews say before. Paired with the creamy truffle butter, it had a luxurious mouthfeel. My favorite was the pork chop (cognac, sweet prunes, bacon, rosemary) -- the sweet and soft texture of the prune was melted in my mouth like fat, and the pork was tender, with the rosemary also coming through. The vodka rigatoni was a skip, somewhat bland and one-note, we ended up putting some of the truffle butter and garlic aioli from the fries to make it more flavorful. This was especially in contrast with the spicy shrimp pasta which was much tastier. Also got the strawberry vacherin (strawberry ice cream, meringue, vanilla whipped cream), it was my first time having this dessert. The tartness of the strawberry was great with the fluffy meringue and the sweet ice cream. Service was extremely attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with moody lighting. Although the space was packed, it didn't feel too loud or crowded. We spent about two hours and didn't feel rushed.

I went on a Thursday night, and the place was absolutely packed. The front feels more like a bar/casual area, while the dining room is tucked toward the back. My reservation was at 10:15 PM, so I actually had a light dinner beforehand and ordered a little lighter than I normally would. I got: - Truffle Monkey Bread ($34.99) - Prime Rib French Dip ($39.99) - Pommes Frites ($13.99) - Banana Split Sundae ($24.99) I thought the prices were definitely on the higher end when I first sat down, but the Truffle Monkey Bread is divine! Honestly, it's probably in my top 3 bread experiences of my life. If you love truffle, butter, cheese, and basically everything good in life, please get this. It comes out slightly warm and is just incredible. I will probably dream about this bread. The French Dip was good, although it was a little too salty for me. If I get the chance to come back, I'd probably try one of their actual steaks instead. The pommes frites were super crispy, basically McDonald's fries but elevated. The Banana Split Sundae was so pretty. I loved how they placed all the little treats around the crevices/imprints of the dish (not sure how else to describe it ). It's huge, though, so definitely don't expect to finish it yourself. I'd recommend sharing it with 3+ people. I was also celebrating an anniversary, and they brought out a strawberry scoop for us. It tasted homemade and really fresh. I could actually see pieces of strawberry in it, which I loved. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and getting a dinner reservation can be a struggle, but I'd absolutely go again if I got the chance. The decor is cozy and upscale, the food was excellent, and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere. My only real complaint was that our waitress kept pushing us to order more, which got a little annoying, especially since we had already ordered quite a bit. Overall: expensive + difficult reservation, but absolutely worth trying. And please get the truffle monkey bread.
