While there are numerous, numerous amazing restaurants in New York City, I always love grabbing a quick lunch in Bistro Verde. The crab bisque (the new lobster bisque) is absolutely delicious as is the crouton on top. We got the burrata and tomato dish too and it was delicious. The chicken meatballs weren't bad but I probably wouldn't get them again. The Caesar salad was spot on too. Love this place! read more

I was shopping at Nordstroms with my mom and we were getting our dresses tailored there for a wedding in August since I was a Bridesmaid. We booked a table at Bistro Verde. My mother and I both ordered steak Caesar salads and diet cokes. Our food came quickly and it was delicious. Our waitress was really kind, attentive, and answered all of our questions. They put a lot of steak on our salads and the salad was pretty big so the portions were beyond perfect. The steak was also cooked exactly the way I liked it. I love my steak bloody and they really cooked it with that in mind. I was also beyond impressed with how beautiful it was out on the terrace. I had many photo opportunities on the roof. Even though some of the other patrons were kind of unpleasant. (At no fault of the restaurant), we still had a great time. I would give my dining experience at Bistro Verde a 10 out of 10, but unfortunately I can only leave five stars. read more

The food here is amazing. I've eaten here a few times while visiting the store to do some shopping or visiting a friend who works in the store. The staff is always super nice and accommodating. When we got there is was slightly crowded but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Once seated in a preferred booth, the server came to take our orders promptly. I particularly like that they can do their pasta dishes with gluten free noodles as an option. When I was there on my most recent visit for lunch with friends we split the Ginger Sesame Salad and I ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese & Meatballs with gluten free noodles. One friend had the Crab Mac & Cheese which was good and rich with nice chunks of crab. We also ordered drinks and a dessert since one friend wasn't able to drink. For cocktails we got the Amelia which was very tasty and festive. For dessert my friend ordered the brownie with ice cream. I tried it and almost cried lol. It was very rich and melted in your mouth and the ice cream was the best compliment. I look forward to my next visit and exploring more of the menu. read more

Returned to get brunch for the first time in almost 3 years and it's still solid with spacious seating and a wide range of options. They also started doing collaborations - Barney Greengrass was on-deck this week with the whitefish salad, pastrami, and lox bagels - which is a refreshing twist. The egg benedicts are still the must-try brunch items, as they are served on thicky, fluffy brioche. They also have a lobster option as well now. Worth a visit if you are by Columbus Circle since it's right across the street on the 5th floor of Nordstrom. read more

Who would have thought there was good food, great service, and an amazing view inside of women's Nordstrom on the 5th floor? All the dishes were equally delicious. First of all, the outdoor ambience on the rooftop was incredible. Our waiters were super friendly and accommodating, even switching my friend's drink when it wasn't what she anticipated which was wonderful. The drinks were strong and for happy hour the prices couldn't be beat for legit cocktails with a kick. The calamari and spinach artichoke dip were also delicious. Conveniently located on Level 5 of Nordstrom's flagship in NYC! We stopped by for their summer pop-up on their outdoor patio which has an Aperol inspired theme. I go here at least once a month. The service is fantastic. The wait staff, the manager and especially my favorite bartender Jose make it worth the visit. It is a great atmosphere and it makes visiting the store worthwhile. I usually purchase online for pick up in store so that I could drop by. We discovered the Shoe Bar in 2020 and found out about Bistro Verde later. I get my usual, the Nordstrom burger with the Beyond patty, no cheese and French fries and a French 75 (2 ) on the side. I have brought my sister, mother, aunt and best friends here on various occasions. It is worth visiting and oh yeah Nordstrom is also worth the visit. read more

Surprisingly the food here is very tasteful. I came here with one of my friends for lunch after shopping (loved that there is a restaurant within Nordstrom, makes it very convenient). I hate giving 3 stars, but there were 3 too many things wrong. Pros *Artichoke and Spinach dip: savory and flavorful. By far the highlight of the meal. Drizzle some olive oil over the break for a little more richness. *The blueberry almond with ice cream was slamming. Fantastic like a nice light crunch while maintaining moistness. *Nelson, our waiter, was FANTASTIC!!! We love him! Cons *The fry on the halibut was great, but the chips were just ok. What was truly disappointing on the plate were the pickles. They didn't know if they wanted to be sweet or sour. Essentially they were some soggy cucumber slices. *Seared Steak and Bleu Cheese It sounded so good on the menu, but this really misses the mark. Everything needed a smaller dice to match the size of the barley, especially the pears. The kale was too tough and could have benefitted from a smaller slice. The barley should have been cooked till softer. And when you say steak and blue cheese, your expect something richer, which is because could have been achieved with more bleu cheese. I would come back again for a quick bite/coffee while shopping but if you are looking for an exceptional dining experience, in my opinion, this ain't it. read more

An unsuspected surprise when a gem of a restaurant is nestled in a department store. Our waitress wasn't the most helpful or friendliest, but we may have caught her in a bad night. We headed here after my daughter finished running the NYC Marathon and it was the perfect selection for all of us being hungry after a long day. The burger had to be cut in half to eat it and although I ate to much, there were zero regrets. It was the burger (3 of 8 8 of us ordered and finished it) you seriously get a handful of times in a lifetime- serious golf clap to the chef! My daughter and three others went with the French Dip that was toasted and seasoned to perfection. And the fries matched both sandwiches perfectly. It took awhile to get the meal (maybe 20ish) minutes so things are likely made fresh which is good. The seating area large with tables that can accommodate 2-4 at tables. There is also a bar with seating. Staff were friendly. My order was nicely packed to go in recyclable boxes. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! I was worried since there wasn't much for vegetarians on the menu. However the cashier was helpful in suggesting the mushroom campanelle without chicken ($22.50). This was really good! Comes with a garlic bread slice. I got the roasted cauliflower with ginger sesame ($19). The portion size was huge! Definitely shareable. It's a salad with a bed of cauliflower and crispy wontons sprinkled on. Dressing on the side. Finally for dessert I got the signature lemon ricotta cookie ($4). I really liked the food here and everyone was super friendly. I wish I had tried this place sooner because I shop at Nordstrom often enough. The burrata was SO good, I just wish it had more bread. What was especially good about it was the quality of the tomatoes. They were so sweet, fresh, and light. I was also pleasantly surprised by the pesto on the bottom. The only thing I wish about this appetizer is for more crouton pieces, since there were only like four or so tiny pieces of bread to put the burrata onto. The French dip was also really good! This is the first one I've ever had in my life though so I have nothing else to compare it to, so I only have a picture to offer. I really liked it but my boyfriend said he has had better (I mean he still said it was quite good). The simple salad was clean. Was famished after a little shopping inside the new Nordstrom. Decided upon grabbing grub here and it was a great choice. Upon being seated we scanned the dinner menu since brunch was almost over and decided to try soups as starters and few appetizers to share. The lobster bisque was a small cup portion but delicious and with good chunks of lobster meat. The fried calamari was definitely my favorite appetizer with an asian inspired twist and a little heat to get you warmed up. The burrata was really tasty with apples and nuts, yum! The halibut fish tacos were a great choice, tasty and good portion of fish to the tacos, and definitely enough for sharing especially after soups and apps. Do NOT get the Halibut & Chips. The halibut is tough, tasteless, and frying it made it worse. Only saving grace of this dish was the fries, but definitely not worth the $25. Bistro Verde Mother Daughter Brunch November 10, 2019 I'm writing this review because I'm still so full from all the food they give you at brunch. I don't think I'll ever feel hungry again. I may not sleep comfortable tonight either. My daughter and I arrived at Nordstrom when they opened at 11am. We didn't need a reservation at Bistro Verde. We were seated immediately. In a few minutes Bruno our server arrived. It was just enough time to decide what we wanted. The brunch comes with complimentary fruit and an Açaí Grape Smoothy Shooter. The shooter was delicious. My daughter ordered coffee. She had a choice of Oat Milk or 4% Milk. She prefers half and half. She said the coffee was very good regardless. I had water. In no time our food arrived. It was a huge plate with huge biscuits. The biscuit was my favorite part. We both agreed the potatoes were disappointing. They weren't crispy as described. My daughter had the Warm Biscuit & Chicken Sausage Gravy. She was surprised there was a piece of chicken sausage included also. I had the 2 Egg Breakfast with Bacon. At first mine came out with sausage. Bruno quickly corrected the error with the kitchen. As we were finishing up Taiquin began clearing the table. Bruno arrived with complimentary chocolates for two. My daughter paid the check and we were off to use the restroom which is in close proximity. The environment is new and modern. Just the right touch of fancy. Employees are very professional and friendly. It was a good experience. The prices are reasonable. My daughter said she would return but get something else. I think I would like to try their regular menu. Only time will tell. I recommend Bistro Verde if your a brunch lover. You won't go away hungry. read more

The review that I'm about to write is my least favorite type of review to write. Where do I even start... I will start with the fact that I don't think this place is called bistro Verde anymore. That should've been sign number one. Nordstrom bistro historically, has always been very consistent and one of our go tos, but I don't know if we can continue coming back until they start to change things... like bringing back the old chef and staffing adequately so that the bartender doesn't have to be pseudo waitresses outside of their (bar) domain. I'm sad that this is another place I will have to strike off my list, but alas life goes on. read more

The hosts were rude, but the rest of the wait staff was very kind, quick, and accommodating. The music was extremely loud and headache provoking. Cocktails were on point. We each got a lemon and berry crepe from the seasonal brunch menu. It was nice and light and was a great mid day snack. We shared an order of little pixie fries with aioli and ketchup. I've grown up going to Nordstrom cafes in CA with my parents. I'm so happy that Nordstrom opened in NYC and that Bistro Verde serves the same quality that I've come to expect. I work nearby, so I've gotten quite a few to go orders for lunch. There are some staples that I really love -- of course, the tomato basil soup is a classic. It comes with this delicious garlic crostini that is a perfect addition. Months ago, one of their associates, Enrique, suggested that I go for the kids' menu item which includes tomato basil soup paired with a grilled cheese. Umm, YAS please! I also like their kids' menu chicken tenders. All kids meals come with a fruit cup and a drink. Aside from the kids' menu, I haven't tried much, but I have tried and loved their chicken tacos. They've always packaged my food very well, and I've had no issues. I've gotten quite a few coworkers hooked on this as well, so "Nordstrom lunch" for us has become a wonderful treat. They've also given me great service with occasional extras. One time, they forgot to include the soups from my order. Honest mistake, but what's so amazing is that someone actually brought it over because I couldn't leave work to go back for them. This is why I'll always stay loyal to Nordstrom, food or otherwise -- the unbeatable customer service. They're also apparently on DoorDash/Caviar, which is a total game changer for me. The kids' menu items aren't available on there yet. Last time I went, someone told me that they're actively working on getting that onto the delivery platform. How exciting! read more

Bistro Verde is a restaurant in the newly opened Nordstrom on West 58th Street. Located on the fifth floor, this is an exciting place to eat. Laura and I had come here for lunch on Tuesday of this week. The menu has several options like pastas, salads, pizzas, to suit all tastes. We both began our meal with the celebrated lobster soup. This was ambrosia in a cup and accompanied by a piece of crispy baguette grilled with cheese. As her main course, Laura chose the crispy halibut tacos. Three ale battered tacos arrived with pickled vegetables, avocado, radishes and a miso slaw. Laura managed to eat only two tacos. For my main course, I had the skirt steak served with crispy Parmesan potatoes, a watercress salad and salsa Verde. Aah! These potatoes were bursting with flavor and each bite was making me happy. On the other hand the watercress salad needed extra seasoning. We both wanted desserts. Laura had the white chocolate raspberry rice pudding and I had the apple crostata. I have been dreaming about the crostata as the apples mingled with the ice cream was simply heavenly. A week prior to our lunch here we had eaten a rather mediocre meal at Hani Pacific on the lower ground floor. As we traversed the floors, every sales person told us to go to Bistro Verde. So we went up there and decided to have the caramel cheesecakes for our dessert. Laura mentioned our sad experience to Adam, the lead server who brought us a cup of lobster soup. The high quality of this soup made us make a lunch reservation immediately for the following week. From Adam to Ciana and Britney, the two charming hostesses and Lenny, the restaurant manager, everyone made us feel welcomed and took great care of us. John, our server at the lunch was personable and had a sense of humor. Bistro Verde is a restaurant that delivers excellent cuisine and is highly recommended.
