Another work lunch adventure. Nine of us ordered from this place via seamless (or gurbhub... can't remember). One person said their food was "OK", one person said their chicken was "nice and juicy... likely cuz I ordered a whole chicken" and seven of us absolutely gave them the thumbs down. Those of us who didn't like our food all had the same to say "It was bland, tasteless and dry". I got a 1/2 chicken with a a chicken soup as a side and an extra side of rice mixed with vegetables. It looked good when I opened it. The chicken skin was OK tasting... but, the rest of the meat was pretty tasteless and the breast meat was absolutely dry. The soup was a bit on the oily side and the vegetables in it were melted. To make matters worse, multiple items were not delivered. Even though we provided our names to have our lunch orders labeled, nothing was (why is this a big deal?... well, everything has to be opened and handled by someone at work who is not necessarily the rightful rector said order). Absolutely will strike this place out of our work lunch rotation. We agreed to give this place a go based on all the good reviews (even cross referenced with Yelp)... makes you wonder if the reviews are trustworthy. 02/17/26 update: My coworkers and office crew noted that ALL missing items from our order were delivered after a phone later that day. If you're looking for a delicious affordable chicken dinner, reach out to Poulette. I've been getting pickup and delivery orders from them for years now, and have never been disappointed. It's a modest storefront without much seating, so best for grab and go. According to Poulette their chickens are free range. Not sure about that (I would need proof:), but their poultry is certainly tender with well crisped skin. The set chicken meals come with two sides (or four if ordering a whole chicken). I would recommend the rotisserie chicken over fried preparation (which I found to be dry and bland). Personal side faves are their mac and cheese (sooo good!), ratatouille veggies and ceasar salad. Dipping sauces are free, I usually get BBQ and/or dijon mustard. They'll cut half or whole chicken orders into quarters, eighths etc. for convenient dining as well. I love a well cooked chicken. I especially love rotisserie and I've been eyeing Poulette during my per diem rounds in the area. Today was the day I would feast! I was not disappointed. I ordered their decently priced lunch special, consisting of a 1/2 chicken, one side and choice of sauce. I opted for mac & cheese, and it was very good. I requested all dark meat and they obliged. The side dishes intrigued me so I ordered an extra 3 sides for $12. Everything was very good and very French. It's simple and done well. Getting three sides and the 1/2 lunch option actually comes out as a better deal than their 1/2 chicken with two sides meal, so keep that in mind. It's only a dollar more. The food came hot and ready to eat, and they don't skimp with the portions. Their chickens are not pumped full of hormones so they're normal sized, meaning you might want to get a 1/2 chicken for one person and not a quarter, because they're small chickens. I tried their sautéed brussel sprouts, which were really nice. Their string beans and mushrooms were ok but definitely needed a final sprinkle of salt. The corn with parmesan side is really good, and definitely add that squeeze of lemon juice. Even their sauces are good. I got the chipotle mayo included and it is probably one of the best chipotle mayo I've ever had. I also got an extra herb mayo and that was really good as well. You can tell they really incorporate herbs into the mayonnaise, by the look and taste. I will definitely be ordering again on my next rotation downtown. read more

Just make sure you check the bag before you leave! The food is a 10/10, but there is one younger girl that works at the register that seems to "miss" including the sauces in your bag if you don't leave her a 'good-enough' tip. But funny that the sides turned out decent. The Mac and cheese was not bad. The corn and parm pretty standard. Delicious lunch special! I ordered online - it was ready fast. Pickup was easy and the staff was very friendly. I had the quarter chicken lunch special, which comes with two sides (for me, Caesar salad and Mac and cheese). Chicken skin was perfectly crisp, white meat was incredibly tender and came right off the bone. Max and cheese had good flavor, and was creamy without being overwhelming (almost a mac salad texture). Fairly new French Roasted Chicken spot, I found this on my Meal Pal lunch plan and was very excited to try. First, I love French food, second, who doesn't like roasted chicken?! I'll give it 3.5 stars but with an opportunity to star up. The space is cozy, simply decorated and feels like a good to-go spot or for a brief sit down dining. It's menu is limited - roasted chicken, you choose the portion size and some sides. The flavors are on point, nice char and seasoning. However my 1/4 chicken was a bit on the dry side. The sign says made to order but I think mine was a bit in the oven too long or it was not brined enough when marinating. Still, the place has promise. I'd like to try it again just to see if I had bad luck the first visit, as I said, the flavors were good. I didn't try anything else besides the side of vegetables and rice. Came here on a cold January Wednesday. The space inside is super cozy and warmed me right up! When I came, the place was empty and there was just 3 folks working. But I loved how clean the space was and the fact you could see the rotisserie chicken was awesome. The Poulette Sandwich was good! I enjoyed the herb Mayo and chicken combo but the sandwich was a bit dry and under sauced. The baguette was also SUPER hard... wish it was warmed a bit. Would have made all the difference. Also got a Caesar salad on the side, which was standard and nothing special. The great service and ambiance / coziness of the place pushed the rating to 4 stars for me. The chicken here is fantastic. The roasted chicken was prepared well, marinated in all that spice. Nice and juicy, not dry. The wing, esp the salt and lime, was phenomenal, crunchy to the bone. On par with Bonchon chicken. However, the buffalo wing was kind of soggy in the sea of buffalo sauce. I'm not sure whether this was suppose to be this way, but if the they can do like double fry techniques, the chicken wing might still be crunchy. I like having more lunch options in Midtown and Poulette seemed like a nice addition. I wasn't crazy hungry but wanted something small so I settled on getting two small sides. I chose their roasted potatoes and Mac and cheese. I love a good Mac and cheese place and it's been a little difficult finding a really good one (I do like the smith's Mac and Cheese if you're looking for it in the area). The roasted potatoes are solid and seasoned well. The Mac and cheese however, was seriously lacking. It was just a plain Mac and cheese. It didn't have any bread crumbs to amp up the texture and it was just boring. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't go here if I had a Mac and cheese craving. The women behind the counter also seemed like she was in a terrible mood. I placed my order and then had a question about the menu and she just repeatedly kept saying how much I owed... Ummm, ok.. I was asking something about the menu but go ahead and aggressively repeat the price to me. That whole ordeal just gave me a bad taste. I really have no idea why people are rating four and five stars for this place because it is... not great. I just ordered using UberEATS and was very disappointed. The reviews hyped me up and I think the food was strongly deserving of three stars. I got the lunch special sandwich with french fries ($12.95). First of all, I didn't know that I ordered the lunch special sandwich as opposed to the regular sandwich because UberEATS did not even have a lunch order sandwich on the menu. I guess the regular sandwich size must be bigger because the sandwich I got was definitely quite small. Aside from size, the chicken in the sandwich was insanely dry... like, Sahara-desert level dry. It was incredible. I would love to know how such a thing could have happened, especially when considering the four and five star reviews' praises of moistness. The side of fries was actually pretty big, and, funnily enough, the two items' boxes were the same size. That should give you an idea of how much sandwich there was. The fries were not bad. Some were soggier simply due to condensation created during delivery but most of them were pretty decent. I would normally be fuming if I paid full price for this meal, but I was fortunate to have had a $15 UberEATS credit so I only paid $4.09. I will not be returning. read more

There probably hasn't been a week in the last year that I haven't gotten food here. It's simple, healthy and perfect for when I want something with less carbs. The chicken is delicious, the sides are amazing and the service great. The sauces(I miss free sauces) and seasonal sides really make this place. The wings (salt and pepper) are pricey, but worth it. The cashiers who work here are simply the best, super friendly and helpful (love Janet)... except that one girl who for whatever reason hates working there (you cant keep me from coming back!). The deliciousness of the sides can be pretty hit or miss depending on the day, so they could use some quality control in that regard. read more

Been going here since it opened a couple of years ago. Really great option in the neighborhood. I've had most things on the menu by this point and I think the two standouts are the chicken sandwich and the wings. The sandwich is an absolutely delicious combo of mixed greens, chicken and their garlic mayo which is one of the best sauces I've ever had. Served on really fresh bread too. Probably not their most popular item but I really can't recommend it enough. Also their wings are (somewhat unsurprisingly) also really good. No frills, fried wings in a standard buffalo sauce but they really are way above average. I think because they're higher quality chicken than normal.
