We come here at least once every two months for either lunch or dinner. It is kinda costly on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's always the exact same food, I truly wished they would add something new to the food line. It's pretty good food depending on what you choose. They get extremely packed on the weekends and you can wait up to an hour. The place gets pretty dirty and they need to do a better job of keeping this place clean! Mizuki is a solid choice for lunch. For $17.99 you get a great selection of sushi and hot foods to choose from. I like to come here especially when I can't decide where to eat or when I want AYCE sushi. For a buffet they have decent tasting sushi! I have been coming here since this restaurant first opened, a few months ago I still come on Saturdays usually weekends will have a lot of good food but last night I went out for dinner with my family, 1 person $40 but I don't care mind the price as i've been coming here for a long time the service and the food is always good but last night i was really very bad the food was stale and so was the sushi i sympathize with the COVID-19 twice before me the old food was not good but I'm still OK and this time I will never come again. Absolutely ridiculous that dinner for 2 parents, a 12 year old, and 6 year old was $150. They REQUIRE you to tip. There is absolutely no option not to leave a tip. I have no problem leaving a 25% tip when service is great, but it's non existent here. The food is better at Panda Express. They give you plastic gloves when you get there to use when handling the utensils at the buffet, which is totally understandable during Covid, but if they don't enforce it, what's the point? My favorite restaurant when I come to Seattle. It's buffet! The place is clean and spacious. The food is delicious and lots of variety, mostly Chinese and hey have a carving station. I came here Feb. 14th 2023, the carb smelled like cat pee and tasted horrible, the most digesting crab I have ever seen or tasted I'm afraid I will get sick from it. we told the front desk lady she needs to check the crab because it will make people sick and all she had to say was No and she eats is everyday and we were the only people that have ever complain about it then ate the one that we showed her as soon as she opened it it smelled horrible. Our daughter wanted to come to Mizuki for her birthday. She absolutely loves seafood and they have a great selection here. There were nine of us in our party, and we we're seated in a separate room, as far away from the buffet as humanly possible, so that was a little odd. Also, the room was very full with other parties and was very warm as well. Onto the buffet.... We really enjoyed the wide range of choices in the buffet. I had prime rib, baby back ribs, pasta, fried shrimp, lobster tails, fried rice, and some other random side items. My daughter went for all seafood. They also have a very nice selection of desserts as well. Tiny cheesecakes, green tea ice cream (as well as other flavors), and a chocolate fountain with lots of dipping choices! I am always one to try sushi & seafood while on vacation especially if I will be near a coast. I was excited to try the Mizuki Buffet because we were staying nearby. I read some reviews from different all you can eat buffets and decided to try this one. FOOD: There is a lot of different food here to try. From sushi to hibachi to different meats and sides, the possibilities seem endless. I was mainly here for sushi. Now mind you, this is not a cheap place to eat, so I was really banking on the sushi options to be worth the cost. I have to say that I definitely expected more of a variety in the availability especially for the price. Don't get me wrong, there was roughly 10 different options to choose from, but all of them were kind of the same and didn't offer much variety in fish. I ate almost everything that was offered, but really didn't feel like the sushi was all that great. I would suggest that a big place like this should offer two different styles of dining where one is for just the sushi, and one is for all the other food offered. I did try some of the other food that was there, but overall, the price seemed too high for what I ate. SERVICE: Being that this is a buffet style restaurant, there isn't a whole lot of service involved aside from someone getting your drinks and picking up plates. Our server was nice though and I didn't experience any issues. OVERALL: I expected this place to be much better than what it ended up being. The sushi was still good, but lacked variety and taste. The price for me seemed way above what the food was. I probably wouldn't come back here if I was in the area, and would travel further to experience someplace new. read more

My experience here was a rollercoaster, walk in sit down and get handed our assortment of silverware. Nice, walk over to the sushi line and see a wide variety of rolls, great. But, there were no names for any of the rolls and it was a big guessing game of what they all were. None were bad the first time around. Second helping we decide to see what else they have to offer, they had Mac n cheese, it was about the same as every other buffet Mac n cheese, but weirdly had a little spice to it? Was nice but unexpected. Mashed potatoes tasted instant and like they didn't have enough water mixed in, no gravy was on the line to go along with them. Tbh that was about the extent of the American food. They did have a wide variety of seafood. The pork buns were kinda mushy and like they've been there for a WHILE. Third helping came around and decided to go for another round of sushi. Was okay till I got a piece that the fish inside was like a gummy worm and that completely ruined my appetite and almost put my dinner back on the table if you know what I mean. To sum it up, food was not hot but lukewarm, (except pork buns) food taste: sushi wise was okay, other food pretty decent, service from waitress was amazing, ( I drink drinks like a fish and not once did our cups go empty), all of this experience would have been okay but $88 for two people not including tip is ALOT for mediocre food. The experience would have been better if the food was atleast hot, less old, and sushi bar had listed what each were. The inside is beautiful, staff was amazing, but the price for the poor food is why I won't be coming back. If the food was atleast hot the price would be okay. If you like seafood, you will love Mizuki buffet. We went Mizuki for a weekend dinner. We had a party of six and two of us arrived first. The hostess was very nice giving us a table first while waiting the other four. They also have a covered waiting area, which is quite thoughtful for Seattle weather. If you like seafood, you will love this place. The seafood is very fresh. Probably one of buffets that providing the freshest seafood. The sushi and sashimi are so tender and moisten that they glisten under the light. They have a special type of shrimp that you hardly see in other buffet places, and it's sweet and delicious. For the sushi and sashimi lovers, this is perfect. For the hot seafood dishes, I like the steamed crab and stir fried lobster. Remember those dry empty crab legs you found in those cheap buffets? You never see them here. The crab meat is full, moisten and firm, totally worth the effort to crack them open. The Chinese style stir fried lobster is a very popular dish, and they goes out fast once refilled. I was lucky to be there just after the refill. The fresh sweet meat from the lobster tail is excellent. It's hard to find another lobster dish like this in other buffets in the area. Clams, mussels and crawfish are good too. If you're not into seafood, you still have some good choices of prime ribs, beef brisket, sausage and so on. I also see some deep fried frog legs. For vegetarians, the options are quite limited though. The cold appetizer section has some interesting Asian delicacy dishes like pig ears and stomachs, as well as seaweed, soft boiled peanuts. Kids love the chocolate fountain in the dessert section. The ice cream is quite solid and very hard to scope up though. For the weekend dinner, the cost is about $30 per adult and $15 per child. Mizuki is a pretty decent buffet (or boofay as Brian S would call it). While there's an emphasis on Pan-Asian dishes, you will also find more typical buffet dishes such as prime rib. Quite an impressive sushi selection too, which happily, does include octopus. I've been here a few times, and will tell you that the food is better when it is crowded because it doesn't sit out so long. We came here mid-afternoon on the 4th of July and there were only a few customers and the food wasn't quite as fresh as on other occasions. Another note: the steam table for the prime rib doesn't do the best job keeping the prime rib hot. Even though the server sliced my prime rib and I ate it almost immediately, it was lukewarm at best. Still, it was very good quality prime rib. Mizuki has a nice selection of seafood and several different soups. I liked that you can gorge on fresh fruit and vegetables if high-cal or non-vegetarian dishes aren't tempting you. Dessert is good. They've got a chocolate fountain (think Salty's on Alki buffet) that you can dip marshmallows in. I particularly liked the vanilla custard and decent selection of ice cream. But best of all is that they have crème brulee. Yes! Service is very good. While you have to rely on your table service for refills, they come by frequently , making sure your glasses are full. You pay your server and they watch you pretty closely, meaning when they see you going for dessert, they know it is time to bring you the check. read more

Buffets mean it's time to remove the belt... I came here with my family of 10 to celebrate my uncles birthday. It's a bit on the pricier side for a buffet on a Sunday night. It's currently $27.99/per person so you can already imagine the cost it's going to be for a party of 10. Let's talk food. In the back there is the infamous sushi section. Everyone comes to this buffet cause it's all you can eat sushi and sushi is darn expensive. You start on the very right side and move left. There are a few rolls, few sashimi, some deep fried fish, some sashimi salads, more rolls and then the pickled ginger and wasabi and spicy mayo. I'm not a huge fan of sashimi but there are a few choices (around 5-7 or so). The rolls. They aren't 5 star quality or anything but they are good enough to make you content. My personal favorite would have to be the shrimp tempura roll with seared salmon on top. I am quite the sucker for seared salmon though. There also is the roll with tempura in it with eel on top which is pretty good as well. Most of the rolls have either shrimp or crab in them which kind of limits the type of sushi they have. I was hoping for spider rolls and dragon rolls, but of course they wouldn't have it since they're trying to maximize profit. Go down to the front and you have your hot foods section. You start on the very left and usually during dinner time there is already a long line so you actually have to wait through the whole thing rather than cutting into the place you want to be at. The first section begins with a few hot foods, and some sort of Alfredo pasta that does not look edible ... Looks completely gross. There is also garlic bread but it's been in the oven for too long and it lacks garlic flavor. Then you have the meat guy who's carving up either sausage, prime rib or ribs. I tried all of them and to be honest, the sausage is probably the best even though it's pretty fatty and oily. The prime rib was way too salty, and the ribs were just dry. Not too happy with that. Then you move along and you find some bacon wrapped shrimp (not good, you would think you couldn't go wrong with bacon, but they just did) and a few more selections before you hit the soup. They have siu mai but it is disgraceful to all dim sum places. This siu mai was just gross. Then they have the king crab. The thing everyone rushes to get because it's so expensive and they want to be able to eat 28$ worth. To be honest, the crab isn't fresh. The crab is too salty. The crab is really dry. It's not even worth it. They have hot and sour soup, miso soup and some odd soup that could possibly be egg flower but doesn't really look like it. Then you hit the fried stuff like fried chicken, French fries, curly fries, fried shrimp and sesame balls and sesame biscuits. I'm going to say that the sesame biscuits are probably the best thing in the hot foods section. They are like mini sugared donuts that are incredibly fluffy and warm on the inside. I went back in line just to hoard these. The next section has Chinese food. You have fried rice, stir fried noodles, chow fun, general tsao, chicken and broccoli, etc. The stir fried noodles were okay, chow fun was eh, and the general tsao was pretty good. It was really saucy which was sort of nice. Then you get to a mini salad section, some fruits and jello and pudding, and then the desserts. They have a chocolate fountain that you can dip things in but they only have marshmallows... What? Where are the strawberries at!? You can't just dip marshmallows! Though I did sneak in dipping a pineapple. I like their dessert selection even though it wasn't really that great. They had a lot that other buffets don't have. They have cream puffs covered in chocolate (they're big, not the small ones). They have one kind of cookie (not good), and little chocolate cakes with jam in them (it's ok). They also have this weird sesame cracker thing which wasn't good. And also mini cupcakes. These cupcakes are completely store bought, you can taste it in the frosting. Then in this mini fridge they have cheesecake, berry cheesecake and oreo cheesecake in mini form. I like how they have cheesecake because most places don't offer cheesecake. The berry cheesecake was my favorite. It's really creamy. The crust could be crunchier, but it's okay. They have mini creme brûlée which was pretty good, and a vanilla pudding. I also saw these little edible chocolate cups holding a small amount of vanilla pudding inside which was alright. Then they have a mousse like thing with a jelly coating on top. It's kinda coffee like and it was alright as well. Then there's ice cream. It has a good amount of selections (6-8 kinds?) ranging from mint to cookies n creme to even green tea. There are two scoopers which makes it hard since everyone is waiting. They have these small cups you put them in and mini spoons. I actually liked having the mini spoons there to scoop ice cream from. Overall, 2 stars. Donut, sushi & desserts. read more

I tried this place for the first time about a month ago with my boo thang for lunch. It was pretty impressive when I did my walk through. However the lunch offerings weren't as great as I thought. The sushi though was pretty good. We paid $17 for lunch and someone can easily get $17 worth by eating sushi. The cool thing about this buffet was we were still there as they were getting ready for dinner. Since they were switching out their food, we got a little samps of it. I would've ate more but I was already full. Haha, come at the right time when it's lunch but closer to the dinner time to have both options! The one downside was the self-serve ice cream, because it might not be healthy with people getting their own ice cream. You never know if their hands are clean or if it's a kid. The dessert selection wasn't bad though. If you're around the area, I'd try it. I don't suggest going out of your way to come here though. The star rating is only a comparison to other Asian buffets around the area. You do pay more comparatively. For a cheaper option, I would go to the Main Japanese Buffet in Federal Way. If I wanted to splurge a little, I'd go here for sure. Comparing to all buffets in general. This place is much better than the Spice Bay Buffet at the Muckleshoot as far as choices and flavor (except when Spice Bay has hot crab leg night - i'd go there just for that - this place had crab legs but they were on ice like most other places). If I was rating just on food without the notion that its buffet food, It would get a 3 star. We came here yesterday (Friday Night). Got in a little early (4:45 PM) and the food and sushi were all very fresh. Since it was a weekend dinner service, their full menu was out. I am assuming that you don't get prime rib, lamb chops and bbq ribs during all services. Staring with the not so good. The prime rib was a little chewy, I wanted her to slice me off from the new rack but she gave me a slice of the less attractive looking older one. Their greek style muscles - meh, did not like that flavor - it was sour and garlic-y. Their baked cod - was so so, very mushy, overcooked (beyond overcooked firm) and sat too long in its own juices on the serving pan. The only sushi I didn't really care for was the one with a green jalapeno on top. Flavors just didn't go well together. I almost spit it out. Mini lobster tails did not taste like lobster what so ever. But at least it didn't taste like a shoe though. What I did love and did go back for more was the white tuna sushi. That was delicious. It had an onion, ginger relish type of sauce on it. Their sauteed manila clams. Very subtle flavor to this, so I recommend you eat it first. Their Roasted Chicken. Almost tasted like Chinese bbq duck. Crispy slightly salty skin, tender meat. Bacon wrapped shrimp. What's not to like with anything bacon wrapped! They had a pretty good teriyaki but it was not my priority when I go to a place like this. The rest of the sushi was mediocre but still much better than any other sushi buffets around, that includes the Main Japanese Buffet. Almost as good at Todai in its hayday. For sure a lot better than Todai when it went downhill. - Now I wonder if this place give a free birthday meal? I would go back just to try some of the deserts. They look fresh and they have the deep fried sugar rolls that I love with a la mode. Also had fried bananas which I also love a la mode. Filled myself so much that I couldn't and shouldn't try the deserts last night. Service was great. Not once did my used plate sit long on the table. It was cleaned and picked up before I got back from getting another plate. Very attentive. What I thought was neat was that they had areas where they were to stand when at idle which was out of the way. Also, they asked if I wanted to keep my utensils before they took the plate away. Environment: The owners/builders must have gotten a fire sale for granite and stone. There is no soft (drywall) surface what so ever. The bathroom is ridiculous. Literally granite everywhere - sink, walls, floor, and i think ceiling too. They have this cool hand dryer which doesn't just blow your hand dry, it prevents the water from dripping or spraying everywhere. Dries your hand both sides at a time. They have some pretty cool urinals too. lol. As far as the restaurant as a whole. I do like the shiny/glass surfaces on the areas that need to be maintained and cleaned for sanitary reasons. Very smart. I have serious cleanliness ocd. This was the reason I didn't go and try the chocolate fountain. There was a little boy that kept going back to this and kept dipping anything and everything with chocolate. Which its is own right is genius, but he was making a mess of things. Clearly his parents couldn't read the sign that said children under 12 cannot self serve. Not the fault of the restaurant. Overall impression: Its now more than 18 hours since I ate there and I am not violently hurling my insides. Food is good. I'd go back. We were going to Claim Jumper initially but changed our mind when we saw this new place right across. This new buffet was opened a week ago already. I think this is one of the very best in this area. The decor is so very contempory with granites and bricks installed on all the walls. The buffet lines are so long. Starting with ice cream and dessert at the entrance; then salad, seafood, cold and hot and lines, it seems endless. The sushi station is separated at the other end offering good quality of sashimi, rolls. The presentation look nice. Besides the many seafood choices, I liked their American items like baked cod, roast beef, and their clam chowder is awesome! I really like their open kitchen concept where they char-broiled and grilled food as well as many Asian choices right in front of your eyes . For $10.99 it is really worth it for all you can eat lunch. Will go back for dinner with our family again soon. Good ambience, nice and clean. Service, excellent. The thing that I love most about Mizuki is how fresh the sushi/sashimi is- not just for a buffet, but in general. There's a wide variety of sushi rolls, sushi and sashimi. The salmon is my favorite! I tried the oysters a couple times, but for some reason they don't seem fresh so after trying it a couple times during visits, I don't even bother. The hot food is really good for a buffet as well. They have a lot of different meats and seafood. If you go on the weekends, they have crab and lobster- the crab is pretty good, the lobster is okay- it comes in a sauce, but there's not much meat and it doesn't seem too fresh. The Asian food is really good and they have a huge dessert section. Overall, I feel like if you like sushi, it is worth coming to this sushi buffet over other sushi buffets. read more
