I've been to Mizuki about four times now and will keep coming for lunch when in the area. They have a wide selection of sushi (and sashimi), hot food and desserts. They do not have much of a salad selection - just your basic greens, beets, boiled egg, peas, carrots... The carving station includes prime rib, sirloin, ham, ribs. Salmon and stuffed mushrooms are also part of the carving station. Hot food include baked Cod (my favorite), Gen Tso Chicken, lobster claws, crawfish, sweet and sour pork, mussels, shrimp to name a few. They have a couple of dimsum items as well as crab legs and peel and eat shrimp. Desserts are abundant - fruit, cakes, ice cream and a chocolate fountain. I only go for lunch on Sundays and it's always been busy. I try and make it there no later than noon and there is no wait. The buffet is reasonably priced at $22.99 for adults on weekends. Deducted one star for lack of service. The servers do not seem to care, lack training and gather in the service station chatting with one another rather than focus on their tables. just had dinner here with my hubby. got there at about 5pm and it wasn't busy at all. we got seated right away. i thought the food was okay. nothing really screaming at me tell me to eat it!! but i tried a little of almost everything. the hot meat section...ribs, prime rib, and sausage. i ate the prime rib and it taste like it was cooked then frozen, then thawed, then heat and serve. it had a strange texture and taste. such a waste because it was a real chunk of prime rib. the sausage was okay. taste like hill shire sausage. dim sum and tempura section... most of the items were okay. the miso was good. the mandoo was good too. Chinese section... they had fried rice, chow fun, chicken broccoli, orange chicken, black bean clams, crab, lobster, fish, squid and some other stir fry things. it was like being at panda express. the food was always hot. i like that they only put a little out at a time so that the food doesn't get cold or start to dry out. the sushi section... amazingly the sushi was edible. I'm a bit iffy about eating sushi at a buffet because it just sits there. the only thing that i would say is that the rolls are so mediocre and they need to take some classes on inventing their rolls. they don't even make the crab salad in the crab roll. its just a piece of imitation crab. nothing great about that!!! over all i would say that this was one of the better buffets buy just a hair. they are all so-so to me!! i have to say the waiters are very nice. they dont talk much but are very tentative!! thanks Ricky for always coming and checking up on us!! read more

This place is an EXCELLENT deal, I just hope it doesn't go out of business like it's Todai predecessor -- because it is better quality and (adjusting for inflation) slightly cheaper. The sushi bar is complete with oysters on the half-shell, seaweed salad, dozens of delicious rolls.... Granted I have been living in Texas for the past couple years so my standard of sushi has dropped slightly despite being a West Coast native, but for all-you-can-eat? Incredible. If you venture beyond the sushi bar (and there is MUCH more to be explored -- fondue bar, soup bar, meat bar, seafood bar, dessert bar, fruit bar....) get the fried donuts. So fresh and warm, mmmm.... And the dragonfruit (which is hounded over immediately after being cut up, so be quick!). Also, big bonus to this place's more obscure location is that not all Southcenter Mall patrons know about it (even though it's just down the road), so you're not going to have a huge wait even when the mall is thoroughly packed. read more

Food is good, but, if you don't understand any Mandarin, my suggestion for you would be:" be aware when you're looking around the food, because you never know what are those chefs talking about you!" On Wednesday which is on 10/24, I went to this Mizuki Buffet and tried to get some Sashimi from the Sushi section. My bf and I was looking for the Sashimi that we want, but suddenly, one of the chef (there are three chefs working there) says:"eat or not, if no, then get the ( ) out of here." He said it pretty loud in Mandarin and I understood. I was shock because I have never ever heard any thing like THIS from the chef in any restaurants. So I asked him in Mandarin, "Excuse me! What did you just say?!" He got shock at first place cuz he thought I don't understand what he was saying, but still answer like, "no, I didn't say anything." When he was saying this sentence, his face is like he doesn't care! And I said, "me and bf heard it! You said:"eat or not, if no, then get the ( ) out of here!!" "No~ I was talking to my partner, right?" He asked the other chef who just walked besides him from the other side (btw, that rude guy was standing in the middle of the whole sushi section). The funnest thing is, his partner turned his face to him with all the "question marks" on his face and we saw it! And One more thing! His partner wasn't eating anything, so I was like "do you understand the words you're saying aren't match the beginning of the story at all?!" Seriously, I pissed off so badly. The managers said sorry to my bf for many times, but the thing is, would you go to the same place again since you got insulted from there at your first time visit?! HECK NO!!!! This is a good restaurant to eat at. Food is very good, there's a good variety and the place is very clean. Unfortunately, when we went there to eat for Veterans Day at lunch time, I thought they offer the regular lunch price they normally have on weekdays at $14+. I am not expecting freebies for veterans, but at least offer the weekday lunch special price of about $14+ even just for veterans that they normally would charge and not $22+ per person . Best buffet in King County that I have experienced. Really good deal compared to other buffets around, especially for lunch. Good hot foods, cute little dim sum selection, yummy noodles and fried rice, some meat selections, decent-looking sushi (I usually get too full on the hot foods to bother with the sushi), and nice dessert selection. Really good buffet. My favorite by far. They have a wide variety of food to choose. They have a wide selection of sushi. It's a popular place so the food is fresh and hasn't been under the heat lamp for hours. The price for lunch is pretty reasonable for a buffet. At $25 a plate for dinner it usually has us debating if that's where we're going if we're doing that price range. We do go there for dinner though and they make it worth it by putting out more expensive foods. They have a chocolate fountain going all day. We usually go here for lunch since it's about $13 for all you can eat, and we normally go for the sushi and sashimi. They have a decent selection, and always leave the place satisfied. Great place for the money. Not sure how dinner is since we have never tried it. This is the place we prefer over bluefin in northgate, since the prices are outrageous there. I've heard people rave about Mizuki for awhile, but I was pretty unimpressed with the buffet selection. Aside from the salmon sashimi and the crab legs, I found everything else forgettable. Most of the hot Chinese food seemed like it was straight out of Panda Express, with oil and grease floating at the top. The sushi selection was decent, but the rolls were unimpressive and the sushi rice was definitely not top quality. The salmon sashimi is probably the best choice, but even then it's piled in an unappetizing clump at the sushi bar. They also have a strange American food section with overly creamy pastas and overly sauced ribs. The dessert selection is not much better, with a disappointing chocolate fountain with low quality milk chocolate and over-ripe strawberries. Overall, I ended up eating a ton of salmon sashimi, crab legs, and salad because nothing else was even slightly appealing! read more

I would rate them one star but I did like the setup, some of the food was good & they had a chocolate fountain. The cooked crab was over cooked. The egg sushi was too sweet. Not enough selection for the chocolate fountain in my opinion. The pot stickers or gyoza's as some call weren't even crunchy they were soft. The American food selection was super small. They don't put food back out in a timely fashion. I came with 7 people and we all ended up going to the bathroom while we still were there or shortly after we left. The food ran through us so fast which is a red flag to me. Wondering what quality of food are they using and what they are putting into it. At the end when we got our bill we put the correct amount leaving no tip because our waiter was horrible. As we were walking out they called for us to come back because we owed 4 dollars. The waiter or whoever had to have took the money. We counted the exact amount 4+ times before we handed it to the waiter to take to the front. My suggestion would be take it to the front yourself. I could of gotten a better meal for the same price or a little more. read more

The Mizuki buffet in tukwilla has extremely rude staff. They charged us 50$ tip and when we tried to talk to her she said it was mandatory and she would call the police on us. I left extremely disappointed my friends and I will NEVER come back. read more

Adorable place, Mizuki Buffet, it's very good place to eat with the wide range of food for different tastes, I used to go there with my friend, we are always satisfied with the seafood, meet, fish, fruits, desserts. Very authentic, a little too authentic for me. Salad bar with different fermented vegetable salads. Gelatinous and colorful cold dishes, seaweed salads, and other things I have never seen before. Large sushi selection, and other items such as pig feet and brown boiled whole eggs in sauce. Tofu and brown fungi type thing that looks like tripe but isn't. I attempted to ask one of the chefs what different items were and he didn't know. If you love authentic food, you will love this place. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars, me and my family went to this "restaurant" and everything was fine, we asked for a table for 4 and one baby first of all we were smashed in the smallest corner possible and we asked for a baby seat, they claimed they did not have one, we said fine that is okay they offered a booster seat, we asked for an extra seat for the booster seat and the staff seemed confused by my request, so they moved us to another table, the so called "owner" or "higher up staff" asked us in a super rude tone who had seated us there we simply said that the staff had moved us. She then went on to talk and talk about us being there in a super rude tone, we then had staff and her make a show and we felt super uncomfortable, we decided to let it go because it's fine we get it we were probably not supposed to sit there because she had family or whatever sitting there before, but how were we supposed to know if the staff had sat us there? On top of that we had everyone there just give us bad looks and they kept talking about us clearly and in another language which is fine but we felt unwelcome so we left. You guys missed out on a good 100 bucks but hey we went over to another restaurant and had a great dinner. So I refuse to ever go back to this terrible place! read more

I like them for their variety of sushi. Most buffet places come with a mere 4 types of rolls, but this place has a whole counter with maybe 10+ types to choose from. And since it's a buffet place, you know it comes with more types of food than your family's Thanksgiving feast. And the thing is, the food tastes great. I used to really like this buffet but now, the food is just okay. They definitely need to update their website because I went there last weekend and it cost almost $30 per person. The sushi selection is great, they definitely do have a variety of selections. As for their crabs and lobsters, they only refill the hot containers every 45-1hr. As for other type of food such as stir fry beef/broccoli, stir fry noodles, any type of food that you can find at Panda Express, they refill the containers all the time. I think this is one of the best buffet in the Seattle area. Have a good selection of sashimi and sushi. Great selection of food and taste pretty good. They always have prime rib and BBQ ribs and sometime lobster. Been here many time and would continue to come back. It is buffet sushi. Nothing too exciting but at least they were prompt about refilling my tea. Seating is really crowded so there isn't a lot of space if you need lots for your personal bubble. Otherwise they were really nice and the food wasn't too bad. :) read more

Wow. Walked away from easily 100 dollars worth of food for just under $30. The sushi was incredibly fresh. The selection of food was very wide. This place was really clean and well-serviced. We stopped at Miziki's for lunch today. Their lunch buffet during the week is normally around $15. They do not post their prices and you don't pay until you are done. To say the least, we were very surprised when we got the bill and it was $64 for the two of us. When we questioned them, they said that was their weekend price. The really sad part is that it was just not good at all. The only thing that was hot was the soup. Calamari was cold, salmon was cold, fettuccine was cold, breaded shrimp was cold, General Tso's was cold, stickers were cold, tempura was cold AND greasy. The next time my group at work (20 or so) wants to go somewhere for lunch, I will convince than to go anywhere other than Mizuki's!! read more

Just went there the other day for dinner.......we felt like it was a pretty good value for the price, however, it was kind of a shock to find out that the price of the drinks was ADDITIONAL to the buffet price! So the kids wanted to treat me for father's day present and wanted to know where I wanted to go. I did go to Mizuki a few weeks earlier and thought the food was good so I suggested this place. Well, to my surprise, they decided to charge more for father's day (from 22.99 to 24.99), I thought to myself that it was ok considering it would be a large crowd and they need to have more inventory, unfortunately I was wrong. They ran out of their bacon wrapped shrimp, crab cakes and strawberries within the hour I was there. The prime rib was cut so thin that you could see through it. Misuki, if you're going to charge more than the expectations are higher, step up your game or reduce your prices. read more
