This review is for the doughnuts. For some reason, this Mochinut location makes very good donuts. They're fresh, soft, and most importantly not oily. I think it's because of their pretentious mall location. They have to actually be on par with expectations. They're beautiful and they're fun to snack on because you can separate each individual bite by the circular dome. The boba drinks are floral and put into these cool cups shaped like cans for the aesthetic. The thing that you must have tho are the Korean fried corn dogs. Imagine the taste of a giant mozzarella stick, and you can choose the exterior to fit your preferences. Come here for the hot Cheetos dog with half cheese half dog. We came to Mochinut Sunday early afternoon and stopped by to try this location. The mochinut's didn't look fresh but we still wanted to try it. (Note that many reviews say they aren't fresh). We didn't like the fact that they don't sell each one individually-you're forced to buy a minimum of 3. The texture was still soft and chewy, but since they were sitting there for quite some time, the flavors were crusty and dried up. I think they'd taste better fresh, but the workers don't have a schedule for when new batches are made. If it's your first time trying mochi-donuts you'll probably like them, but as you try competitors this place is definitely at the bottom of the tier. read more

I went today and ordered 3 to share with my family and I was disappointed. All three drinks tasted off and were powdery like it was made incorrectly. There was a guy being extremely rude to the cashier and impatient and the cashier was calm and tried calming him down, she was explaining it all to him and he kept being rude I have to commend her for keeping her cool and being calm and trying to diffuse the situation regardless of him not listening. First, the place is a bit difficult to find. It is South section of South Coast Mall and I sell appointed. There are a lot of restaurants surrounding it and you may walk past it. The selection of mochi-donuts is limited and the woman working was all alone. She did a great job taking care of everyone in line. The product is "ok". It was good but not great.
