Hot Cheeto Hot Dog (with raw batter )
    Amanda S.

I really really wanted to love this place, I was so excited for the opening but have visited twice and was disappointed both times. My main concern is for the hot dog corn dogs, the batter inside is not cooked through. This has happened twice, during their opening week and a couple days ago. The picture below shows a hot cheeto hot dog (not the cheese one) and the liquid is raw batter. My friend got one with half mozzarella and half hot dog, and the mozzarella side was cooked through but the hot dog side had raw batter as well. I wasn't able to eat mine both times. I wanted to call the store to let them know for future reference, maybe adjust cooking times for the hot dog ones? I didn't want to leave a bad review since they are still a new business but they haven't posted a phone number yet. So I hope by posting this review they can see the feedback! And as others have mentioned, the wait time is also pretty lengthy, even though I was the only customer. The first time, I got a couple mochi donuts and the wait time was about 25 minutes, and I was kind of disappointed. The glaze on the taro donut was fully melted and sticky. I do hope they can take this feedback into account because I think their shop could be a great addition to downtown! I live nearby and could see myself going there often if quality improves.

What a perfect addition to this neighborhood! First, the owner is so very nice & personable! He was helpful & seemed to really care about giving fantastic sercice & serving delicious food. Honestly my first Mochi doughnut I liked. It was fresh & tastes great. For us 4, the star is their Mochi dog. Made with grade A beef hot dogs. Simply delicious fried mocha batter

The ube had a smooth, creamy texture with just the right amount of sweetness, but the black sesame was the standout for me. It had a rich, nutty flavor that wasn't overly sweet and quickly became my favorite. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and our order was prepared quickly. Even though it was our first visit, they made the experience easy and enjoyable. The shop has a clean, modern aesthetic with a cozy atmosphere that's perfect for a quick dessert stop.

I ended up buying four different flavors, and we ate one there in the shop. Later that night, both my husband and I developed pretty bad stomach aches. At first, I thought it might have been dinner, but the next day I ate another jar and experienced the same stomach pain, and my husband did as well after eating his. We also noticed that the jelly seemed much more watery than we expected. The store itself was very warm during our visit, the bathroom was out of service, and the cashier wasn't particularly friendly. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we don't think we'll be returning.

They have an impressive variety of drinks and desserts, and I especially love that their snow/bingsu comes in three different sizes (small, medium, large), making it perfect whether you're treating yourself or sharing with friends. On my latest visit, I tried the Banana Matcha drink, and the flavor was delicious. The banana layer on the bottom is a nice touch and you can clearly taste both the matcha and banana. My only note is that I wish the layer on top was a bit thicker for a creamier texture. Even so, the quality and consistency keep me coming back. If you're craving shaved snow desserts, soft serve or unique drinks, Snowtime is always worth a visit!

The A/C was blasting so it was a bit cold eating our soft serve but it's better than being hot! The taro soft serve was good, a little more tart than I'm used to but good! The Taiyaki was freshly made. I would have liked more custard but I'll know next time to ask. Toppings were ok, the coconut and almonds would be much better toasted. The Black Sesame was inert but gave it texture. The banana latte was delicious! Creamy on top, mild coffee flavor, and the banana came through nicely. Big cup also! We'll definitely be back!

I ordered the Yumberry Yogurt Drink, Peach Gum Drink, and Grape Yogurt Drink. I got all of them at 30% sweetness, and they were still pretty sweet, so I'd recommend ordering them with even less sugar if you prefer drinks that aren't overly sweet. Even though they're always busy with orders, it wasn't crowded inside. I was able to find a seat since most people just grab their drinks and leave. The drinks are very fruit-forward and taste incredibly fresh and high quality. If you enjoy fruity drinks, this place is definitely worth trying. My favorite was the Yumberry Yogurt Drink because it was so unique--I've never had anything quite like it before. It reminded me a bit of a mulberry drink with a creamy yogurt twist, and I'd definitely order it again.

The bingsoo was delicious and not too sweet, loaded with fresh strawberries and a big cheesecake wedge. It's especially great for a hot summer day. The portion size was good to share between two people. The toast was yummy but does have a sweeter taste profile due to the honey drizzle on top. Overall a great experience! We got the red bean and the strawberry flavors - the portions were very large for a bay-area reasonable price of less than $15 item. It was my first visit and honestly, I was a bit disappointed; while there were lots of fresh fruits, I found the flavor bland and not sweet enough - which may be someone's jam? I wished it had more condensed milk to give it a more creamy flavor. The shaved ice was beautiful and fluffy - i'd say this is the main draw that may bring me back to try new flavors. There is plenty of seating inside for tables of two or even small groups. Parking can be difficult since many popular establishments are in the same strip mall so plan ahead for parking time.
