I came in yesturday morning having no idea what Mod Pizza was or what they stand for, but I can gladly say that his is my new favorite fast food restaurant not only for the food but the people. The atmosphere is great and the different types of people working there is amazing there is so much diversity. Everyone there is so so helpful and they have the "pizza makers" doing different things, the sweet heart who made sure my pizza was all good at my table was also the one who made it. I also love how the employees actually want to get on personal level with us customers, I love the guy cooking the pizzas he's so outgoing, (I think his names Freddy). And I made a new friend Austen. I came here for the first time tonight 1/12 and had one of the best experiences. I was a little overwhelmed by all the options at first but Kaylee was quick to introduce herself and go over everything with me. She had extensive knowledge of everything and gave amazing recommendations. She even offered to put toppings on part of my pizza so I didn't have to fully commit to something new. Mod is the only create your own pizza place on the hill. They have a great selection of toppings and sauces for their pizzas. I highly recommend getting their garlic sauce on the crust of your pizza. They only have two pizza sizes; mini and their regular size. They only have one type of crust which is a thin crust pizza. I prefer a thicker crust but they don't have that option here. If it wasn't for the garlic sauce, I probably wouldn't eat their crust. They also cut their pizza slices into four big pieces instead of six which is also kind of weird to me but that is just preference. They have a very clean restaurant and nice staff. Overall pretty good pizzas, just less options for pizza crusts. read more

As soon as I walked Sally greeted me with a smile and made me feel so welcomed she was so sweet and extremely helpful . She prepared my pizza and wow must I say it was delicious! I wanted so much to love this place, as I'm a big fan of Blaze Pizza. The overall experience, although I know today was opening day, was not good. First, I waited 13 minutes in a short line just to order my pizza. There was a staff of 16-17 people I counted but only one person to take the pizza order!? People were indecisive when they turn the corner of the line to be greeted by the order taker (even though I knew exactly what I wanted). One guy literally had to be asked 7+ questions just before they got his first pizza ordered! Then once I was able to order a MINI Ella, it took another 22 minutes to get the pizza. No one checked with me or asked if I wanted anything while I was waiting. Overall, 35 minutes for one mini pizza. It is good but not that good to wait so long. I think they should be taking orders much sooner and get people moved through the line faster and they should talk to the customers more. The guy at the pizza preparing counter liked to talk but never gave anyone an update about their pizza. No number system, no table signs. And the WORST was no WIFI at all? So I waited for 35 minutes with no Wifi or cell service (it's a dead zone for Verizon right in their spot for some reason). I wish I could like it, but overall I had a bad experience. I'll give it a second try and if my experience is better I'll modify my review. I actually like MOD better than Blaze and Pieology. The difference is their crust. It's thin but chewy which I love. I like bbq sauce, chicken, bacon, red onion, pineapple and jalapeños. Or for a red pie I get pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage, black olive, onions, mushrooms, ricotta and oregano. They make delicious pies! The restaurant is large and spacious inside and out. I really wanted to get a salad but romaine is still on recall and I don't want to risk kidney failure:( read more

This is my second review - Gotta give a special shout out to Sandra, Eileen, and Sam. These guys are the bomb-dot-com. They go out of their way to hook up a good pizza and rock it with a smile, which isn't easy to do with tons of people pouring in. At the end-of-the-day, for a fast food restaurant, these guys give very good service and the pizza is legit too. Not greasy, just enough toppings and if you are nit-picky, you can have them load up your pizza with sauce or whatever toppings. Its all good. Props guys. read more

It's nice having a build your own pizza up on the hill. While Blaze Pizza is my #1 love when it comes to build your own, I am super excited about having this up on the hill. I've been to MOD a few times since it's opened and each time it is different pizza even tho I order the same one. The employees are still figuring out the menu and mistakes happen frequently. I must say despite the mistakes, long wait, and other odd issues that come up the pizza is better then anything else offered on the hill. I think it is important to point out the management. On every occasion I've been in, the women I've watched as the 'shift managers' have been nothing but incredible to watch. Example: Today the line got very long. It started to feel stressed and rushed among the employees. The girl towards the start of the line, spoke to the manager that the line is getting really long. She replied, "I'm here with you. It will be fine. Don't worry we got this. You can count on me!". What an incredible response. Her actions followed suit as she worked at least four different positions, supplementing for their hesitation and overwhelmed demeanor. BTW: They still messed up my pizza- I went home with someone else, but her encouragement and support of the other employees spoke to a missing element in today's society. We need to behave and act as a community- help one another. I'm positive that it was a tough day for some of the employees during that busy time period, but the management stepped it up and supported her staff. She wasn't going to allow anyone in her ranks to feel unsupportive or alone. Regardless of the food- I'm glad I was there to watch a beautiful side of human nature. read more

There is a shortage of fast casual restaurants in the PV area so it's great to have this new option. Unfortunately, the overall experience is less than Blaze. Build-your-own pizza is a great concept and I'll only visit this location if we're short on time. Great to save on gas too, but if the experience is sub-par, saving a few $ isn't worth it. Mod is very responsive if you're unhappy with the pizza, but after a while, it gets old to complain and you just want it right. Blaze also has better options, including a spicy red sauce and spicy chicken. Mod discontinued their spicy chicken as it was associated with a fixed offering. The standard chicken is extremely dry and flavorless. We have had our pizzas served burned, raw and burned/raw. One pizza lost half the toppings when the crew member tripped slightly while carrying it to the oven. If you pack your pizza with toppings, the cooking time needs to be different than a pizza with just a few items. The staff is very helpful and has always been friendly, which is one thing they do better than Blaze. I also like how Blaze offers a loyalty program for customers who go there often. It's 2018 and there's no mobile app for a national chain which shouldn't be that difficult to launch and maintain. If Mod could provide better overall quality control along with improving their toppings a bit, this location would be 5 stars. read more

Service went seriously down hill. These employees used to hustle and care. The mobile service is a joke. I showed up five minutes before they said it would be ready and they had not even seen my ticket. The girl working literally grabbed it in front of me and said we just got it, when anyone can tell they just weren't paying attention. I give them the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe the pizza is already cooking, and they just lagged on the ticket. Nope! I wait another ten minutes and watch as the slowest attempt at assembling two pizzas happens in front of me. I rarely write bad reviews as they usually come off as pompous but this is serious lack of care or pride in service. Stop hiring teenage stoners that just don't care. The store says it closes at 10 but they actually close at 9 for "personal reasons " so when we went in at 8:59 they tried to kick us out then descided to let us in and kept being rude and rushing us and proceeded to argue with us . I had the most amazing experience there today. The person who was the working there helped me carrying the pizzas to my car because I had too many things to carry and I had my little boy with me. She was so kind ! thank you so much again for being an angel! When I first went there I didn't know how it works. The bottom line is that you pay pizza by size and you can get any toppings you want.
