We were excited to try a new pizza option, and the menu looked good, probably a bit healthier than other options if a bit more pricey. We stopped here on a whim while out shopping and were a little suprised to see a healthy population of insects on the wall near the toppings bins and even some little winged buggers crawling on the food itself. We opted to leave, but thought we should at least make mention so that the manager on duty could do something about it, so we stopped near the register and quietly asked to talk to the manager. We explained that there were flies or bugs on the food and the wall, and the response was "okay". Then we mentioned that we were leaving and got another "okay." If we get curious and particularly hungry for a different pizza option while we're in that shopping center, we might stop by to see if the flies are gone, but it's doubtful we'll be back. read more

It seems like the right time to update the review. I remain impressed with the product, price, and service, and for that they keep the 4 stars. Unlike other reviewers, I have not had problems with them skimping on toppings - I've always had plenty of toppings on my pie. MOD is probably my favorite place in Sammamish to go to for lunch. The crowds aren't bad at that time, particularly on the weekdays when I occasionally find myself working from home. Dinnertime and weekends are a completely different story though. It seems like MOD is the de facto place that parents with difficult children take their kids to for dinner. I would have thought this title would belong to McDonalds but frankly the behavior is markedly worse here. Some of the things I have seen from children dining at MOD makes me wonder what's happening to parenting nowadays. Ear-piercing screams for 20 seconds at a time, kids climbing up onto the divider walls near the bathrooms, and children that are unable to remain in their seats for more than a minute. I understand this happens, but it seems like every time I go here for dinner the parents just ignore it and don't make any attempt to correct the behavior, which is maddening. Stick to take out for nights and weekends, and dine in at lunch, and you'll be fine. read more

Love this place!! Kids can get topping they like and so can mom. Everything is fresh & there are tons of options. The pizza artists give great recommendations too. Love their lemonades too. If you have been to a MOD pizza before, then you already know why this no fuss pretty decent and quick pizza place is so cool. For those uninitiated - go check it out. The price barrier is just right. And time to get your pizza is about the same to get your food in some of the fast food joints. Its the same price for any number of toppings you like, plus I always like thin crusts, so its a win-win for me. That and the the fact that it's in the neighborhood! We are regulars at MOD. My family loves it! The pizza crust is a nice, freshly made thin crust and they have any topping you would ever want on a pizza. I like to start with one of their recommended pizzas and add extra sauce and a few extra toppings. The salads are also great. Pizzas are always made promptly and we've had excellent service. The line can be long on weekend evenings, but it is a great community gathering place. We love seeing the local high schools' mascots on the wall, adding MOD stickers to the other wall, visiting with friends and enjoying our pizza. If you are looking for a quick, family-friendly lunch or dinner, you should give MOD a try. read more

I really like the pizza, salads, etc and are normally fairly quick with orders. Rating would be higher. I used to go there quite often. However, what keeps us from going(other than takeout) is the incredibly awful noise levels...partly due to high unfinished ceiling. They also contribute to the noise level with staff that frequently shouts out greetings, etc.(which is part of their style) and if I'm not mistaken radio music that is often turned up too high.. For us it would be a fine pizza place; but the noise really keeps us away. There are other Mod Pizza locations(Redmond) I like that don't seem to have near the noise problems. I would give them 5 stars for the quality of food and taste, but I am taking off at LEAST 2 stars for their attitudes when making pizza. If you do a build-your-own and order more toppings than they want, you get the eye rolls, facial expressions, shaking their heads, etc. I ordered a pizza that had roughly half of the meats and veggies, and all cheeses, and the older lady making it Sunday night was super cranky about it. I once heard a guy order a pizza with all possible topings (Except for fish) and they really were OBVIOUSLY annoyed. But their sign says get as many as you want... so thats confusing. Either lazy or the manager wants to drive down assembly time or food costs? read more

I really wish they had something like this in Boston. Lots of topping choices and you can really customize the pizza to your liking. My 11 and 8 year old nieces love this place and I can see why. Its incredibly fun for them to get exactly what they want. My girlfriend loved the pizza salad option. At $7 for a personal pizza it's very affordable. Loved it! Don't eaten pizza out often and am used to having to pay extra for everything other than cheese and sauce. So much nicer being able to have as many toppings as I want and there are lots and lots of quality toppings to choose from. Pizza turned out delicious. Price for drink and a personal pizza was less than $15. read more

Sammamish Mod has the worst service and Mod has a non existant customer service department. Asst. Manager took our food while we still had some left and then was rude when we asked for our food back . General Manager does not return phone calls and doesn't seem to be at the store very much. If you call the main customer number one person will tell you there isn't a customer service department and send an email , the sends you to voicemail. I sent via mods web site my complaint but 5 business days later no response. Mods pizza may be superfast but customer service response is super slow. read more

Decent service, food, and atmosphere. Sadly don't see them work with the local high schools they have so proudly displayed with their logos in the restaurant. Seems like false advertising since many of their lunch time customers are students! I'd encourage owners and managers to work with the local schools for fundraising nights or rewards coupons. The employees are nice but seem to have inappropriate conversations with each other about co-workers and random stuff while helping the customer. The employees could definitely benefit from some customer service training. read more

I freaking love this place!! My favorite thin crust pizza place by far. I was SO STOKED when they opened one in Sammamish since I was always going to the one by my work in Seattle. We had an end of season soccer celebration at this MOD. I called ahead a couple weeks in advance to be sure they could accommodate 40-50 people. They were happy to do so and made a reservation for me on the date/time I wanted. When we arrived they had obviously prepared well for our arrival. They had increased their staff accordingly and got us all through in a very timely manner. All of the staff I talked to were very friendly and helpful. My family was toward the back of our group and I was truly surprised how quickly they got our pizzas to us after we ordered. They even turned down the music for us toward the end of our time there while we had a short time of coaches talking to the team/families so we weren't having to shout over the music. We have stopped in twice since they opened and our kids love the small sized pizza. Great option for kids as they can have their own. The toppings are fresh and they have some really interesting pizza choices to pick from. Try the barbecue pizza. Overall, the pizza is good for quick serve, if you are looking for upscale or heartier pizzas, this will not be what you are looking for. That said, we are fans, enjoy. read more

I ordered pizza here online. It may not be clear to first time buyers that the pizzas are 11" (individual) size and that all options are customizable for the same price. There's a good selection of toppings. When I arrived to pick up my order, however, it had not been made. The staff was extremely gracious/apologetic and refunded my money. I thought they went out of their way to ensure my satisfaction, hence the five stars. Also, the wait was still not long and the pizza was worth it! This is THE MOST OVERPRICED FAST-FOOD PIZZA I have ever seen. I couldn't believe they charged $6.17 for a tiny tiny little piece of dough and a little sprinkle of cheese on top. These pizzas are smaller than a single piece of regular pizzas, which puts the price for a whole pizza over $36 (6 pieces x $6). This is outrageous for fast-food pizza and it is not that good either. Our kids were disappointed by the lack of cheese on top and the super small size burnt along the edge, which made the edible part even smaller. The staff is obnoxious and they can't hear your order because the music is too loud. So double and triple check to make sure you get what you asked for. It was also cold inside so our kids had to eat with their coats on. read more
