Lately, I've been craving Baja fish tacos. Normally I would take a run to El Senior Taco I. Bellevue, my favorite fish taco restaurant. But have been busy with other things. So I had to settle with going to Taco Time to satisfy my craving. The fish tacos are pretty tasty with a decent piece of fried fish. They are fresh and satisfying. I've been here about a dozen times to grab lunch or dinner even if I'm working late and grabbing food while at the office, and every time, the people working here have been friendly, they listen - I don't have to repeat myself at the drive thru which seems to happen a lot at other places - and the order has always been made for me and has been correct. A couple times, the cashier has joked around with me too. The place gets busy during the lunch rush and because every order is made to order, sometimes you will have to wait a few minutes longer, especially if they are busy inside, too. I'd rather have that than get food that's been sitting around like at Taco Bell. They have the Coke machine so you can get any mix up of a soda or Gatorade flavor you want. The crisp beef burrito is their made up version of a mix between a taquito and a burrito - not really either - but it's pretty tasty. Also like the classic soft burrito which is just your choice of meat with lettuce, tomato and cheese but the taco seasoning they use is good. read more

My favorite burrito that used to be $6.49 is now for $8.99 at this location. Voting with our wallets and not spending any money at this location until prices come down. read more

This is my local Taco Time, but in the past 6 months it's been going downhill. Every single order I've placed (once a week, $40+), has been missing items. It's not because there are new kids, as there are older adults there who've been working there for years, they just don't seem to care. I've tried placing online orders and just ordering through drive through. They ALWAYS fail to put multiple items in my order. Missing Mexifries, drinks, utensils and napkins, crustos, hot sauce, etc. Every single time. It's soooo frustrating. Tonight I ordered a fish soft taco with cilantro lime sauce, and the sauce was in one blob at the top. How am I supposed to eat that? A mouthful of sauce, then none anywhere else. And no crustos. And no hot sauce. And no napkins. And no hot sauce. And missing a rice and a bean sides. Having to pull back in and go in to get the missing items is too frustrating. Wish there was a Taco Bell nearby. Bottom line - always check that everything you ordered is actually in the bags before leaving the drive through window, if you really have to go here. read more

I used to love Taco Time. But something has changed, it literally tastes like pure Salt anymore. Maybe it was always that way but it used to be decent quick Mex food. I ordered a kids meal with crustos and black beans yet when I opened my meal there were beans and rice and mexi fries. Absolutely absurd. Waiting in line for lunch, it took them 5-6 min per car from payment to food delivery. I was 7th in line and waited 40 min IN DRIVE THRU! This is a wonderful Taco Time location. The physical location of this location appears to be a bit older; however, inside it is well kept and clean. It has a Coca Cola freesytle machine so you are sure to get your perfect soda! The staff is friendly, personable and efficient. Prices are within reason and they accept credit cards without fees. The food is prepared fresh and serving sizes are very large. The chicken natural soft taco is more like a burrito in size! Food is delivered with a smile to the table and the store is big on composting which is great for mother nature. 5 stars to this great Taco Time! Now if only the Taco Time at Alderwood Mall would take some lessons from this location on how to be stellar, that would be great! read more

Food ordered: chicken quesadilla, beef nachos. Taste: definitely enjoy the beef nachos but they are not consistent. Sometimes we got decent amount of beef, diced tomatoes, cilantro. Other times, hardly any beef, no diced tomatoes, no cilantro. Maybe depending on who is preparing it. We also found a lot of times the cheese is stuck on the box instead of on the chips. Perhaps they could layer the chips, beef, diced tomatoes and cheese. Pricewise, it's a bit pricey for nachos but we keep on coming for their nachos because we like it. We also tried their mobile order but not sure if we can pick up from drive thru. Would be awesome if we could do that! read more

I just dont like Taco Time. I know I should support a local chain, and that they are better quality than taco bell, I know all that. But I just... do NOT like Taco Time. First off, the lack of a value menu hurts my regular stop ins there with kids. Second off, things that SHOULD be on the value menu are overpriced. Small bean burrito, should be about 2 bucks. 2.50 tops. Theirs is 3.99 plus tax and nothing to write home about AT all. Every food item feels like its a dollar over priced, and the end result isnt amazing. There is an option for habanero to drown out the blandness, but that isnt available for bean burritos. You dont get any good flavors like you would at a taco truck, and no niche goodness. Even the hot sauce is bland, and tastes mass produced. Try an Agave hot sauce next to Taco Times, and you would never eat the TT sauce again. I like that they had tater tots, thats a plus. It falls off fast after that. I dont like the chicken they use. Probably wont be back until they have some major menu changes. I wish there was ANY other choice for good mexican food on the Sam plateau. read more

Really like the crisp burrito. Reminds me of a large Crispito. Fish tacos are good. Have a problem with them though. Deep fried versus grilled. Fish tacos are supposed to be some what healthy. Always friendly, which is nice. Look, I love taco time. My complaint is consistancy. I order a veggie soft taco at least once a week. Every veggie soft taco I get is different from the one before: tons of cabbage, little beans. Light on veg, skimpy on beans. Twice the Sammamish location failed to include items ordered and paid for, and notes to Taco Time management have been ignored. Is this an error by service staff or perhaps business strategy to improve profit margins by management that knows most customers will not come all the way back for one missing item...hmm. The food was excellent, but what really made my experience a great one was the employee working the drive through. Her name is Jess and she was fantastic. Taco Time's food is great! Food that is fast but not fast food. Anyway, that's not the reason for my review. I came in on 8/13 between 7 and 7:30pm. At the counter I was greeted by such a nice lady!!! I wish I knew her name but she had no sort of name tag and there was no name on my receipt. She was super positive right off the bat. It was kind of shocking (not in a bad way) since I had just come from running errands at a few stores nearby where almost each employee seemed to resent/loathe/hate their job. My assumption though! and I've been there... I digress. She was really nice and had a great attitude. I probably had just missed the rush so I'm sure it had been busy too. I was looking for a quick bit to eat. The option was Taco Time or McDonalds....there was also Taco Bell, but I wasn't interested in a stomach ache. So I went with Taco Time. My kiddos in the back were satisfied with their oranges from preschool so we headed to the drive through. The employees were friendly and very efficient. I had my order by the time I got to the pick up window. I would recommend the traditional beef soft taco, light sour cream of course, with a side or mexi-fries and an ice water...isn't Taco Time known for their delicious ice? Be sure not to skip out on ordering a drink. I asked for the taco to be cut in half, just by chance one of my children was enticed by the smell once it got in the car and the employees even rapped them in two individual papers. read more

I work in the area of Sammamish where there is not that many quick food choices for lunch, but one of my favorite's if I do go out is Taco Time. I stopped there today and I have to say I was super dissapointed! I ordered 3 crisp beef tacos and the taco shells were all wet and soggy, like the tomato or lettuce they put in the taco were too wet or something and made the shells soggy. read more
