Ordered a customized pizza on cauliflower and he made sure it was preference, not an allergy, which most people don't care for anymore!! Had to let him know more than 20 people were coming in soon since it was very slow when I walked in, and he was delighted to hear it. He made sure my entire visit was pleasant and the other workers were sure to keep the entire store clean. salad has been hit or miss here. service goes from great to adequate. we got new guy this time, he was obviously still learning so no hits as to his service. salad looked fresh - fresh enough to luring me to add a little spring mix to mostly spinach salad - dont do it! We dined in on a Friday evening and there was only one person inside when we arrived. The four people working were all very friendly and helpful. We had lots of questions since this was our first time at MOD Pizza. Salad and pizza is what we got to split. Salad was very fresh and delish! I love MOD Pizza and was thrilled to spot it as we drove by. My picky daughter loves it and will eat all the leftovers (we only get the MOD size for her to get leftovers). The adults enjoy how it's so customizable - we're allium-free vegetarians. The only person who is "meh" is my 3 year old who has a number of food allergies and can only have their gluten free crust. The GF crust here is generally hard/tough and after a trip in the oven, the edges tend to be crispy. Leftovers are eaten by the adults as he won't touch them. Little guy loves chewy dough, as one would expect from pizza, and nothing tough, but it's so hard to find on GF breads unless you use rice flour. So far, he only loves pizza from one place and this place is not it, which is a shame, because it's so accessible and reasonably priced. We still got the GF crust for him though because it's the only thing he can have. I'm a huge fan of their fig balsamic finishing sauce and will always ask for it at the end. I wish they had more veggies but I guess what they have is better than nothing. There was a slight miscommunication at first (I asked for corn and the lady kept on talking about bacon and turns out she thought I said "pork", HAHA) but it was solved when I straight up said we were vegetarian. I usually don't mention that when I go to MOD because there's usually no need to. The staff here were super nice! When I picked up the last pizza, the lady said they used a new cutter for our pizzas since we're vegan (we're not, haha - I opted for real cheese on all of ours). I love the effort though! Though it did make me wonder if they don't always do that for GF pizzas and those without meat. Maybe I should start mentioning we're vegetarian (our previous visit to MOD included a rogue piece of chicken on my husband's pizza). They also use the same gloves in the same order - even between the regular and GF dough - so there is definitely a chance of some cross contamination if you're really allergic. Thankfully, my son isn't quite EpiPen level allergic to wheat, but we have seen mild rashes on his face after MOD before if he eats a few bites. Overall, a great location in the middle of a hub of eateries and shopping. Great staff (but perhaps a little more training on preventative procedures concerning cross contamination and diets?)! We'll be keeping this location in mind on our next visit to SA! And I'll be sure to mention gloves and knives. read more

I am a big fan of MOD Pizza, and I would normally give them a great rating. However, on this trip, I found the food to be lacking compared to others that I have eaten at. One of the reasons that I like MOD Pizza is because you can order your pizza on a cauliflower crust. When I was doing KETO exclusively, I found they offered that type of crust. After trying it, I was hooked. Another reason that I'm a fan of MOD is that you can build your pizza exactly like you want it, and this time was no different. The folks behind the counter were eager to make it just like I wanted it. So why am I rating this place with only 3 stars? Even with them making it just like I wanted, it did not taste like what I am used to. We haven't been to MOD in a long time and I'm not sure why honestly. This place is amazing. Staff was great, very helpful with topping suggestions. Menu is easy to read and best of all PRICES ARE AMAZING. Everything tasted fresh, they had a nice thin chewy yet crunchy crust. My only complaint is I wish they added a little more sauce but I'm pretty sure you can request for more. I just didn't know ahead of time that you can get whatever you want and however much of it you want on your pizza. The guy behind us ended up getting every single cheese on his pizza which was funny because when we went through the line I asked the lady helping us jokingly if you could do that and sure enough, you can. My favorite spot! I've always loved Mod pizza but am happy to find a new location near Alamo Ranch. All the ingredients are fresh and you can choose what you want and how much you want and either a salad or pizza or both. My favorite is getting a pizza and salad and taking half of it home for a second meal. This location is really clean and best of all the staff was amazing. this is about the third time that I've had my pizza this past week my daughter and her husband and I ordered MOD pizza. They were so nasty. I threw mine away. It was so disgusting. I took three bites and my stomach immediately started hurting and I threw up and that's all I had to eat that day. That was the most disgusting pizza I've ever tasted. Horrible service,,,,horrible pizza. I ordered 2 small pizza's online and it stated that my order would be ready at 6:27pm. I arrived a little early and waited until 6:30pm to go in and pick them up. I walk over to the "online pick up" area and nothing. I asked the "kid" that was working back there and he handed me 1 pizza. I stated that I ordered two and after looking around like a lost puppy, it was sitting on the counter BUT hasn't been cooked yet. I honestly don't know why we don't visit MOD pizza more often. This is only the second time we've been in two years, but each time has been great! The Callie pizza was delicious, I was a little jealous that I didn't order it for myself. I ordered one of the create your own for myself and went a little heavy on spicy objects, but it was delicious though. I appreciated how patient the staff was with my indecision and didn't rush me. I loved it here but in my recent visit I noticed a worker named Noah being verbally rude to the women working alongside him. At first I thought it was jokes when I was placing my order but I firmly believe he was just being rude as none of them were laughing. This is unacceptable behavior from an employee and I do not believe he is making the experience enjoyable for the customers as he made me uncomfortable with some of his comments towards the women. read more
