When you enter, you snake through the aisle counter-clockwise and walk by a ton of prepared foods and meals. When busy it can feel really crowded given the narrow "one way" aisle. With the warming lights for the food, it can also feel a bit warm and stuffy in there. In the back you'll see a ton of blind boxes or viral toys like the squeezable sticks of butter or cubes. They have a large selection of Japanese Pokemon cards near the front cash register. The prices of the cards are quite expensive but can still be fun for the kids to rip open a pack or two.

I have been to several MOD Pizzas thru Northern California. A friend LOOOOVES pizza and loves she can modify a pizza with MOD so easily and get what she wants. We stopped into this MOD the other day. Few people were in line or in the store, several workers behind the counter, seemingly working hard. It took more than 12 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us as we stood next in line---the pizza maker was making 3 pizzas and that's how long we stood, waiting for our orders to be started. For a place that says they make pizza "fast", this wasn't fast (approx 1/2 hr from the time we walked in, until the time the oven minder yelled "Pizza up!" and for that, a traditional pizza place would do). We struggled to get the pizza maker to understand what we wanted. It didn't seem to be a language barrier, perhaps they weren't listening? Not sure. Explaining food allergies to her was almost impossible as well. We did eventually get pizzas with what we wanted on them, they were tasty, as we have come to expect from MOD, but it took forever and it took a LOT more conversation than truly necessary to get our pizzas correct. We did have an issue with the double crust we ordered, coming apart when we tried to pick it apart to eat it. Not sure if the lack of proper preparation was the issue (she didn't knead it much before putting it in the dough flattener), or if it was just that dough. The part of the dough touching the items slid off and the side that was on the bottom just split apart like a pita. We ordered a double crust, but expected we would eat that together, not as 2 separate items! We did struggle with the cleanliness of the location. It looked like no one was cleaning the store, the restaurant had lots of trash on the floor, didn't have many to go boxes available, did not have the drink/add on station well stocked and the bathrooms were a complete disaster. We mentioned this to what seemed to be the manager, but no one stepped up to do anything in the 1/2 hr we were eating our meals. We came back later on in the evening and looked in the window and saw the same people working and the same mess in the lobby. Sad, because we like MOD, just not this location. read more

I never used to order pizza, but after discovering MOD Pizza and their customizable options, I fell in love! With the ability to choose from thin, thick, and 6-11" size options, I feel like I'm in control of my pizza experience. I love that I can select the exact ingredients and amount of sauces I want on my pizza, which makes me feel empowered. With MOD Pizza, I can make a pizza that not only tastes amazing but also aligns with my values and preferences. However, I do have to mention that I was a bit taken aback by the sanitary conduct of the staff. Specifically, I noticed that they used the same glove to write on the slip and handle the food, which didn't exactly fill me with confidence. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! The team here was A-MOD-TABULOUS. They literally finished the year strong for our group. Let me share the story...we had a group of almost 50 from our church that came in at 6 minutes until closing. We had planned on being earlier but got stuck getting there when we planned. The team at MOD not only accommodated us, but did it with a GREAT attitude!! (I would have been so kind). We were in and out in less then 30 min. That's how fast they were. Unfortunately, I have to update my review after my last visit. Very disappointed to be told they no longer do crustless pizza. No reason given just told they don't do it. It's simply a matter of using the tin they use for salads and throwing all the toppings in with cheese and sauce and baking it. In a day where low carb/ketogenic lifestyles are more popular, this was a bad bad move. We used to go quite often. We won't be returning unless this option comes back! read more

Mod rocks! I love coming here for lunch. Even though I work in Milpitas, I drive down to this location to grab my Mod. Parkings plentiful and Peets is right next door! What more can I ask for. Service from staff is always A+ here! And Ive noticed compared to other locations this one is the cleanest. They work hard to keep things restocked and full for customers during busy lunch hours. Get pizza joint in the sprouts mall on Brokaw. We love the vegan pizzas here - just ask for it beforehand and load away on toppings. Line can get quite long during peak hours. Im a MOD fan but the past visit was a disappointment. The corn on my pizza had a weird smell which I wasnt used to. I uaually get the same pizza. Red sauce, all the veggies minus olives and artichokes. Maybe it was just an off day forthem. Staff was super friendly and place was clean. read more

We have been here a few times, we have always ordered cheese pizza and it has always been good. The lunch slice deals are a great value for the Bay Area, and the large pizza and salad deal is also fantastic. I will sometimes get the large pizza and salad deal for lunch (their Arugula Salad is wonderful, and the Pear and Walnut salad is also great) and take most of the pizza to go for dinner with my husband later. Their Cajun fries aren't quite as good as Five Guys, but they're very good and when I go with my coworker we often split an order. I like the Tuscan Mushroom pizza best, but the Berkeley Vegan with the vegan sausage is also really good (as long as you're okay with vegan cheese, which I know some people are not since it has a different texture). I think my husband's favorite is the Greek pizza, and my usual lunch buddy likes the sweet and spicy vegan pizza. The interior hasn't changed since this used to be a Zpizza, but is clean and modern. There are two large TVs that typically have some sports game or other playing on them, so if you are looking for somewhere to eat that lets you keep an eye on the game, this could be a good spot (recently it's been soccer, probably World Cup stuff). Some are amazing. Most are just...so-so. Thankfully, this Jersey Mike's location is, well, amazing. A few years ago, I discovered Jersey Mike's. It was located in Mountain View near the corner of El Camino Real and San Antonio Rd. It was a very good and consistent restaurant. That location was one of those "let's eat there" when we weren't sure what we wanted to eat. It was never disappointing. Unfortunately, that location closed. So, every once in a while, we would get a craving for Jersey Mike's. So, we stopped by a few other locations. They weren't as good as the one that was in Mountain View. So, for a while, we basically stopped eating at any Jersey Mike's. On my birthday, I discovered that I had a free sub from Jersey Mike's. So, on my way home, I stopped by and picked it up. It was fantastic. This led us to revisit the restaurant....again and again. Each time, the staff was patient, attentive and, well, interested in making our sandwiches correctly. In other sandwich shops (including a few other Jersey Mike's locations), this isn't the case. When those shops get busy, the quality is sometimes a casualty of the chaos. That's not the case with the Jersey Mike's in Sunnyvale. I guess that is the stand-out quality of this store. It's consistent. Even when it is very busy, the restaurant staff is still individually attentive and our sandwiches have been made correctly. This is what has kept us coming back. It's a bit of a drive from our home in Palo Alto; but, it's worth the drive. Although this shopping center is very busy, there is still ample parking near the Jersey Mike's. The store is consistently clean. The ingredients and bread are always fresh too. It's kind of odd to speak so highly of Jersey Mike's sandwich shop in an area with so many gourmet delis and sandwich shops. Yet, it's the consistency that is so amazing here that keeps us coming back. It's something that you often only find at local Mom & Pop restaurants. Yet, it's very present here. Well done!

It's unusual to find in the world of fast food. I order through the app and they always get everything right. Food is prepared as you'd expect and feels "fresh" (as much as fast food can feel fresh). And hey... who doesn't love a good chalupa?
