This is my third time out here and every time I've had a great experience. The check-in people are friendly and knowledgeable. Their wifi wasn't very reliable the first time I came here and so I haven't used it since but they got Peet's coffee for customers which is an incentive to get here early. They're estimated wait time is usually accurate and I believe they do offer shuttle services, but I've never used them. I just bring my laptop and work from their waiting room. Talking about their waiting room they do have 4 large TVs for people to keep themselves entertained or additional seating tables next to their vehicle showroom if you'd like a bit more privacy. I bought a Highlander on Friday the 12. The car began to give problems. There were a bunch of glass over the car. One of the managers literally called a liar. He said that there was no possible way the car most likely got vandalized when I had it, I couldn't have changed all the glasses in two days (over the weekend. ) I found out that they had changed most of the windows, including the windshield. When I purchased the Highlander, the guy was supposed give me the car and I saw him with my car then he disappeared for like 20 mins until I checked with a manager, said that he has been waiting for me eventhough I'd said he wasn't there. Then they called him and he came telling that he needed to do something to my car. Now I wonder what he needed to do. They gave me the SUV super dirty and they were that it was not true that they always clean them and that they never changed any windows on that car. I found out of all the cars because I saw a lot of trash in between one the seats and the back rest, I began cleaning it and got cut with a glass. When I went for all the issues I was having on Monday the 15th, that's when everyone was treating me like trash and like a liar. Supposedly, they checked and detailed the car, but when I checked it, the car still had the glass there. They had my car from 1 to 6 pm. When I got the receipt of the maintenance, I noticed they put that the color of the car is Gold, my car has nothing gold in it; it is Amber, (black/brown). read more

I got a notice in the mail recently talking about an extended warranty for peeling paint, so I call to schedule them to look at my car since it has started to show the peeling paint. Brand new truck in for its first ever service. Modesto Toyota spilled oil all over engine bay, on hoses, belts, wires, the skid plate running through the hollow frame and seeping out of the holes onto LCA. Unbelievably bad and unacceptable, looks like they wiped it down to hide their mistakes (didn't notice until next morning when oil was all over my driveway). They also deleted my vehicle "trip" information without any permission and I have information I was gathering from both trip A and B and was very unhappy. Then to make it right after I formally complain to the company privately they offer me a free oil change.. like I didn't just buy a brand new $50,000+ vehicle that COME WITH FREE OIL CHANGES. Same issue: Scheduled an oil change for 8:40 am and was there for almost 3 hours. I had an appointment! I asked what the point was to make an appointment then and they said it guaranteed the work would be done that day. Huh? It was an oil change - I came in early morning. Why would they think it is acceptable for anyone to spend all day to get an oil change done? It is up to them to schedule the appropriate amount of people to handle the appointments that they have made. If they don't have capacity that day, then don't schedule an appointment. My wife and I both own toyotas, she has a 2019 Rav4 with 62k miles on it. Last night backing out of the garage the Check Engine light came on. I have a cheap OB2 diagnostic tool and read it was a P26CB error. So we decide to take it to modesto toyota, wife called and they said they have an 11:20 appointment open so she dropped it off at that time . I recieved texts and email from Noah and in the email was a check status button. So here we are 3 hrs later no call text email nothing from Noah. So I pressed the status button it didn't do anything . Approx 4 frickin hrs still no update. So I had to call them and Noah was on the phone and couldn't talk to me. Then and only then I recieved a text from Noah. The frustrating part of this ordeal was the lack of communication on Modesto Toyotas end. Purchased my Rav4 here and am extremely happy with the customer service and care Elliott King and Maryam provided me. Modesto Toyota is a no-nonsense dealer that does not waste your time or play games, unlike other dealers. In fact, they saved me a lot of time. I was in and out of the dealership in around 1.5 hours including all paperwork processes. This has to be a new record. Elliott was also extremely diligent in keeping me updated on when my vehicle would arrive, expediting the pre-delivery inspection process, and letting me pick it up the same afternoon it arrived. Maryam also stayed very on top of allocations and called me the moment the vehicle I wanted became allocated so I could put down a deposit. I lived one hour away and they even accommodated my request to arrange for transportation to pick me up. While I didn't need it as I arranged other means, it was a courteous gesture. At the dealership, they were extremely fast and efficient. The signing process is also very easy. They use a high-tech touch screen to sign documents instead of old paper and pen. It's organized, easy to follow, and efficient rather than having to fumble with a lot of documents. Do not go to other dealers. This review is not for sales--I bought my Camry brand new 3 years ago and had an amazing experience with the sales department. Service department is horrible. The people that work there are great, they let you know everything, text you when your vehicle is finished, they're always nice... but in 3 years, I've never had my oil changed in under 2 hours. I make an appointment. I show up on time--but it's always been no less than a 2 hour wait. (Even for the services where they don't even change the oil!) Today was no different, a Tuesday in the middle of the week. Not a first thing in the morning appointment or an end of the day appointment during any kind of rush. It's not a labor shortage due to Covid. This has been my experience every 5,000 miles since my first service there in 2019. It isn't me not having an appointment. It's this service department. The wait time makes it painful to do any business with them. I spend 230.00 to have my car serviced and spend 1/4 of my work day in their lobby. Meanwhile, I can run my other vehicle across the street to their quick service & be in & out in 40 min or less. I won't ever buy another Toyota in this town just so I don't have to deal with their over-stretched service department again. Time to start paying attention to the countless reviews just like mine & invest in a few more oil change stations modesto Toyota. UPDATE: While I was there yesterday--I was told my tires were completely bald and need to be replaced. Then that they were rotated so the tires with more tread were on the front of the car. NOPE! I checked them myself and took them to my tire shop, where I was told they are fine. One of my rims in the back is scratched--and guess what? It was in the same spot. So my tires were not rotated. We found a Highlander Hybrid we liked, and tho it was a $50k SUV I liked all the extras. A salesman, Hipolito, couldn't wait for us to come see/drive it. We live in North Stockton,a 50 minute drive. We hurried, and left to see it. 10 minutes from the dealership, we get called by Hipolito wanting to know when we would arrive. When we arrived he told us he didn't know but the car had been sold. Ticked off because he did not do his due diligence, we left. Nearly 2 hours wasted by him. Today I found a car there that I would buy. But then found out they want a flat $2000 over MSRP for there vehicles. A previous reviewer wrote how greedy the owner is. I think so too. There are several dealers out there with no Premium, or Additional Dealer Markup. Elk Grove Toyota advertises they don't. Tracy Toyota wants $5000 markup. We are still shopping, ready to buy, but not get taken advantage of. read more

Modesto Toyota LOL.....Oh my, what a joke. I see how things have not changed. While the facility is spacious, clean and well staffed, the leadership is a joke. Sales is pressured to sell things beyond there capability. The dealership manager carries the water for the owner who own and controls several other dealerships on the McHenry Blvd. Greed is the name of the game here and everything else is just smoke and mirrors. You are not gonna get a good deal from this dealership. Expect to pay over MSRP and then some. Trade In's are a complete waste of time...Your not gonna get anything for your used car...The service center is often over committed with cars needing service and the wait is hurriedness. Scheduled appointments are not timely. Waited two hours today for an oil change. Had an appointment, but it was a good hour plus before they ever started on my vehicle. I got my vehicle back after almost two hours. (just for a scheduled oil change) Toyota Care LOL is often filled with hidden language that is not transparent at the time of purchase of a new vehicle. The service department is not friendly. Yes they listen to your concerns and feedback but they act like zombies. They are either over worked or all on drugs. Know body smiles, no greeting, no casual talk, just robot mode. Blank stares and all business. New Trucks and cars currently at this dealership are in short supply. That blame falls on the Covic 19 supply chain event. Used cars and trucks on the grounds are way over priced. Again , much of that is because of the Covic 19 event and supply and demand issues. To really summarize this review, this dealership is just not properly run. The fault is of the upper management and owner. Look to the East Bay or Livermore area for better service and experience. read more

I want to give Kevin and Joshua kuddos for taking care of my wife's Camry. I don't know the history of Modesto Toyota or their staff as this was my first time there. But in this particular case they handled business and did it the right way. My wife has been taking her car there since she bought it for all services before I knew her. When I went to change the oil the oil filter housing was on there so tight a 1/2 inch impact drill nor a breaker bar could get it off. Took it in, explained the situation and they made it right and topped off the oil & provided a new housing considering it was tightened down so bad it was cracked. Unfortunately in today's society you're uncertain if a place will make things right despite them being the last one's to service/touch your vehicle. In this situation that was not the case. Y'all might think I'm nuts, but I bought a RAV4 prime from Modesto and I do t live anywhere near Modesto. Not even remotely near a neighboring state!! But they had the car I wanted and was willing to work with me to get the car to me. The communication was spot on; there were frequent updates and Sal told me exactly what I had to do, when, and how. The credit union who wired the money thought I was in some syndicated crime deal (LOL) but we all had a good laugh after I explained the whole situation and raved about the service. If I had to do it again, I'd just do one thing different: ask for the MCO / COO to be FedEx'ed to me as soon as the car was picked up by the shipping company.
