One of my favorite Korean restaurants. For me, a Korean restaurant is only as good as their banchan and this place never misses. Each entree is served w/ purple rice, barely tea, and of course (unlimited) banchan. They have plenty of seating, but the place gets busy and noisy quickly. We arrived around 5PM on a Wednesday and there was no wait, but the restaurant began to be busy an hour later. There is compact parking in front of the restaurant, but more spots available to the side of the lot. We ordered: Soft Tofu Stew - I love the kimchi they serve. Their kimchi is a little more spicy and pungent than what other restaurants serve, but that is exactly how it should be. Yukgaejang - A hearty and nourishing soup. Plenty of broth, beef, and leafy vegetables to even take home afterwards (you can see with the depth of the bowl). LA Kalbi & Pork Belly - Generous portions for the price. LA Kalbi was the favorite for the night, but pork bely was also just as good. Served on a hot platter it was nice that the meats remained warm even towards the end of meal. Tteok-Bokki - So so much. Wish there was more cheese added, but that is only because I have a low spice tolerance lol. We had plenty to take home afterwards so it's still a win. Items are on the pricier side, but great value considering the quality and how much is offered. Their kimchi is my favorite and honestly nothing compares to it.
Dined 1/10/26 Went to Modoo with a few friends after a recommendation to check it out. Modoo did not disappoint. It was a Saturday night, so the place was slammed. We used the kiosk to put our name on the waiting list. We waited about 30 minutes until we were sat. Once at the table the service was very quick. You order on a tablet and they bring it out to you as it's ready. Paid at the very end of the meal. We ordered the chicken wings, both original and spicy. We also got the Tteok-Bokki for an appetizer as well. For the entree we all split one of the big plates, the Kalbi Jjim. Everything we ate was delicious. It was my first time trying Tteok-Bokki and now I'm a big fan. The restaurant was busy, but nice inside and accommodating. They even had mouth wash in the bathrooms . I didn't use any, but hey, it's there. Overall, definitely recommend trying it out.
Food: Tofu Stone Pot Bibimbap (4/5): Good, solid tofu with a savory and well-balanced mix of vegetables. One of the better bibimbaps I've had. Vegetable Pancake (4/5): Thick, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Very satisfying. Ambiance: A decent-sized restaurant that works well for mixed groups. Service (4/5): Very attentive and patient throughout the meal. Overall, a reliable and enjoyable Korean spot that I'd happily visit again.
I came here with my family on a pretty busy weekend evening but surprisingly got seated very quickly. There were cups of tea upon seating. There's minimal service - you order on a tablet that's mounted at the table. There is no info about if the dish comes with rice or not. You have to flag down the server for more refills on the bonchon if you want refills. Tea was refilled only once during the whole dinner service. I got the seafood pancake, beef bulgogi, grilled mackerel, and LA galbi. This was plenty of food for four of us. The mackerel was a big fish and had a crispy but moist interior, the bulgogi was a big portion and marinated very well, and the seafood pancake was crispy and came with a dipping sauce. The star of the show was LA Galbi, which was SO tender and marinated so well. This is probably the best LA Galbi I've had so far in Washington. However, the LA Galbi took forever to come out to the table. We kept asking the server if it was coming as we saw other tables getting their orders and we were making a good dent into our other dishes. They kept reassuring us that it was coming. We had finally finished eating all of our other food and were purely waiting for the LA Galbi. The server asked us if we were done with the meal and we told them, again, that we were waiting for the Galbi. They finally checked with the kitchen and told us they had missed our order but can give it to us in 10 mins. Fine, we waited and got refills on bonchon. It finally came out shortly after. When the check came, the server didn't offer us any sort of compensation despite the hiccup. It's one thing if we hadn't said anything about it until the end, but we were repeatedly asking them where our dish was and they were blindly telling us it was coming. The service was truly disappointing, but the food itself would be 5/5.
Once you ger seated, you order your food through an ipad. Simple and easy. Price will be a little more expensive but great portion size to share with friends and family. The tteokbokki was huge! Honestly one of the biggest tteokbokki appetizers I've ever been served. Definitely go for the version with cheese. It usually comes with glass noodles sitting at the bottom, which adds a really nice texture and makes the dish feel even more satisfying. Highly recommend this dish if you love tteokbokki with a twist! The spicy pork bulgogi here is absolutely fantastic. The meat is tender, perfectly marinated, and has just the right balance of heat and sweetness. Each bite has a rich depth of flavor, and the portion size is generous. Paired with purple rice and six side dishes. The Korean grilled mackerel was decent, and it was a good portion size and the fish was cooked well, with a nice crispy skin. However, the flavor was a bit too fishy for my taste, even with the seasoning. It's a solid option if you really enjoy strong seafood flavors, but it wasn't my favorite dish on the menu. Remember spines and bones are still attached so be careful when eating it.
Really loved it here! Recently it feels like Kalbi is too sweet and not traditional enough, but not here. The ginger and garlic truly shine through on the Kalbi! We got the Kalbi and Kimchi tofu soup lunch combo and it was fantastic! The kimchi tofu soup was really tasty. They give you an egg to break in it and I don't feel like my egg fully cooked so do so at your own risk, but I ate every last drop and it was incredible! The banchans (side dishes) really shined as well! Really quality and full of flavor! The waiter was really kind! I messed up the order on the iPad and he fixed it right away! It's super busy but organized. We came on a weekday for lunch and only waited for 5-10 minutes.
Nice variety of Korean dishes on their menu and each order can be customizable as well from spice level to the type of protein. Their tofu soup was perfect for a cold, rainy day. I think spice is slightly lower than expected. As someone who has a low spice tolerance I think I could've gone for a regular! Their jjusami was the perfect shareable size for 4 people. We even took home leftovers because there was so much. Service was attentive. Frequently coming by to refill hot tea and water along with making sure everything tasted ok.
Never been to a Korean BBQ place where you dont cook your own meat. This spot had a long line and I totally understand why. Service was pleasant and efficient, and the dishes came out in quicker succession than expected. The pork belly was perfectly crisped and tender at the same time. Savory galbi, loved the toasted rice in the dolsot bibimbap, and the veggie pancake was light. Casual ambiance, suitable for families, date night, dinner with friends, and any other time you're hungry. Also kinda liked I didn't smell like cooked meat when we left.
I live in Federal way (where I would argue has a pretty competitive korean food scene to lynnwood) but I think Modoo is my favorite korean restaurant to date. Had been hearing about it for sometime and finally got to go, the hype was real for me! It hit all the marks for me in terms of a cozy, wooden interior + clean space + ample customers, and most importantly, really delicious traditional food! We did go during off peak hours so I'm sure the wait gets long but thankfully we got seated right away for an early dinner. Gamja tang was so good, I'd get it again but now I wanna try all the other dishes first. The side dishes were all flavorful and complemented each other well. Can't wait to make the trek to Modoo again!
Came in for Saturday around lunch time and wait around 10 minutes for a table but was seated quickly afterwords. We ordered 4 dishes to split amongst 4 people and enjoyed each one. My surprise standout was definitely the soondubu, which I've had multiple times across Seattle, but here found it to have a more full and flavorful broth. Our seafood pancake was also very filling, and our bulgogi was also very popular. I'd definitely come back again with a good party of folks for a good time.
We came on Friday around 4:15 PM, just after it opened at 4, so there was no line and we were able to park right in front of the store. We ordered using a tablet, and the food came out quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The chicken wings, Bossam, and Seol-Long-Tang were all absolutely delicious! The restaurant was spacious and clean, with some private rooms available. I know they usually have long lines during peak dinner hours, so I was glad we got to enjoy our meal while it was still quiet. Overall, great food and great value!
We were craving Korean spicy squid and found this place on Yelp, only to realize when we arrived that they served octopus instead. We ordered the pork belly and octopus stew with cheese, along with a beef tofu soup on the side. The flavors were good overall, but the execution didn't quite work for us. The beef in the tofu soup tasted like the thin frozen slices commonly sold at Asian grocery stores, with a noticeable frozen-meat flavor rather than the taste of fresh beef. The biggest issue was the octopus--it was extremely chewy, to the point where each piece took a long time to eat, and we ended up leaving most of it on the plate after trying one piece each. The pork belly was cut into large chunks and could have benefited from being sliced smaller and cooked a bit crispier. Service was friendly and the food arrived promptly, but despite enjoying the seasoning and overall flavor profile, the textures just weren't our preference. In the end, it wasn't a bad meal, just not quite our cup of tea.
I got to revisit Modoo this past weekend and I was reminded just how good the food was here. It is definitely the best Korean restaurant in the area. The place is always packed with people for a reason and I love that it feels like a neighborhood gem. They have an electronic ordering system for each table, so you can just place your order right when you sit down. I got to try the Jjusami with cheese fried rice, mixed soondubu, galbitang, and seafood pancake which was plenty of food to feed 4. The jjusami was so flavorful and pairs perfectly with rice. It's $50, but is definitely meant to be shared between at least 3 people. Their seafood pancake is so perfectly crispy. I'd definitely get it everytime I come back. They also give out free barely tea, and the service is attentive enough to refill it throughout the meal. I still do think the restaurant as a whole is a little pricey, but I'll definitely continue to visit.
In short Huge menu, exceptionally good ingredients, a little more expensive than some spots as a result, huge dining room and STILL always a line out the door. In long This isn't the most sumptuous stretch of 99, but the affordable real estate has drawn in tons of great restaurants in between all the car dealerships and strip malls. You can barely see Modoo until you're practically on top of it, but that's not to say it's tough to find. There's just a bunch of landscaping out front blocking the sign. You could be forgiven for not realizing how great a restaurant there is in a building like this. It's one of those tilt-up office-park-type things that looks like they built it as inexpensively as possible. It's nice as soon as you're inside, though. Big bustling dining room with more rooms off to the side. Tons of booths, tons of tables, tons of families, tons of people overall. You check in on a kiosk and it texts you when you're on deck for the next table, then they call you and guide you back. We were extraordinarily lucky to wait only 10 minutes at 1:30 in the afternoon. At least 5 more parties came in after us. The menu isn't the longest ever, but there are several dozen choices, many of which you can order with different proteins or starches. No kbbq or kfc, no sullungtang, but otherwise you have pretty much everything you want to eat at a Korean place. Every ingredient and technique is taken to the absolute top tier in every dish we tried, so you can definitely splurge on a fancier, pricier meal here, especially if everybody wants to try lots of things. And you definitely have to share here. The tables are extra wide to make room for all the plates. Family style all the way. Banchan Nice mix of fairly conventional and even seemingly somewhat Americanized dishes along with some interesting and funky flavors. 100 year wine Worth repeats, reasonably priced, delicious and funky. Chicken wings Ordered spicy, next time I'm asking if they can go spicier. Absolutely delicious. We started to say they were worth the visit all on their own, and somebody at the next table said literally the same thing at the same time. Soft tofu soup Probably as good as any I've had anywhere. We ordered a mix of beef, kimchi, and seafood, and the brininess of the seafood might be better left out next time. Comes out at a roaring boil, after your server already dropped off a raw egg that you add right away. Fun! Jjusami $44 for multiple servings worth of food. Thinly-sliced pork belly, no excess of fat, thankfully. Nice chewy squid ("webfoot octopus"). Awesome huge flavors. They will turn the extra broth into fried rice if you like. Seafood pancake I haven't tried every single one of these in town, but I dunno how you could make a better one. Beautifully tender octopus, tons of other sea proteins, all sparkling fresh and flavorful. They have a huge staff here, I think 4 people visited just our table with all the different dishes and orders. Everything comes out when it's ready, so they just keep hitting you with food. Every single ingredient we tasted seemed like they were getting the best of everything--never even the slightest hint of off flavor or unwelcome chewiness or anything. Generous portions, all cooked exactly to temp and seasoned with great balance and explosive flavors. This kind of caring attention to detail costs a little more than many of the more-informal spots around town. It's so, so worth it. And this has to be one of the most-packed restaurants I've seen in a while, aside from maybe a place across the street from a big event or something like that. There's a reason there's always a line out the door. You gotta check it out. read more
One of the best Korean restaurants in the Seattle area! Be prepared for a long wait, we came on a Wednesday evening around 7:30 pm and waited for at least 40 minutes before being seated. If you come to the restaurant any later than that, you will likely arrive too late. They closed the waitlist soon after we put our names down. We got the Modoo Bossam and kimchi pancake. This was soooo much food for two people, the bossam itself was way bigger than it looked in the menu photo. Everything tasted amazing and I will definitely be coming back. read more
Modoo is easily my favorite Korean spot in the area. I usually get the mackerel and soondubu combo, and it never disappoints--the stew is rich and comforting, and the mackerel is always perfectly cooked. The banchan are super tasty and a great addition to the meal. The service is friendly and quick, the restaurant is clean, and the food always hits the spot. If you're craving Korean food, this is the place to go! read more
amazing!! this is such a great spot for groups!! the portions are huge here, i definitely recommend coming in groups of 4 or more. the modoo bossam is big enough for 3-4 people to eat (we had so many leftover for party of 2) and tteokbokki is the best i've had in washington state! i really liked the convenience of ordering on ipad and requesting for staff on there. the staff was fast and efficient.. great service on sat 6/29/25 lunch. read more
A top tier korean restaurant! The food portions are huge so beware of that when ordering. The seafood pancake was really crispy and the jokbal was extremely well cooked. There was plenty of tasty bonchon too -- I really liked their tiny fish one. The pork belly was probably the most underwhelming one, but I think the simplicity and execution deserves merit. I thought the service was friendly and efficient. They also have plenty of seating inside and weren't that packed when I went in the afternoon. read more

Was driving down from Anacortes after whale watching and was unsure of what to eat. Saw this restaurant on Yelp and was very unsure at first, but I cannot believe how amazing this place is. Visiting from Southern California I didn't think this restaurant would live up to the expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Food came out quickly and steaming hot. Everything was delicious. The wings were exceptional. My favorite was the spicy beef soup. Service here is amazing all of their employees are extremely tentative. The ambiance is nice and relaxing. It is busy, but every area is fully staffed. Way better than the typically ayce Korean bbq. The quality of each dish is prepared to perfection. Please give this location a try it will not disappoint. read more
We came here got in right at opening on Saturday to not have to wait. For four people, we ordered the spicy beef kalbijjim and jjusami. We added the cheese to our kalbijjim but not our jjusami. Modoo was our go to for spicy kalbijjim before Daeho from SF opened in Bellevue and after coming back to try it here I definitely prefer Daeho's better even though this one is cheaper. Some differences when compared to Daeho is that there's giant shiitake mushrooms in it and at Daeho you can add vegetables and glass noodles. Nevertheless, the kalbijjim is still decent. Jjusami was pretty good but a bit salty. In hindsight I wouldn't order these two dishes together again because their flavor profile is very similar. I also should have mixed in the bean sprouts up top because they're not flavored. I enjoyed the texture of the squid in this dish and wouldn't mind eating this dish again. The Banchan as always is spot on and the servers are constantly doing rounds to check up on you. If I had to guess, we were asked if everything was all right at least 15 times at minimum during our meal Leftovers the next day still tasted great. Overall a good experience and still a solid option for Korean comfort food in Lynnwood read more

We have been here several times. We try to come at odd hours to avoid the lines. Like 4-5pm on Friday. The food is always good and the service is very good. If you like Korean food give it a try. I loved their spicy wings. A good mixture of a little sweet and spicy. read more

It gets crazy busy here at dinner so prepare for a minimum 1 hour wait. The hotpot entrees are massive, one order is easily enough for 4 people. Be warned, if the menu indicates spicy, it is spicy! They come out boiling hot perfect. Banchan ~ fresh and good enough selection. Service was attentive and quick on the refills. Standard Korean beer & Makgeolli ~ pricey but a must with Korean food. No need to wear your Sunday best if you come peak dining ~ your clothes & breath will come out smelling like gochujang ;) read more

I came here with a couple friends for a late dinner at 8pm, and we waited a few minutes before getting seated. They had complimentary hot tea which I really enjoyed, and the menu was quite extensive. Even though it was late at night, the restaurant was still pretty busy with other diners. My friends and I shared the army stew and a plate of pork belly. I thought they had huge portions for reasonable prices. This was my first time eating army stew. I definitely would not be able to finish the army stew by myself, but I think I could finish it with one other person and the option to bring back any leftovers. I loved the mushrooms and tteokbokki in the army stew, and it was the perfect dinner for a chilly night. The pork belly was so yummy, and I appreciated how juicy and flavorful the meat was. The banchan had a nice variety of different flavors and textures of food, which I enjoyed. The service was great, and they were able to help us out with the flame underneath the army stew when the stove wasn't lighting up. I had a great experience at Modoo, and I'm looking forward to coming back. read more

- Great food and service - We came here with our friends around 11 am and got a seat right away. The restaurant was around 65% full when we came, and there were people waiting in the lobby around 11:30 am. They set the table as soon as we sat down, and hot barley tea was served promptly. I really like the design of the double sided menu since it's simple yet straightforward without too much stress on the brain. They also have their 10 (most popular) dishes with pictures that we appreciate. We ordered up ordering A2 japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), M5 Modoo Bossam (house special boiled pork belly), and S7 Gamja hotpot (spicy pork backbone soup with potato). Our order comes with 4 bowls of rice, so I guess both M5 and S7 are considered large dishes, which is meant for 2 people each. The side dishes came quickly and they were delicious. I enjoyed the acorn jelly, which is a less common side dish to find in the Korean restaurants that I visit more frequently in Bellevue. The kimchi, on the other hand, was just okay in my opinion. The M5 Modoo Bossam came first and it was delicious. The jalapeno and garlic definitely makes the taste more complex, and for once I was enjoying the ssamjang as well. I usually skip those but I think the wrap tastes better with it. The thing is though, they didn't give us enough napa cabbage to make the wraps, so that was a shame. The pork bellies don't taste that good by themselves when compared to kbbq pork belly, but I think adding them in the soup might be a good idea. A2 japchae was good as well, but it's really a safe dish that can't go wrong even in the comfort of your home when you cook it yourself (unless your soy sauce is expired???). S7 Gamja hotpot was huge, and it's on par with other Korean restaurants. I ate the meat and potato without the soup, and I think there is not much taste for the potato given it's a huge cut. So make sure to scoop some soup and eat your potato with it. Overall I enjoyed the dining experience, and the service was good that our tea were refilled 3 times. I think their employee to customer ratio is higher than most places, so it was easy for us to wave someone down to get anything we need. Oh, and I think they spent more money on the bathroom. There was even a makeup station with mouth wash, and the sinks look fancy. We didn't end up finishing everything, so we grabbed leftover home. The total comes to around $32/person after tip, which is reasonable given most Korean restaurants charge $25 or so for a one person soup, plus we also ordered the japchae. When we stepped out around noon on Saturday, there were around 20 people waiting in the lobby. I'd recommend coming early or else you'd get stuck in the line. read more
Foods were amazing! We ordered Jjusami with cheese topping (extra $3) and added cheese fried rice (+$6) after finishing our Jjusami. I can confidently say this place wins first place among all the Korean restaurants nearby! Highly recommend! Just a heads-up--there might be a long wait during peak hours. You'll need to go to the restaurant to put your name on the waitlist, so make sure to come early. The servers were super kind and helpful, always there when we needed something. read more
It's everyone favorite Korean restaurant for a reason. You can't go wrong with any item on the menu. My personal favorite is seafood pancake, bossam, and jjusami(make sure to add cheesy fried rice at the end). Their meats are tenders, spice level is balanced, and presentation is great. I just wish they had better banchan, although their fresh house made kimchee is the best I've had compared to any other restaurant. Service is friendly which is uncommon for most Korean restaurants. But expect some wait time during dinner, even on a week day. It is always crowded and loud despite the decent size. read more
Modoo was a place whenever I crave for Korean. I visited at least 10times last year. But this visit has been a while since last. Rice was mushy and tteokbokki looked kind of old. It was just not what I used to get. Service was still good though. read more
Easy 5/5. Ambience is warm and homey, and we felt well taken care of by the attentive staff. We were a little bit unsure of what to order but our server kindly recommended a few dishes that were all incredibly delicious! The galbijjim was a warm and comforting mix of sweet/spicy flavor, and the meat was super tender. The jokbal was seasoned tastefully and goes great with the sauces and a side of lettuce wrap (+$3). Seafood pancake had a nice crisp and was chock full of squid, green onions, and other veggies. read more

Modoo has always been one of my favorite Korean restaurants since I moved to WA. We always visit this spot whenever we're in Lynwood. The ambiance is great, and they offer a variety of seating options. The food is excellent; we ordered Kalbi-Tang, La Kalbi, and seafood Bean Paste stew, they were absolutely delicious. Additionally, the service is top-notch. Everyone is amazing. Aaron, our server, did a fantastic job--very kind, patient, and responsive! read more

One of my favorite korean restaurants in Seattle - if you go on a weekend go early! By 11:45 there are groups waiting. My favorites are the bossam, the tripe hot pot, and the cheese fried rice that comes after the octopus and pork belly stir fry. Their side dishes are also super yummy. It's a nicer restaurant, with great service and nice interior. So not a mom and pop shop, but still has some pretty delicious food. read more

I came in later at night and this place was packed! I had requested to sit at the bar since I was dining alone. I was quickly seated. I tried the spicy pork. It was very flavorful and not very spicy in my opinion. Nonetheless it was tasty. I'd def recommend checking this place out at least once. Very friendly staff as well. Also I loved the complimentary herb infused hot water. read more
Extremely impressed with the quality of dishes, the serving size, and the prices. They do not take reservations, and we were frustrated that when we arrived at 5:55 PM they told us we would have a 30 minute wait for a group of four people on a Friday night, but it was literally 55 minutes before we were seated. We ordered the jjusami (webfoot octopus, pork belly, and veggies), LA kalbi (short ribs and onions), the vegetable & seafood pancake, and three drinks. At the end of our meal, we asked them to make us cheesy fried rice with the leftover sauce from the jjusami. After tip, we the four of us paid $42 per person. The ambiance is a casual & family style restaurant - no tablecloths, paper napkins, and most guests are wearing jeans. The biggest drawback here is the long wait times. Service was reasonable, not impressive, but not a disappointment - service was faster than at most Seattle area restaurants, but we did find ourselves, waiting to order more food and get the check at the end. I would recommend drive to Lynnwood and deal with the wait times - the Korean food was delicious and the prices were more than fair for the portion size. read more
We came here on a Saturday for an early lunch. We randomly found this place on Google and was going to be in the area so we decided to check it out, given its high reviews. We thought the restaurant looked promising when we went in, as there was a wait and the tables were full. We ordered the 12 piece chicken wings with half original and half spicy and a beef tofu stew. We liked that they gave purple rice. The tofu stew came out first and we were excited but then disappointed. There wasn't too much filling inside and it wasn't very hot, so the egg that we put in when they first brought it out didn't actually cook. The chicken came out and we were excited but then the pieces felt so small and we were even more disappointed as they didn't taste like Korean fried chicken. The "spicy" sauce wasn't spicy and it tasted like a Chinese sweet and sour sauce. The original didn't have much flavor either. Everything was digital as every table had a tablet to order from. There wasn't much service, probably because they were so busy, but we didn't realize the button to ask for more side dishes and get more tea/water was all on the tablet either - it would have been nice if the servers proactively asked if we needed something more. We didn't feel great later on that day and considering it was the only thing we ate, we're not sure if maybe something in the food wasn't the cleanest or what went wrong. We wanted to like this place and are sad it turned out completely different. read more

We got the Jjusami (the baby octopus and pork belly) and that thing was one of the most delicious marinated meal I've had!! Was enough to share for two and we were both blown away at the price point for the quality of the food :) The side dishes were great too. Service was easy and quick, friendly as well. Solid 4 star. I heard a lot of this place but never went since it looks like it's more family style. However, we were able to get a group of 4 so we decided to check this place out. We got there right at 11 and there was already people waiting. By the time we left, it was super crowded. Service was good in the beginning but then it got a little passive aggressive at the end when it got super busy, but I can understand it. There was a lot of people waiting so they were kinda rushing us to pay the bills and stuff. Food: Banchan - refillable, and pretty tasty Dumplings 4/5- standard, good crisp and flavor Bibimbap and kalbi combo 3.5/5 --- Thai combo was pricey for the amount. It's probably the smallest portion I seen in a combo. The food was good though but I definitely expected more. The kalbi was tender and rice had some burnt pieces which was nice. They also gave you the sauce on the side Jokbal 5/5 -- Thai is my first time eating this but it was really good. The pork was super tender and flavorful and the sauces that it came with went well with it. This was a pretty big plate of food so definitely share. Overall, I definitely will come back as they have other dishes I want to try here. read more
Came on a weeknight and the place stays consistently busy. Service is very good though. While the food tasted good overall, I've had better Korean food, especially the Banchan side dishes. Seafood pancake - large size, very crispy. Tasted good but not very much seafood Combo C Soft tofu and Galbi - portion of galbi was tiny. Flavor of the galbi was correct and tasted good. But the tofu stew was too salty. M5 Jjusami - huge plate. Surprisingly good. The sauce was not that spicy and the pork belly was so good with it. Same with the rice cakes and octopus. Surprise hit for me. Banchan was a disappointment for me. There was very little flavor in the fish cakes and spinach. I didn't like the Mayo on top of the potato salad. My boyfriend and I arrived around 7:15pm-7:30pm on a Tuesday night. The wait was around 10 min so not bad! We got seated, were offered tea and water, and were provided menus. Food: we ordered 3 things: bossam ($40), octopus dish ($39), and kalbi tang ($19). The bossam was absolutely delicious! Only downside is that the cabbage provided was not proportional to the pork on the platter, so we asked for more. The waiter told us it would be an extra $5 for more cabbage. That's kind of bizarre lol. The octopus dish was yummy; it had teobokki, bean sprouts, octopus, and maybe cabbage. For Kalbi tang, my bf and I didn't think the soup was salty enough so we asked for salt. The waiter brought over the salt and pepper containers which was perfect because black pepper definitely completes a kalbi tang! While being served, our server did mix up the dishes a bit, so a cheese dish was brought to our table, but we didn't touch it yet. Our server asked if we touched the dish, we said no, and she moved it over to the table next to ours. We came in as a party of 2 on a friday night around 8pm. Parking was easy, plenty outside for free. The wait was very long, about an hour, so be prepared to wait! When we sat down, service was very fast, you order everything on a tablet, and even call for service on the tablet too. They come to you pretty fast, so it was nice having them come to you quick. We ordered the beef stone pot and kalbi beef, and comes with 6 banchan. The food was very good, kalbi was so flavorful and the stone pot mushroom stood out to us. It was way too much food for two people, next time we will share one entree. Overall very tasty, but due to the long wait, I don't think I'll be coming in often. read more
Really delicious Korean food off Highway 99 in Lynnwood! Get there early on the weekends because it was packed half an hour after opening, and a dozen+ people waiting in the lobby 45 minutes after opening. I had the combo E which was a stone pot bi bim bap with kalbi. The bi bim bap was a good portion with a nice hot pot to crisp the rice, and kalbi was also good but I just wish that portion size was bigger for the $29 price. My wife had the spicy soft tofu soup that had a nice depth of flavor without being too salty or spicy, and nice mix of all kinds of meats and seafood. Service was quick and very attentive, I think they checked on us every five minutes for more tea or banchan. As we ate we saw many of the other dishes they have on the menu, so we'll definitely be back to try more! read more
I came here out of Friday night at Peak dinner time 630 pm, but there was plenty of seating and I was able to get a table of four right away. Employees were really friendly and kind and constantly checked in on us and I think that ordering the combo was perfect, we got to try the spicy jjamppong, and I would recommend the jjajang platter over the classic bowl because I feel like the seafood enhances the sauce. Everything was seasoned really well, and there was plenty of parking in front, it was just a little hard to go in the entrance because it has a small turning point but other than that, I would come again! read more
Friend told me this was their favorite Korean restaurant in Seattle so I had to try it. Went on a random weekday evening and only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table for 2. We got the seafood pancake and the galbi jjim. The bon chon were all great. I really liked the kimchi, perfect balance of spicy, umami, salty and acidic. The mashed potato was interesting; there was some sort of honey mustard type flavor which I thought was unique. And always appreciate when a place has fish cakes. The seafood pancake was really good. The pieces were very crispy, and packed with onion and seafood goodness. The galbi jjim was also great. It wasn't that spicy, but had great umami and sweetness. The meat was so tender, easily falling off the bone. The rice cakes have a nice chew, nicely contrasting the tenderness of the meat and vegetables. We also opted to add the cheese + fried rice, where they use the leftover sauce and bits of veggies left and serve it with fried rice and a thick cheese layer. Honestly it was a bit too cheesy for my taste, but still very delicious. Service was a touch slow and they did forget our bonchon (we had to ask for it), but the food was great and I will definitely be back. read more
Service was quick at the busy restaurant. Food hits a warm spot and reminded me of authentic dishes from Korea. Their banchan is done by the chefs and tastes fresh. Banchan is rotating depending on the season. Restaurant ambience was spacious though a little on the noisy side. read more
